So I started this account a few days back but today is the first day I am using it. I am not new to this forum. I had another account that had a pretty good reputation. I mean I at least had a few friends but later that account was hacked and the guy scammed a few people and later I had to pay 0.01 BTC from my pocket. It is a small amount for most of you out there but that was all I had. After that incident, today is the first time I'm using this forum and I'm happy to see you all. :)

And during the recovery process, you can give red trust or create a flag on your hacked account, so that people who want to transact with that account will be more careful. Let say, the red trust and flag as an alert.

That's a sad story, it is really disappointing when your account had hacked by strangers especially if it so old in this forum and has a good reputation, it's hard to have that kind of account because It takes so many experiences and knowledge, because of that thing you have to start again from being a newbie rank, hoping that you won't give up just because of what happened on you.

Make it a lesson for you, so you would add more security to your accounts. We should not be contented that our account is still okay, we should do more secured ways so in the future we would not have problems.
That is a good thread from @themos, try to follow the steps so you can recover your account, but if nothing happens, just report the account.

Also, why you didn't create a new alt in that situation and open a new thread in Meta section if your account are got hacked? Maybe after you create it, the few people will aware and not get scammed from your hacked account because your account will get negative trust from DT Members

Hey OP, you have said that the previous account had some good reputation, That means you are a very known person on how to recover a hacked account. Now I am very curious to know why you did not try yet to recover your account?

Now you should move this thread in Meta and with all information, for example, the previous account link, previously staked bitcoin address if you have, etc. then it will be very helpful for you if you really want to recover your account. Good luck

You don't need help in your case. Either you want to use the forum again which you already did by creating a new account, or you can just follow pinned topics in Meta about how to recover your compromised account. [Follow links in previous replies]

Did you inform mods that your account has been hacked? You should at least leave a feedback in that profile telling that the account has been hand changed. It's mainly your fault if the hacker succeeded to scam others using the reptation of your account .

Correct. i forgot to asked about this one also. so we can re-heck through BPIP. What activities have been done by someone who hacked your account. And i agree with @sujonali. If you want your main account back.. you should make thread in meta.

If You post on meta section you will able to recover your account.

No, I never posted there. I just used to be a little active on the gambling and service announcement sections. I just saw this post. Actually is a good idea though. Thanks for it mate. :)

I said I had a pretty good reputation among a few of them who used to be active on the micro earning section. It isn't that I never tried to recover my account. I actually tried for almost 2 weeks and by that time I realized that I couldn't recover my account back because I didn't get help from the moderators, probably they might have been too busy or maybe I should have sent a mail instead of a private message. But later I had asked for help from a friend who helped me in recovering it and at that time it was too late.

You should warn fast when your account was hacked, then some DT would give some warning by temporary tagging the account. So that nobody can try to deal with the account. But You can not do it. Even you can not create any post in Meta(I am not seeing any post made in META by this account).

BTW it is not sure that the red tag will be removed or not. It depends on the user who tagged the account. But if you can prove that your account was really hacked and the hacker scammed people then there have more chances to revise the tag.

Your problem was your account was hacked. and you have already got the answer in many replies. Now you should lock this topic or move in META.

Sign a message with your old wallet address use in that account  it will help to pr0ve that you are the real owner of the account hacked.
