I can't remember the link I've read days ago but they mentioned Chainlink and ADA seem to have the obvious bullrun when ADA was added to coinbase. It also mentioned Bancor and KAVA seem to be the Defi projects still are paving the way to bullrun season. The tokens so far as of now are very cheap and for someone who could bag today will really make huge profit once it kicked up.

I know it will be a joy for everyone in crypto space to see the actual reality of news like this.  At least one of the altcoins I have personally witnessed its bull run recently was a newly listed 2018 project called Invox Finance.  It rose from -1.52% to +634% in just overnight.  I am optimistic that if Bitcoin stability continues, there will be more improvement in the price which will also affect altcoins positively as we anticipate the probability of bull run come year 2021 or thereabout.

You are talking about the altcoin market, but I see that only Ethereum and Dogecoin grow. And even they grow, we can´t compare this growth to Bitcoin, that made already 300% growth in a few months. Who knows, if the altcoin season happens and if yes, we can´t expect that all coins will grow as we saw it in 2017.

Only a few altcoins are growing in recent days, and if you want the altcoin market to grow like 2017, I think it will never happen. There are too many altcoin scams in this market and it needs to be removed so investors can focus on the top altcoins.

Its the only Chainlink, crypto.com and ADA that's always green since last month. Crypto.com really is amazing but you might wanna look for an opportunity before an entry position. If I just knew that crypto.com will continue to grow, I could have bought more than the ADA I got for staking. This is the project that has more to grow. It may sound like I shill for it but its true that it continue to rise.

Almost 2% dropped is not significant as I don't see a stable rise on the altcoins, the market could still any time dump when there's a FUD.
Looking at the 7 day period only is wrong, we should look for months of weeks of comparison as crypto in general is so volatile, it could move on a regular basis.

I'd rather hope that bitcoin will rise so altcoins will have its chance to be stable, but if bitcoin will get stagnant, I'm not expecting a real altcoins run.

This is the way you see it but I see things differently mate, 240$ per ethereum isn't rally for me and saying altcoins gain momentum isn't real because all I can see are altcoin green market, no bullrun or big surge, the only project with massive pumps presently are DeFi projects

Agree! That's what I'm waiting for in this market. I have seen enough to have a hope that there will be a bullish season in the cryptocurrency market. Especially after the launching of ETH 2.0, I expect all other altcoins will pump along the way with BTC and ETH. The market is in bad condition for too long, I hope it can recover asap and create the opportunities for traders as well as investors.

Yes, i think so too, in last few days many Altcoin has started to wake up from their sleep, the Altcoin market has begun to recover. So I think this is the right time to enter market, especially for daily traders, because price movements are very suitable for daily trading.

Wow, that is another promising graph if we look at it. We can see that it is slowly gaining value compared to the past years and all we have to do is wait for it or ride it and start trading and buying those coins that looks promising. Surely all HODLers will be happy again and wait until that graph is at the peak.

Just to be fair, I'm seeing a lot of altcoins really making significant gains over the last day or two. And I was surprised to see the dominance of BTC going down, but it is still very high. If there is an altcoin bull run, I'm expecting the dominance to be in the 50% range. Otherwise, this could be some projects are just being pump, or they are being listed on top level exchanges that's why the price has grown in the last couple of days.

It's been a long time since that run of Ethereum from $170 to $240. I think if you're pointing the momentum of the altcoins that are pumping lately, there are many of them or use the CMC's gainers and losers.

altcoin movements are pretty good, but in my opinion this isn't a bull run. I am not pessimistic, but so far the crypto market in general, there has not been a continuous increase, meaning that it goes up then goes down again. unstable continues to rise, so for now we just look at this positive movement.

Ethereum does have a brighter future than any other altcoin. There are many advantages containing in Ethereum which are easy to use and apply to the real world. This graph is really promising and it is a good evidence for anyone who wants to invest in this altcoin

I guess ethereum will soon hit $1000 in the next 2 years and I even believe that it can easily surpass its previous peak. The world is getting developed day by day and blockchain has already proven that its a promising technology for online payment and tele-communication

If you expect an altcoin season where every altcoin increases greatly at a short amount of time then I've bad news for you: None since this is not the old 2017. Today, only a strong altcoin could do that thing and it will take in turn for each altcoins. Just like the dogecoin pump recently.

