Title: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?
Post by: SpanishSoldier on June 02, 2020, 11:08:04 PM
Many people regret that they did not buy BTC while they first knew about it. For some, they did not sell BTC while they could. ::)

For me, I got MWC & HEX for free from airdrop to BTC HODLers, but dumped them before they peak. I could easily make 10x of my existing BTC, if I held them strong. :'(

What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?

My biggest regret i didn't sell my bitcoin and ethereum when it reached ATH. If i could do that and then i can make a lot coins right now. I expected to be the whale.

I didn't also sell my CRPT bag when it reached a peak price too. All of my regrets is not selling my coins when the big pump is not yet appearing.

My first biggest regret is that i sold more than 2 btc during 2014 when i was mining despite i knew that it's valuable than what i could understand at that time.
The second is when i invested a lot of money in ICOs.

for that we have to be more patient and more careful when it is appropriate to sell or hold tokens, so that no regrets occur, my biggest regret in crypto is not selling ETH and BTC owned by the end of 2017, I too believe both will be higher

I came to know about bitcoin in 2012 and been transacting bitcoin when it was below $100. Kept on using bitcoin but was not holding even a full coin when the bull came. That was the largest regret I have in my life. Transacted 10s of coins but never realized it would be a good investment. Similar happened for me with Ethereum,  many called the Ethereum ICO was a scam and I believed them.

talk of regret, of course, there are very many regrets that we do in 2017-2018. many did not sell their assets at the time, some were even trapped in investments. Well, basically we have the same regret at that time, which is too late to sell assets.

All cryptors have same regret. Not sell at its all time high price, sell at low price, buy at peak and hold in hopelessly when it dump, not buy Bitcoin or ETH when first hearing about them, not hold long enough.

I thought there was a similar thread of this same topic before!
The truth is as long as we exist we will always have regrets both in crypto and non crypto space, anytime you see a coin/token doing well that you are aware of but didn't take it good enough to do well brings regret,  you see a bounty you thought will not yield good rewards ended up given good rewards to those who participate brings regret, and so on.... so I guess the list of regrets keeps growing,   to me, I don't have the most regretful moment, anytime I miss an opportunity always result to me having little regret.

Sold my first Ethereum a couple of years ago for less than 50 USDollars.
when bullish hits the market Ethereum hits more than a thousand.
another one is when I sold my HYDRO Tokens so early,
Felt so much regret and devastated when it gets pumped
could have made much money from it

So far my greatest regret are holding tokens that I earned from long time bounty. I really thought that the market will be more than what its worth during the last bull season. Lessson learned; needed to be attentive and dont be greedy if there is an opportunity come at your doorstep be glad and contented with your profits. Now Im gonna be smart on holding some tokens that I think worth on the long term and those I feel as shitty project but have fair value will goes to btc wallet and wait for a good opportunity again and again.

There are a lot of things I miss in this market, but the thing that makes me regret the most is buying too many bullshit altcoins in 2018. It has made me lose more than 85% of my total assets in a while. short time. Most of those altcoins crashed and died, with no chance for my money to return

Being a diehard hodler and getting emotionally and personally tied up to my crypto holdings to the point that I wasn't able to convert them to fiat money when they are on their ATH especially on the early part of 2018.

But I guess, that experience will not deter me to continue my enthusiasm on cryptocurrencies rather it had strengthen my resolve to become more interested with this emerging technology.

My biggest crypto regret is buying a new altcoin when there was a Pump, I though I could make 2x so I opt in with all I've got, and after few hours the coin dumped in price, I walked away with half of my money, I was devastated, sad and angry but not anymore now, I believe I will make more in future, with hardwork

My mistake is not to sell when it go up to ATH. I had over 500 GBX in 2017 but I didn't sell them when the price went up to $ 40. I decided to hold it and after a few months its price went below $ 1, which is really bad and that is what makes me suffer the most up to now.

Same as me! I regret holding shit tokens for a long period of time instead of trading it with other worthy coins. At first, I felt angry but then I realized that it's all my choice. I couldn't blame anyone for my own choice! I learned a lesson in a hard way. However, it builds my experience to be smarter in the cryptocurrency market. It also builds an ability to realize whether holding or trading tokens.

Buying some mining rigs in 2018 and mining only new altcoins thinking this will make me rich easily and I continue mining shit coins for two years before I stopped, not a single coin survive today, they are all pumped and dumped and yes , abandoned.

My biggest crypto regret was in 2017 for not taking the profit with the decision of holding to get more profit. That time if I accumulate the profit then it would have more than $12,000. But, the biggest regret come for me in the later year when my Myetherwallet hacked by some unknown person. Approximately then that value was about $10,000. So, what I talk more about this.

I earned big from a bounty campaign in 2019 and I thought the project actually have a good future so I decided to hold the tokens, after just two weeks the token worth took a massive dive and I was left with pennies.

Seeing profits and not taking it, I'm sure this have been the case with many crypto investors too, this have got me rekt many times already, another one is selling real too quick, after selling the coin start a new ATH, it's very hard to make the right decision in crypto space

Mine was buying expensive mining setups and I was able to recover my ROI, now they become obsolete real quick, electricity bills takes over 80% of the generated rewards, I was forced to sell off and buy Bitcoin, something I should have done in the beginning instead of buy rigs.

I did not sell HERO, CRPT and BOScoin when they were at peak. This was my biggest mistake as I can earn 10x from these coins. Now I learn from my past that when you are in good profit sell out the existing coin.

Surely everyone here will regret that they didn't sell everything at high prices, and now they are regretting it. I was the same, but I sold too early the altcoin I bought. Before 2017 I bought quite a lot of XLM but I didn't have the patience to hold it, I sold it all when the price went up twice and then it increased a few hundred times

What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?
Not buying bitcoin few years ago when the price is still affordable and not selling my alts early of 2018 when the price is soaring high.

Now we cant turn back time and we cant change the things that happened. Indeed regrets are always in the end, you will only realize your mistakes after seeing the outcome.

Biggest crypto regret was way back 2016 when i bought Antshare now called NEO at a bargain price and then sold it when it went 100% up on the exchange little did I know that is only the beginning and saw the price peak in 2017 when it swap to NEO and bitcoin started to bullran.

It was not selling everything when it was right at the highest price in early 2018. I hold quite a lot of Nano, XLM, TRX .. but I chose not to sell them, I kept waiting for ATH but the price was always collapse and go down as low as it is right now

1. Got rekt trying to keep tokens and coins I earned through bounties

2. Sold my Bitcoin bags in early 2017, don't know Bitcoin will hit 20k at the time

3. Buying altcoins at a very costly price and the altcoins dumped in value few weeks or months later

The lesson I've learned here is to always take profits whenever it's available, I give up on my dream of becoming a whale someday through altcoins, altcoins are too disappointing

My biggest crypto regret and failure is all on altcoins, seriously altcoins are full of unbelievable losses, I lost over 4700$ investing on altcoins and I still keep hoping that one day altcoin season will return, it doesn't look like it's ever going to happen, for now any money I make from crypto goes into Bitcoin or stable coins

This was me too back them, have this big dream of where my crypto holding will take me and the many things those projects would have accomplished but that dream was dashed with first the sudden dump and secondly the disappointment from those projects I thought will be something in few years,
That was another big lesson for me, not to be too trusting and learn to take profit when the opportunity presents itself.

My biggest regret was not selling some shitcoins when I had the chance but holding and thinking I was doing the right thing, now when I recall, all I do is to shake my head in regret. Another biggest regret I had was investing in some ICO which never paid and so on. Lastly is joining a pump and dump trading group, where I learnt a bitter lesson. All these regrets and mistakes now helps me to make better decisions.

well, if you ask me, my biggest regret in trading, the most important thing is not buying bitcoin when the price is still below $ 100 and not too trusting bitcoin because at the beginning of bitcoin was created nobody knows the future of bitcoin that the price could be as expensive as this, at least until now I still feel that regret.

I was daft enough to sell 80 BTC at $2 AUD each on Trade hill and 18000 LTC for about $300 AUD I think in the same year (I mined LTC with a CPU on the day it launched).

Back in those days I never thought bitcoin or litecoin would ever go mainstream or that I could have been a multi millionare!

