Title: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: JollyGood on June 07, 2020, 01:55:55 PM https://i.postimg.cc/85hQn0JN/10kposts-Copy.png https://media.giphy.com/media/d6w4FJhA7shJ6/giphy.gif Well, it was on 1st January (New Years Day) 2020 that I arrived at Hero Member rank and here is another milestone I wanted to share with my fellow members here: this here is my 10,000th post in the forum. Now granted I am not the most elegant of members when it comes to writing, I have never stated that most or all of my posts are of very high quality or content or etiquette but nonetheless I feel over a period of time I have contributed to this wonderful fantastic forum of ours in a positive manner more so than a negative one by any stretch of the imagination. I have been made to feel welcomed by so many members here and I have had a great time so far. I have been rotated between DT1 and DT2 since mid-late 2019 and it has been a fantastic journey so far, I hope it continues... Please use this thread to write about your own milestones within the forum. Whether it was getting to a higher rank or 100, 500 or 1000 posts or anything else. Let us use this space to share experiences and spread a positive vibe about this forum and the way it has helped spread all things crypto and allowed us express our views. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: Raytheon on June 07, 2020, 02:28:38 PM DaveF and nutidah, these guys don't have any sense of beauty. They merited you more than enough 1 merit to be captured and recorded in Save your nice merit records here - V2 (new, updated thread) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5251894.0). It'd would have been a really rare and nice record tho. Anyway, congrats on your milstone. It's so much time and dedication that you have spent on the forum so far.
Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: The Sceptical Chymist on June 07, 2020, 06:40:09 PM I was pretty stoked when I got put on DT2 the first time a couple of years ago, which was something I wasn't expecting--and if you consider that an "achievement" I guess it would be my most memorable.
OP, you're on DT now, right? I'd think that would be far more personally rewarding than making your 10,000th post, but to each his own. I can't recall when I made that many posts, but I do remember that I thought it was amazing that it was true. If you think about it, that's a hell of a lot of effort if you're not just a one-line shitposter. Oh yeah, when I finally hit Legendary I thought that was pretty cool. I ranked up right at the last possible activity period in the range, and it was right before the merit system was implemented--so I lucked out big time. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: Yatsan on June 07, 2020, 07:00:24 PM Woah, congrats for me that's a hell of work :o how many papers you could right with that? you could've probably wrote a 500 pager book with that posts haha.
I don't mind counting my posts though, but now I'm going to put a posts goal in my list just to make it memorable. Maybe the first is 5000 posts since now I'm just about 2000 even I'm older than you. ^ this guy up here has 12000+ posts, imagine that long typed sentences haha. Efforts appreciated man :D Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: bonesjonesreturns on June 08, 2020, 03:59:36 AM 10 000 shit posts and scammer facilitating by imposing double standards and abusing red tags.
Congrats on being net negative. More of a millstone really. Sorry to be the party pooper. Why is this garbage even in meta? Waste of board resources. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: cryptoaddictchie on June 08, 2020, 05:37:05 AM Congrats. Thats not easy to create 10,000th post with real discussion and made topics.
I wanted to share mine too and this is so far one of milestones achieved here in forum. From being a shitposter before now Officially Hero Rank (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218813.msg53643049#msg53643049) I am looking forward to other milestones here and not just ranking up like helping others and somehow those users will remember me for helping them out. I'm going to put a posts goal in my list just to make it memorable. Maybe the first is 5000 posts since now I'm just about 2000 even I'm older than you. Also in addition you can post that shiny paintbrush badge you did received from art contest as great achievement. Its worth mentioning considered that only 5 of you was awarded with unique customized badges for your skills on arts.Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: Steamtyme on June 08, 2020, 05:38:21 AM Good on you but I would suggest moving this to the reputation board or creating a reputation thread for yourself to document these milestones. I made the same mistake on an anniversary of mine once and realized just because it is a milestone of mine on forum - it's personal, not forum specific.
OP, you're on DT now, right? I'd think that would be far more personally rewarding I would agree with that. I was honored I guess would be the right way to look at it when someone on DT included me. Probably second to the first time I created a topic that got pinned, that made me feel pretty good. I haven't kept up with it much but checked the other day and was surprised with my current standing. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: McniColl on June 08, 2020, 06:39:45 AM Congrats for 10,000 post. not a easy work.