It's not about ethereum but look at some big gains that have already gotten by the major coins too. Is not it enough to proving if altcoins already on its way to gain the momentum to decrease the bitcoin domination? I think that can be considered as an evidence.

Only a matter of time now, before the older and more established Altcoins like Dash will start growing exponentially in price and marketcap.
Altcoins are not all in the exact same cycle, so the timing of each Altcoin bullrun will be different. Some will start early, some will start late.
And it will also depend of the perceived future value and use case(s) of each altcoin, to determine how much they rise.

and some coins have the same lowest point, you can see THERE, ERD, XLM, and others.
I saw the coin data in Coingecko and has experienced a very high increase over the past 4 months.

I think it will be very difficult for the market to return to the altcoin season because based on what is happening, the situation seems not good and certainly the crypto market will soon have a big adjustment in July.

Currently, I don't see any new news from Dogecoin, and this coin no longer developer so I'm not sure about the future of this coin. The altcoin season will only take place when Bitcoin price can return to $20,000 and you need to be patient for a while to see this.

Point of correction please, the altcoins season are here and many can't seem to experience this because they consider thousands and millions of altcoins to grow: this is something we can't achieve again. The past was the past and things have changed from the past, any altcoins that will experience any sign of bullish will be a project with serious team and a developing project. If that project was developed and not developing then forgets about it.

A few of the altcoins have gone up, such as Cardano and Chainlink. But then the overall picture remains dark. Almost all of the alts are anywhere form 80% to 95% down from the ATH levels reached two years back. Before the alts can go up, a market consolidation needs to occur. At least 90% of the shitcoins needs to die, so that the others can attract investment from the ordinary users and the whales.

Binance IEO launchpad has been pumping very hard, but in the initial run after that, it down trend as well. And as far as I can remember, even they delisted some of these coins already.

Of course some old coins could be pump as well, specially if the projects have been active during the bear market. There are a good chances that only some coins, specially in the top 10-20 will have a good price increase once there is a altcoin bull run this year or the coming years.

Altcoins are constantly falling or rising in price and it will always be so, but so far it’s invisible that altcoins will start to grow to those heights that were a couple of years ago, namely when Ethereum was worth 1k$, so we are all waiting when altcoins will show good growth.

Actually it is ETH that makes the difference now and some altcoins are following the trend while Bitcoin continues to gain Reddish while ethereum is greenish .

I don't really believe in Altcoin Bullying without Bitcoin doing it first so i will remain on that stand and look for the Bullying of bitcoin and i am sure altcoin will follow with the Lead of Ethereum.

Maybe we will not see it happen in a short time, but in the long term, I am sure that the altcoin will have the pump, and as we saw in 2017, we will see a big thing that will happen to the altcoins. For KMD and AION, maybe that project will have the time to increase, especially if the bull run can come in a short time. It's too late to enter into those coins who have been getting big pumps. It's better to search for the hidden gem that can become the next big thing. So many altcoins have been entering the alert zone as it can be dumped again anytime. We must be careful with this.

For now, the crypto market has begun to improve, even though the world is being hit by a COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that the crypto market can creep up again like at the end of 2017.

Real altseason will happen only after btc bull run

This is a great signal for us to expect the altcoin season to begin later this year. I bought quite a few altcoins a few months ago and hope it can bring me some profit when the year 2020 ends.

BTC has only small movements at the moment. the best moment actually for an altcoin to start small pumps. will be different when pump dominance occurs in bitcoin, altcoin might slow down a little. at this time hopefully, the growth of altcoin goes well.

But still, altcoin prices are still dictated by how high the price of bitcoin is the scenario that happens way back 2017 will not repeat itself but it might surpass it that is if bitcoin started to bullrun and reach a new heights.

There are only few altcoins that are gaining momentum and these altcoins are part of the highest market capitalization and daily volume. Most of the altcoins are still in bearish trend where it continuing to create lower lows and lower highs. If I will trade an altcoin, I think it is more good to trade ETH and some altcoin that have good liquidity. This short term momentum can be called as a good sign because in the past months, we saw a lot of dips and dumps.