This year I've withdrawn a large amount from my pension fund and invested it in BTC,ETH,BNB,EOS,TRX,BAT,WRX,ADA,NEO and XTZ working on the assumption that at least a few of them will moon :)

I'll either get rich or broke ;D

I have many regrets, but problem is sitting and thinking about what I could or could have NOT done would drive me nuts, so I prefer to just use the past as life lessons, although some of the lessons can be very harsh.
One big regret is that I once invested in a scam project  and I had a video channel and was paid ten bucks a video for doing videos on the project. I did not share my referral link or had any referrals, I just joined their marketing program they had running for a while, bit like a video bounty. Well they ended up stealing all our investments but I got the backclash for making videos and was being blamed for people losing their money. This I think was grossly unfair because I NEVER took anyone's money, actually there were real marketers out there who DID HAVE REFERRALS and made tons of profit from it when it was profitable. So I ended up closing my channel and will never make any videos, not for a very long time. I realize that spending time with your LOVED ONES is much more important than spending your time on a screen, only to see the worse side of human nature. Unfortunately there are way too many so called investors out there that are too lazy to do their own due diligence and if they blame some youtuber for their loss or investment, I think is really immature and stupid because no one forces anyone to invest lol. Lesson learned for me is that many retail investors are too immature to take responsibility for their actions and they should learn from their mistakes.
Yes, my mistake was I was way too naive and actually believe the company would take off, it had huge potential, but the guys who owned it got greedy ad ran off with all our funds.
So lesson learned: don't make videos about any crypto project because you never know if it goes pear shaped, YOU will be blamed for it.
Other things I regret is not buying Bitcoin at one dollar and eight cents, not selling all my first round of coins at ATH in early 2018, not holding Bitcoin PLUS and NEM to sell at their all time highs. Trusting people in crypto too much, and I got burnt, by developers and scammers alike.

I didn't buy btc at year 2019
I think that's not a big problem for you, if you missed Bitcoin in 2019 you can still buy from now. The current price is still good enough to buy and hold, we have just passed bitcoin halving so it is certain that the price will continue to rise this year.

I am sure we have so many regrets in the past which we want to change this time or in the future. We have more chances this time, and with the market trying to rise again, we will have the opportunity to recover our loss in the past, and we can change it to make a profit. Just be patient for more while you don't have to stop what you do right now because you never know what will happen with your future. Perhaps, in the future, you will make a big profit from what you do now.

I biggest crypto regret is Park byte (PKB). In 2017, a friend called me up to invest in PKB. I bought just 60$ worth. The next day my portfolio turned 1200$ I was carried and thought it will still stay up. It came down to 240$ next day, and never grew back.

That I believed so much in altcoins and forgot about Bitcoin, this was my biggest mistake. When you come to the cryptocurrencies, you see a new world and it is very difficult to orient in it. So you're quite well influenced and thats the problem, you forgot about rational thinking.  :'(

Not only one but there are many time I have regret and those are times when I had the opportunities to earn decent amount of income in several kind of projects but let them past and did nothing but a waste of time activities that I was supposed to be doing something lucrative put of those opportunities.

In the last two years, all the coins I have accumulated with various airdrop bounty signatures, etc., have dropped from 70% to 90% each, but I was holding on to them very tightly, which was my biggest mistake. A few days ago Bitcoin went around 3000 price but I couldn't buy it due to lack of cash and loss in various coins.
It's very difficult to trade when you see the opportunity to make a profit, but there is nothing to do.

Last year I was scammed by 2 masternode coins. Candominimum was the one which ate up to 0.2 BTC of my money. They were planned scam in the name of masternodes. People from this community already altered like ICO scammers were moving to maternode business. But, regardless of how much I was careful, I chose that coin and lost all the money for buying the coin along with the money I spent for VPS.

The second one is good, I do not want to mention its name. They were into markets for years. But, their price was not doing good and also they got delisted from one of the biggest exchange. So, I am little worried on them still I keep believing like they may bounce back when most altcoins may follow BTC prices. I always suggest everyone here to be careful and it would be much better to stay within bitcoin investments.

My first best biggest regret was $500 something more then but i wasn't sold target because there was cheap price. Even i still remember that after 5-6 month later i keep sold out with total value $1000. It's the clearly mentioned something we needed holding if we wanna makes comfortable profits.

Probably Nano. I was one of the first to get it and I could have made INSANE amount of profit if I sold at the top, I saw it doing great (back then it was called raiblocks) and I was literally swimming in cash if I have sold it, but it was quite new and it wasn't really disturbing anyone and so I thought we still had time to go even further higher, with more people getting interested in it, the price should have gone up.

But there was plenty of mistakes along the way and now it worths peanuts, so I lost tons of money on it. That is my biggest loss in all of crypto, I have never invested in anything that brand new ever again, I just let the coins grow a bit first, I do not need to make a profit from the early days of any coin, I can just wait and make a tiny profit, small victories to a bigger collective profit.

Well, mine is quite different from what you have mentioned here. I have lots of regrets ever since I got in here, but they have helped me to learn things I don't know ,life is all about learning new things. First thing I regret happened when I was still a newbie, just like most noobs I was lose and believed everything I saw here. I worked really hard on faucets and a lot of things to earn some coins and I was able to raise some money. But, one thing I never knew was how to sell my Bitcoin.

So, I started going to forums and asking for how to sell my coins and lots of people proposed to buy the Bitcoin from me and pay with PayPal. I foolishly chose one of them and he told me to send the coins first. After I sent the coins he blocked me! Well, that taught me to never trust anybody again, and ever since then I've been strict with how I do business. I have also learnt a lot of things and I'm wise now, nobody would play with me that way ever again.

For me, it has to be HYDRO. I got over 200k from the airdrop and watched it climb all the way to over $2k in value and I naively help onto it with the hope that it was going to go higher
How stupid I was.... Today 222k HYDRO isn't worth up to 50usd. I have since abandoned them in my wallet in annoyance. I don't think I will be forgetting that anytime soon.

i regret many things when i was in the crypto room. at that time i lacked much experience and lost many opportunities to become rich. but now any remorse does not help me to return to that time and if i remember it again i feel short of breath.

i will forget that regret and keep going forward, i try to work hard now hoping that in the future i will not leave any regrets again.

Same here mate. I also regret that I didn't take the risk to invest a huge amount of money before bitcoin gets bullish or go to the moon from the year of 2017 because since I am a newbie, I am too afraid to invest 70% of my profit in bitcoin that time, so I only invest 5% of my profit.

your profiting 70 percent on bitcoin but why you gotta invest more ? or you mean to say buy back  ? 2017 pump didnt last long and after 2017 ends the value only drops so there is no point of regretting  .

if you already earn some profit on the year 2017 , your going to be alright . look around you , there are many people that get involved late on bitcoin and they miss the best times of btc which only happen on the year 2017   .  those people are the ones that will regret

My regret is that I didn't buy BTC when the price dropped because everyone knows investing in BTC is very potential even though the price is volatile. I'm sure after moment halving some time ago has the potential for a better price increase.

Take your time to learn more deeper, after that those regrets can be replace of hope when you already sure that you are placing your money into right position. Learn things from previous doubts or mistakes is better than taking your chances without knowing the investment that you are going to take. Not hard if you are keen to succeed around this industry.

My biggest regret is that I didn't hold Pundi X (PXS) and now it's called NPXS, I got the token from the bounty around 300 tokens, but after the swap became thousands of tokens, before I swapped the price of the 300 X lot I got $200 and when it was swapped to $7,000, that's my biggest regret

I don't think it is wrong for you to regret it because after all it has happened and to be able to forget it, then you should be able to use it as an important lesson to not too quickly take the decision to sell coins as cheap as any price, keep it saved because someday it can become a diamond that has a price expensive.

If you've invested in 2016, it's still a good time. You can already sell bitcoins at ATH and get some profit. I invested in bitcoin before but quickly sold everything and when bitcoin went to ATH, I bought them again. It was really my mistake up to the present

Yeah right, if you invested way back you are still in profits since the value still above from that particular time frame
but if you do invested from the hype, it's needed for you to hold nd wait.
There are people who invested from the last time high and loses their money because of fomoing and forget about
doing their proper research.
It's always better to keep yourself updated from how things works from the current market, you don't need to
regret but instead, use it as motivations to work well from this industry.

That's better for you caused by the ATH was not for long and the price of pundi was getting drowned so hard due to the wrong mechanism that has already implemented by the developers. at least you are still getting some money into your pocket.

It is a small loss, so don't be too sad with it. I have seen a lot of people lose and ignore the opportunity over the years, just forget it and continue. I believe you will find good projects, and get a lot of money from them

Hindsight makes us wiser, I know.

My greatest regrets are in two folds:
1. Investing in ICOs — it was a huge loss for me as most of them turned worthless and some scammed. That was in 2017. You won't catch me invest in ICOs now, not even IEOs no matter how enticing they seem.
2. I regret getting involved in bounties that promoted projects that later turned worthless and shitty without any focus and achievable roadmap. It's like helping the bad guys get away with fraud.

If you knew the future, you would have become a millionaire or a billionaire. So you don't have to regret missing them, I was one of the people who saw Binance in the first few days, they did an ICO and looked at their original website so nonsense and could not be compared to Poloniex or Bittrex.

Tell you the truth, that hardly needs to be regret since at least, you got something coming out of it. Yes, you could have 10x but you still have 1, right? Mine is different. Instead of BTC, it was ETH. I saw how it was around $1-2 per ETH and I got 10 grand of cash lying around but didn't invest in, just put in the bank. I really hate myself over that stupid decision and very regret about it.

