Title: Etherscan or Ethplorer
Post by: aioc on June 26, 2020, 04:57:20 PM
I'm using Ethplorer to check my wallets and track my tokens if the token I waited coming from bounties have finally arrive in my wallets, I have so many shit tokens in my wallet that are sitting in my wallets for years but I notice that some coins do not have value in Ethplorer whereas in Etherscan they have value, did you also notice that, which of the two are you using to check your wallet.

There's no difference for me whenever I use both. Whichever comes first in my browser, that's the one I use. But I do use both of them. As I've said, not that much difference.

I'm using etherscan and I think i didn't use ethplorer a lot I also have a lot of altcoins in my wallet that came from bounties that I earned in the past years but they are also sort of a dead token at this days. Some of the altcoins or tokens might have some value but your gonna need to check it first in the exchange because a lot of the value is completely fake. It is where the volume of the token is completely low they are just making the transactions in the exchange so that it will be recorded in the exchange that the token was bought or sold in a high amount but basically it is not.

I think the use of etherscan is more widely used than Ethplorer. yeah, but basically both are the same. it's just that, there are some coins that can't be seen in Ethplorer, so I mostly use etherscan for now.

Used etherscan in the past to track the token value but I am not using anything for now because most of the tokens in my holdings went to zero and I lost my hope on them.I didn't even login to my wallets for months.

How about using the trust wallet? Which itself add token to your wallet when it got value in the market, right?

I feel you but there was a time when I checked my wallet on etherscan one token that I remember showing no dollar value in the past suddenly has dollar value attached on it, glad I did I made $100 because of that, it still pay to check from time to time you never know, when one token of yours suddenly get a pump.

I am mostly using ethplorer but i think that etherscan is more reliable because the local exchanger from whom i exchange coins face to face always performs the deal based on etherscan price of eth which makes me understand that etherscan is more trusted as far as price difference is concerned it can happen because these platforms fetch data from different sources so value can be different.

There is no difference between etherscan and ethplorer, it's just that ethplorer gives more details about your tokens than that of etherscan, ethplorer is able to give real value of some low rated tokens while they are just blank on etherscan

I hardly take not of any difference between them because I bookmarked both of them and any that I happened to click on becomes the one I will use at that point in time, funny enough I think I mostly use etherscan. However, I think both are the same and yes the slightest difference only comes in the aspect that one (etherscan) showing prices of tokens more than the other but when it comes to tracking tokens both are wonderful. Lastly, among the two, etherscan is widely used, as in you hear people always saying "scan your wallet on etherscan" but not the other way around.

I didn't think that we'd come up to compare free services like this, like where you guys have the audacity? use any thing that is free on your own expenses, on your own comfort we don't need competition for these.

Personally I use etherscan, coz I find it first than ethexplorer, I also use ethexplorer less often and hardly can tell the difference between them. What matters is that we are using them for FREE.

I heard some tokens can't be read by ethexplorer, so they use etherscan maybe this is the deal breaker among these two.

I use these two services. Etherscan takes into account a larger number of exchanges on which one or another token can be traded. I consider the etherscan to be more informative in this regard, but Ethplorer is more convenient for this. It would be nice to find an application that combines all these details, which are currently fragmented and located on different services.

I stopped doing ICO bounty but still waiting coins coming from airdrops and I only use Etherscan, any of these two are ok as both have the  functions but if you have many tokens in your wallet, you can use both and see who can track better i experienced coins that shows up in Etherscan but not on Ethplorer.

Actually you can track the value that is listed on Etherscan by looking at transactions, and active exchanges. If the token is already registered in an exchange, there will be a value of $, but if it has not been registered then can track the transaction.
Whereas in Ethplorer we can see the value of $, but can not track exchanges.

I'd prefer use both of them. If either two of that is down, I can search for another one. If the purpose of using those services are for checking and tracking your tx so yea there is no reason to choose one over another. They have their own pros and cons personally.

To be honest I witnessed this the other day because ethplorer was not displaying the price of one of my token so I got a little worried and rushed to check in etherscan where it was showing and also found plenty of other coins with values that were not showing in ethplorer which made me happy but then again the values were not that great for me to cash out.

Both serve almost the same purpose. However, etherscan is much more sophisticated and easier to identify blocks, transactions as well as a broader view of the entire blockchain and basically several functions unlike ethplorer. I use etherscan because I find it more detailed and helps me track or search easily for any transaction. Ethplorer is simpler but doesn't have the same outlay as etherscan.

