Title: wallets for staking cryptos?
Post by: oker288 on June 25, 2020, 01:31:39 PM
Hi there , I知 Dan.
[w88 (https://w88onlineth.com/)
There are few wallets that I am aware of like Atomic wallet, trust wallet, Tezos and ledger.

Are there any more and do they all support multi cryptocurrency staking also?

The above four do support staking as per my understanding.

Thank in advance.

Exchanges like Binance and Coinbase are also supporting staking.

For Coinbase, there are complicated rules to become eligible staker.

Why you are looking for more wallets? I mean just stuck with reputable wallets why would you like to risk your portfolio and investment by putting it to some shady wallet, you should be very sensitive and careful about where you are holding your portfolio, do not trust each and every wallet with your money.

You can try https://cobo.com/ - if you hold your coins in a cloud wallet, not in an HD wallet, your coins will be automatically staked. Or you can lend your coins for interest, they regularly post new investing programs and you can choose for how long you are going to invest. Plus for using the wallet you get reward points and these points you can exchange for example for higher interest.

Hi Dan,

You may want to look in the the Verus Desktop Wallet (https://veruscoin.io/wallet). Supports BTC, Zcash, Komodo, Verus, and many other coins.

You can stake Komodo for 5% APR and Verus for a 25% ROI, not sure about other stakeing coins but you solo mine some coins too in the wallet.

Then you can stake the coins you mine and earn additional 25% yearly ROI

For example, if you have 1000 staking for a year then at the end of the year you have 1,250

Atomic tokens staking rewards are high ( almost 23%) on atomic wallet. Yesterday I found that gate.io exchange staking rewards are also good. The best staking rewards is in yobit exchange, although this exchange has several negative feedback. I used this exchange, I didn't find any issues without slowing down on my mobile. Binance exchange also has some staking rewards but very low.

Which coins are you planning to stake? I have no idea if any of the multi crypto wallet support staking, you have to download the official qt wallet in order to stake. For example, to stake DeepOnion, you have to download DeepOnion QT wallet and run them continuously. On the other hand, some exchanges also support staking program through which you can gain some rewards however, I wouldn't recommend you to keep your fund on any exchanges. They may get lost someday. Rather use the official qt wlet and have control on the wallet by yourself.

Hi there , I知 Dan.
[w88 (https://w88onlineth.com/)
My most basic question is, why do you hide a site in your writing.
Code:

There are few wallets that I am aware of like Atomic wallet, trust wallet, Tezos and ledger.
Yes, Atomic Wallet and Trust Wallet are multi-platform wallets. This wallet can store various tokens, not only ERC20, even tokens from other platforms, such as tokens that use Tron smartcontracts.
Tezos and ledger, I have never used it, so maybe you can visit their site, this is a hardware wallet.

You can try to use exodus too and i have been using this wallet since a long time ago and it's also built-in hybrid exchange that you can exchange your coin through the wallet too. It can be synced with desktop apps too and there are more features

The ones I used are Kucoin and Binance for staking altcoins as they are probably one of the safest wallets out there and with the highest returns. Though they are centralized, you don't need KYC to deposit/withdraw your funds anytime. But since they are exchanges, you should be aware that you don't the key to your assets and you should use it with care.

For me staking on the ledger is one of the best as its really safe and apart from that I use Atomic wallet for holding staking coins because they have a huge number of coins that we can stake there. Exodus wallet also supports staking but have never used it.

Yes, Atomic and Trust Wallet have more platform purse than Aik. These are the wallets I know there will be many more. Which saves cryptocurrency tokens. Tezos and lager, I have never used a new one, so maybe you can go to their site, this is a hard where or purse.

Kucoin and binance aren't safer wallets, they are centralized exchanges, how do you feel relaxed when you entrusting your altcoins to centralized exchanges? This is why I don't use exchanges for staking, you have to control over your coins anymore and that's risky

Trust wallet is good for staking I've used it. But you can use the token wallets if they have one I prefer to download these wallets from their official website to stake than using third party wallets. I staked Ndau using their wallet app you should check if the tokens you want to stake has a wallet app its best that way.

Does trust wallet have staking? Or the dApps inside the trust wallet? When Im using this wallet I dont see an option for their own staking of tokens mayve Binance have but them none, maybe what you are referring to are those dApps partners on their features. Of course staking on those platform enable through trust wallet. Same with other 3rd party app.

Using all wallet you have mentioned, It's not like staking mean, POS or staking Proof-of-stake is a consensus algorithm that decides on who validate the next block, according to how many coins you hold, instead of miners cracking cryptographic puzzles using computing power to verify transactions like they do with traditional Proof-of-Work -source (https://www.ledger.com/academy/blockchain/what-is-proof-of-stake).

In this case, you isn't validating transaction if using Atomic wallet, trust wallet or ledger., if you use those wallets, I call it investment, not staking. Algoritm staking work if you use QT wallet like Pffrt (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5258010.msg54682387#msg54682387) mentioned.

From that list, I think you can try Ledger, Tezos, and Atomic wallet, but there is another wallet that supports for staking the crypto.
But you can also stake on the exchanges, but I don't recommend that because you don't know how long they will allow you to stake the coins.
It is better to stake on the separate wallet which supports the coins, or you can use the multi-wallet to staking many coins.
But I don't know how long you need to stake the coin before you can get your profit because every wallet will have their own percentage to determine the profit.

It would be better to stick to prominent and trusted wallets when it comes to both staking or holding cryptocurrencies because there are many fraudulent wallets out there which will give you the desired features you want but ends up scamming. Yes, I am aware of those aforementioned wallets and their staking abilities but among them I prefer Trust wallet even more because in addition to supporting a whole lot of cryptocurrencies also supports their staking systems such as cryptocurrencies like Tron, Kava, Tezos etc, it is also user-friendly and comes with its own browser.

These wallets you mentioned above supports staking programs but with different eligible requirements, I am not in your shoes, so may not know the best suits you. To choose better ones, you should check on the one you can afford to stake with, the one that meet your eligibility, and never forget to stake on popular wallets like that of trust wallet.

While I can agree with you, I am still using Binance and Kraken for staking my coins. It is not a massive amount, it is easy, good returns and in my eyes still quite secure.
In fact I don't really use wallets, I store most of my coins on exchanges.

It's too risky, man. when you are a daily trader I don't think that is a problem. but when you are an investor who saves assets in the long run. I think you have a big risk. try to learn to choose your wallet. it's safer.

If you ever took interest in mobile wallet that supports staking i recommend Flits, it's a mobile wallet that does what you're looking for.

In fact I don't really use wallets, I store most of my coins on exchanges.
That's a yikes, if the exchange ever got hacked you would only have yourself to blame, not every exchange is immune from getting hacked.

Does trust wallet have staking?
Yes, they have. I'm not using trust wallet but based on their website, they have a support for staking coins and their wallet is suitable for it.