You shouldn't feel sorry for yourself if you bought a coin at ATH and it is now dead. Likewise you shouldn't regret if you didn't sell at ATH.
These are experiences that everyone has to make. It's the only way to learn. But you should regret, if you makes these mistakes again.

that means the whitepaper can't be a good thing to determine how good the project. Sometimes it just being created to fool the investors with their non sense idea that's too good to be true.

M own crypto regret came when I was still a novice. I bought cryptocurrencies when most were at their ATH and that was early 2018. When everything started plummeting, I still thought they would all come back again.
Back then, I used to tell myself something, that there's no one that buys high, that would ever want to sell low, but I was wrong. Little did I know that many were just selling off in order not to incur more losses. I lost so much that I could not sell again. However, I have learnt my lessons.

Otherwise. I sold assets too fast before the big pump.
At that time I was really sorry, it took days to be able to accept the "error". Until I realized that it was out of my control, I was grateful because even though I could not join the party, I had already made quite a lot of profits.
Mistakes are not to be regretted but used as lessons so that we do not overdo the same mistakes.
No matter how good we do the analysis, it is only a prediction that can be precise and miss, so we should also prepare a strong heart and mentality.

That is, we really cannot control everything, when there is an urgent need, we inevitably have to sell these assets. I also felt it, at that time I had benefited which I felt was sufficient, so I sold it to fulfill my dreams with my family. I was sorry, but after a while, I was able to accept it, the good side is that I can make my family happy, after all, I have also made a profit.
I am sure there will be a good opportunity like that again, so just like you, I keep trying :)

As time has passed what I regret has changed, as you may guess when I was a newbie I regretted not being more serious about this market sooner, but once I have learned more about the market my biggest regret changed to not have learned about how to trade and invest sooner, that way I would have realized the opportunities that were in front of me and that I was blind to see at the time, even now despite all the time and effort I have spent I am still not happy with my level of expertise on those topics and I am constantly trying to improve them as fast as possible so that does not happen to me again.

I big rewards mb8coin but i can't sold right time. Although when i sold mb8coin then price going down but happy participate in mb8coin. We know mb8coin was long run campaigns with nice bounty amount.

I also participated in the campaign but unfortunately i dont participate in second round, and when i get my coin i sold about 50% to people when the market not release yet, very dissapointed but that was my mistake because not wait for listing on exchange.

Yeah i have faced similar regretful situations many times but i donot let them get on my mind, once a decision is taken we should stick with it and move on. I remember getting xyo tokens from there ico but they got 50% below ico price after listing on exchanges but in few months it was back to ico price and i exit it at break even but few days later a big exchange announced listing xyo which rapidly increased it price and it hit over 5x from ico price so i was like if i had waited a little more i could have made big profit but anyhow no damage done.

I don't know whether we would gain anything by talking about the past. We need to learn about our mistakes from the past, and then need to move on. I first entered the world of cryptocurrency in 2017. And back then, I decided to stick to Bitcoin. That was a very bad decision, as many of the altcoins gave as much as 100x or 200x returns in 2017. And when I made my investment with the alts, it was too late. By then, the bubble had already burst.

everyone has the biggest regret in their entire life, and I think this seems to be talking about the past. yes, whatever it is, I'll tell you a little about my experience first. at that time I sold 20 BTC = $ 10k and I made a profit of about half the initial purchase price. I am very sorry I didn't set aside some BTC for investment right now, imagine if I still keep 3 BTC until now, maybe I'm not in an economic financial crisis, if I sell it at $ 9k x 3BTC = $ 27k?

The all-time high Bitcoin Price Index was $ 19,783.21 on December 17. a close meeting of $ 20,000 was followed only a few days later with a 30% reduction which shaved off billions of dollars of total cryptocurrency market capitalization. That is one of the biggest market corrections seen to date, sending bitcoin prices falling below $ 11,000.

Over the next few days, the price of bitcoin will recover, rising again beyond $ 16,000 and higher on other cryptocurrency exchanges around the world. But as the latest price charts and data show, the value of bitcoin has begun to fall, down to $ 13K on December 28 after opening the day above $ 15,000 at the time.

My biggest regret was, I wasn't able to buy ethereum from this previous drop when its price reached above $100. It was the greatest chance for a small-time investor like me to enter and hold ethereum. I wasn't just too sure that time and wasn't able to make a clear decision to pursue the investment I want.

Holding shitcoins on my purse. When the bull run arrives i have some few tokens that have good value but of course I become so greedy expecting more until I cant sell some of my tokens and become useless. Thats what my greatest regret on altcoins, so if ever I held some valuable coins or tokens once again I would not let it slide this time.

Will exchange that for top coins such as bitcoin and ethereum.

The biggest regret I did not do in crypto is that I did not track the price of a token (TCO) I have in my wallet that reaches the price of up to thousands of dollars. I really did regret that I did not keep on track of the market price of that token. If I did that, I will not struggle this much in my life now and I should have helped my family a lot. I learned my lesson though. Hopefully I will not do the same mistake again.

This was one of my biggest regret wasn't able to monitor price a certain coin I hold that it reach an all time high. This is very important to always keep updated on the coin you hold so you can gain profit. Many of us had a regrets also of not buying btc when it was so low. A lesson learned to keep in mind on grabbing the opportunities to earn in crypto.

Well my biggest crypto regret was I didn't sell my cryptos when the market was bullish it was year 2017, I'm so greedy that time I just want to earn more but unexpected the dumped happens.

Anyone who was here and didn't sell during the top can say the same thing. And one more thing is common for us who were here before that, we could save more, we could earn and invest more, we could, but we didn't. Each of us lost some on gambling, bad investments, or some third reason... each of us have some mistakes made in the past, and many repeat those mistakes again, but that's life, you can't win all the time, we learn, we practice, we gain more experience... so in the end you can't have regrets for real, something you lose (coins, money), some things you gain (life experience, knowledge for future investments, friends).

There is no doubt that Bitcoin White is a crap coin, just like the thousands of shitcoins out there. But the thing to remember here is that shitcoins can have value, at least for a limited amount of time. This particular crap coin was airdropped for free. So it was free money for anyone who holds Bitcoin. Those who didn't applied for the airdrop may be regretting about it.

Same as yours but we can never really sure if we keep holding that the price will go up, we need to be quick to take profit because so many tokens are losing their value because of the dump if you are a bounty hunter the worst thing that can happen you is not getting anything because the token or coin lose its value, I'm not saying you dump immediately, it's just you need to follow the development of the coin.

I am holding shitcoins also but the difference is that it does not have any value on the market. I have been joined some airdrops and there where it came from which also a reason why my valued coins disappear on my wallet. It is ungrateful experience because of greediness, instead of having more, you turn into nothing. When there is an opportunity, grab it because that might not happen again.

What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?

My biggest regret in the cryptocurrency markets was to sell heavily before the bull season.  In addition, not being able to take advantage of the opportunities in this process, especially trading with small capital during the bull period, is among my great regrets.  On the other hand, one of my biggest regrets in the crypto money markets was trading with leverage.  Although I did not use a very high leverage ratio, there were times when I lost almost all my capital due to the volatile market.

We all have pretty similar regret, I entered crypto on the year 2017 and accumulated a bunch of cryptocurrency from airdrop, bounty and some Bitcoins. I guess the sum of my portfolio went up to $20, 000. But I didn't cash it out or convert to a stablecoin, I pretty lose more than half of it. At that time I really don't have the knowledge on how to manage my cryptocurrency, I am struggling to determine which one is good to hold and not. But overall It is just free money I still earn a decent amount.

I've had Pundi X in my stash and I didn't sell it high enough when I had the chance to. My wait was to make around BTC1.5 and that was the exact target I reached with the number of NPXS I had. But greed, greed to make more money made me crazy and i just held it. Then the crash took place because BTC started to fall down. Later, I still held it thinking that the markets will recover and that was my biggest regret.

Yeah, many people regret it and they also feel bad when the coin falls and trade or investors get late. The market never remains the same we will have to keep our eyes on the market and if you see the price is Down so you will not have to pay a high amount but the result will be so bright as huge profit. I was tempted by those people who say that it drops more and possible for $3k which it keeps me waiting but I was surprised it turns back high in a few hours. That it is much better to have our own market understanding, think that all are unpredictable. Whales could actually tell you not sell or have to sell it because they are manipulating the market and the sad thing is that we have been tricked several times before we realize the mistakes we do.

The same thought you had when you were told it would fall, will still be the same even when you were told it would rise. This was my experience too.
Although I was not having the money to buy at that time, I wanted to borrow, but I thought of it again that if should borrow to invest in crypto, it would be a wrong decision.
Sometimes, some risks are just worth-taking.