Easier to use etherscan, ethplorer is not practical. etherscan can check multiple addresses in one account.
ethplorer is only used at any time, suitable for checking single addresses.

Im using etherscan but that's true if etherscan is not so accurate to get the information about the current price of coins. Some shitcoins worth a lot of money and I think in this case ethplorer is much more accurate rather than etherscan but I'm not interesting with UI of ethplorer

i rarely use etherscan but whenever i use etherscan i only got the same result as ethplorer  . after reading what happen to op i think i might be using etherscan more often now because its been along time and i cant see a major growth on my coin using ethplorer  . im starting to think there are problems with ethplorer

Etherscn helps me to easily track if y coin is trading or not, which might sometimes be lacking on ethplorer. The only way ethplorer will show or tell you the price of your coin is if it is listed on CMC and if not, it will not show the pice. I think it works directly with the coin market watch site. Whereas for etherscan, inasmuch as it is listed on a known exchange, it would indicate it. ven those listed on DEXes are revealed on etherscan.

I used both but when seeing price I used etherscan because it was more accurate and besides the coin that is listed already have an exchange so it was not hard to track where the coin was listed and sometimes it has a value also indicated and it was accurate on the exchange.

Once I was using both, later I moved to etherscan.io. That Ethplorer website doesn't have a very good view, in my opinion. The Ethplorer has a good feature which doesn't have in Etherscan. Only Ethplorer shows the time difference between all coins received but the rest of the features are good in Etherscan. Etherscan is the best for track token, amount and transactions.

Exactly they serve or perform same purpose of checking cryptos however if the coin is not listed or shit coin that does not the the fact that both will cange the value of the coin they are mainly for tracking and tracing transactions of cryptos.

I don't think people really matter this much. some people are comfortable using etherscan, and some people like to use etherplorer. so far, I still use etherescan because of habitual factors. Yeah, but I guess, using one of them will have the same results, it's just that it looks different.

You are right, it all depends on their habits and their comfort in using them. this is not an exchange for which we must see security. both are easily accessible and it all depends on the comfort we use it.
I use Etherscan also. I don't know the reason. It really doesn't matter for me that much. I think I can use either of them. It's just my habit to use Etherscan. Honestly, I think both provide the same result lol!

True, between etherplorer and etherscan provide the same service, which is about information about tokens and transactions, only if in my personal opinion a more complete service is in etherscan not in etherplorer, even though both have the same location.

I always use ethplorer to track the tokens in my wallet. I didn't notice that etherscan and ethplorer shows different results while displaying the value of tokens.
But it won't matter much since the value of shittokens won't be that much anyway. So it should not be that big deal whether we are using ethplorer or etherscan for the seeing the tokens. Besides that if you are receiving any tokens in your wallet then you will surely look up for it on coinmarketcap or any coin index at least once to check how much it is worth.

It's intriguing though since you'll be noticing that Etherscan show value while Ethplorer said is none, but the fact
behind remained the same, shitcoins still shit.
So even there's reflecting that the coin have some value once you check from the exchange is either being played
by the bot or the dev who list the project inside.
both tools helps if you are tracking your token, it will be depend with users who are more familiar to the tools if
whatever wallet explorer to use.

There is a value on ethplorer too, however if you compared it to etherscan some values are not showing on their record. I think they have set on different reference or criteria. For example both refer to cmc list coins to have value but they set only those particular coin that are active and those who have been listed or does not have much volume would not reflect. Anyway, I prefer etherscan mostly eversince Im checking my token's worth.

I don't use Ethplorer at all, because I'm an Etherscan user since then. but I think both are still useful to the Ethereum and Eth based ERC20 token users maybe there are differences about there services but overall they are very useful to the Ethereum users and the community.

if only to check a new coin in or out it is better to use ethplorer, but for certain details etherscan is the best choice.

I still prefer etherscan because their interface is very user-friendly, and they integrate exchange like coinmarketcap so you can see which exchange the token is listed on. But currently I mainly use ETH token explorer bot on Telegram, it's much faster and more convenient.

I saw this while checking the balance, The ones in https://ethplorer.io that have no value but the https://etherscan.io have its value. From https://ethplorer.io to https://etherscan.io I prefer because https://etherscan.io information on which exchanger the token is with the price is available. That's why I can exchange tokens very quickly, but I'm not saying that https://ethplorer.io is not important, it's also very useful.

