Title: ETH wallets which support more than one address?
Post by: fabiorem on May 31, 2020, 07:39:48 PM
I'm using the Exodus wallet, but I wanted to have more addresses for ethereum. Right now, they only allow for one single address.
The same happened with the Atomic wallet.

I would run a ETH full node but it seems it requires too much computing power. The "myetherwallet" is not a option either, as I need to open the wallet in a website, and I wanted a software which could be installed in my computer, for security reasons. So what options do we have, which allows for more than one address? Any recommendation is welcome.

For you to be able to create multiple ethereum accounts on a single wallet app, you can download imtoken wallet app. It allows creation of up to 7 wallets on it. You can also check Metamask wallet extensions, I don't think it has limits. Or you create multiple wallets on myetherwallet and import their private keys on Metamask extension.

yeah, you can create multiple addresses on metamask, and all of them are accessible from the same interface
it is a good solution for small amounts, i would not recommend that to large amounts, for that ledger or similar shall be used

I have a desktop version of this wallet installed.

I'm not running a full node though, But can test it out and see how it goes for you.

The OP already said it that MyEtherWallet is not an option. He is trying to be security conscious. I think imtoken or Trust wallets are more recommendable. I have never had an issue with both and neither have i seen anyone complained about these two. Another very good one is metamast, which should work effectively well with the OP's PC.

Why not go for trust wallet easily and solve the troubles all at once?
Trust wallet fixes so much blockchain in a single app, and also offer a dapp browser functions too. You can even run the tesos wallet on trust wallet.

If you are looking to run multiple Ethereum addresses from one wallet app, then I think trust wallet or imtoken app should be completely perfect for that. You can create up to 15 or more different wallet addresses from trust wallet app alone. Am sure that is all you will ever need. However, if you are looking for a wallet that supports multiple blockchain with about 389 tokens from 32 blockchains, then you should definitely consider Hybrix wallet. Check it out

All those wallets you mentioned probably have the feature to create a new address. Just click in New account.

Personally, I use metamask
just click those buttons (Create New Account) and you will receive a fresh new address that share the same seed with your other address.

for windows i use metamask and for mobile i use imtoken and trust wallet. You can create multiple ethereum addresses in the wallet, for security it all depends on the PC and cellphone you have. make sure all is clean of viruses or suspicious links

Trust Wallet is a place that can help you manage many different wallet addresses and has been used a lot recently. Most of my assets are in Trust Wallet, so this is the best place for you to manage without having to spend too much time entering a private key. Also, you can also use imtoken because this is also a good choice for everyone.

as long as it is still safe and comfortable My Ether Wallet is the right choice. because I have been using it for some time and there are no obstacles and have been tested, related to a new upgrade I have not yet learned.

Here are list of wallets that support multiple ethereum address at the same time, all you have to do is download any one of the following wallets

1. Trust wallet
2. Metamask
3. Coinomi wallet

I am able to create more than five different ethereum address on these wallets.

The short answer: Holder wallet -----> https://hodler.tech/

I'm using the Exodus wallet, but I wanted to have more addresses for ethereum. Right now, they only allow for one single address.
The same happened with the Atomic wallet.
Stop using Exodus wallet & Atomic wallet:

 - Exodus wallet: Closed source, does not control fees, easy to hack, does not provide sufficient privacy.
 - Atomic wallet: Closed source, 26 of 28 of their repository is forked from another repository.

Your best option is to use the wallet on a mobile phone, it is safer than the desktop, and you can use many options such as:

 - Trust wallet: Open-source, supports many currencies, you can create a lot of addresses, you can easily switch between currencies.
 - MetaMask: You do not need to use it with the Chrome browser, you can download it to your mobile phone.
 - Edge wallet: user-friendly, built-in exchange, and strong security.

Quote
a software which could be installed in my computer, for security reasons.

 - Holder wallet[1]: Open Source, Desktop version, Multi-Asset Wallet, User-Friendly
 - Myetherwallet: I think the above members have explained it enough.

Actually, it has been ever posted, but long time ago and probably this thread can also help you.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4502782.0

Actually, the complete answer can be taken from @hugeblack.

I personally think that Metamask deserves it and I mostly use this wallet. this platform offers an easy way to support more than one address. We can go to the metamask and then adding the account again. However, I cannot guarantee that they are safe enough or having no problems. if they are safe and you can secure the data, it is okay.