This is why, one should never try to time the market. But, historically, there is a relationship between ATH and halving. To be specific, 2013 ATH came 368 days after halving in 2012. 2017 ATH came 525 days after halving in 2016. Time taken to reach next ATH is just getting longer. In any case, you can't, ever, accurately predict the ATH.

it does not mean that you are cheated by most whales because in the crypto market people who hold their coins in large quantities can sell at any time. as ordinary investors we can only monitor the market situation so as not to lose the opportunity to sell or buy. related to that I have the biggest regret especially when disposing of BTC for $ 4k. it was a mistake I could not analyze market movements and rush to sell losses.

Lol, most of the people over here are regretting because they didn't sell during the peak price of the btc or other coins. Again, most of them regrets because they didn't buy when it was cheap. I am sure we will still be seeing them crying even if they buy it during those times.
Like, how do you guys know that the price you failed to sell was actually the highest BTC could go? Maybe it is a good thing you didn't sell. The price is probably going to rise more.
If you are still holding the coins, there is nothing to regret. As long as you hold the coins, you haven't actually lost anything.
And to others that say they regret for not buying when the price was 3k or 4k USD, but it now or you will regret for not buying when the price was 9.5k USD.

Most regrets come in 2017 or 2018, and the reason is that they are late selling assets. Well, I also have a reason like that. but, if we all go back to that year, and realize this, then everyone will try to sell their assets, and guess what will happen, it can make crypto have no value or a very low dump.

LOL true! All of that comes to the biggest regret that I didn't have enough knowledge, skills and experiences when I first came to the market. Because of that, I experienced a lot of losses during that point of time. There was a time that I was totally desperate about my ability. I thought I couldn't handle anything and felt useless. I'm pretty sure people will regret missing out on an opportunity to sell them all in 2017, and I am the same. My mistake was not to sell everything when the price was up and I was stuck there until now, the price hasn't gone up to the old ATH and some of the altcoins I'm holding are dead.

For me my Biggest Crypto regret is joining crypto bounties that paid me so much crypto tokens but these tokens are like useless to me because some these projects have been abandoned. The project mangers are not doing or saying anything about them anylonger.

I didn't sell TRX when it went up to $ 0.25, I was able to make a lot of money from holding TRX in 2017, but because of my greed and I lost it all. If I had been awake and sold them at the end of 2017, I might now have a better life

surely everyone who was in crypto when 2017 had good and bad experiences and I think this moment is the biggest of all pump / dumps of all time.
lucky for brands that sell right in the range of 15000-19000, and unlucky for those who expect too much and choose to hold it longer.
I was in the unlucky part.
so maybe I'll wait for another chance next time.

Received Hydro airdrop but sold them too early. In 2018 I participated in their airdrop and received 222k tokens. But I quickly sold it when they listed at the exchange, after a while the price increased many times and I missed my chance to get rich.

I don't think I have anything to regret about. Unlike some I have not been scammed before, and that's because right from time I'm always careful. As for airdrops, I don't do airdrops, I have only done it once but the procedures were very annoying I had to forget about and I never looked into it again, even the token I tried to claim, I can't remember the name again, no time.

My main focus has always been on bitcoin and it really worked for me. I spent all my years that I was here watching Bitcoin and didn't listen to people that were persuading me to diversify. It was only from 2018 that I considered investing my money in Ethereum. And then came Blockchain's Stellar airdrop which I claimed $24 and invested an extra hundred bucks, but never looked at it again, since it decreased in price after the airdrop.

My Biggest regret was the time i'm collecting eth via my gpu mining rig when it first launched, been collected 3500ETH during the time the difficulty is very low and the people compared it to litecoin, the I sold 90% of it for only 0.09usd each! I couldn't believe when the time comes that eth reached 1500usd I can't imagine how big money i've been earn during that day.

It is a long time, if you can hold them until you reach ATH then you really are a genius and have patience. I like you, in 2014 I had a lot of XLM and if I could hold them until 2017 then maybe I have at least $ 5 million.

The world of crypto is full of regrets, it's part of life of every trader, holder and miner, I can't imagine if i won't sold it during that time and i hitted the ATH it's $5.2M, assuming that i sold it at the price of 500usd, it is a big money, you can never earn it in your life time doing a job.

My regrets mostly resolve around not taking profits and then seeing the market dump again and then again a new cycle of wait starts, my indecision whether to sell at the right time always costs me and sometimes i want to take profit and open the computer for that then i do not do it and decide to wait more which just kills all the profit later. I need to develop this skill of taking profit to do well in this market otherwise i will keep trapped and full of regrets.

also same with me,but i don't take it now because i have moved on and not worrying about my fast mistakes.

Maybe we all have the greatest regrets we have ever experienced during investing in the crypto world and I also experienced this problem when Ethereum could reach the highest amount at that time and I still retain and finally regret that I feel today because the price of Ethereum has not been able to penetrate the highest number like that, and until now still continue to maintain and always hope to be able to resell.

For me!
I miss the chance to buy Bitcoin at $3.8k.
Which is why when you are trading you should not listen to anyone, if your strategy is telling you it is a good moment to buy then you should do it regardless of what you hear on the news, however in order to do this you must have a very clear idea of what you want to achieve with your trading activities and in order for that to be true you need to have backtested your strategy not only against most of the coins in this market but also against many other markets to verify its validity, and in my experience that is something very few people go through the trouble to do.

And this is sadly a real regret when compared to the ones people who bought low but did not sell high have.

Really guys  not selling at 20 thousand when you bought for 5 shouldn't be a regret for you. You still made money and will make more if you continue to hold it. Those who lost their coins in scams and exchange hacks are the ones that I really feel for.

Unfortunately, you have chosen the worst exchange. Another mistake was all tokens in one exchange. Without a top exchange like Binance, we shouldn't store our coins in exchange. I'm doing my best to find a good one. I chose the wrong time to start a bounty campaign. I have some harmonious coins but I couldn't sell them properly.

I'm so sad about your biggest regret, but in my mind, it higher risks of storing cryptocurrencies on any exchange. We must try to find another way to store our currencies. l think it is an easier way to steal money from exchange, instead of other ways. We should be careful.

Everyone have it's own experienced in terms of regretting decisions, there are cases that instead of selling greed comes up
and  keep you waiting for a much higher value.
Time where you should hold but fear comes up and let you sell everything and afterwards pump happen where value is really
huge and very unexpected.
Those times happened from the past and in order to compensate from that regret, better to think wiser and learned from those
bad experienced.

There's still a good chance to make the right decision, those regrets should be use as a learning patterns to be more successful
while still inside this industry.

Well what do you know we have the same regret I should have sold all my waves and Kucoin shares on their all-time high, I expect the market to still go up but after reaching the all-time high it went down and never recover, I lose a huge amount of money if I am not too greedy to wait to get the price to continue going up.
There's a big possibility of another all-time high and we all need to be quick to see if it will continue or crash, the year 2017 is a big lesson for all of us, something that has made us mature and serious.

I think we can all sympathize with no buying all the bitcoin that we could when its price was very low, and I think many investors tried to compensate for this error by investing all their money in altcoins that were not worth it and paid the price because of it, and the saddest part is that many of those investors never learned anything from it and kept doing the same over and over again not realizing their mistake until their capital was completely gone, but at that time it was too late to do anything.

What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?

My biggest crypto regret is not having bought Ethereum when it came into inception back in 2015. I had the chance to do so when I first started with crypto back in 2014. ETH was worth cents, and now it's worth hundreds of dollars (USD). I also regret not getting into Bitcoin earlier when prices were dirt cheap. By 2009, I was already in high school and well-fond of computers and technology. Used to hear about Bitcoin by then, but I've thought it wasn't going to be a success. Guess that I was all wrong, as now Bitcoin is the biggest cryptocurrency in the world worth thousands of dollars (USD) on the market. If I had mined Bitcoin with my laptop's CPU back then, I would've been a millionaire today.

At least, you get to learn from your mistakes. Now I'm always on the look for new & promising projects to invest into. If they have a good vision and development team, I try to invest into them early before they become well-known in the crypto/Blockchain space. That way, I can buy low and sell high for profit. Every time new cryptocurrencies emerge with innovative features here and there. But only those that remain persistent in development and innovation will survive in the long run.  ;D

Another regret was not selling my first campaign salary. It's price really dropped real low and I really regret selling it late.

It was an unfortunate mistake in this market, I had previously lost my private key and could not recover it. But it was fortunate because I didn't hold too much money there, it only cost me over $ 1,000 and I quickly recovered from that loss

This might have happened to almost everyone here. During my initial days, I got a few mBTC from various contests and giveaways, but lost them as a result of my carelessness. I never cared to backup my Blockchain.info wallet, and as a result when I lost access to the email account, the wallet became inaccessible as well. The same happened to one of my MEW wallets as well.

