Title: What is Cardano's business model?
Post by: serdani on June 29, 2020, 09:33:41 PM
This might be a silly question but I wasn't able to find a clear answer for this through looking on the web.
I understand how Cardano has developed Ada and is hoping for smart contracts to run on the platform eventually.

But what is Cardano's as an entity's business model? Is their aim to provide consulting services in the future for anyone who wants to integrate with the platform?
Sorry if there's an obvious answer that I've missed.

It should be a tokenization model based on what product that has already created.

Quote
it is a technological platform that will be capable of running financial applications currently used every day by individuals, organisations, and governments all around the world.

Since there are so many tokenization and Defi platforms and i can't call this as a good business model anymore. They were aiming to provide the platform to be used to build the application that used blockchain as its core system.
It's providing consulting service for developers who wanna build its dapps on cardano.

As per website, they're aiming to dominate and innovate the financial sector. Most of the financial services that they think isn't being well, they want to change it and be fair in all terms.
But just like any other established crypto project, they can adopt and get into several models for which their aim is applicable. And that's what we're seeing from most of the crypto projects out there.

Guy that made Cardano was developing ETC and ETC is basically ETH. So I dont think Cardano is much different form Etehreum. I guess its use case is making ICOs. Since most countries dont allow unregulated securities on their exchanges market fro ICOs dried out.

There are so many platforms that are similar to Cardano, like ETH, stellar and we can also count BNB now they recently enabled smart contracts on their chain. Those platforms definitely have the same goals but they have different progress. We can't stop the redundancy of the project, some want to make it better or just want to compete, that is how business works, competition. I guess it is all on their website the info you needed, you can also try to understand ETH, etc. because they are a bit similar.

I like this comment. There is a standard business models cum strategy that tech business runs on, its freemium model. Most businesses operates for sometime by offering free services before as they gain audience, they will start introducing some models that can be leveraged on.

I believe, that's what Cardano want to also do then later pivot into business models that'll work...

Why does a cryptocurrency need a business model?

In 2017, all projects had 1 goal - to raise money on the ICO. Most of the developers for this purpose stopped and left the market  :)

Cardano raised 62,240,000 USD (Hard Cap)

What real projects work on Cardano now?

I see a lot of common phrases and don’t understand how they will take over the world and kill the ETH  :)
