Post by: MAkkaroni on June 25, 2020, 03:06:37 AM
Hello, i am seeing "insufficient funds error" on blockchain wallet when trying to send BTC.

Already created #ticket, but no answer to that :(.

I need to move it....

What should i do to resolve this?

Best Regards, MAkkaroni

I can't tell it looks like you have enough to be able to send. How long ago did you receive the funds? Perhaps try again in an hour or so and see if it works again.

Or check what unit that 0.0199 is in (screenshot your balance or recent input transaction?)

Check the currency of the source of funds. It has to be BTC not USD. The most common mistake is that most people sees their balance into the equivalent amount of bitcoins they can have proportionate to the amount of USD (fiat) in their wallet.

Try to double check.

He does selected "Bitcoin" in the drop-down menu (check his img link).
The balance at the right side of it (labeled as: from) should reflect the selected asset, if he selected "Ether", the wallets at the right will display ETH balances.

@MAkkaroni this shouldn't be a major issue, try to clear your browser's cache and try again.
It could also be a server-side issue, in which case, just wait for 'them' to resolve this.
If anything didn't work, in worst case scenario, you can always export your BIP39 seed (Backup Phrase) to a desktop client.

If you have a smartphone on your hand then install blockchain wallet app and login with your wallet ID and password where you can send your funds without any issue just like any other online wallet.

Better download electrum for you future crypto transactions.

You don't have to worry about having your BTC there. There may be some problems with the browser or something. Maybe you could use another browser and relog your details there and check if there are some changes. Or maybe re-logging in with your current browser could work as well.

Looks like it's an issue with their "watch-only" copy of your wallet in their server.
In that case, just wait for their reply to your ticket.

Note: Transaction fee can not be changed
You need to click the blue "Customize Fee" under 'total fee' [0BTC ($0,00)] first before you can manually set it.

What I noticed is that you are trying to send from your main wallet to Wallet 2 in the same account. Have you tried to enter any other address in To box to see will you get the same error?

Aside from the possibility of some kind of internal bug, the only thing that comes to my mind is that the number of inputs (received transactions) is such that the price of the fee for a new transaction exceeds the total amount you have in your wallet. But if you don't have hundreds of small transactions, then you can ignore this possibility.

I am still waiting for response to the ticket from 40h....

You pay the price of using a custodial wallet, when such problem occurs, you have 2 options - to wait for their response (it can be 1 day or 10 days), or to use the seed to recover your wallet through another program (wallet).

Hi, yeah ofc i tried:

Hmmm i do not use it that often, to have such number of transactions.

Its depressing i need to wait so long for their response... beeing really not sure what is it.

The procedure you mentioned, is it complicated?

so, the way to restore your wallet that Lucius talke about is quite simple.
you download another wallet that support restoration from seed (like mycelium or Trust Wallet) and then you restore a wallet from seed there (you probably saved your seed when creating the wallet, right? otherwise the only way is waiting for their answer)

For recovering your wallet, first you need to backup your seed phrase. To do so, click on "security" on top of the page and then "backup" button.
Blockchain wallet will give you 12 words called seed phrase. Keep these words very very secure and never reveal them to others.

Install Electrum wallet and create a new wallet. Select "standard wallet" and then " I already have a seed". Then enter your seed phrase. In this step, you must click on options and check "BIP 39".

After that Electrum will ask you the script type. Since you are using blockchain wallet, your addresses should be Legacy. So choose "legacy".

Note: Download Electrum only from the link below.
https://electrum.org/

Edit: And verify your download as stated below by OcTradism.

Note: Download Electrum only from the link below.

Download then verify the wallet from electrum.org site.

The electrum wallet has a short guide to verify GPG signature of Electrum. https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/gpg-check.html

How to Safely Download and Verify Electrum [Guide] (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5240594.0) gives more details to verify Electrum wallet.

The procedure you mentioned, is it complicated?

You basically just have to download a software, follow the guide to verify its signature and then use your 12 words to recover your wallet. That's all.
Takes less than 5 minutes.

And for the future, you might want to stop using a web wallet.
Using a desktop-/mobile wallet gives you way more advantages and decreases the security risks.

ich hatte genau so wie im Guide von oben installiert, aber nun sehe ich leider mein Guthaben auch bei Electrum nicht, also es steht dort Balance: 0. BTC

kojoh, please use English in main forum boards, and your language only in Local board.

Quote
I had installed exactly as in the guide from above, but now I unfortunately do not see my credit at Electrum either, so there is balance: 0. BTC

If you use a seed from a blockchain.com wallet you must select an option check bip39 (on step where you type seed - click Options). Then you pay attention in next step and select proper derivation path, which means that if your blockchain wallet address is start with 1 - use first option (Legacy), and if start with 3 use second option (ps2h-segwit). In case you still see balances 0, then there is a problem with synchronization - wait a few minutes, or change the server.

~snip~

He already imported his mnemonic code, but ended up with an "empty" wallet, most likely due to chosing a wrong derivation path.
This is currently being discussed in the local board.

If I click options and then BIP39 SEED it works but I see 0MBTC later in the wallet.
Help!

You face same problem as OP, and I write possible solution on page 1 of this thread -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5257914.msg54702487#msg54702487

If your balance is 0, then either your wallet is not fully synchronized or you have chosen the wrong derivation path - so pay attention to the step after what you click on BIP39.

Electrum is show that your balance is 0, and that you send all you have in your blockchain wallet with last transaction on date 30-06-2020. This is your last transaction - > https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/49ccdadfe6beae65504e429bb455c36207b62685ba1d6535150c4c0d24536506

Have you ever import private keys to your blockchain account? Besides, I don't see how a blockchain can show a positive balance, and Electrum clearly show that you emptied your wallet with the last transaction ???

I did everything correctly I choose Legacy and I choose BIP39  and it works and I see all my transaction.
But still 0 MBTC.

Then this wallet simply is empty.
Check blockchain.com more closely. You may have some BTC in another "account" or "wallet" or whatever it is called there.

Or it might simply be buggy (which wouldn't be unusual at all because blockchain.com is extremely bad).

I had the same issue with with $66 ON bloakcchain I recover with my 12 keys to Electrum
However the $66 not move to Electrum it still stucks on Blockchain and can't use them. same stupid  innsufficient funds error.
I have done anything like you said.
Your image from the other thread shows that you've been trying to send from the default wallet:

Quote from: Jimmydeals1
Can you click the drop-down menu (the ▼ after "My Bitcoin Wallet [0.00..") to see which is the one with the balance and to know how many accounts you have.
It's also possible that it's in the Trading Wallet which isn't covered by the seed phrase (backup phrase).

Of course it's the first thing I did is too check that I send from btc wallet with bitcoin.
So it's from the default wallet then,
and you restored it using the default derivation path for legacy 1st account in Electrum as well, with zero balance.

You can now safely assume that the "fake balance" is blockchain.com's fault.
You can contact their support for clarification, though.

FYI: If the selected wallet actually have a balance, the error will show as "Not enough funds. Use maximum" instead of "Insufficient funds".
