Post by: Skieleton on June 04, 2020, 05:20:14 PM
Have you used coinbase? Can you make money here or is it a waste of time? Is the site secure?

What do you mean? You mean trading on Coinbase Pro or you mean Coinbase Earn program? About the Coinbase Earn program, it is pretty difficult to get approved and earn some free cryptocurrencies for learning about them. But yes, if you get approved, you can earn up to 100USD in diffrent altcoins.

It's worth joining in my opinion, especially Coinbase Pro for better trading and better rates overall. It's decent, but it doesn't always hold up when things get volatile, there can be downtime which is annoying and can mean a loss of money, so I wouldn't hold my entire portfolio there.

Coinbase is a legit exchange and they have their own trading platform as said, the Pro. The website is secure so you don't have to worry regards to security threats but you don't keep your funds there.
You can use them as it is but don't use them as a cold storage because exchanges are not ideal for that use.

The comments about it is that whenever bitcoin rise up, its website shutdown for a while and goes back up again when everybody except you had already dumped. Thats what they saying with coinbase today. I'm not really a coinbase user, I'm not from US but this is just what I have read about coinbase.

If there is someone that makes profit whenever there is a downtime, its coinbase.

No I haven't used coinbase to trade although I have an account on there. As regards making profits, that's a different thing entirely, I have but it boils down to your ability to do personal Due Diligence on any project you want to invest in but long term, it's likely most top alts will make you profits.

yes of course I make money here, it's just that for now the income I earn here isn't much, so I don't think there's a word to waste time as long as we don't promote bad projects. related to coinbase, I personally have never used it. maybe another time.

Though I can't understand your statement clearly but will reply: Coinbase is a digital exchange where you can trade cryptocurrency for fiats or fiats to cryptocurrency, for those who know how to trade their coins will make their profits from the said cryptocurrency exchange but some will still loose their funds too. If you can trade, then you're good to go for profit on coinbase. On this forum you can't make profit  ;D but the advantage of this forum to coinbase can't be overemphasize. Coinbase is well secure and good for traders.

Coinbase isn't just a place to trade but they also have a feature to teach newbies. And while learning, you'll get some incentive tokens/coins that has an according value base to the set rewards in dollar.

Starting from the basics, yes the coinbase site is secured and safe, but the fact remains that it is a centralized wallet, and a centralized exchange platform and you cannot safe your funds on there. A paper wallet remains the best.

Yes, i have used coinbase before, to buy bitcoin, but making money from coinbase trading is what i have not done as i prefer to trade elsewhere, where i can read the charts properly.

Yes.

Can you make money here or is it a waste of time? Is the site secure?

Many traders have been using that exchanges, it's one of the most popular trading sites we currently have. But as far as security, we can't say how secure a site is, because there will be hackers that are going to attempt to attack any system that we have right now. You can read this article, Coinbase Sets Out How It Foiled a ‘Sophisticated’ Hacking Attack (https://www.coindesk.com/coinbase-says-it-foiled-a-sophisticated-hacking-attack).

Coinbase is a wallet. They also provide exchange service.

I cant vouch for that because there is not end to taking precautions when it comes to money but if you want to keep full control of your coins you should use your desktop wallets where you are in charge of your private keys and not a third party.

Who said you can make money there? The wallet is for storing coins and exchange is for trading the coins. Now if you are asking about making money from trading that is another topic. Also I have seen coinbase giving out some airdrops previously but dont go for those in long term, because they are shitcoin, dont hold them. Sell them as soon as you get any. But it has reduced now.

Just a word of caution: if you have been told by someone that they will make money for you and asking you to send money for any reason, its a scam.

I have used Coinbase and its one of the most popular and trusted exchange. one of the ways of making profit in coinbase is to trading and they make airdrops also for their community when a new coin will be listed in their platform (I consider their airdrop as a profit also)

Funny to see a Senior member ask about Coinbase, one of the oldest names in crypto exchange. Are they still giving out $10 like they used to I wonder for new accounts? Is that why you think you can "make a profit"? I would not know,,, not American and already stuck on places like Binance and Bittrex!