only 3year done 10,000 post. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: JollyGood on June 08, 2020, 10:14:28 AM Anyway, congrats on your milstone. It's so much time and dedication that you have spent on the forum so far. Thank you. I hope to contribute more constructively in future.I was pretty stoked when I got put on DT2 the first time a couple of years ago, which was something I wasn't expecting--and if you consider that an "achievement" I guess it would be my most memorable. I think I have been regularly on DT1 towards mid/late last year and on odd occasions been on DT2 just as I have been since the beginning of this week. It changes as and when on rotation when some members drop out of DT1 on to DT2 and some members go from DT2 in to DT1.OP, you're on DT now, right? I'd think that would be far more personally rewarding than making your 10,000th post, but to each his own. Congratulations for the time you ranked up to Legendary. Nice to read your points of view, thank you for sharing :) Woah, congrats for me that's a hell of work :o how many papers you could right with that? you could've probably wrote a 500 pager book with that posts haha. Yes some members here have made phenomenal amounts of posts, it is quite extraordinary to see those sorts of statistics. I hope you reach all the milestones you wish to achieve.I don't mind counting my posts though, but now I'm going to put a posts goal in my list just to make it memorable. Maybe the first is 5000 posts since now I'm just about 2000 even I'm older than you. ^ this guy up here has 12000+ posts, imagine that long typed sentences haha. Efforts appreciated man :D Regarding to 500 page book, to be fair I did mention earlier that not all the posts I made have been of high quality. I would go further, not all have been entertaining or informative but all-in-all on the whole I think I would be happy to consider myself as a member that has contributed positively to the forum. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: TalkStar on June 08, 2020, 11:14:48 AM I hope to contribute more constructively in future. Congratulations for reaching this milestone. Undoubtedly it was a long journey for you and completing 10000 posts isn't so easy at all. Its a sign of patience, contribution and efforts from your side. You should give thanks to your "keyboard" tooFor you 10000 post is a new achievement but for me it showing that you are getting old "Jolly" :). Wish to see you more active in the upcoming days. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: bakasabo on June 08, 2020, 12:36:12 PM 10,000 posts is a huge number. Bitcointalk.org probably is a huge part of your life. The best part of your 10,000 posts is that some of them (or maybe a big part) are made during investigation and fighting scam :) That is something worth meriting or a medal.
Also I would like to point out, that these 10,000 probably are valuable to the community, and thanks God these 10,000 posts are not bounty reports :D Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: Pffrt on June 08, 2020, 01:38:37 PM You have joined here ~1120 days ago which means almost ~9 posts per day. That's huge. Can you share how many days/hours you have spent on the forum so far according to the total logged in time?

Can you share how many days/hours you have spent on the forum so far according to the total logged in time? He probably has a 25th hour in a day. It is impossible to post 9 posts per day, seek for scam projects daily, investigate and do a regular job (as he JollyGood doesn't get income from his signature). His time logged probably is more than 200 days, as I think he keeps open his browser tab/tabs with forum for the all day. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: JollyGood on June 08, 2020, 04:42:55 PM Nice work, you have an excellent rank up thread you linked. Here is to wishing you more milestones in the manner in which you seek ;D
It is nice to receive some sort of recognition about users achieving various milestones, let us look out for more related to you, me and other users. Some of the rank up threads and other milestone threads make interesting reading. Congrats. Thats not easy to create 10,000th post with real discussion and made topics. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: taufik123 on June 09, 2020, 06:35:13 AM Congratulations Jollygood has reached 10,000 post now. This is an extraordinary achievement. not easy to achieve it. 10,000 posts is just a number that can be achieved by anyone, but not with the quality and some of the contributions you make to this forum.
I'm also trying to reach 5000 posts, hopefully it can be quickly achieved. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: JollyGood on June 09, 2020, 12:02:01 PM It is in the Reputation board, thank you for the suggestion.
About DT, yes when I received a PM from a trusted member congratulating me on becoming DT it was a big moment because I did not know until he told me and congratulated me. Also I was fortunate to be added to the trust list by some DT1 members early on and some also left positive feedback for me, I have to thank examplens and LFC_Bitcoin for encouraging me and also for trusting me when they noticed I started to write about scams. I look at my trust list today and see 13 or 14 DT1 members that added me to their trust list. When I look at the 5 DT1 users that added me to their distrust list just I have no problem ignoring Vispilio, Blacknavy and gospodin as all three are from the Turkish language board and not exactly been a force for good in this forum, I think they enjoyed adding me to their distrust list after I added them first and they they took what they saw as revenge by reciprocating ::) As for the other two users that added me to their distrust list, I hope at some stage they will reconsider that opinion or at least advise me what it is exactly that I should do in order change my conduct so they feel I can be trusted but I leave it for them if they want to contact me. I short yes, to learn I was a DT member was a nice feeling as it the knowledge that many DT1 members trust me but how it equates in comparison to a massive milestone such as 10,000 posts is highly subjective. I prefer not to choose between various milestone events in an attempt to ascertain which are better or more rewarding for me because I cannot choose between them ;D I never had a thread pinned like The Pharmacist did but I think it would be such a nice feeling to know you contributed something to the community that was valued so highly it was pinned. Congratulations to you The Pharmacist I hope one day I can have a thread pinned too. Good on you but I would suggest moving this to the reputation board or creating a reputation thread for yourself to document these milestones. I made the same mistake on an anniversary of mine once and realized just because it is a milestone of mine on forum - it's personal, not forum specific. OP, you're on DT now, right? Congratulations Jollygood for your milestone, you are quite active and it is clear what you are doing here, definitely not a waste of time. you have often positively surprised me with your perseverance, in your fighting against fraudsters, it is to be expected that you will acquire "opponent", so you don’t need to be worried about that. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: AakZaki on June 09, 2020, 05:19:00 PM Congratulations on achieving 10,000 extraordinary posts. in just 3 years you can reach 10,000 posts. You make many contributions to this forum and are always active in responding to various things and problems in this forum.
