nothing comes close to the final poker scene in rounders for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLgEs6hjbGg

mike discovers KGB's tell (the oreos), rubs it in his face to put him on tilt, then lets KGB's tilted aggression destroy him when he flops the nuts. there is no greater satisfaction in poker. :)

It's not easy to find movies about poker, there are several movies that have poker scenes that make me memorable after watching it.
Like Maverick (1994), Casino Royale (2006), Rounders (1998), Lucky You (2007) and 21 (2008). That's the title of the movie of my choice,
maybe there are some more good ones. But I forgot the title, I'll post it again later if I remember it.

James Bond - Casino Royale (2006) one of the favourite scene poker at that's the time for me, the reason since this is an action movie and have a poker scene maybe the reason why i like this movie. Also the coolest thing, about how they flips the chip on his hand when conversation each other on the games. Until now, still cannot figure it out to flips the chips like in the movie XD.

I've seen the casino royal poker scene and when i'm watching it before I already expect that james bond will win the poker game. I played poker too and practiced on facebook game called hold em texas poker which is a good platform to practice your skills against real time poker players without spending real money just to play.

That is one my favourite scenes too. Daniel Craig at his best , here is the link - https://youtu.be/JpvW1T7hXjo

Just do a search with keyword best poker moment on youtube and you will see a list of a compilation video that you can enjoy. Here is one of them https://youtu.be/oBoLdXLx9So

No that about it since he was really the main character of the movie and it's not that unexpected he'll win. I think I've seen you somewhere in Acewins, I guess, about free tourney there. That's a great app since you'll play real-time with people worldwide, it is really a great app to hone your poker skills as well as Zynga app if I remember it correctly but there are still offline that wouldn't cost you data that's great too, you may check those out.

For me, the texas hold'em tournament in Casino Royale is the best movie poker scene in cinematic history. Probably because of Daniel Craig’s acting performance. Definitely the best Bond so far in my opinion.

  • The Sting (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sting) (with Paul Newman) - card game on the 20th Century Limited between New York and Chicago.
  • 21 Jump Street (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21_Jump_Street) (TV Series) - early episode - one card is stuck on the player's forehead.
  • Twilight Zone 1959 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twilight_Zone_(1959_TV_series)) TV episode with Paul Newman and a woman with missing fingers.
  • Twilight Zone 1985 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twilight_Zone_(1985_TV_series)) TV version - Guy plays with the Devil and wins after changing to playing "low ball"
  • Can't think of another one off the top of my head but agree with @FatFork - Casino Royale (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casino_Royale_(2006_film)) Texas Hold 'Em being played through movie.
  • Any time Maxwell Smart (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get_Smart) has to shuffle cards.

I ever watch this kind of movie, but I really forget the title. And how can I tell you?
So sorry, but really it is difficult to remember the title of the movies. It is about gaining a big win with life risks.
Well, aside from what I watch, poker movie has been being there around past years, before the crypto world exists also.
It is always popular, moreover, it may show us the tricks and what happens behind the poker room and its activities, about the gamblers and its life. It represents many things.

I already search for the next movies to watch probably if you want to go for it. Here you can find it

i forgot the last movie i watched about Poker but i certainly like the idea of Movies that produced with gambling story lines.

People who's not in gambling don't know how hard to be a gambler.

For me, the texas hold'em tournament in Casino Royale is the best movie poker scene in cinematic history. Probably because of Daniel Craig’s acting performance. Definitely the best Bond so far in my opinion.

Damn this is the movie that i am talking about, stars Daniel Craig, and yeah one of the best movie of this great actor from James Bond .

that movies / tv series were awesome  .  watched some clipped of jumpstreet and twighlight zone before but i didnt knew that there are gambling part on them .

twighlight zone is a kind of horor genre right ? if im not mistaken yet . you must be old now eh? because the tv series is kinda bit old  . while jump street is a modern comedy kind of movie  .  i also watch some clip of casino royal and the movie was about casinos or gambling.

Perhaps you should do your research a little bit before editing out quotes.

21 Jump Street was a TV Series (Please follow the link) of which the recent movie is a follow-on sequel with at least one or two actors from the original series participating.