I hope you have tried it, because it is not work at all. I've been waiting for at least seven months to wait for they notify me via email to earn their token through learning crypt event.

But I haven't got it, seem like it was just an old promotion from their team in order to many people come and use coinbase as their trading place or an investment place.

It doesn't work for some people, I'm not sure if they have a geographical location restriction so that's why for some it doesn't work. And if it's still appearing on their platform, it's still working. If the one that you have completed is no longer on the list, it's not available anymore.

If during that time when you have completed it and it's available, you should be credited for that. Have you contacted them again informing that they owe you after completing a course?

if they have restriction why they dont inform us before they released a kind of programe like that ? or they only want people to work for free  .  or maybe they require a verified coinbase account that already passed kyc before you got qualified for payment  . thats what others are saying , i just heard it somewhere before  . to @op not sure if what he wants to know .  coinbase exchange or coinbase or coinbase airdrop   . obviously he arent interested on the wallet feature of coinbase because that isnt an earning oppurunity  .

They don't want free service, it's not actually a job but it's a task which means someone can do it for a short period of time and get an incentive from this program. I've re-read their term on this earn feature and it says that it's for everyone, so they should modify that.

So yeah, they should be specific with the geographical location. Because it's disappointing for those people that wants to try it but they are being stopped from doing so.

coinbase is a centralized  exchange its safe base on the user's feedback. But the question is until when ? its vulnerable  to hacking so  I can't say its really safe for my own opinion.

Can you make money in coinbase?

Yes if you are traders you can earn money by buying and selling crypto currency in that exchange.

You can also earn by referring a friend and the task given above .

If you do talk into their platform https://pro.coinbase.com/ . Then for sure there were lots who do make profit and basing up the volume then theres no doubt with that..

Aside on being an exchange, there still lots of fellas who do make use of as an exchange wallet which isnt really a suggested thing to be done.

Nothing to do with Coinbase itself as much as I dislike them, although the fact that they do advertise themselves as a place to keep and store bitcoin (plus they used to do the $10 free bitcoin bounty) meant a whole lot of Americans used Coinbase as their actual wallet. Don't know if this remained the case today though.

wow, I think this is very tempting, just because you hear your words, but is it that difficult to get approval from Coinbase Earn, but this indicates that it is possible because that tempting like that will certainly not be easy, maybe I will try and rely on the luck that I have

I can't believe someone is asking in 2020 if coinbase is legit :D
Yeah it's legit, it's one of the longest-running exchanges.

And yes, you can make "some" money from airdrops and staking/earn program, but don't expect HYIP numbers.
4-8% yearly

You can make profits if you have trading skills, the platform may not be a cause for your success.

Forum rank isnt a solid indication that a certain user would know everything that do plays here on cryptospace or market. You cant tell if the person havent involved trading nor used exchange
ever since.

Its better to ask into something rather then rushing into things which you arent even sure on what would you gonna do.Its a preferable trait which isnt really bad at all.
Just dont make judgement because each people here on crypto doesnt know everything.

On topic on asking if someone made a profit, then definitely there are people who do make money specially to those who trade up into their platform.

Yes, I have experienced earning profit in coinbase but it is not that big. I tried installing an application game called CryptoWord and CryptoPop. It is a very easy game even though kids could play it. By playing the games per level you could earn satoshi in CryptoWord and you could earn gwei in CryptoPop. You can cash out your satoshi and gwei to your coinbase and it really works.

When you use this platform, you must make sure that you have all the required ID and that your country is fully supported, and then you must ensure that the tax report is filled out correctly and then you can start collecting the money.

You can subscribe to their airdrop but you will not collect much money.
The best solution is to buy currencies and then use Binance for speculation and use coinbase to withdraw profits for your bank account.

It's like a new hammer, great for doing work, but it needs a skilled worker who knows how to use it.

Coinbase is pretty secure. Profit? You mean extra $ while using the app so? It does, it has airdrop for verified user unless you're listed as a "whitelist" for each task which is available for all user.
