Interested in pp - f&f. Escrow via MJ.

Thanks for your interest. Yes, I might be open to that. You are talking about PayPal Friends and Family through MinerJones (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1833742)? Had never heard of the FF option on PayPal - does it give the seller any indication that the payment is FF? Any issues with sending that much money through the FF option?

You would have to cover the escrow fee, though. LMK if you want to discuss.

FF method payment paypal has no dispute option. That is the only issue on using it especially when you have no escrow on your transaction. But if you are using MJ as escrow then it will be great option considering that it has no fee and also you are safe that the payment will not be refund in the future. The only thing I hate PayPal is the withdrawal fee amount and also the price spread on buying/selling USD to other currency.

Sorry man, not interested. I didn’t build so much trust in last couple of yrs to pay for escrow fees against the people who have no trust.

Friends and Family PayPal payments can most certainly be charged back. Do not believe anyone who says otherwise. They are wrong.

The last time I used PayPal was its not reversible and I even contact there support for this matter. They suggest me to not used that mode of payment if I'm not dealing family because its not eligible for buyer protection. The issue happened around late 2018 or early 2019.

Anyway if you say it and maybe you recently try then it might be true. It will be hassle to used PayPal after all if we are dealing huge chunk of money. Thanks for the input OG.

Simply stating the transaction is unauthorized may garner a reversal. However you can absolutely contact your credit card or bank and dispute the claim claiming fraud or unauthorized payment and it will be reversed as PayPal will lose the money and then go after the receiver. Many claim Venmo is safe alternative, however I have personally recovered funds in an IRL scam.

You would be naive to think it’s not reversible. If you think it’s not, I would be glad to help prove you wrong with an item that I keep if I’m right  :)

However, in this case with Agrawas being the person recommending PP F&F I would say this is not even a necessary discussion as his PayPal is as good as his word. Have done several BTC in trades with him without an escrow and wouldn’t consider using one with him especially this low of value. Just my two sats.

I would have been glad to split the escrow fees with you if u had any kinda trust after being on the forum for so many years.. It’s just odd you are waking up from 9 months of inactivity and suddenly selling something and asking for payment methods that are irreversible.

Well Good Luck with your sale..

I don't see where he requested any specific payment method in the OP - you were the one to suggest pp f&f - he actually said he had never heard of it. --- Just saying. At least as far as I can see in this thread, if there was communication elsewhere then we wouldn't know about it.

edit ---- totally missed the cash/money order part of title. doh

though 9 months stagnant and suddenly back and selling something for around 2k - I would recommend escrow.

Indeed. OG, is there any way for you to reveal any general details of this?

Buyer protection is not the same as a chargeback. All the buyer has to do is say they were hacked and PayPal will reverse payment. I’ve seen a lot of users asking me to escrow PayPal and making the false claim that it is safe lately. I would be cautious as a lot of victims can stack up in the time period a chargeback is allowed.

OG is correct, PPFF can be charged back.  There are 2 ways i know of:  1) sender of funds claims unauthorized transaction/account hacked and PP reverses the charge.  2)  Sender files a dispute with the credit card company which funded the paypal transaction, cc company reverses charge with paypal, paypal recovers from receiver of funds.

While there is no "buyer protection" with PPFF the charges can definitely be reversed.

All the above said, I would gladly accept ppff from Agrawas with no concern.

I dont think @lesbiancow was questioning anything you said nor your view on the trustworthiness of Agrawas.

But agreeing with your statement about the PPFF which is good solid factual information :)

I'd also have no issues trading with Agrawas any day of the week as well as many others here.

Thanks!

Absolutely as you’re likely using a CC with it and that is also able to utilize Chargebacks. So double whammy.

+1 for agrawas Trustworthiness

Edit - prob shoulda read thread as LC covered this already. My bad.