The Twilight Zone has again been re-booted as recently as 2019 (last year) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twilight_Zone_(2019_TV_series)

You also show your ignorance of the James Bond franchise. (Perhaps you should also look that one up too while you're at it)

(How did you get into a SigCamp?  You've only amassed a total of four merits in the last 120 days)...

Casino Royale is my favorite. Yes, you're right it's not easy to find movies that have gambling theme, at least in a sequence, but to my opinion Casino Royal is really tempting and does it really good although it's not the main theme of the movie.
Lucky You would be my second choice.

OK, Perhaps I'm showing my age with this one:

Star Trek: A Piece of the Action.

Game: Fizbin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_in_Star_Trek#Fizzbin).

Fizbin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_in_Star_Trek#Fizzbin) has also been mentioned in Star Trek Deep Space Nine.

This is really good idea to have some gambling together as not everyone is able to watch all the movies and only highlighting the best part here would really be a good idea. Also, it becomes little change of mind and help in relaxing a bit in this bad time we all are going through it. Loved the response from the billion's scenes that guy makes it.

Lucky You and The Gambler.
But I had never watched the others.
Putting it on my list now.  ;D

The thing about Lucky You is most gamblers believe in their lucky charm.
Then, there is the superstitious belief.

The Gambler is almost the truth behind all gamblers.
Loans, collateral, etc..
Thanks for the list.

Edit: I was thinking about the other movie that I know.
Researched it but it was not poker. It was blackjack.  ;D "21" is the title. A good story too.

The Grand and James Bond Casino Royale are the only poker movies that I have watched. The Grand is a great movie because it is a comedy movie that in order to get back all of his casinos he needs to defeat every poker champ. While Casino Royale is more like an action movie instead of a poker movie because James Bond it is a James Bond movie.

I watched a lot of movies about gambling, but I saw only two about poker.
I don’t remember the first one, and the second is one of my favorites, this is Casino Royale.
Shot quite narrowly, but very spectacularly, beautifully. I think in this film I managed to convey all the tension of high stakes combined with randomness.

-"And I'm also afraid that odds are against you."
-"That's why they call it gambling."

For me the first scene is great, there's something in this old movies. He paid to see that hearts and he got them, I can say that I paid that flush many times, but many times I didn't got one.
Second one is interesting, it's how you bluff someone, hard and high, if you don't scare him he will not runaway.
Interesting analysis in Billions, and how bluffing high and hard doesn't work all the time. You need to analyse entire hand from preflop to river to see trough someones hands.
Nice movie scenes, I saw some of them before, but it's interesting to see them again.

Guys, also my favorite is the Casino Royale from the James Bond saga. But I'm going to add other movies like:

Casino (1995)
Directed by Martin Scorsese and starring
by Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Sharon Stone. It tells about the control of the Casinos in Las Vegas by the Mafia.

21 Black Jack (2008)
Directed by Robert Luketic based on a true story of a group of MIT students who managed to make a profit in the main casinos in Las Vegas.

You mean "21" I think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21_(2008_film) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21_(2008_film))
I really liked this movie because it's inspired by a true story.

In the same vein I liked very much Rain Man (1988) with Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise.

Sorry but i don't focus in any gambling scenes in every movie that i watched because whats important to me is the meaning of the said movie and the value of each actors, unless the movie i am watching is all about gambling or the life of gambler that plays Poker or any specific gambling that the movie implied .

This is not pure "poker" part of the movie, but it's part is about gambling so I guess it will suit:

I know that we are talking about poker but most of the movies I love that contains gambling are playing Balckjack. Those scenes are in the movies of 21 which is almost of those scenes in Las Vegas and that small scene of Alan playing Blackjack from the Hangover where also the new meme template was born.

The films that I have watched so far that I remember would be Casino Royale, Maverick and the Cincinnati Kid. The scenes are really long and also very interesting like when you watch Casino Royale when bond and the henchmen plays the poker game and you can see their faces their reactions, their moves, and their every move. If you watch it the first time you will really be on the edge of your seat. I am not sure if it is poker in the movie Hangover.

well interesting review, I'll see it might give a few tips when playing.
I rarely see the best scenes, because I always watch full, I mean if I see YouTube I watch live broadcasts or re-broadcasts as a whole.
Maybe some people will add their movie, so this will be a good review for all.