Etherscan is the best till now. Its platform is undeniably efficient and easy to use. And all of the coins are shown with prices in a specific way. They make updates quite quickly right now which are good for users like us. Their interface is also friendly and understandable

Can you share how? But I think I prefer this bot @ETHtokenExplorer_bot easily to set up and you can received notification when you received tokens or eth transaction. You can also seen the value of your token just checked the balance no need to scroll down and input your wallet address on eth scan. But I dont know if their reference is the etherscan or ethplorer but most likely its etherscan due to its popularity.

I am used to use Etherscan, for me it is more user friendly. About the price it depends on the exchanges what they have implemented into the system. I know that Etherscan doesn't show price on IDEX, even the token is listed, maybe thats the reason why Etherscan and Ethplorer show diffrent value.

I usually use Etherscan more because it usually gives the most detailed information possible. Besides, its interface is also easy to use and very comfortable to use. Ethplorer has a pretty dark tone so it doesn't suit me. Although both are quite similar, I encourage everyone to use Etherscan better, it shows more detailed tokens.

Yes, that the advantage of being the prime mover like Etherscan, most of us here have used it and definitely more comfortable by it, just like coinmarketcap, I'm sure majority of us here check the current price using CMC as opposed to let's say coingecko, although the latter has more data in it.

So I guess it's where we are most comfortable with, and at the end of the day, if we get the same results in either explorer then it is a win-win for us crypto enthusiast.

For a clean look and easy to navigate etherscan is always on top of other ETH explorer, as for the price of tokens its a matter of who update first on their server, etherscan give you the ability to view almost all information about a token and even warn you if its a spam token.

Clean and easy if you are looking for detailed information regarding to specific tokens and if there's available exchange who caters the trade. Etherscan have that features giving lesser time for traders or bounty hunters to check the data.

Regarding to the value of specific token, chances that updates has been done earlier whoever server done it first.

Did you all know that not only Etherscan and Ethplore can trace transaction from Ethe blockchain?

There are 10 Alternatives to Etherscan (https://medium.com/coinmonks/whats-the-best-ethereum-block-explorer-10-alternatives-to-etherscan-8eb5f2be263d), but of course, the most commonly used is Etherscan and this is most popular in tracing your token/coin that stored under ERC20 wallet or Ethereum wallet.

However, all of them have almost the same features but Etherscan has a friendly interface and that is why these are the most popular among others. This doesn't matter when it comes to your token if you storing shit token or died token, there's nothing changes it is always dead and no value.

These two looks pretty similar to me but I use etherscan more often because I discovered it first before the ethplorer, I don't know maybe I love the interface of etherscan? some says etherscan's interface is better than ethplorer but it does not matter at all as long as we are utilizing its purpose for a service. I've heard there are tokens that isn't readable in ethplorer, I haven't encounter this yet but there are numbered complaints about it though and this goes the same in Etherscan, I don't know the reason behind maybe it is not updated yet or whatsoever.

You can use what you like between these two, depends on what is more convenient for you  ;)

Ether explorer is my best option whenever I want to check my coins. Candidly speaking, there is no difference between the two application, but, etherscan is mostly use for transaction tracking than checking of coins in the wallet. Ether explorer make access to coins and token more easy than etherscan.

I never used ETHplore more than once until the sight of this thread, reading through all the post it show the later Ethplorer is no improvement to the previous except for the colorful interface which I think give a short appeal. Etherscan seems to be very light website and simple. More so many sight find it as a suitable reference to  check for status of transaction, most especially the myether wallet and other decentralized exchanges

I use the two they have different algorithm for token tracking I suppose because some tokens shows in one and it doesn't show in the other. I prefer etherscan I can easily go through all my tokens by expanding the tokens section unlike ethplorer. I like ethplorer because it shows me token value when received and present growth either an increase or decrease the two serve different functions.

It means explorer only display token that are already listed on exchange while etherscan will bring out both token. For me Etherscan is still the best because you will be able to see all your token both listed and unlisted token. If you are someone like me that always want to check on old token you are holding and see maybe the project is still on then etherscan is the best for you

I dont know on whats the difference among the two about giving value into some coins but they are all just the same but somehow you have noticed something up

maybe there are some difference thats why we do have our own will on which explorer would fit out or suit out our needs.

Yes Ethplorer may crawl on more number of exchanges for price than Etherscan. Another reason why I visit Ethplorer mostly is due to its modern design. I also have an account on Etherscan and visit them to see my overall balances on different addresses. And they are also more detailed on viewing transaction details and smart contracts.

