A separate platform? Do you mean like those crypto-groups you see on Facebook, Discord, Telegram, etc.?

Crypto is supposed to be anonymous. I don't think crypto-enthusiast from different countries will be interested in social networks.

If you want to push for it, then up to you. This thread will be fit on the section Project Development. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0)

Yes, separate platform, with "add friend" option, live chat with rooms, global discussion, pages for project and more...

we already have multiple social media platforms for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they are all centralized though. it includes bitcointalk, reddit, stackexchange, github, IRC, and a couple of other smaller forums. there are also "groups" on telegram, etc. that are mostly scamming people with pump and dumps.
we don't need any more centralized platforms.

if you have any idea for creating a "decentralized" platform that works then feel free to expand that idea. so far i have seen some that claim at decentralization but are even more centralized than their predecessors!

This seems to have a similar system, but I forgot the name, this ’s a good idea!

You could just make a pseudonym to facebook or in twitter and ask your crypto enthusiast friends to do the same and start a community. Or you could just use Steemit, Hive, Minds, MeWe, Note Blockchain and others.

I don't know if that's exactly what you mean but in late 2018 a project called "Foresting" (https://foresting.io/) was launched (from Korea) and it seems to be close to a "social media" on blockchain. I haven't done much research about it to be honest and it doesn't look anonymous if that's possible for a social media network with individual profiles. Or at least if that makes sense.

Considering the sale was in late 2018 and they haven't delievered anything substantial yet, I'm not very optimistic about it...
Their coin doesn't look good as well: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pton/

I think you confuse two concepts, crypto boards and forums devoted that people are talking and developing it, and decentralized social network.
As for the social network, it does not necessarily need to work on Blockchain to be decentralized, as the use of blockchain will be bad because the main purpose of it is to keep data for a long time without modifying or deleting it.

Some platforms are decentralized like Mastodon[1] as it allows anyone to host their own server node that works separately unified across many different servers.

you can also try https://blockstack.org/

I think that anonymous social network is a good idea. The personal data of users in social networks are not save and it will be good to have a anonymos social network.

I wouldn't mind having another "Anonymous Social Network" but creating it is just one part of the problem [the main issue is making users switch to your platform].
- I've seen a lot of similar projects come and go but the sad part is, I can "only" name another two that are still active [apart from the comments on this thread, send me a PM if you want to check them out] so unless you're willing to sacrifice a lot [time and money], I wouldn't recommend starting this project.
