I really can’t understand why the media create articles like this (link below) claiming that the world is ending on 21st June 2020, and then even gives proofs of this ridiculous claim which only fuels confusion among the masses. Also if you’re confused or concerned then don’t be as this a hoax claim, and it would not have been picked by the masses had the media ignored it.

A researcher did this as a joke but people including main stream media take this very serious get making them viral across the globe but later the tweet was deleted because people go too much crazy on it but we still believe those things.

Media want attention so they can say anything. :)

The media will report on anything that will get them attention and will report anything that they are told to report. If its a popular subject or will receive alot of Attention they want to report on it and of course be the first one to report on it! It makes them money!

But still, all this fake news negatively affects the psyche. Better not to read the news. It’s much calmer, there’s no general nervousness about which all news sites write. I finally breathe calmly when I stopped scrolling the news feed.

In the past 20 years, it has become very profitable for someone to degrade people, so in recent times and there is a lot of false and stupid information. As you know, stupid people are much easier to manage, especially when their minds are overshadowed by fictional problems.

Either it's a slow news day, or the media is trying to divert real attention towards the real news that really matters today.

Honestly, I don't want to worry about these doomsday predictions at all, because if it were true, then it's already too late for anyone to do anything about it anyway.

Whatever happens, will be!

Shouldn't be surprised that an article like this was put out on Express, or even anywhere at this point (minus some of the more respected outlets, such as WSJ, NYTimes, etc)

The media game at this point is all sensationalized stories that people will click on because of the crazy headline and then just share it because of the headline without reading into anything past this. The media does this because the money (for ads) is in the views. Nothing else really matters because people aren't going to 'turn against' biased reporting because they really don't care enough to vet properly.

We're in an interesting situation to say the least.

Such articles appeared earlier and will continue to appear because the print press needs to earn money with something, and they do everything so that you click on the article and see all the advertising banners from which they will receive at least some money for a living.

Yes panic and sex sells.
It has always been a top hit, which is why media and companies will always use it to get attention and make you click on their news article.
Most sites are so full of ads now, so they really want you to click and spend time on the site.

It's beyond sad that this is the case though. How do we live in a society where people will continue to use news sites like this to determine what's true and what isn't?

I've always said, people have the memory of a goldfish. So even if they're presented with facts to show that their favorite news source is obviously biased and is outright lying, they don't care and they're just going to scroll to the next story. I guess that's how this is all supposed to work though.

Tons of sheep relying on the big corporate news media. LOL.
