TRON 4.0 is scheduled for release on July 7, with some very interesting modifications. Main changes:

- Inclusion of private smart contracts (TRON would be a pioneer in the inclusion of the private smart contracts protocol), based on zK-SNARKS technology, allowing transactions to be made without revealing confidential data.

- TPOS consensus mechanism, mixing the advantage of the PoS and PBFT mechanisms, this will reduce the confirmation time of the confirmation blocks from 57 seconds to 3 seconds.

- TICP cross protocol, this allows different blockchain of the Tron ecosystem to interact with each other.

- Blockchain solutions focused on financial institutions and companies.

In my opinion, the launch of TRON 4.0 it will possibly begin to have a significantly positive performance in TRX, compared to the last two  months.

Tron is big project with big investors and very large community, with the release of 4.0 and such changes I do believe it will create enough hype that will affect the price positively, trx has lots of traders and holders, even the CEO Justin sun knows how to create hype to pump trx price, so it is very possible to see a price surge.

TRX prices depend on demand, we don't know how this will happen in the market,
right now Fomo about Tron 4.0 hasn't appeared yet, we will wait until July, hope TRX can go to the moon

It would surely reflected in the value if the improvements infect the demand for TRX. This may not be a direct reflection as it may a period of time for users to try the new release of TRON.

I don't fully agree agree with you, as the new updates of a new version release is not just to create hype to pump the TRX price. You can compare this with the old releases of TRON. And as you stated, TRON has already a large community of traders and holders who maintain the coin .

Tron is a good project but has one of the biggest supply so whatever improvement Tron makes it won't affect its USD value significantly. That great to hear that at last they are launching their smart contract but it will not make any difference as they are pretty late in doing it.

Remember when Justin Sun took a poll about which being a better project and he posted about Ethereum 2.0 or TRON 4.0 and it was obviously manipulated since Tron suddenly won the voting poll? That alone signifies that this upcoming project for TRON is more hype rather than something to be a game changer for the project. A lot of people said in the subreddit of Tron that if nothing significant happened with the previous version what would be special about this time? Even some of their own investors are not believing the hype.

My guess is that's already priced in and releasing it will just affect negatively to the value, similar to "Sell the news" -effect. I was thinking of getting rid of my trx but i am too scared to do that if i am wrong on this.

if we look at the fundamentals, TRX prices should be affected because of this event, look at BCD, prices are up 10%, because FOMO halving will be done at the end of July, but TRX is still not experiencing a good increase

this will be interesting because look like the compete between tron and ethereum already begin
eth with ethereum 2.0 and and tron with trx 4.0 and who is the winner ?

Think about it, are they going to release a game-changer? I do not see any reason why I would buy now TRON or buy it in the future.
Look at new features what will be implemented in Ethereum 2.0, they will completely overtake all competitors.

The fight won't just be easy as you said between these cryptocurrency projects. TRON has it unique features that will be upgrade to 4.0 and when this is done, there might be some positive impact. We all know that TRON has some big names as investors, this can help in the push of it price a bit higher. Ethereum has been on the frontline compared to TRON, so, the challenge will continue for both altcoins till anyone get it right. Possibly, this upgrade to TRON 4.0 will have impact on it value.

We all know that whenever there is a huge development update, the price increase dramatically because of the hype created by the news plus the shills around the market.  This improvement, if successfully broadcasted and accepted by crypto users will definitely be reflected to the TRX price value.  More adoption, more demand equals price increase.  I hope that if ever TRX price soar after this development is not just a pump that will render many investors to lose money.

When justin has published the result of the vote for the comparison between tron 4.0 and ethereum 2.0 and most people have chosen ethereum 2.0 is much more attractive than tron. At that time and the result of the vote is also being manipulated and it gives nothing to the price. TRON 4.0 will give nothing to the price

a copy+paste shitcoin wont last forever plus Justin Sun is just making his shitcoin looks worse.
everything Sun touches gets ruined just like the #1 dapp running in his platform i bet he is behind why wink is getting a negative sentiment from the community.

TRON had some serious mishaps on release and I think it'll have a hard time ranking any higher in the market that it already has so far. The infrastructure and consensus algorithms they've been trying to build were lacking from the start. Not to deter bag holders though... Even after allegations of plagiarization TRON was still holding up somehow. Even if it came out that the code of the new update was completely stolen from other projects, fanboys would still somehow support it. It's how crypto communities work...

Actually tron has nothing but full of hype. I can say that cause their CEO loves to make hypes out of their platform. I dont know why some people patronizing tron where ethereum is obviously a much better smart contract platform. Even the dApps are now being rally up by Justine, he really wanted to compete but I guess beating EOS must be his first goal before making a rivalry with eth cause seriously a lion versus a rat?