CMIIR but Ethplorer does not show your addresse's internal transactions, only Etherscan does that.
Etherscan also supports and displays a lot of tokens which is why you see most of them has value when viewing those tokens on Etherscan.
There are other options too.
Here's a few:
https://etherchain.org/
https://blockchair.com/ethereum
Metamask (browser extension)
Etherchain.org just display the transactions that happened in your address and do not display your tokens.
blockchair.com on the other hand displays your tokens but there are no prices for them. It just displays how much tokens you have in your wallet.
Metamask (a google chrome/brave extension) also supports viewing token although you will have to manually add the token's details first.  ;D
Regardless, All of them are a good alternatives if ever Ethplorer or Etherscan goes down.

Etherscan is used by many more persons because popular wallets have incorporated it into their wallets to help track transactions. I know Etherscan shows the value of a larger number of tokens. Ethplorer feels like an older or redundant website for eth transactions and tokens.

because of this thread I have to check both of them, I haven't done this before LOL
I just opened https://etherscan.io saw an estimation of $3569 and when I opened https://ethplorer.io estimation/balance $3127
what I observed from here is at https://etherscan.io we can see CMC and coingecko, I think it's very practical to know where the tokens are traded
whereas at https://ethplorer.io we don't find CMC and coingecko so this is quite complicated

The both functions the same things, I used the both when checking my wallet, but the ones I prefer most is explorer, it shows me the arrival of new coin sitted on the wallet exactly, but knew thing I noticed is that, some coin appear in etherscan while it's not in explorer, some shows value in explorer while it does not in etherscan, because of this confusion, I decided to use both for checking if the dead shit bounties had drop something intangible.

In my opinion, when it comes to token checking I guess both of them are good for checking your tokens because they give us details for what the token is and the transaction from our ethereum wallet address. Ethplorer and etherscan have some different price of our tokens because I think both are not comparing on the same exchanges.

I don't like the interface of the explorer to be honest, I find the etherscan more appealing and user friendly, it serves all the my to get information about my wallet or others and also gives other relative details, so I stick to using etherscan all the time, i sometimes forget that there is explorer as well, not my favourite.

But both are useful though they have different kind system reading your eth wallet.

people might already be familiar with etherscan. Well, I myself have made etherscan very often to rarely check assets through Ethplorer. although Ethplorer is always used as an alternative, but at this time, etherscan has fulfilled almost all the needs to view information from altcoin ERC20.

Although both options are the best service in their field, I don't think there is much difference between the two. As a person who has only used Etherscan until today, of course, my preference will be in this direction, but since I have never used the other option, I cannot comment on it positively or negatively. As someone who used Etherscan and just read a few comments about Ethplorer, I would like to say that everyone can choose either or both of their services within their habits. As a result, both services are two alternatives of their respective fields, and both services are preferred by millions of users.

Only a few years ago I used both sites at a time to check the difference and interface. Now I can't remember the last time I used Ethplorer. The Etherscan interface is more friendly than Ethplorer. In etherscan it is very easy to check with huge ERC-20 tokens.
Well Etherscan's interface is quite good compared to Etherplorer in my opinion because this display is quite simple but can display with everything that is friendly so from I think many people use Etherscan to see tokens and better prices.

I only use Etherscan since it was built-in along with MetalMask addon when you want to check your address's transaction. I also like the Etherscan website's layout more than Ethplorer and as you said, Etherscan is more speedy to recognize tokens or even flag scammer's address.

i do decide to make use of much more faster one like etherscan. It might not really be that as good in terms of information display compared to Ethplorer but at least this one do still do the job.

I think etherscan also doesn't need to go into the wallet you are using and in my opinion both etherscan or ethplorer platforms have the same function to see all the total assets in your wallet, it's just that for etherscan I think it's clearer because it integrates directly with several places exchange so that it can bring up the possibility of a valid price.

Sometimes the coins I earned differ in price in some exchanges, so either of the two is my choice regardless on what I clicked.

Does this really matter? I think both usage of these sites are both useful and has the same purpose. To check whether our balance have any worth or to see its value, but some of my valuable tokens are more visible on etherscan. Also there are lots of ads on ethplorer sometime is quite annoying. But overall no negative views on these two.

if only to check the incoming token I prefer to use ethplorer but if you want to see the display of the token in great detail then use etherscan, even applications such as trust wallet do not display in detail like etherscan, but using the wallet application is more instant and easy, rather than having to open the web first.

there is no difference between the two because I often check that the value remains the same between Etherscan and Ethexplore, but personally I more often check my wallet through etherscan.

