people all over this site on their local forums use their own local and regional language. why dont we make this forum a hindi supported forum? what do you say benson?

Yeah there are many Indians who are hesitant to share their views in English because its not their preferred language .!

yup! promoting hindi will encourage indians to share their views.

Yeah i'm in favor , because this section of forum is for Indians and Hindi is preferred language of people who are not comfortable with English...! the only thing i think holding back to turn it into hinglish is that many members are from south India or states where English is preferred over hindi..! and it will become hard for those member to understand the conversation in half hind half english..! even Benson is from South India i guess, I don't know how good he's in Hindi..?

I am from north india and hindi is my mother tongue but i prefer to read and write in english, even when I write in Hindi, I use english alphabets !!
And yes, majority of the crowd is from south so dis idea is unfeasible.

Teah this is a very complicated situation here , most of the members are from South India who are not good with Hindi and as you mentioned But There or other Indians who are not good with English .

koi load nahi hai yaar ,apni baat to subhi samjha lete hain and there is another thread for vernacular/local lang inside this indain section.

While Hindi is a strong language across India, I believe that the majority of Internet users in India, are all good with English.

Am fine with the sub-section for regional languages, but English works best is what I have seen so far.

Am not great at Hindi, but can manage.

This is already in works then why not one more for Hindi lovers mean 2 sub forums one in English and one in Hindi is this ok

there already is a subforum in hindi..! that is totally in hindi..! Proper devnagri..!

promote english as a   language on this forum but also allow hindi on the 'whole' indian forum.

Hindi can be used anywhere people want to. It has never been stopped.
The regional languages subsection has been set in place mainly for product launches, guides, etc, which will bring value to local readers rather than participants of the forum.

Not sure of how many users will come onboard if there is a specific Hindi subsection on the forum. If we can see more activity under the regional sections, I would be glad to bring them out to the main lists as well.

Any statistics of the use of devangiri hindi across the internet will also help.

Well to understand and learn abt a subject i think language harldly matters(koi bhi ko janne aur samjhne ke liye bhasha sayad hi koi farq lata hai) so be it hindi aur english aur any other common language it hardly makes a difference

I sure one thread is in Hindi not bad idea as many other countries also have this so why not here
