Title: Things I have learned from this forum.
Post by: Alucard1 on June 04, 2020, 05:43:41 AM
I m so thankful that I had reached now the Junior member, thanks for all the people who help me from reaching this rank, yesterday, I was only a newbie rank in this forum then upon opening my account, it feels so good seeing that I am now Jr. Member, I've started joining this forum on May 11, and now it's already June 4, so thankful that I get this rank for almost a month, so I just wanna share my journey to all of you guys.

I joined this forum because it is a recommended forum of my friend, saying that I should try it to become more familiar with the crypto world, at first I really don't know what to do, so I started to read some threads, I found the board of beginners and help, this is so helpful for me because I have seen so many information regarding the forum information, rules, rank system, etc.

There is a disappointment when I created a thread and got deleted, I was wondering the reason of deleting my posts, but upon thinking, I realized that this forum is not like other forums, this forum only accepts quality and good posts. It is really different from the forum that I have tried before which is the cryptotalk.

Because of this forum, I tried investing and trading bitcoins, I failed on trading because of being lack of knowledge, at first, I really think that it is really easy to earn money from trading because of what I have watched on YouTube, but upon trying it, you'll realize how hard to earn from that, greediness will make you lose. Whenever I am winning, the urge of earning more money always hits me so I always don't quite so I also ended up losing the money. Investing is really worth it for me, it helps me to save and earn money, I find it more safe than trading.

This forum teaches me

1. Put efforts - I am really happy whenever I received merits, but getting it is not easy, so I should put efforts whenever I created a thread, so it would become more useful for other people.

2. Be creative - be unique, explain well the things you want to say.

3. Be patient - do not be greedy all the time, readiness will lead you on the wrong path, always wait for the right time. (When to trade or to invest)

4. Be responsible - whenever you joined on a forum, do something to contribute, that is your responsibility as a member of the forum.

5. Learn from your mistakes - whenever you received bad comments on your thread, don't be sad, maybe that is there a way to help you. Put those negative comments on your mind and think about how are you going to fix it.

6. Respect each other - I always see some replies on some threads and they are suggesting what to do in a good way, there are also some people who are answering other's questions with respect.

Thank you for sharing your experience, it may help other,  young members.
I also made some mistakes in the past with trading, altcoins,  btc etc  but you learn from your own mistakes  and move on with your life.
This forum is great place to learn about crypto,  to connect with the people with similar interest etc.
I agree with you,  we should always show respect to others.
If I can suggest,  you can report your good posts in merit giveaway topics in this forum.

But I have learnt one thing that is quality. In any where in your life just maintain your quality to others by doing positive works.

And the other thing I learnt that be honest and don't spam and cheat otherwise one day you will fall from the top.

Many high ranked users got banned evasion because of cheating. And it can't be withdrawn if anyone banned because of cheating. So never break rules and maintain your quality.

I checked you profile and posts, you got a good start, I will advice you to keep it this way, you will easily rank up. Some members just come for the campaigns but without hardwork they can not get merits to be an established member for any campaign but you understand and this makes you a better person with the qualities you stated above. Be patient but not too patient and continue your creativity. You will still learn a lot from others here, especially the ranked members, and with your understanding you will know more about this forum. Although you are not new again like that to this forum but I ill still stay you are welcome.

Thanks for sharing your journey, this forum is really great at learning many things, aside of being updated on what is happening about the crypto world, we are also learning some valuable things because of the merit system as well, we all want merits so we will do our best to get some, we are going to put efforts whoever we are going to create a thread so other people would appreciate it. Good thing is that you have already tried investing and trading, both things are risky but better to choose to invest because that is not complicated compared to trading, both things need knowledge before trying so would not end up losing.

I had checked some of your posts and your doing a great job, just continue the good working you will rank up easily. I think you can achieve a full member within this year, just keep creating quality posts.

That is why I really like this forum, it helps me understand about cryptocurrency. I already tried some merit giveaways and it is really helpful, thanks for the suggestion :D.

. It is really different from the forum that I have tried before which is the cryptotalk.

Bitcointalk forum is the best by far, but don't give a particular name you can generalize all other forums without mentioning names.
Continue the good work, and keep doing the learning process, connect more to other boards you can't tell the help it could serve to you, make more post that isn't off topic -i can see some of your post on off topic board-

Okay, I understand :), thanks for the advise, I will keep creating more content on different boards.