You are right, momentum will still occur when bitcoin starts running pumps. but now altcoin is starting to prepare it. the altcoin market is getting stronger and trading is increasing. this is very interesting. I'm waiting for the response of bitcoin for the next month what will happen.

Many altcoins are bringing few profits but not enough to call it momentum, can't be compared to 2017 kinda altcoin season and I still belief that any future altcoin season will depend on how bullish Bitcoin gets

I also support Ethereum and I think that is the one which has a large impact.
I haven't seen the market of other coins but perhaps this is just another short bull run.

That is right the market has always been unstable, cause of that the price of cryptocurrencies is increasing or decreasing. It is so normal, it was really better than nowadays. l mean as you above mentioned ATH of ETH was 1.448.18$. But it is really so bad today, 4 times lower than ATH price. l hope it will change until the end of the year.

It's not bad to be honest, we are just sitting at the true price that ETH should be at its current development. The only reason why we reached that ATH was because of the hype and scam of 2017. Yep! lately, altcoins are looking quite stable. I mean they do fall whenever BTC makes a quick up or down move but they recover quickly (probably in a day or two). I heard a few saying that this is just a mini bull run the main bull run by the year-end.

What momentum? I don't see any, presently the coins that have better gains are all DeFi projects, some altcoins that increase are just recovery, about 10 to 15% gain, that's not momentum lol, we need altcoin season and Bitcoin is the only capable coin to start it.

In the top coins there are some which have stayed in the green zone for the most part like Chainlink, Tezos, Qtum, VeChain and Kyber. It looks like altcoins are slowly moving forward and heading to better times.

Look at the market now, no the altcoins are not slowly coming back. There is no indicator to show that altcoin comes back even the market trend doesn't look like it too. Just more tumbling as world news doesn't look good.

Agreed. The combined market cap for the cryptocurrencies have remained unchanged since the start of this year. While the exchange rate for Bitcoin has gone down, that for some of the other cryptos such as Cardano and Chainlink have gone up. But the overall picture for altcoin market remains gloomy. I couldn't see any big spike for coins such as Ethereum and Litecoin.

May be its actually  a season for Altcoin to moon , most of us have been waiting for this time expecting this moon . At that there are still alot of other Altcoins still below our entry point .crypto market is so unpredictable .

I think that if you are making a profit now, you need to fix it and not be greedy. the market is now not the same as it was at the end of 2017. it is difficult to predict when there will be a dump after growth

The opposite thing was happening with the market and almost all of coins were getting dumped due to the bitcoin correction on its price. I may think if we will not see a small growth that happens with bitcoin and crypto market. It's still not on its momentum.

The price of Bitcoin has a huge influence in the crypto market because any fluctuation of Bitcoin can determine Altcoin next trend. Over the past 2 months, Bitcoin has been fluctuating between $9000 and $9400 and hasn't had any major corrections, so I guess if Bitcoin can reach $10,000 soon, all altcoins will rise. Anyway, there is still a long way ahead and I continue to wait patiently until the altcoin season returns to this market.

It is not easy to divide the altcoins to shitcoins and good coins. Because there is another category, which is comprised of good coins with lazy developers. Yes big thanks to the recent tiktok challenge, the momentum on altcoins market is still continuing regardless of what happened at the same time period with twitter and the fame of cryptocurrency space. Some people are blaming for those hacker for spoiling the reputation of cryptocurrency space by hacking high level of celebrities' twitter account and using it to scam common people. I agree with them but it made people to know about cryptocurrency in notorious way.

We like that or not, I believe that must be one of the reason why we are still having continuous momentum when bitcoin market is not fluctuating much and trading too stable for more than two months of time. When there are continuous investors for whatever reasons then we will have continuous momentum which will be good for all cryptocurrencies in the end.

I didn't see any progress in the crypto market for the past two months,all we can see is price of every cryptos are increasing and decreasing then it keep repeating in the particular price region.Ethereum 2.0 and lot of factors bring bullish trend back but still we yet to wait for the catalyst to act as real bump to get the prices to next level.