I think both sites tells the real balance of a wallet address.

For me, I am using Etherscan because I got used to it, when I started investing in ETH and ETH tokens, I've been using that site already to check my balance but sometimes when Etherscan is down, Ethplorer  is a good alternative for me, I don't know if there are other websites that has the same function but I'm only familiar with these two. Unfortunately now, I don't anymore access the site as my tokens are just sleeping, looks dead probably, so it's not fun to check it from time to time anymore.

Both Etherscan and Ethplorer are useful, but i like to use Etherscan because of its UI and well decorated system. For Ethplorer, it's also good ,but the developers sometimes make some upgrades which aren't good looking or suitable for all users, IMO. In the end, both are good and useful for ethereum blockchain lovers.

Both of them I have often used etherscan or ethplorer, the two are not much different. But I mostly use etherscan to check my wallets
and also to track tokens from bounties. I see, a lot of people use etherscan, so do I finally more comfortable using etherscan. I also
experienced the same thing with many of the altcoins on my wallets, which were obtained from bounties. But most are useless, because
they are of no value and ultimately cannot be sold on exchanges.

yeah, agree, this is just for a quick review, but since there is a lot of tokens, for the exact value of particular token, one should use exchange where it is traded, and check the trade volume, since some exchanges provide good price for the token, but there is no trading volume, so that price is not realistic, and i am good with etherscan that this value should not be used for the token, because you can not sell your token on that value

Hopefully the next bull run will come so we will again witness an altcoin season, however, I am not sure anymore if ETH tokens would still be the most popular in the market as ICO is not anymore popular in the market, we have the new one which is the IEO.

What I just wish if indeed there's an altcoin season, is that my ETH tokens will rise its value so I can have an opportunity to sell it, for sure most of you guys are also waiting for that opportunity.

ethplorer, because there are already transfer notes and tokens stored. the issue of values on tokens, in my opinion it's relative. if indeed the token has been registered with the exchanger, then there must be an estimated dollar there. so we have to check 2, which is ethplorer and also in the telegram group to make sure where the tokens will be listed, and check at the specified exchanger. in my opinion it is more effective.

I am using both of them because they are having their unique features which is more important and useful when I am making ethereum transaction along with tokens.

Etherscam is is providing dynamic page refresh which let me to know once my transaction gets its first confirmation. Even most BTC explorers need manual refreshments to find out when the first confirmation happens. When I first started using ether scan I remember they were not displaying token information which made to start using ethplorer.

Ethplorer is too good for all bounty hunters; it simply displays what are the tokens we are holding with one ethereum addy. Most of the times, I come to know about my token's listing in exchanges only after ethplorer shows some value for my token; I guess I could not remained efective with my bounty hunting if ethplorer is not in use how it is serving us for years.

I normally make use of Etherscan instead of Ethplorer, although both are the same, but Etherscan seems to be more reliable and convenient for me to use since it reads some tokens Ethplorer is unable to read, and also Etherscan can be used to check multiple addresses in one account, whereas ethplorer is good at checking only single addresses  ::).

I still prefer etherscan because their interface is very user-friendly, and they integrate exchange like coinmarketcap so you can see which exchange the token is listed on. But currently I mainly use ETH token explorer bot on Telegram, it's much faster and more convenient.
You are correct dude, etherscan moving fast to browse but etherplorer is take a few sec to load the interface. In etherplorer can detect your transaction very easily. Though i'm using etherscan for always. Explorer telegram bot is too much helpful, it’s able to notified a few second after received or out in your address.

I only use etherscan since joining the crypto world and joining projects that use the erc-20 chain. There is no specific reason actually, because I am more familiar with using etherscan and it looks more attractive. Regarding the value that does not appear in one of these trackers because the value is too small, the price and volume in the market are low, IMO. This is actually not a technical problem that you should be confused about, if you really want to know the price directly then you can check the social media coins or tokens to find out the exchange that is used, or can immediately see it on Coingecko or CMC.

I think if the accuracy of the information, then both are the same, because Etherscan or Ethplorer comes from the same source, MyEtherWallet. But to detect exchanges, it is easier to use Etherscan.
It all depends on the comfort of everyone in using it. we cannot compare it based on our comfort. everyone has their comfort. both remain good in my opinion.

