Next bitcoin memorable dates

2021 - Bitcoin reaches a new All Time High of more than 20k USD
2024 - Next bitcoin reward halving
2025 - Bitcoin reaches 1 trillion USD market cap
2026 - BTC in circulation reaches 20 million
2027 - Bitcoin reaches maturity and adult age (18 years old). Maybe we will have Bitcoin version 1.0.2 by that time.
2049 - 99.9 % of the 21 million limit will be in circulation (20.9 million BTC)
2100 - History begins...

Obviously, many among these are hypothetical. We don't know if Bitcoin will reach new ATH in 2021 or ever (although it's reasonable to suppose that it will do so eventually). The marketcap also largely depends on the price, so this might not happen. As for other important dates, I'd add 2140 as the year by which all bitcoins will be mined. This is arguably more important than next halving. As for more hypothetical dates, it would be nice to see something like the date Bitcoin reaches 1 billion users or when Bitcoin becomes accepted as payment by major supermarket chains.

Nobody can predict the future but it is very possible bitcoin will reach all time high by 2021. Even if 2021 is not certain, before 2025 will never fail.

This is certain, after 630000 - 420000 (210000) blocks are mined, this will presumably occur next four years (2024)

There will be increase in bitcoin adoption and very certain bitcoin marketcap will reach $1 trillion, the price will increase also in relation to its marketcap. And we hope this will always favor miners to secure the blockchain. Bitcoin has been the first and will always remain the strongest.

Why do you think so? Besides pure speculation, there is no guarantee these will come true - although I'd be damn happy if they do.

Wow, and a while ago I used to think we wouldn't even be past 19M BTC until at least 2050. The fact that the max supply will be touched in so many years makes you first think it's going to be a long time 'till we get to it. ;D

Lets just hope this happens. Otherwise there are lot more posibilites for example, BTC dropping in market cap because its value got diluted over the time as part of inflation. Due to useless currency, becoming null due to another futuristic project. Anything can happen.

Hopefully mega mining projects don't fall and hashrate doesnt drop or it could be other way round, what if somebody finds another way to mine it more efficiently and faster, it could drop the timeline drastically.

History was made when Satoshi published the whitepaper, mined the genesis block, made the first transaction, and so on and so forth. History was made when Laszlo first made use of BTC as a real-world currency. History was made when $10/BTC was reached and also when it reached its ATH.

It won't take more long decades for Bitcoin to start creating history. From the very day it was created, from the very day it was released, history was already made.

Not sure if Bitcoin will reach all time high in 2021 as the current market conditions does not favour the speculations and we have seen a movement of fund transfer from Bitcoin to gold during this pandemic and I am sure the effect of pandemic will last for atleast another 2 years, so I am bit skeptical about any speculations about bitcoin reaching all time hight until the end of 2021 or first half of 2022.

I almost believed you, time traveler, but I doubt that Bitcoin will ever have a 1.0 release!

Bitcoin price is normal to increase and decrease in value, but over long time, increase is the net result. But like what you said, I do not think this is possible, bitcoin price cannot get to zero value. Only what would cause this will vanish the whole cryptocurrencies  like the end of the world.

Nobody can know about the exact day for the next halving, but about the mining hashes, if the hashes is increased, it will certainly reduce the halving time but the effect will not be so much because the mining algorithm is corrected every two weeks to make transaction completion in average of every 10 minutes.

You forgot the year when the forum gets a new style as promised. Maybe in 1-2 halvings it will  ;D

Let's leave talking about the rest of the dates because it seems far away and talk about the date closest to us, which is the year 2021, you say that the year 2021 will be the year of ATH for Bitcoin, of course I wish that, as well as all Bitcoin lovers, but given the deteriorating global economic situation currently I see it difficult to be the year 2021 is ATH bitcoin year, maybe if the world succeeds in containing the corona virus next year maybe 2022 will be the year of ATH.

I wonder why history will start on 2100 when its recorded already in every publication. But its destined that BTC will go all the way up thought and reaching more than $20K  had been foreseen already. In the year 2100, we could all be dead by then but I hope the history that will spread will not be framed to appear that Craig is the real one.

These are all hypothetical and over-estimated at best. There's a lot that could happen in between now and 4-5 years in ways that even the best algorithm modelling can't predict because the way I see things now everything and everyone is volatile. Despite this though I do have optimisms about BTC and crypto but more on the realistic side.

I suppose these predictions are best taken with a pinch of salt, and one can get as pessimistic or optimistic about the future as they please.

All of the dates you have mentioned are only predictions, there are no accurate predictions for every year because no one knows what will be the future of the cryptocurrency or even the world. All of it has no valid reason and evidence that it would happen in the future because if that true bitcoin will never be interesting because there is someone who can predict the price of the bitcoin for the next few days or years. It depends on you if you will follow all the predictions but don't believe too much and don't invest too much. Know your limits, investing is still risky.
Indeed, just like the bitcoin halving happened this year, some experts predicted that bitcoin will reach $13k but it was wrong because bitcoin only reach $10k.

2021 and 2025 are speculations including the newer version so that's based on his point of view. The rest are facts.