One of my biggest crypto regret is that I sold Hydro airdrop at a cheaper rate thinking thatti sold high, two days later hydro went to an all time high, I couldn't bear it for that whole week, because I would have made huge amount from both airdrop and the one I bought from the dip

I can sympathize with this since it happened to me as well, one day I was backing up my wallets one by one and instead of copying and pasting my wallet to another location I cut and paste, this would not have been a problem but I got confused and by accident I deleted the wallet that had no backup, just as I was doing this I realized my mistake but it was too late, I tried by all means I knew to recover the deleted wallet but I was unlucky and had to come to terms I lost that money forever.

My experience is that sometimes you are too optimistic, and sometimes too pessimistic. That made me sell a lot of altcoins at the lowest price, and now when I look back I wonder why I made such decisions. So for now I will sell them when the market is most optimistic because in my opinion, it is the best time to cashout.

Quite honestly you have nothing to regret, you are a few years late but that is not important, this market is still very young and there are still lots of opportunities for anyone that is dedicated enough, now in a way you are right since it is not going to be as easy as before but since this market is only composed of a few million people you are still early enough, bitcoin will most likely go way above its current all time high during the next decades and if you have enough of it you could achieve your goals so keep trying to get all the bitcoin you can while the price is still reasonable.

My biggest crypto regret that I didn't sell my cryptos when it was peak. It was bullish market that time so I felt bad even that I earned it from bounties.

It's better late than never. I think that you're still early in the game, since crypto is not fully mainstream yet. There's a long road to go before crypto reaches widespread adoption in the mainstream world. Once scalability and volatility issues are solved, you could expect major cryptocurrencies to rise in price like never before. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other leading cryptocurrencies on the market will go all the way to the moon in a blink of an eye. When we began in crypto land, we used to make many mistakes back then. But as time goes by, you get to learn from your mistakes resulting in ever-lasting success in this wild crypto venture.

As far as I can tell, any cryptocurrency can become a worldwide success (like Bitcoin) if it provides real use cases for everyday people. You can do your own research in order to separate the good cryptocurrencies vs the bad ones. The more you dive into crypto land, the more you'll experience you'll get. The knowledge obtained over the years, could be put to good use by leading newcomers in crypto land to the right path. Remember, every decision we make, has a deep impact over our lives (either good or bad) in the long term. There isn't a single person who hasn't regretted making a wrong decision in crypto land. As long as you improve based on personal experience, you'll be able to withstand anything in your way. Just my thoughts ;D

Ooh, that's a big regret if you lost your wallet private keys. Fortunately, I'm a kind of a perfectionist, therefore, I'm always careful about this. I save my private keys on many devices such as laptops and phones. Furthermore, I also keep a paper one in my wallet. Caution is the parent of safety! Same as WannaCry, I only have common matters.

you can say its annoying if it happend to you before but if it really did happen to you  why you didnt learn  .  for god sake you already learned its pattern that the moment you sell the price will start to rise so you shouldnt sell off .   your reason on why you sell off is also light and funny ,  you sell off just because you are tired of hodling ? lol  . while others are selling not because they are tired of hodling but because they need money , that was okay to sacrifice what you already build  .

I think everyone, just like I have one big problem in the cryptocurrency sphere, is that we often sell tokens at a very low price and after sale after some time these tokens grow in price again and we see that if we would wait longer, we could earn even more.

I can relate because I also have experience of selling early and not able to wait for the perfect time to take profit. We really need patience if we invest not only in crypto but in general.

I have regrets of not buying the coin that im holding now when the price is still cheap and regretting the time I made a wrong decision due to lack of patience.

regret is always like that. I also experienced it but somehow such a time will never be repeated. finally, I had to decide to have a few assets for investment and focus more on my trading.

Yes most people must be regret that we didn't buy bitcoin earlier, or ethereum.
Regret alone won't make us gain profit, what we must do is find a good coin like btc and eth, so we can buy it when its still progressing.
Anyway, there are several great coins other than btc or eth, it means we can find some great coins in the future too, hopefully.

It's true. Sometimes I start thinking about what I was doing in 2008-2011 and then I realize I heared *bitcoin something* on that time but just ignored...
In 2010 it was possible to claim 5 bitcoins for just one visit at a faucet for free, but I just ignored that. It's a very bitter feeling, isn't it?
However we shouldn't regret for what we haven't done. We should be thankful to be here right now enjoying the opportunities that appear to us while hoping and expecting the best is yet to come.

There are many opportunities in crypto, many coins made huge profit for early investors. It would be great to invest in Bitcoin in 2011 or in Ethereum ICO, but rather than regret of missed opportunities it is better to search for the new ones.

Holding my 2017 positions thorough the whole bear season would probably be my biggest regret, but back then I was oblivious about market cycles, so I just fell on the 100K $ BTC hype train. One of my other big regrets is not participating in the Binance ICO as I intended to, but I somewhat managed to miss the sale altogether. There are many more, like selling at ATH, but those are just the obvious ones.

in 2017, I bought BNB for less than a dollar, but soon came the negative news on China and I sold them in a small profit, how wrong I was.

A few months back, I dumped all my BSV coins because Blockchain.info was ending the support. I got around $100 per coin. Just a few months back, Craig Wright did some crazy manipulation and the exchanges rates shot up to $400 per coin. I am still bitter about my loss, but there was hardly anything that I could do. It was impossible to store the coins in Blockchain.info wallet, as they had ended their support.

That I havenīt started earlier. This is the most common answer to your question. And secondly, that I sold some altcoins, which I have earned in bounty campaigns before they achieved ATH price. For example, instead of having 6BTC I only had 0.3BTC. With 6 BTC I would not have to work anymore.

Altcoins usually have pump and dump cycles. Very few people would be lucky enough, to sell their coins for peak prices. So you don't need to get depressed. It has happened with me as well. I had Deep Onion coins, which I received from bounty signature campaign. I sold some of them (around 20%), when the price was around BTC0.001 per coin. I kept the remaining 80% with me, and the prices have fallen by almost 99%.

No one can predict the future of altcoins, like me in 2019. I bought some EGT in March 2019, worth about $ 500. But I quickly sold them all when the price went up 3 times. But the price didn't stop there, it kept going up and its ATH was 300 times the price I bought

I had the exact same experience with Ethereum. Back in the day, there was a coin named "Ethercoin" that was meant to be exchanged at a 1:1 ratio to ETH. The main Ethereum blockchain didn't launch back then. But "Ethercoin" mean to be an early entry point to ETH, giving traders and investors an opportunity to speculate on the price of real "Ether" (ETH). Prices were dirt cheap at $0.33 (USD) per coin. I've proceeded with caution, buying the least amount of "Ethercoins" possible in order to minimize my losses (in case the coin turned out to be a scam). Right after ETH launched, I was able to redeem my "Ethercoins" at a 1:1 for real "Ether" (ETH) just as it was claimed to be. Didn't have the chance to buy more coins, as the main Ethereum blockchain launched thereafter. Prices per ETH started rising at a fast rate, within a short amount of time. I've totally lost the opportunity to become rich with ETH now sitting at around $310 per coin.

Anyways, you get to learn from your mistakes. I don't think anyone had a steady life in their crypto journey. The crypto/Blockchain space is very unpredictable and widely unregulated, which means it's full of surprises. You can either make a good or bad decision altogether. As long as you don't make the same mistake over and over again, you'll be able to succeed in the long run. Every decision you make will completely change your life forever. In crypto land where everything moves at a fast pace, you need to be vigilant exploiting every opportunity possible to stay ahead of the game. Just my opinion :)

What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?
In Indonesia Mb8coin was sold in its own fiat currency. Later the coin price was so high. These couldn't be a good example but you should accept all of these situations. My biggest regret is the wrong time. I missed the last bullrun of cryptocurrency, which was the biggest pump in crypto history.

My biggest regret is when ICO lending (like bitconnect or hextra) was hype, and I was careless with investing my profits at the time. And I didn't sell some of the shitcoins I got from the bounty campaign, and now almost all the projects are dead and the tokens are worthless :'(.

Not booking the profit during the massive bull run of 2017. I was fortunate enough to invest just before the bull run started but fa I failed to cash out and got greedy. Learnt a lot though.

I am just like you, I also stuck with the BCC project and lost a lot of money with it. Also I wasted more than $ 30k from bounty because not selling them, eventually the projects died and the price dropped hundreds of times. :'(

One of my biggest regret here in the crypto world is when I was too complacent during the golden years of Bitcoin and I was not able to maximize the opprtunity that I got. Now, I am still hoping and waiting for another abundant year here in crypto world.

What I have regretted most is cashing out on my bitcoin to solve some personal problems. Even though problem was solved, more keep coming and I have no bitcoin again. I believe it would have been better if I had borrowed even from a bank to solve that problem while having my bitcoin intact. The joy I used to get from view my portfolio is no more.