Congrats about that, always remember that small achievement is still an achievement. Since it's already a good start for you, continue doing it while making an improvement. Seriously, I don't have much advice to say because you already learned some lessons by just being here in bitcointalk for almost a month. And if you are still looking for tips or a lesson, there is a lot of thread here. It will be a big help, especially for beginners.

You have already said it, be patient so you don't need to rush things, even earning merits. It will come, you just need to make sure that you are learning, it's what really matters. Aside from efforts, you also need dedication if you really want to learn more about crypto, like investing and trading. And I think you are adapting very well maybe because you already have experience in another forum, so just continue doing your best to contribute here.

You have to learn one more important thing about forum. You shouldn't create duplicate topics which have been created just a day ago. You have to read other posts as well or you should use search button if there is any similar post. This post is just reflecting on first page still now, here is it; My 1000th post on this forum! Things I have learnt :)    (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5253113.0). Isn't same post, just notice the bold part. You may express your experience there, it wasn't really necessary to create another new topic instead of participate on old topic. It's more surprising that you have used almost same topic title. I am not trolling you but just pointing your mistakes. I am assuming you read the mentioned topics and then thought to create your one. I am not telling your intention to gain merit but I am not gonna feeding on this.

Anyway hope you will even learn from your this mistake and you will be more careful & responsible before create a new topic. This kind of post creation is one kind of advantage for spammer like me, because we are busy for weekly post count ;).

Great post OP, this forum is invaluable for somebody who is new to the scene in bitcoin. I’m not going to name people or do a long, detailed post but there are people here who are very willing to help. I’ve learnt so much here that you can’t just pick up by googling & reading articles.

Things that I have learned - be yourself, don't try to cheat and don't lie to others. No matter how smart you are, you are alone and your act of cheating will be disclosed by community. Don't turn forum as just a source of income, but as a source of motivation.

If only I have merit available, I could have merited your post.

Thank you for sharing your experience, newbie in the forum should learn here, and it's nice that you appreciate the forum and that will also touch us members. Yes, this forum is different from other forum, that is why it's one of the most popular if not the most popular crypto forum in the space.
You will certainly learn a lot here, as you go with your journey, it will also help you improve your knowledge and as you rank up (hopefully), you'll be the one who will guide the newbies, if that's the system we always follow, this forum will last longer.

So good luck with your journey, hopefully I'll still see you until you become a Legendary Member.

It's been a while kabayaan. Hi! I'm glad that I see you growing and enjoying here in our forum :). Actually getting 20 merits within a month (almost) is quite impressive already. Great job! Just continue grindi.g and it will pay off in the end. Like what have you said, always be responsible — be a learner anda good member at the same time.
There is a disappointment when I created a thread and got deleted, I was wondering the reason of deleting my posts, but upon thinking, I realized that this forum is not like other forums, this forum only accepts quality and good posts.
Well, it really happen sometimes. But it doesn't necessarily mean that your rejected thread is a sh*tpost so don't be sad. Maybe the mods find it as a duplicate of an existing one :D. Move on and keep trying.

One of the things I learned on the forum is don't catch too much to the merit because most of the newbies today are finding some way just to earn merit some of them are begging for merits and some of them are doing some copy-paste or plagiarism just to get good content on their thread all of this is because of the merit. It is better to aim for good content and a creative thread because it's easier to gain attention and help other people.

While you are here it is better to enjoy a lot of knowledge and skills you can acquire with the help of the people here.

Congrats! What I really felt from your writing is the happiness you felt reaching Jr. Member. I just remember the feeling of reaching it too. What I really agree about your post is being responsible and put efforts. Being responsible also connects with reading in the threads here before even posting anything, it is because of the responsibily to contribute, we can only contribute if you already know something. The efforts you put becomes the stepping stone why you are feeling that right now. It is much better to reach a rank if your hardwork was pure. It felt good to soar using the right path. Just continue learning and don't even think about of ranking up. Just enjoy reading and learning, I'm sure you will feel that feeling again.

Yep, you have mentioned some good things learned from this forum but don't forget to be consistent to do them. I have seen many people who do efforts greatly and reached certain levels but they suddenly disappeared. I hope you are not one of them, buddy. Continue to do your best to the forum constantly and you finally can be appreciated by others if you do useful and valuable things. By the way, congratulations that you have reached JR. Member rank and soon to be a Member rank.

