I had some holding in cryptopia  I was searching about status of refund I found in April 2020 New Zealand court has given order to return fund to user .court given verdict stated  That the fund which we were holding in exchange belongs to the account holder . It’s been two months after that we dint hear any progress from exchange . What’s happening exactly any body knows even in the cryptopia official Twitter handle dint find anything .

i also have some alts on cryptopia mate, i hope my coins will back but maybe thats only a hope

I think the situation on the cryptopia exchange is now a matter of hope.

Because there are no guarantees that there will be a refund neither a guarantee that there will be funds to afford a refund.

Again I have gone through the link they provided it’s about liquidators details . I don’t have any patience to read all that liquidators details  in the name of transparency they are giving more burden to the users hope I had some ethereum , some electronium other token which I had forgot completely. Any how my major holding was ethereum let’s see what they come up with for refunding strategy .

I think it will help if you visit the Ann thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1669443.4480 there is an active discussion about the refund by other members .But for me it didn't seem to matter much and it's been more than a year since they closed

All you can do now is waiting. The legal process takes time even when the court given verdict. Though, you should prepare any document and proof involved in your cryptopia in case needed to return your fund.

According to cryptopia update, court has acknowledged that all the funds are owned by the users and they are not asset of cryptopia. There is no certain date of distribution till now. I hope they will distribute soon. I didn't have a lot of fund but a little. Hope I will get them back soon.

even I have forgotten this platform and I have also forgotten the tokens that I have there. But if they will distribute the tokens that we have there then it will be very fun and I also hope that if there is good news someone is willing to post here

It looks like no eta about the date for the claim process. The people are still holding their money on that site must be patience.

Wasn't there is a figure to represent the victims from Cryptopia (people have accounts at Cryptopia) to take care of legal matters? This case is big so at least, you guy hire a lawers or have someone attend the count, right?

I lost all hope that I will ever receive my funds back from cryptopia. I got almost 1 BTC worth of tokens and BTC over there I know it's not much but still would love to get my hand back on those again.

1 Btc is too much for me i had some electroneum and some ethereum and some other coins which i forgot completely which coin it was . But still i am not getting any clear idea are they going to distribute or they will keep on telling story . They are pretending them as innocent by putting the stories that nobody going to read . I wanted to keep this thread until we get justice .

There is still no official update regarding this matter, their thread is only full of discussion but there is no actual answer for this concern. It seems like there is no chance for them to return the funds of their users, but hopefully, they might process it for the sake of their users.

Cryptopia isn't binance, if I was a victim I would move on and stop hoping that one day Cryptopia team can pay victims back their money, I'm sure that Nicehash platform is bigger than Cryptopia exchange and after Nicehash got hacked they only reimbursed some of the funds, not 100%

I was also hoping to get back some of my altcoin and ETH on that exchange, cryptopia have posted liquidation report june 12,2020 you can download the PDF on the site, it will take six months or more for the liquidation to happen so we might have a chance to get something back but am sure it will not be our whole portfolio.

Yes, that would be the best thing to do right now. It's more than a year since this was happened, if they really intend to make a refund then there is no way for us to wait fo a long time. Even if we hope that one day they will refund the money, this won't do anything if cryptopia themselves won't take any actions.

I have also a fund inside cryptopia and i never expect to refund any single cent on them that's why I discourage you dude, do not expect that you will get your money to them and that is the reality and agony of life, in the crypto world, ''Invest what you can afford to lose.''

It's better rather than we got nothing from there. I think there will be KYC verification for people who wanna try to get back their money. It's too long for the users waiting for around 6 months from now.
It's not yet clear whether that's a fixed date or not.

I'm hearing rumours about KYC verification for those who will get paid back, if this is true then it's bad because there was no KYC when Cryptopia got hacked, not every one will want to do KYC

The refund might never come, some are saying KYC will be requested before getting refunds but it's not a reliable information, all you can do is wait but don't rely or hope for refunds

I'm sure that most victims will do whatever they can just to get the refund and even it will cost them KYC as a requirement. Base from all of those posts that I have read regarding the update for the refund.

Don't have high hope on it, because once you lost your money to hacker then it lost forever which happened with banks as well but they never returned it.If they keep being silent then it means that is the of cryptopia fund hope which serves a good lesson for all the money holders in every exchange.

I have never seen anyone returning funds from an exchange from which all the money was stolen. where should the exchange get this money? when they will earn them you will already forget that they own you and how much you had

I don't mean to spread bad news, but I have a feeling it is a goner. I have funds on the exchange also but the hack hit the team very hard that they need to wind down. We don't know the amount of funds left in their wallet but then I expect them to allowed people to withdraw their funds before closing shop

I think anyone still waiting for cryptopia to refund them might just be holding onto false hope. There isn't any indication whatsoever that cryptopia and its owners are looking to fulfill the payments. I mean, they really haven't communicated anything different regarding this in ages and it doesn't look like they will be doing that. However, if you have any way of reaching out to them, it will be best if you contact them and find out what they say.