Things happen in life. Sometimes you'll need the money to survive in the mainstream world. In this case, it's inevitable to sell Bitcoin in exchange for Fiat to satisfy your daily needs. I used to sell a lot of Bitcoin within my early days, only to lose the opportunity to make a substantial amount of profit after the 2017 bull market run. While I regret taking that decision in the first place, I've learned a valuable lesson. It's mistakes like these which helps you gain experience in crypto land. I'm sure no one here hasn't done a single mistake in crypto. The more mistakes you make, the more you'll learn, becoming an expert in the subject. It's today where now I'm very careful in taking my own decisions with crypto. I usually do my own research on any project I'd like to invest into, check the market trend, and make a decision based on that. As long as you don't make your decisions based on someone else's opinion, everything will be fine.

Nonetheless, newcomers into crypto land are the ones who often make mistakes. Veteran crypto users are often more careful because of their years of experience. In this strange and bizarre world of crypto, anything can happen. Crypto's path is highly uncertain as positive and negative things happen in a blink of an eye. You'd need to be prepared for the worse, always taking advantage of any opportunity that arises over time. Otherwise, you'll regret deeply not doing the right thing at the right time. Just my thoughts ;D

My biggest crypto regret is selling 3 million LEND extremely cheap (at peanut rate) on etherdelta, and also holding Bitdegree till date. Sometimes we follow project hypes, decide to hold for long term and get disappointed in the long run. I remember when Bitdegree had so many partnerships and influencers like suppoman shilling it hard. My bag which worth about 3000$ in 2018 now worth nothing. I even turned off the token on trustwallet to avoid bringing back bad memories. Sometimes we sell too soon when we are supposed to hold, but nobody knows the top or the bottom of any coin so this mistake must surely keep repeating.

And not only that for being in trading I mistake to trade some of my BTC in a wrong altcoins I thought in a first place I earn to the altcoins that I trade but it still gonna worst and drop the price so much and no one can tell if they rise again or not.

My biggest regret in the crypto world is not buying Bitcoin at the beginning of an open trade, imagine if I bought Bitcoin in 2011/2012
in large numbers and I hold until now. For sure I am a millionaire already, that's my biggest crypto regret. Then the newest my regret
is that I didn't buy Ethereum when the price was under $ 200.

My biggest regret after 6 years in the crypto industry was when I lost 2 BTC on an HYIP investment site, at that time I was confident in HYIPs. In the past, double coin sites were a trend and at that time the price of BTC was still $ 300- $ 400 because at that time I had no knowledge of HYIP sites so I invested there which at first was quite easy. After a few times I started to lose control and ended up losing 2 BTC, and maybe if I still had that 2 BTC until now, I would have made a lot of profit with the increase in the price of bitcoin now.

I hope this 2020 will come as same as 2017 so i can exchange all my alts into BTC and take is at fiat.

The scale of regrets remains unmatched each time. I think each one of us can relate to this feeling in cryptoworld. When the price peaks you regret not buying sooner, when it falls you regret not selling sooner. What i mean is, in this journey even the exhilarative highs are sometimes mixed with regrets.

Share how you have chosen your current signature campaign. I'm a bit confused with Nominex tokens. First the token price. It is said that they cost $1. But the project can write any price they want. Second - as I understand, tokens are used to pay 50% of a trading commission fee, they are not traded and you can sell them only in ~300 days. They dont have smart contract for NMX and they distribute them daily to traders for free. By the time you get your reward, this $1 can turn into $0.01 :)

I remember they had bounty and airdrop also :)

I have lots of regrets and one of them would be not sell the coins that I have when the price hit their ATH and keep holding them in hoping for another great price and yet it never happened. And so yeah, I have quite a lot of losses. Bitcoin is one of them as well, when it reached its ATH few years ago and then the next few months the price suddenly on declines. Well, I was making sure not to repeat another mistake as my old self though. Which is knowing when to hodl or not.

I got my friend in on bitcoin and that time when it went down, my friend was really vocal about his frustration about the loss. I got carried away and sold all my coins for cheap, then after just 2 months bitcoin reached its highest. I wouldve been rich for life if i hadnt sold it. Still one of my biggest regret. That was hard to let go.

This isn't really a big crypto regret since at that time, I'm still a newbie in cryptocurrencies but that is the only thing that I've regretted in my whole crypto journey.

My biggest regret that is related to crypto is that I didn't bought any Bitcoin last 2018 and last March of 2020. If only I have some spare cash at those moments then I'm enjoying a huge profit right now but unfortunately I didn't have any cash at that times. Although I'm earning Bitcoin still, the feeling is different when you bought Bitcoins at the lowest price possible.

I regret that I bought 10 bitcoins invested in a multi-level project. I have made a profit but I still regret what I did.
I have been in the crypto market for 4 years but the bed as opportunities are not for me. When I heard about bitcoin, ethereum, XRP, and DASH. Their value is very low, ETH, DASH around 8 $ and XRP is only close to 500sts. If I kept 10 bitcoins now, maybe my life would have changed a lot. I was able to buy a house for myself and have a better life.

Going through this thread, I've read so many lamentations/regrets and some are similar to my experience. For instance, I regret selling my ETH super cheap in the good old days, even when I bought back this year during the March crash at 115$, I sold back around 140$ which is not even close to the current price. I've learnt never to regret when i sell in small profit and the coins price increases later on, I only regret not selling when I'm supposed to sell to take profit, then later on the coin dips hard making me a shitcoin bagholder.

everyone has very different experiences. indeed, many projects that we hold in our portfolios become a scam after a while, but if you have a lot of coins, then 1-2 coins that will grow very strongly can bring you 1000 percent profit and replace your losses in other coins

ICOs were extremely hyped back in the day ETH was just starting to blossom. As well as you did, I've lost the opportunity to sell some tokens earned from bounty campaigns when they were still traded on the market. If had sold all of my bounty earnings, I would've made a lot of money by now. Instead, I've decided to wait until prices became much higher on the market. It was a mistake by my end, as now I'm holding a bunch of worthless tokens that have been abandoned by their developers. It's up to this date, where I regret my actions taken within ICO's early days. At least, you get to learn from your mistakes.

I'd suggest that you quickly get in and out of new crypto projects to take advantage of them whenever it's still possible. If you plan on waiting for prices to become higher on the market, you might never get the chance to profit big time. I usually keep an eye on crypto projects to invest within their early days. Right after prices start rising, I quickly sell all of my holdings for profit. Repeat this cycle and you'll be successful in this wild journey of crypto. Remember, always do own your research and never make your decisions based on other's opinion to minimize losses as much as possible. Just my opinion :)

That means you regret not having time to buy Bitcoin in 2018 when the price was $ 4,000? if something like that you say is a regret, then very many people are sorry at this time because they are afraid to buy in 2018 when the price is decreasing.

Probably the most recent time Chainlink's price fell to $ 2.1 but I didn't buy it. At that time I just woke up and did not understand what was happening to the market, I was afraid and did not dare to take risks. Up to now, its price has been x7 times and the highest is x9 times. I want to believe that, if everyone in the crypto space is asked about one regret or the other, definitely there would be one or two of such.  A friend once told me, you can't get things right always in the space.
Part of my regrets was when I sold some airdrops for just $15 and just a week later, the same amount of coin worth about $400.  Just a little patience from me, but I was too in a rush.  A little patience at times, can lead to a huge positive transformation.

definitely, mining is not like what it used at the beginning of cryptocurrencies where you can make quite the profit. Right now it's a lot more difficult and need to compete against big miners aswell.
for us who have kinda relatively weak mining rigs and not gonna pays off. not to mention the expensive electrcity if we don't get subsidized.
well, currently mining is not very profitable anymore because the results obtained are very small and the cost of electricity to repair mining devices is very high, so mining results have been trimmed with electricity payments and the results are not very profitable anymore, many small-scale miners choose to sell all his mining tools and return to being a regular trader.

My biggest regret in the cryptocurrency industry was actually hodling bcnex tokens when the value was about 0.25$ with a high expectation for the project. My regrets in the space is far back in 2017, where I was busy investing in scam ICO's and ponzi schemes which rendered my savings empty. I may have made much profits from the bull run of 2017, but I had only a couple of cryptocurrency with value and since I was still very new to the industry. I barely made any profit from the bull run.

Regret occurs when we make mistakes or are too hasty in making decisions. Mistakes in making decisions can happen to anyone, but learning from mistakes is the beginning of the process to success.
Investing in cryptocurrency is not as easy as we imagine, there are many things that must be considered to avoid the risk of loss. Make mistakes as the most valuable lessons, so you don't regret it in the future.

Not selling everything I had in 2018. I would've have much more crypto and fiat value now. That has to be my biggest regret but also the next one of the list was wasting so much time in useless bounties that at the end didn't pay nothing.
That's also my regret: I had the chance to make some good and decent profits from my holdings but kept those shitting tokens to see them.rising but went down to zero at this moment I type this. Some of my worth was around $3000 back in quarter 3q 2019 and all of them went into drainage, till now am still in search of my $3000. Hope this help others as experience for future purpose. I won't keep any ga dem shitting tokens anymore for any reason.