Those are wonderful experiences because all of the people may experience and also I encourage other people to read those insights of the people who are already gained experience in our forum so you can exchange and gain ideas too.
One of the experiences here in the forum is to become created as the OP said because if you make an answer on them the same and the same thought it does not give a good outcome because you are the same with them it is better to become more aware of the things they are doing too, become created because it may help you to become different to others so many people notice you that you are different and you can be more created and create a lot of things that someone still didn't make so by this you can say that you are indifferent aspect and more chance that you can gain more popularity and reputation came from other people.

6. Respect each other - I always see some replies on some threads and they are suggesting what to do in a good way, there are also some people who are answering other's questions with respect.
This is what I've maintaining now, respect to each other will reflect your self of what you are. Yes, due to privacy thing we can possibly do an anonymous thing and hide our self through our account here and the way you contribute to this community will reflect who you really are. Never be arrogant especially to the newbies, respect to them in the right manner even though you are in a high rank.

I've learned a lot here in this forum and molded my self to educate blockchain technology and other tech stuff. I/We must be thankful for that not only for earning and also sharpen your knowledge in different aspects.

I assume we all have the same learnings and experience from this forum that we all learn from the opinions and tips by people that are here in this forum because they helps us to make decisions on where we should invest our profit and to know if new projects are legitimate or a scam. That is why I am really thankful knowing about this forum because it really helps me, especially in trading.

I can relate to this one. I have a thread posted on our local board but days later, I found out that it was deleted. And I'm kinda used to that feeling though. Not that I always get my posts or thread deleted but because I already made myself realize and understand the possible reason behind. It could either be a duplicate (as what NavI_027 said) or the mods think that it is somehow irrelevant to the real topic that needs to be discussed in such board.

Anyway, those are great lessons learned! This kind of post always reminds me on what I should bear in mind. This forum really allows us to learn not only about crypto, blockchain, and the like but also things that can be applied in real life as well.

Good luck on your journey! And let's always strive to learn. :)

True, but the results will vary depending on how much you want and your consistency to do it. The bitcointalk.org forum can be considered like a library related to cryptocurency because it stores a fair amount of knowledge about it. People who come here to read and learn something then that person has treated the forum properly. But if people come here just to make money, then rest assured that they are not people who want to contribute to forums and users. I think so far you understand what I mean.

I remember something my teacher said, never go after money if you dont have enough knowledge because you will have difficulty getting it. But pursue enough knowledge so that money will follow you.

I remember something my teacher said, never go after money if you dont have enough knowledge because you will have difficulty getting it. But pursue enough knowledge so that money will follow you.

This is a true guideline and can be applied by anyone. It's not just a matter of our money joining this forum, because some important knowledge cannot be paid for with money.

But the reality is that until now, many Newbie or people who just joined this forum because they want to get lots of bitcoin and get lots of money from the sale of bitcoin, but not balanced with enough knowledge about bitcoin and what exactly the purpose of this forum was made.

Getting money from campaigns in this forum is an appropriate bonus, for those of us who want to contribute and provide benefits in this forum.

True, there's a saying that be competent enough so that success will follow you.

The reason why many newbies try to scam or get scammed themselves is this only. They just see "OMG! The value of BTC is $xxxx. Freakin' crazy I need this man!" When they are asked any technical aspects of BTC and its underlying technology Blockchain, then they just say "Yada yada, I dunno broda".

Nice to hear that, we don't know each other here yet we are like a family. Just as we are benefiting from the forum, we also have something to do for the forum. The biggest thing here is to respect each other, and keep the forum free from spoiling & scam. If someone wants to know something, we should help him, if someone makes a mistake, we should teach him. There are also many users who are active in the forum 24 hours a day and keep the forum clean in various ways, they do not want any wage or rewards, they just love the forum and do such things.

based on the price of BTC that looks tempting makes Newbie has a goal that is only based on how much nominal BTC gets. They also cannot filter out the projects they are working on, so many scam projects are wasting their time.
Basic knowledge and some technical aspects of BTC, blockchain and cryptocurrency they do not know, because there is no education that they read.

But not all Newbie like that, I looked and found several Newbie trying to become a qualified and productive member in this forum.
