Title: be careful with that project [Silvering (SLVG)]
Post by: Slow death on June 27, 2020, 03:17:55 PM
I don't know if it might be appropriate to put this in that section, given the fact that there are a lot of red flags I am going to put here.

ANN Thread:  [ANN] Silvering (SLVG) token - New Silver Asset Backed Cryptocurrency (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254448.0) ( archive  (http://archive.is/WiWSr))

Profile: @AltcoinNForum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2743411)

Site: https://www.silvering.biz (archive (http://archive.is/JRB3H))

Red flags:

1 - On the website there are no members of the team, but on the whitepaper there is only 1 member of the team, who is the founder of the project.

About the founder I found the following:

it looks like he was very active on fiverr.com

archive (http://archive.is/Fv1Eu)

https://i.imgur.com/DtrCy77.png

2 - The site is very strange, it looks like the founder asked someone from fiverr to make the site

3 - They do not show photos and videos of the physical office... according to their website:

CONTACTS

Adress:
2232 Dell Range Blvd.
Suite 245 Cheyenne,
WY 82009
USA

Phone:
Mobile: +43 720 775 378
Mail: office@silvering.biz

when I search on Google Maps I find this:

4 - they do not show photos and videos of the silver that they have and where they are kept

5 - There is no credible company that has audited

It is obvious that this website and member should not be trusted easily.
When I click on certificate link I son't get any result.
All company photos are nothing more than bunch of photoshop mockups that had nothing to do with real company images.
I don't feel comfortable to buy silver from them.

Here is one of their image:

excellent discovery. Now it is clearer that they have no physical office and if there is no physical office this project has become more suspicious than I thought. I want to hear what @AltcoinNForum will say about it all.

another thing that is bothering me Is this:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/bela-balog-35953380/?originalSubdomain=hu

the founder of that project didn’t mention anything about that project in Linkdin account, but I also discovered other things that I’ll post later

As you've seen no doubt on the thread, i've been provoking them and proding them to explain to me why treir token is to be used.
And i even did a small calc proving that their silver (which supposedly they have) with shipping would cost $60 per Oz, which is 3-4x the actual spot price.

They are showing pictures with "proof of their silver", however, i could take a picture of more silver coins right this instance if i opened my drawer. Having 10 coins is shamefull for a company which backs its token with silver.