Many people regret that they did not buy BTC while they first knew about it. For some, they did not sell BTC while they could. ::)
Regret because they did not buy in while first knew, I think that not regrets category, some people especially newcomers in crypto need a hard push to decide to buy it.

Regret means when already know. So for me, my regret because not to selling all of my bounty coins in 2017. I keep hold it because I think it will always increase, yeah less knowledge.  I thought i could be rich if I had the chance to sell everything

many things that make me regret but mostly always related to bounties or airdrops, for example selling too early and it turns out that if I hold it for a little while maybe the estimate of token value can reach thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars, and also don't follow a good bounty like aave ever hold a bounty at this time if aave bounty participants who still hold their tokens maybe they can reap the results they never imagined, especially for signature campaign participant.

My journey has been faced with several sets back, it started  when I gained basic understanding on cryptocurrency and rely on the information which was made available by the team themselves and this spelt doom for me. I made huge losses in ICO's, trusting that the projects would make progress in the future, until I realised that not all tokens are worth holding long-term.

Maybe I won't call it a regret, but rather it is a risk that I have to accept in trading and participating in bounties, in trading, I am too eager to get big profits, so I hold coins for too long and hoped to experience an increase in price, but now In fact, many of these coins have no price, and just become trash in my wallet and the second thing that I regret is that I have been trapped several times in several bounty scams, so that, it has only wasted my time, but now regret / at least this risk has given me an experience to be even better in the future.

indeed holding coins or tokens resulting from a bounty campaign or airdrop can provide a lot of potential profit but not sometimes when you hold it for too long the price falls and is different from when it was first distributed and from that incident ultimately made many participants prefer to sell it right away rather than waiting too long and the results are very disappointing.

We all have our regrets when it comes to taking advantage of an opportunity or loosing out in this space. My greatest regret in this space was selling out too early in an airdrop whose value rose much more higher. I participated in an airdrop whose project name is Hydro, after selling out my tokens for less than 50$, the value of the tokens rose to above 4,000$, in less than a month. I felt really bad because I could have waited, just a little.

Good for you treating this as your learning experienced will definitely bring more knowledge from
picking the next move that you'll going to do.

There's nothing that you can bring back everything that happened from the past will serves as a
good basis from how will you build your future. I have similar mistakes regarding  with investing
into ICO's, holding  and believing that it will bring fortune only to realized that only devs will gain
and runaway.

Do we have to linger in regret?
sometimes what we plan to do is not in accordance with reality, what we sell actually soars and what we hold down actually drops.
I honestly don't want to remember the past because it hurts so much dude.

Sure you're right. If you've made a decision that turned out to be a bad one - you can track your mistake and learn from it.
If you're doing fomo decisions that is not going to be good for you in long term even if you get profit now

Regret is the risk of every mistake we have ever done, and that is the consequence we have to accept. Every mistake always teaches us to be more careful when making decisions in the future, mistakes are the most valuable experiences to achieve success in the future. Keep trying because success always begins with the mistakes we have done in the past.

So true, and very painful too. I was caught up in that too and as a noob you would think that price would surge continually without correction. I can also recollect how some veterans here screamed for people to sell off at the time because there was every possibility of a dump. Most of us didn't listen, and we paid the price for that. I guess we are now wiser.

Probably the most recent time Chainlink's price fell to $ 2.1 but I didn't buy it. At that time I just woke up and did not understand what was happening to the market, I was afraid and did not dare to take risks. Up to now, its price has been x7 times and the highest is x9 times. I was just a new trader so I was lacking, I did not dare to buy it with a volatile mentality. That was probably the great opportunity I missed.

I had the same experience with some altcoins on the market which rose to unprecedented levels in such a short amount of time. As far as I know, Chainlink is overhyped. It's expected to see a price correction on the market in the long term. The hype is largely attributed to the ever-rising popularity of "De-Fi" and stablecoins during the COVID-19 pandemic. I think that once the world's economy goes back to normal, prices for LINK and other top cryptocurrencies will decline. This could bring you another opportunity to profit by buying low and selling high in the next bull market. As well as you did, I regret not having invested earlier in LINK. I also regret not having invested earlier in BNB to double or triple my money a few years later. But now that I know how crypto works, I don't make the same mistake again.

With previous experiences, one gets to learn about bad decisions made on crypto land. For what I know, all of us have something to regret in the crypto/Blockchain space. It's important to learn from your mistakes in order to become an expert in this emerging industry. By guiding newcomers to the right path, many undesired situations can be avoided. Just my thoughts ;D

One of my biggest regret was cashing out most of my bitcoins when its price were around $4,000-$5,000 and after 1 month, its price skyrocketed to almost $20,000. Another crypto-regret was investing into an infamous 'ponzi scheme' called USI-TECH as it really looked genuine. I remembered I even attended their conferences in my country and people there were discussing about their investments. It persuaded me to drop $150 on their website (the amount was significantly large for me as a working student in a third-world country) as it promised a return of 150% by 6 months.

Unfortunately after 2 months of waiting, the website abruptly changed its user interface and withdrawing all of your funds was seemingly impossible. News resurfaced and exploded about the project which scammed thousands of users including me.

My biggest regret was playing with margin trading without having much knowledge.
I strike out a few times! Not that much loss because I was starting with crypto, but I lost some position in tokens/coins that capitalized big!

I did not know enough about margin trading nor even about the coins/tokens that I was playing with.
Even now that I have much more knowledge, I will not get in margin trading again!

I think that this is win big/lose big, but when you win you want more, and when you lose you strike out!
Even if you have your own rules and mentality to know when to stop losses it is very risky!

1. I sold the coin I got from bounty when the price increased 5x from the ICO price, but after I sold the price it could increase 10-15x from the ICO price or even more than that

2. When cryptocurrency prices fell very far in 2018-2019 (including ETH and BTC prices) I was late to buy BTC and ETH, because I bought them when the price started to increase, so the profit I got was not maximal

Probably the fact that I sold 6 bitcoins at around 150 dollars. I mean at the time that was actually quite good amount of money for me and I really didn't need to sell it but I got it so much cheaper so it looked like a great deal, at that time I literally spent that money to go to a vacation so at the time it looked like I spent like a hundred bucks on something that turned into a huge vacation, that was really something I was quite happy about. Of course not so happy about it anymore because that could have been around 70 thousand dollars by now if I kept it, I couldn't have known it would have increased so much, at the peak of it 6 bitcoins was worth 120 thousand dollars, that is insane to think about it now, I regret not holding for longer. However it helped me to realize maybe I should hold longer, so thats what I am doing right now.

My biggest regret is also just like yours but I joined a little bit late and also sold my coins at cheap price of $1.1k and if i would have kept them with me right now then their cumulative worth would have been more than $60k, so i chose to sell my coins a little too early in desperate times or maybe I was thinking that I had made enough profit from those bitcoins.

That's why it's best to sell bounty tokens in the least time possible, to avoid losing all of your hard-earned money in the long run. Most bounties were attributed to the ICO hype of 2017, leading towards astronomical levels in price. But most of them turned out to be a scam as they were created to profit developers themselves instead of delivering real use cases for the mainstream world. I've learned this the hard way after losing so much money participating in bounty campaigns. For instance, there was a bounty token called "Jinbi" which was supposed to be tied to the value of Gold. It was a scam in the long run, as I've never received my earnings from participating in the bounty campaign.

In order to avoid undesired situations from a bounty campaign, it's best to do your own research. I'm still regretting myself having participated in bounty campaigns which turned out to be a scam in the long run. At least, you get to learn from your mistakes. With our previous experiences we can help prevent newcomers from making the same mistake. Everybody has something to regret in crypto, as no one's perfect. As long as you don't make the same mistake over and over again, you'll be able to take control of your financial life in crypto. Just my opinion :)

I regret a lot from the first time I got to know crypto, especially after selling 3 Bitcoin in the $ 4k range, selling 5 Eth at the $ 250 price range due to economic needs and for no other reason despite selling at a loss. I believe they have great potential in the future, if at that time I was not pressed by economic factors maybe I could get a big profit to sell at the current price.

Well, no one knows exactly how crypto's prices will be in the future. All we can do is speculate. When we believe prices will go up, the contrary happens on the market. The same thing happens vice versa. I also regret myself selling Bitcoin during the 2018 bear market, as I could've made a lot of money at current prices. At least, I still have investments in prominent altcoins like ETH and BNB which turned out to be quite successful in the long run. It's best to invest a small portion of your income into various cryptocurrencies every once in a while, to enjoy of a massive boost in price within the next bull market. I've learned the hard way to always be patient with crypto regardless of what happens in the mainstream world. It's today where I make little to no mistakes in crypto, thanks to previous experiences. Newcomers often have things to regret in crypto, because they lack experience in the industry. But with some help, they'll be able to avoid mistakes as much as possible.