These days when I check it looks like the whole market is asleep, it is not like they are going down so I can't complain about it but they are not going up neither, so it is a weird feeling of basically nothing at all, an absolute silence.

If this continues for too long I am pretty sure that people would not see this as a sign of anything, it has happened before and I am sure it will happen again as well but at the same time I feel like there must be some sort of situation where we are talking about a change eventually, like up or down but a change nevertheless, it is really not something I would really wish for anyone to just watch a price for all day so that it could move somewhere in order to make a profit, all those day traders must be going crazy or already quit and looking for something else.

At that time, the growth of altcoins was massive, but now the situation is somewhat different. One project or another shoots up. But there is not much point in comparing the market situation as of December 2017 and now.

Many of us have been waiting for moment like this one. It is good that altcoins are gaining momentum. I feel anything can happen from now on. I can't wait to see everything growing in prices. I miss out of 2017 but I am patiently waiting to see good market.

I do like the fact that altcoins are gaining good momentum, some reaching their all time high like LINK, ADA. It's been a major rally for most alts, and I'm happy to say I benefited in holding some altcoins like ANKR, ADA, VET, ERD. The big question is, what happens if BTC major move up begins, alts will fall in sats obviously. Just a little push for BTC recently saw alts bleeding.

I see only this option as a probable. Bitcoin starts growing, gaining 10-20% a day, after some time Bitcoin´s growth will be slowed down and investors switch from Bitcoin into altcoins and that will cause altcoins bull market :).

With lots of competitions and so many scammed its really difficult for alts to regained those old days, we need to keep
searching for real projects that have good value from this industry, not just a duplicate or another project that already
been offered from other developers, there's always opportunities it just take time and real effort to pick the right project.
Alts will grow in the sense of being well developed.

Very valid points here, now is time for altcoins, BTC time is coming. We just have to take advantage of the present market situation to make the most from alts. Imagine SYS pumped more than 200% just due to some FA. Many coins been moving with massive speed. Provided BTC keeps consolidating, altcoins will keep making good moves. Once BTC breakout, the reverse will be the case for most alts, even though ETH and BNB usually are not left out with BTC push.

Indeed there are some altcoins which have started growing up, unfortunately, not all of them but some of them has done it. l agree that it was more different in 2017 than in 2020. 2017 was the best year for crypto-world, everybody hopes that the market would be like 2017. But it seems the impossible cause of current problems. Maybe after some years, we can see that.

Many of the altcoin rally as you can see now there's a lot of project already pump specially the project that is working on defi they have huge amount of profit and many altcoins now is pimping so hard they say that it was the start of bull season when the alts would be the first place to run the bullrun and it was true they already making noise.

I would not call the situation on the market a recovery in altcoin growth. It is still very early to say this. Projects that have increased in price can be counted in one dozen, which can not confirm that the entire market is growing. Smart technology projects have the advantage now.

I am not sure this increase will last long, because several times the market shows growth like this and it seems difficult that the prices of bitcoin and altcoin can return to the price of that year, because in that year the prices of all altcoins experienced a high increase.

Where are you seeing it now? i can't even find where bitcoin is getting 10% - 20% increase in a day. In another side ethereum was the only major altcoin that is growing to the moon right now. Can you tell me about that?

This is possible for investors who dont see bitcoin as most valuable crypto compared to altcoins.

If you're planning to invest in alts better to use another capital rather than switching because diversifying is still best.

Currently the market is in green status, seeing the coins improving is better than only few coins are recovering.

It's been a long time here when i see a positive thread about altcoin market :) Altcoins are growing faster than Bitcoin. Altcoins dominance is going up against Bitcoin so i guess a new altcoins bull run will come soon.

As I know, the new coins will tend to increase more because these are options that investors are more interested in. I'm not sure when the altcoin season can return like 2017 but surely only new coins will be able to do this. In addition, there are many Defi projects currently appearing in the market and being a new investment trend, so I believe that if this trend continues, there will be many good investment options for you.