I'm not talking about user comfort, and I'm not imposing my comfort on others. What I discuss about how to detect exchanges with Etherscan. So the OP can check directly the value stated on Etherscan based on active exchange. Because the basic question is "which of the two are you using to check your wallet."

In a few months ago when I try to check my balance using etherscan I found that I have 5000$ and I thought I am watching wrong wallet then I have checked my wallet in explorer and total balance was 5$.And all of my happiness has gone to the hell.Sometimes etherscan show false value of the token when in reality they have no worth or value. Sometimes if coin has changed their contract address, etherscan will still show balance in their previous coin. And I have not found this type of mistake with Ethplorer. So my vote will go to ethplorer.

do not understand what do you mean by this, i have more than 100 tokens in my airdrop wallet, and all are shown in etherscan, do not have to adjust anything, just scroll to all of them, despite they do not have value or something, but that is not Etherscan fault, it is my because i joined that crappy airdrops

Etherscan platform is indeed very good for monitoring all wallet assets owned but you have to know sometimes Etherscan has an inaccurate asset estimation value while ethplorer in my opinion is still good because it is not as bad as Etherscan even though etherscan can monitor the wallet to the maximum limit of 25 ethereum purses or erc20 wallet.

Etherscan and Ethplorer are still both useful in terms of monitoring transactions.
This was being used for a couple of years now since I started here in cryptocurrency.
I don't see any wrong with these two of course.

I prefer Etherscan because it has better UI design. They are not much different in functions. You can use both to track your wallet because these 2 websites get data from different sources.

Etherscan and etherpolar They are both part of ethereum wallet. But they are both different. A coin publishes the price on an individual site. It's not a problem. Best wishes for all coin and token.

I only used Etherscan since I started to have an interest in crypto to track my transactions and tokens that I got from the bounties that I participated in. I also have a lot of shitcoins in my wallet or coins that don't have any good value. It is the reason why they mostly get stock in my wallet for years now.

Both are almost similar in its functioning. The usage of etherscan and ethplorer were low compared to the previous years. Once I was much into bounty participation. During those days quite often I check myetherwallet, later the value of my holdings were worth nothing. Maybe once again will start accumulating more and more tokens.

Most of the time I use Etherscan. I don't know why it seems easy to me. But sometimes I have to use Ethplorer to see details about my Tokens. So basically I use both Etherscan & Ethplorer.

Once i liked ethplorer better than etherscan but those days are over. Etherscan dominated the market and i am not entering ethplorer for a long time. But right now i will check just to be sure if any of my tokens i am not aware of has some value which etherscan doesn't show, just to be sure :)

maybe just the familiarity of how to use, then there will be differences in perception that will occur. like the colleague above used etplorer and now is more etherscan, I think it's usefulness that might be able to distinguish.

I used both of them and until now I found it helpful to both. I use etplorer only to look for new tokens that might not yet exist in the market if they are already registered there and see the contract number. but if I use etherscan to see the tokens that I get on my wallet.

when viewed because of factors alone, which results in people more pleased with etplorer or etherscan. and that factor makes it habitual and doesn't seem to be able to move to another, even though it might be renewable.

Both are same. But etherscan is widely used. I saw most of the exchange and sites redirect to etherscan also it seems to be friendly to me. So i will suggest etherscan.

I tried ethplorer before but I’m convenient using and viewing all of my token in etherscan. Etherscan is best for me without exploring others this gives a one go viewing all of our tokens. As long this gives you the needed Data and information anything can use.

I have for a long time developed so that I use both, quickly went to check what you need. I don't see anything complicated about it.

If you are used to using Etherscan, there is no reason to use the Ethprorer website instead of Etherscan. Both has same features and both shows same tokens in the wallet. Not like other services that shows only supported tokens. Ethplorer and Etherscan show all received tokens no matter the websites support them or not.

I have been using both of these explorers for different purposes. In the initial days, etherscan was not supporting ERC tokens as far as I could remember. So, at this times I needed ethplorer for tracking my all ERC tokens. And then I started making use of these two explorers interchangeably for some requirements. Whenever I do get transaction links from exchanges, they are providing etherscan tx links alone. But, I am not too comfort with them.

But, ethplorer is seeming like too organized to show up both ETH and token balance in my eyes (not sure how other people are viewing it). When you are comfortable to something for some reasons then you may not change that for sure suddenly. I still look for more convenient and eth fork traceable explorer for all my ethereum related needs :D.

