Title: Is investing in Burency.io/ burency.com a good idea ???
Post by: ahmedtanjid on May 30, 2020, 07:15:02 PM
I heard about Burency (exchange and blockchain development platform based on middle east) a lot through telegram. They have over 100k members in telegram group. They've recently partnered with huobi. They also featured in a lot of news coverage.

Their native erc20 token BUY are on ICO. Almost 47% are sold. My question is should I invest in buy token ??? Will it be a good choice ??? Or any exchange token suggestions other than BNB and HT.

 Update

So I see everyone asking for partnership link. I searched it online and haven't found it. But all I've found a official tweet from HuobiGlobal. Check the tweet :::: https://twitter.com/HuobiGlobal/status/1258578610476027904?s=19

One mate has doubt about McAfee, so I found this : https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/1193139897491771394?s=19

What to do now ?

I can't see any news about that project and website you have mentioned that they have partnered with Huobi. If you can give the link of their telegram channel and let's see if that's an official channel of that project, we can determine if that's a legit project.
Garnering 100k telegram users can easily be bought these days as you know.

I don't think numbers of group members should be considered when choosing a project to invest with.

That's on you. You should do proper research before investing and not rely on people's advise or opinions. It's your responsibility for anything you do in this space.

Honestly, no one should have the final say for you when it comes to cryptocurrency investments. There is the popular saying "Do you own research" for a reason. You are responsible for your decisions and as such, you should always find out all there is about a project before investing in their brand. Be careful not to get swayed by the fact that these projects promise so much, do your best to find out if what they say and present is actually true before you make a decision on whether to make an investment.

This project is most probably a targeted scam attempt via telegram. As tabas mentioned there is no information about the information of the so called burrency token or about the huobi partnership online when you make a simple Google search. And having 100K users in telegram doesn't even matter as they can be bought. So it's better to stay away from the project.

It looks like if that was another fake claim by burency.  Huobi has no announcement to create a partnership with burency. The credibility of this project must be talked as the big exchange site will always announce the partnership.

It will not be a good choice and never. It's better to stick into the upcoming exchange token from bittrex, bithumb, or invest in the existing coin like OKB.

We don't know if those members are just bots to increase the number of members. And a lot are using those paid services to boost the number of their particular social media channel. Also, this is my first time to encounter burency project. And was looking for the partnership with Huobi but there's nothing that comes up in google so yeah, where is the link stating their partnership?

I suggest you have to be careful...
I checked the burency.io site and was a little surprised, they put McAfee as their project advisor, I don't know for sure if McAfee is really their advisor, I doubt the future of the project that McAfee is involved in.

Number of telegram users are not a good indication how good or successful a project will be. Still boils down as how the project has real use case, otherwise if will be just another hype.

Really hard to give financial advises here, because you know people can make wrong suggestions. As rule of thumb, DYOR (Do Your Own Research).

The fact that McAfee advertised it before, think of it.  ::)

You sure bittrex and bithumb will bring their own coins ??? I haven't seen such news. Maybe I missed that. BNB, HT etc are matured coins. I want to invest in new exchange coins. And if the news is correct then that will be great for me. Can you please give me any sort of reference links ?

Never heard about this exchange and there is not a lot of stuff about it on Google. I won't rely on Telegram based promotions as half of them are scams. Try contacting Huobi exchange and check with them about their partnership.

Investing in native exchange tokens have been profitable in the past depending on the performance of that exchange, if this exchange is only meant to service middle east then you should invest in it after careful research.

I personally have constant doubt regarding any investment plans or options that is related to telegram one way or the other, and i will advice you refrain from getting involved in such. Likewise, why would any one invest in an ico project in 2020?

I cannot make decisions for you, but you can dyor and be sure before investing.

I find a bit suspicious sign about that exchange, Vince (one of his advisor) didn't have social media profile (e.g.linkedin).

Archived (http://archive.vn/y13zv)

And it say Vince had advised on many project and exchange (e.g. Vector Capital, QTUM, zilliqa, NEO, nem, DOGECOIN)

https://i.ibb.co/q5pM47m/Screenshot-18.png (https://ibb.co/2Nd7LWc)

But I don't any word "Vince" in these below project
  • https://www.vectorcapital.com/team

Maybe someone know what's Vince linkedin/social media or have another proof if Vince is real advised these above project.

It sounds like a potential exchange, you can invest a little in it if you want. But you need to be careful because now the new exchanges are so shady, they can become scammer at any time

Few months already I follow news and details about burrency. Looks ok, I invested some in their BUY coins too. Can be profitable. Check their telegram channel for actual news. Check yourself.