It is quite possible that altcoins will show themselves even better than bitcoin in the near future. Today ethereum is up more than seven percent to $ 262. yeah that's not impossible but at this point where most of people refer crypto as "bitcoin" it's gonna be a hard feat to achieve. the market capitalization might decrease for bitcoin but it's proven in the past that this kind of event not gonna last for long.

Indeed, today we can see a good rise in the price of ethereum - by 7.6 percent, while the price of bitcoin is growing 1.5 percent. Sometimes ethereum is late in the price movement for bitcoin. However, this coin is now well ahead of Bitcoin's growth. This is good news anyway, as the cryptocurrency market is completely green right now. Finally, our altcoins are on the rise.

Ethereum doesn't pegged with bitcoin to get a pump. Recently there was a very big news has come and that makes ethereum gets a big pump and the news was about the launch of ethereum 2.0 test net in the next month. In mt opinion any pump that happened have been getting affected by the news.

It caused by this year traders were not blindly pumping any token and mostly pumpers were pumping the token based on the what kind of update that has already published by the team. It's quite different with what's happening in 2017

Really different from what its like in 2017. Its like having an altcoin price correction with the price driven by the Defi projects, we might be able to see altcoin prices moving up faster and delay of bitcoin bullrun. 

Interestingly, some altcoins in the other platforms like WAVES, NEO and EOS are pumping.  I even participated to the new Defi project, now I have more than 5Million of its token that is worth $70 only. I hope to ptofit bigtime.

Try to look at the bitcoin and ethereum charts on the market today. almost looks the same doesn't it? I believe an update can make a pump. but in the current events, I'm sure it's because of bitcoin.

As for the search for projects, Avalanche raised $42 million based on the results of a public tokensale. And the project has a good background. I think that at least it can be added to the extended list for study.

That would be a great news indeed that Altcoins are starting to gain momentum despite of the presence of pandemic. This is a really great news to have specially this days. It was so nice to know that there are still sudden improvement on the prices of Altcoins since its been too long when the prices of Altcoins have gained some positive movement. It was just like when the Bitcoin price pumps at the month of January this year when Altcoins shows a positive response on its price and experience a sudden dip when the price of Bitcoin have been affected when the pandemic have started at the month of March in this year also. Good thing that at least now Altcoins are making its way to have such improvement on its prices which is a good indication and news most specially for Altcoin holders. May this positive momentum continue despite of the pandemic although cryptocurrencies are not that directly affected by the situation.

it will take another huge market adjustment for the altcoin market. bitcoin dominance is still high compare to altcoins. As predicted the current price movement shown by some altcons like ADA,VETCHAIN,CHAINLINK,KAVA, BAND PROTOCOL, the blockchain project Elrond and so many defi projects that caused the Market pump are benefactor.

Agree with your opinion, bitcoin dominance decrease is not significant and is still high compared to altcoins. 1 coin vs thousands of coin and still have dominance well above 50%. if altcoins really try to shine I think they should reach minimum of 50% market dominance.

With the current pumping rate of bitcoin and ethereum, there is no way altcoins won't keep gaining momentum, majorly for the past few years now, altcoins always follow the footstep of bitcoin, when btc dump, altcoins will dump, when btc is pumping, then surely altcoins will pump. Though soon I see alot of changes happening regarding the cryptocurrency market.

Altcoin market this week is doing great. Soon we will see explode some altcoin trend! This because btc is pumping and dumping not much and the capitalization of altcoins is increasing day by day

as we have seen, the current situation of the crypto market is getting better, especially BTC prices are starting to show their Exsitensi value again and have had a good impact on several other altcoins such as Eth, bnb, eos etc. The current market momentum can be used by investors or you if you have money then immediately invest with the top coins. I think this is a good opportunity before the market movement increases dramatically.

Hopefully this is a sign of a strong bullish season and finally usher in another era of crypto boom like we experience back in 2017/2018. The industry has waited long enough and in that time, a lot of people lost interest in crypto with some labelling it a sham and scam. A bullish season will help kick things back into shape and get everyone believing again.

The market is showing signs of going up in recent weeks and it can be seen that big coins are the options that most big investors trust more. I think investing only in coins like Ethereum, Bitcoin or BNB because these are 3 coins that can increase very high if the market still maintains large stability.
