Title: DT1 Strength/Weakness Race!!
Post by: bitmover on June 18, 2020, 02:50:43 AM
Just did another animation with LoyceV data  (http://loyce.club/trust/DT1-strength.txt)

Thanks to tranthidung for the idea idea (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5256091.msg54635933#msg54635933) to make a DT1 Strength race.

You can see the animation here, just click on the image.

I am open to suggestions and ideas for new animations per request.

Raw data without date will be like that one, if you are curious about your DT strength, or would like to reproduce the animation video, you can check: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PDi49anliFWTtsSllczR4w_q5ilkto_R8w2Vh3Kr-4E/edit?usp=sharing

Nice work bitmover!   Are you able to work with live data and charts?

I have the data.
I have the technology. (https://asp.syncfusion.com/demos/web/default.aspx)
I just need a skilled designer to create the charts!  :)

Nice work you got there again bitmover!

How about you compile all of your chart race on one thread? It looks like you got more requests coming up here.

Cool graph :)

EDIT; Could we get a similar one for merit received/merit given out?

EDIT2; Just saw that you have graphs similar to my request, nvm me.

Just an idea, why don't link the other graphs/stats you made, below on each post with graphs so people like Hhampuz don't get confused. It's not that much of a work but it will be nice to have a quick access to all of them, and you get aslo a better exposure. :)

Correct, OP can do something like these:
  • [overview] LoyceV's useful data on Bitcointalk (https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=5145594)
  • tranthidung's statistical threads on bitcointalk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5181068.0)

Something like these:
  • I know LoyceV has such a thread because I got the idea from him, but I can not find that thread (https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=459836) (it is covered by many of his threads in the list)
  • tranthidung's statistical threads on bitcointalk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5181068.0)

I thought more like adding a link to the Merit Race thread on the bottom of the post and same adding a link to this thread on the Merit Race thread. But adding a link to a list like you give examples is also a good solution, tho you need to maintain another thread with a list.
Btw, I did the same (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5255703.0), but only for reference to quickly find what I need.

Because it is an archival thread, for your own reference. You can modify it further by classifying your threads into different board categories.

The default one given by the forum is for all boards: https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=1292764 (replace your userid at the end).
Next, moving further by boards with &boards=boardid at the end. I will take mine as examples:
  • Meta (https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=1292764&boards=24)
  • Beginners & Help (https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=1292764&boards=39)
  • Bitcoin Technical Support (https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=1292764&boards=4)
  • Reputation (https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=1292764&boards=129)

You don't have to create your own thread list and manually update it because the forum provides it and automatically updates it for you. Having something free and operates automatically are always better because it minimizes mistakes. :D

I feel it is useful because in the past, I managed my thread that is the same as yours: I am on the way to Legendary rank, after 2 years (only lack of activities) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5169623.0). It takes lot of my time to update it manually.  :-\

Enjoy the tip!

Nice work bitmover, I really like how you represented the data in motion as opposed to simple graphs, looks a lot more interesting like this :)
Have you considered doing a "DT1 Weakness Race"? This would save me doing some charts  :P
This would be based on those with the most negative strength, if not already obvious...
+1

I can work with live data in python. maybe I can help you doing those charts. Tell me more about what you need.

Well, I just done that and added a button, so you can control DT1 strength/weakness by clicking highest/lowest.
Check the animation again so you can see it!!

Not really sure what the point of this thread is supposed to be (other than a handful of people massaging their penis' egos...)

If you really want to have a "professional" look about your graphs, then can I suggest you go to this site: https://www.random.org/colors/hex and select a truly random colour for each user's tally?

Your graphics on the website you reference need to be adjusted as values spill off of the page.  There's no point visiting a site with graphs if you can't read the scores they are supposed to represent...  ::)

(and the speed of the graphic needs to be dialled down)