Nonetheless, everyone has something to regret for. Crypto is known to behave in strange and bizarre ways, leading to either huge losses or massive profits within the short term. Put aside scams and hacks, and you'll know what you're dealing with. Since the responsibility of securing funds rely solely on yourself, there's added risks (unlike storing money in a bank). It's up to crypto veterans to guide newcomers into the right path, for the prosperous growth of the crypto/Blockchain industry. Just my thoughts ;D

My first biggest regret was I didn't hold XRB coins. I got 2K XRB coins on the faucet for 2 months, I sold the coins when it's enough to sell (around $100). When the faucet was stopped, it only took a month for XRB coins to pump to $30. If I hold XRB coins I should get $60.000, at that time I always think why I don't try to wait a little bit to hold XRB coins  :'(

There are a lot of them for me in crypto, I sold my eth when it was 280$, I sold bzrx when it was 30c, and many others , but I'm not thinking about them any more coz it won't change anything , i have moved forward and learned there are always some good opportunities happening, and I can't catch all the benefit in the market!

I had a lot of ups and downs in crypto. I started way back early 2012 where BTC is just about less than $1000 and faucets were really generous. I regret not saving as much BTC and alts during that time. I cannot do much since I was about to have my first job and had to save money.

When I started becoming active in crypto, I had a lot of bad experiences where I bought crypto due to FOMO, I HODL coins for too long and missed a lot of opportunities, and not to mention panic selling.

Talking about regrets, of course, we have regrets very much in the past. it's like being late buying or selling. I have both regrets. besides that, there were quality bounties in the past that had great potential, but I didn't support them, even though I had the opportunity to do so, and many more.

There are so many regrets in crypto especially in 2017 when crypto was above the cloud, I didn't sell a lot at that time and believed too much in fomo. Even now the tokens I hold have no value and some are dead :'(

There are actually a lot of regrets in crypto, but my biggest regret is when I got to know Bitcoin and found out the price is still there
around $ 300, I hesitate to buy it. Because at that time I didn't expect the price of Bitcoin to go up so high, it even reached $ 19,000
in 2017. If I now remember that I feel sad, that's why now I started collecting as much Bitcoin as I could. So that my regret does not
repeat itself, because now I believe Bitcoin will back to $ 19,000 again.

I sold a good amount of bitcoin way back I think in 2015 and the price was really cheap. If I should have known and sell that amount today, I will be a millionaire.  ;D But anyway, at that time, I badly needed cash so what could I have done? Borrow from someone and then wait for another 2 or 5 years to pay them? I don't think the lender will agree that. LOL

My biggest crypto regret ever is that I didn't buy Bitcoin when it's still affordable. And also selling those tokens and coins with a good foundation and use cases at very cheap price while strongly hodling shit tokens. I could have been a millionaire by now if I just made the right choice.

What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?

At first, my biggest regret was not pursuing myself to bitcoin but now it changed. My biggest regret is that, I did not convert my bitcoin in December 2017 wherein that was the highest bitcoin price until now. I did not convert my bitcoin into fiat that time because I am waiting the time when it hits $20K. But it did not happened and up to now, btc price does not fully recover yet. That was three years ago and of course I had used some of my bitcoin during the time I need money the most. But I manage to not to used it all. Up to now, I am saving it and waiting for btc price to rise again.

Probably in 2017, I lost more than $3k because I was do dumb at that time and didn't cashout my bitcoin. I thought on that day the price would had stable for long time but it was just a matter of time that the price suddenly went down from top to the bottom and I didn't have a chance to sell it. Until this date, I'm still remember that accident and randomly makes my head hurts like right now :)

my biggest crypto regret were  not investing in eth and binance coin_token then_ when i had the opportunity, when i got into crypto in 2015, eth was trading between 1.99 usd to 2.55 usd , i didnt invest because i was yet to understand the real fundamentals of crypto, before i knew it , eth climbed to 5 usd , i thought it was too late to invest , it climbed to 8 to 10 to 15 to 30 to 80 to 132 to 205 to 303 to 500 to 800 to 1105 to 1302 usd in 2017/2018 bull run, all this happened and i couldnt do anything but watch cus i thought if i buy now , it might start going down , and that was how i sat and watched it go up and up and i missed.

The same thing happened to me with binance token back then, i registered for their ico but didnt participate cus i thought it wouldnt do well, when the token started trading at a price of between 0.067 to 0.3 usd, i wanted to buy 5000 bnb tokens and keep but i later changed my mind, before i knew it , one bnb token was selling for above 3 usd , i couldnt buy it anymore cus i thought it was already too late to buy, today bnb is well above 20 usd .

i sincerely regret all this opportunities ive missed.

What i still regret till today is i throw a lot of my ethereum at the casino and lost all of them. Gamble is my bad habit and i learn my lesson now not to do a gamble on the internet anymore as i will just losing my money. Never win big at the internet gamble and  just wasting our hard money for nothing. Better to save the coin and wait for it to bull.

My regret although i did not regret much is buying Ripple at 0.032 since June, the price has never pass 0.3 since then and i don't think it will ever get to that price this year. Buying ethereum recently at 480 hoping to sell at 500 and watched it fall to 320 with little or Nothing to do.  i can't stand it.

Faucets were indeed very generous back then. It's probably because crypto wasn't mainstream as it is right now. Since the crypto/Blockchain space is saturated, profit opportunities are "one in a million". I had a lot of faucet earnings I've collected since my early days in crypto back in 2014, but also had to sell them for cash. I needed the money so there was nothing else I could do. If I had saved the Bitcoin I've earned through faucets, I would've made some decent profit today.

Anyhow, we get to learn from our mistakes as time goes by. Crypto brings a lot of risks, due to its extremely volatile and unpredictable nature. But it's also highly rewarding. Any decision you make (either good or bad) will completely mark your life forever. Believe me, there's more to crypto than meets the eye. If you persevere in this emerging industry, you'll be able to reap the benefits in the not-so-distant future. ;)

actually you have time to sell it because you also see if the price goes down but you insist on holding, because greed is controlling you at that time, even if you sell with profit $1k - $2k profit won't be a problem right?

Many people regret that they did not buy BTC while they first knew about it. For some, they did not sell BTC while they could. ::)

For me, I got MWC & HEX for free from airdrop to BTC HODLers, but dumped them before they peak. I could easily make 10x of my existing BTC, if I held them strong. :'(

Like most of people here my regret is to not buy the top coins when they were really cheap around march-april of this year especially due to covid 19 when we saw a big crash in the market i still remember how big the coins dumped and later they recovered quickly in few weeks so not buying at that time is kind of regret because it was great opportunity to buy.

Everyone had their own mistakes. In order not to regret anything, you do not need to crave easy money, but carefully prepare, learn the basics of trading. Those who rushed into all the projects in a row were left with nothing. In the cryptocurrency market, either real lucky people or experienced financiers remained in the black. The rest just participate out of excitement or curiosity.

My regret is that I didn't buy more Bitcoin and Ethereum when the price dropped so much (2018) and now the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum has risen very high, but I only got a small profit, because I don't invest all my money in Bitcoin and Ethereum (only 50% of the money I have), but at least I am still happy because the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum has risen very high and gives me profit.

I will go with the first regret you talked about, which is not purchasing bitcoin at first sight or not discovering it earlier before the half of the world knew about it,now it's quite expensive but judging by the way things are going its seems like there is still room to grow in terms of price, cause I doubt if anyone who ever invested in bitcoin ever lost their money, they all got good amount of profits in return, some got back 100%+ of what they  even invested.

I gotta say it has to be those ppl who owned hundreds or thousands or tens of thousands of btc when it was like 50 cents a coin or less?  Then either used it for something or sold it for a small gain or loss?

I mean i heard ppl back then would use btc for poker like it was nothing... such as buy l00 or l000 btcs like it was nothing since they weren't even a dollar a coin?

Most people’s biggest regret today is that they have been selling Bitcoin when prices are still  below ATH now.
Not a few people have sold their bitcoin at $11K and I’ve also stuck with that price, I think $11K is an already
high price. However, it is a cheap price compared to the current price of bitcoin. I’m very regretful.

If you think that selling the coins at $11k was the biggest regret, you will find many earlier traders who sold majority of their holdings when the price touched $1k  :D. You can imagine the frustration but looking back there is no point in regrets as i needed that money at that point and hence booked my profit. The people that regrets are the ones that sold off the coins at a loss during the bear trap.

There are quite a number of bitcoin sellers who did sell because they needed some Fiat to solve an urgent problem  probably to pay bills when there is no alternative source, I was once in that situation too, I had no option than to sell my Bitcoin even at a price that was around $6K in the period of Covid-19 first wave, I have no regrets for selling because it becomes necessary to cushion the effect of the pandemic on my family due to non payment of salary.

Till date 100 Bitcoin does not make one Billionaire. Even at latest ATH, 100 BTC equals ~2.8 million USD. So, you still have chance to outperform your friend. :)