My first achievement was 1000 posts and then my second achievement was 2000 posts which will soon be reached. Title: Re: Another Milestone: My 10,000th Post Post by: JollyGood on June 09, 2020, 11:11:10 PM Thank you, after reading your post I gave a pat on the back to my keyboard ;D
I think I certainly have aged in the years I have been posting here, somewhere along the line I cannot believe it that I made 10,000+ posts but it has been a great experience getting to know many people and having a good time. It has been a wonderful learning process and long may it continue. I hope to congratulate you on your 10,000th post one day too :) I hope to contribute more constructively in future. Congratulations for reaching this milestone. Undoubtedly it was a long journey for you and completing 10000 posts isn't so easy at all. The best part of your 10,000 posts is that some of them (or maybe a big part) are made during investigation and fighting scam :) That is something worth meriting or a medal. Thank you, yes the forum from time to time plays an important part in my life. I am taking a step back from scams for a little and posting in other boards but will return and focus on scams soon. Also I would like to point out, that these 10,000 probably are valuable to the community, and thanks God these 10,000 posts are not bounty reports :D That's a great milestone what I am most commending you is, on your being active in the scam section and your contribution, you will definitely reach a legend status in just a short period of time, you can easily get merits with all your expose, hope you can keep up exposing these scam proejcts. Thank you for your feedback. It has been a real privilege posting in the forum about scams while trying to help protect newbies and gullible people from getting scammed. I know I need to get more active in the scam accusation threads but I have deliberately taken a step back while I re-focus my attention before I starting to post there again. Congratulations Jollygood has reached 10,000 post now. This is an extraordinary achievement. not easy to achieve it. 10,000 posts is just a number that can be achieved by anyone, but not with the quality and some of the contributions you make to this forum. Thank you, I hope you reach your milestones soon. The forum is an excellent place to express views and share ideas, I hope you and all other members keep up the good work by posting in a positive manner here.I'm also trying to reach 5000 posts, hopefully it can be quickly achieved. 10000 posts without wearing paid signature ;) Thank you examplens, you were one of the first senior members here that left me positive trust and gave me confidence to participate in trying to expose scams and scammers. I appreciate that :)Congratulations Jollygood for your milestone, you are quite active and it is clear what you are doing here, definitely not a waste of time. you have often positively surprised me with your perseverance, in your fighting against fraudsters, it is to be expected that you will acquire "opponent", so you don’t need to be worried about that. I think the only signature campaign I ever applied for was for the ChipMixer and that was in 2020 but I was not selected but as you pointed out I made my 10,000+ posts without a signature or avatar campaign (paid or otherwise). I am looking to rent the avatar if the right deal came along though ;D Congratulations on achieving 10,000 extraordinary posts. in just 3 years you can reach 10,000 posts. You make many contributions to this forum and are always active in responding to various things and problems in this forum. Thank you for the feedback. My first achievement was 1000 posts and then my second achievement was 2000 posts which will soon be reached. You will get there too and you will go on to other milestones I have no doubt. Wishing you success in your time spent throughout this forum. Congrats on 10000 posts. I haven't gotten there myself, but I don't find many topics that interesting really. Keep up the posting, especially busting scammers. Thank you, I appreciate the comments. You are not far behind because you are on 7600+ posts yourself and like you said if you do not find certain threads interesting then you would have no reason to post. Until several months ago the bulk of my posting was in the scam accusation threads but I needed to move away and diversify to maximise the experience of the forum. I occasionally do post about scams but intend to make it a priority within the next month or so and will start exposing as many as possible. |
