Bitcoin Core and Armory are full node wallets[1], you need to wait for the sync to complete which requires downloading more than 200 GB.

check your bitcoin address using Explorer[2], paste ID/address into the search box here (https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/).
If you find your coins, download SPV wallet[3] like Electrum[4] (verify the signature[5].)

Not sure about the sync problem, but if you want to get your funds back, you can export[1] the private keys and sweep them into Electrum[2].

If the address, you sent the funds to, is the address armory gave you, your coins are safe.

Since armoy can not connect to core, can you verify that core is up running and fully synced? Core needs to be fully synced for armory to reflect all transactions and balances properly.

What you probably want to do is get your keys from armory and import them into a wallet like electrum where you won’t need to sync the blockchain.