I use etherscan, if I have to check value of my tokens I just use deltabalances, it shows estimated value of all tokens instead of just cmc listed ones.

Im using both but ethplorer seems more fast updating erc20 assets I usually monitor my new tokens via ethplorer but sometimes it takes time to load if you have too many shitcoins in your wallet.

Anyone used based on what their needs. People must aware if there's no perfect platform and when platform A is less accurate and there was another choice that much more accurate like platform B but the design was not so good like platform A. that's also happening on etherscan and ethplorer

I like ethplorer because i feel comfortable with it. It always shows the value of token of that time when you make any transaction. This is the plus point.

I thought deltablances show value of tokens wrt forkdelta, etherdelta and IDEX are there added exchanges? Well, etherscan and ethplorer still show value of tokens and both are similar and also unique in their own ways. Major reason why I use ethplorer is to display value of my tokens in descending order. Etherscan is cool since it shows exchanges where you can trade tokens. Both etherscan and ethplorer are valid, but etherscan has more unique features.

I think it is hard to choose the best between etherscan.io or ethplorer because to my understanding, etherscan.io shows token value of tokens that is not reflective on ethplorer, while ethplorer shows value for tokens not reflective on etherscan.io too.

My suggestion is that you use both ethplorer and etherscan.io to complement one another seamlessly for a better result

I use both of them. Ethplorer because of the black nuance and some of the writing is more pleasing to the eye than Etherscan which is too bright and the writing is less pleasing to the eye.
but in terms of the completeness of the assets read and some important contract addresses Etherscan may be highly recommended to use and they have advantages and disadvantages.

Yes, it shows value according to those dexes, while etherscan and such show according to cmc. Thing is, cmc listings takes a while, but on fd/ed tokens are traded as soon as they are unlocked and deltabalances shows you prices right away.

I use ethplorer to check my token balance and etherscan to check if the blocks confirmed. I am more comfortable using ethplorer because it has details of transactions showed better than etherscan. Nonetheless, both are useful depending on each user's preference.

Actually Ethplorer I haven't used for a long time. Both are the same but the presentation of etherscan is very attractive.
Here is my vote and to use everyone
I know sometimes Ethplorer is showing more value but Etherscan has more features.
I do use etherscan to check my transaction history.
It's very easy to check contract address, tokens holders and holders numbers in etherscan.

etherscan is more specific to show details about tokens.
if only to check a new coin in or out it is better to use ethplorer, but for certain details etherscan is the best choice.

I don't use Ethplorer i just use Etherscan for tracking my tokens, I usually use it when i want to get the contract address of the token and copying it with the decentralized exchange look if they had a value.

If talk about interfaces, i like etherscan, because so good interface, with blue and white, also so easy to tracking token, sending and receiving. But
If talk about token price, i prefer ethplorer. It's so easy to see the price of token. It also sort from highest price to lowest price, so easy for me do decide which token should i to sell

The token sometime doesn't have value on Ethplorer because Etherscan usually detect the exchange that list the token faster than Ethplorer.
Both of them are popular ethereum explorer but i prefer to using etherscan because im get used to it.
I usually use etherscan to see the gas price before send eth or tokens, so my transaction won't be stuck because the gas is too low.

Actually, if for the time being the gas cost to send the ERC20 token is very high, can't setting. If we change gas costs, an error will occur, or the token will not be sent. I do not understand why Ethereum currently costs quite high. For sending tokens more than $ 1.

Checking gas price has nothing to do with using ethplorer or etherscan. You might use etherscan to check the current gas price, while you use ethplorer to check updates of tokens in your wallet. Both have their usefulness, but people use what is more convenient for them. I use both depending on which comes to my mind first.

I use both etherexplorer and etherscan but maximum time i use etherexplorer to see my bounty wallet whether any new token arrieve or not quickly. I observe some difference that you reffered in your post. Basically etherexplorer shows value of tokens that are listed in coinmarketcap where in etherscan, value of coinmarketcap and other exchanges listed values. This causes sometimes difference but it is not major difference.

I personally use Etherscan because it provides as much detail as possible. Besides that, the interface is easy to use and very comfortable to use. Ethplorer has a pretty dark tone so it doesn't suit me. Even though the two are very similar, I encourage everyone to use Etherscan better, it shows the token in more detail. Is not it?