The next 5-7 years for bitcoin are going to be the most exciting ones, once we have seen the trillion market cap it can possibly become stagnant and stable in a manner that most people already know about bitcoin.

Just like what others said, you cannot predict the future price dude. If you are really serious about this then much better to stop it because other investors (especially emotional beginners) might be carried away and start now to sell what they had right now and hoard btc. Well, there's nothing wrong with investing. I'm just concern for them to believe on such "false" hope.
The previous years you mentioned aren't part of the history ;D? Kidding aside, I think 2100 is not the start, the past history will just continue until 2140 or more. Unless people lose their interest after all bitcoins finally mined.

Perhaps, these are all based on the patters of what bitcoin is showing up from the past few years. It is just kind of har to believe about predictions that are too good to be true in terms of the price of bitcoin in the future.

But still, it isn't impossible to happen, from a 2 digit market price of bitcoin, it jumped to a  digit market price in just less than 10 years. Bitcoin do really is unpredictable, in the end, the demand will be the same factor that will drive this price in to reality. So the faith is still in our hands, on how we can efficiently promote bitcoin to others.

Of course, bitcoin still has a lot of good things to do. The list seems quite real, but many events can affect both positive and negative aspects. Of course, I would like things to go only uphill, but only time will be able to show us what will happen next. Nowadays it is difficult to make such a plan in advance, but we must always hope for the best. Bitcoin will survive more than one generation and will give people great hopes and opportunities.

The only memorable dates on the list is the next bitcoin halving. The rest is pure speculation dates specially those All Time High, what makes it interesting is what would be the new All Time High? 2100? most of us wouldn't be here by that time and obviously won't witness what's going to happen to bitcoin then.

2030 - Big block-supporting merchants finally accept that Segwit, and batching saves the network participants hundreds of millions in fees annually, and has, after years, implemented it.

2200 - Court rules Craig Wright as truly Satoshi. The community still laughs.

Volatility is one of the memorable moments with bitcoin, this has been the nature of bitcoin decentralization. We're all traders and have encounter one disappointed from some trades, trading bitcoin has taught me a greater lessons that, don't put your eggs into one basket as that can destroy ones savings. The memorable moments is when bitcoin move beyond some limits and our profits are swiftly taking from bullish seekers.

Even all of us will just be part of that history in the future. I wonder if we can still see that or if we do, maybe we can't actually understand what is going on because we are all aged at that time.

Anyways, history was already made when bitcoin was made, every time that bitcoin reaches a new all-time high, it was already history that everyone will remember.

1.The possibility of a new Bitcoin ATH of more than 20K USD in 2021 is very small.The crypto whales,the army of HODLers and probably the BTC miners will start mass selling BTC,if the price goes above 15K USD,so the selling pressure will push the price down.
2.99.9% of the 21 million BTC will NOT be in circulation by 2049.Lots of BTC were and will be lost due to destroyed hard drives,forgotten passwords and owners tragically passing away without giving the BTC or revealing the passwords to their children.The amount of "sleeping" bitcoins just sitting forever in dormant wallets is going to grow.I don't consider those Bitcoins to be "in circulation".   
The amount of active Bitcoins in circulation is going to be way lower than 99,9%.

Only the halving is sure to happen in those memorable dates that you mention,
No one knows exactly when would we see another ATH on Bitcoin and we wouldn't be sure about the marketcap.
If everything could easily be predicted as you stated then we would all be rich before it even happen we could easily jump in before the big bounce happen and drop it off whenever we reach the price or profit that we want.

Ohh,you have a very wide imagination for the future of bitcoin. Well,who knows that will happen but predictions are always not happening. I think only Bitcoin halving is sure,the rest ,let's see. And ,the History of bitcoin already begin since the day it was created by Satoshi Nakamoto and imprints on peoples mind during 2018 when it reaches a record high value in the market and until now the bitcoin history continues for generations to come.

This is impossible to happen, bitcoin's value will never reach 0 in USD as it will forever have a value in the market. Some coins are relying on the price of bitcoin and they make it as the basis of their price. If bitcoin will reach 0 in USD then most probably other altcoins will also have no value in the market. Bitcoin have the highest price in the market, in 2021, it either increase its price or become stable or decrease, because we all know it is volatile in the market and in 2021, a lot of things can happen.


Right now, the history is on going, all of the activities in bitcoin can be a history that's why as soon as possible, we should hold and manipulate our bitcoin properly with a good decision making.

It is how it is lol. We must be ready to face what comes with it. There are days losses will come and there are also days when profit will come when you least expect it to happen. Right from the beginning Bitcoin hasn’t been the only thing I pursue, if it’s a loss, then I’m ready to take it and keep moving and when it’s profit, I’m happy.

Buying with a small percentage of my money is always must, because when the percentage you have pushed in is too much in a way that it will affect you when there is a loss, then you certainly have a problem and should deal with it.

Is this just a speculation or prediction? Well, there are several people that claim that BTC price will increase after halving not in 2020 but in 2021. Do you mean it is the same way that we should know? Probably it will be more interesting if you include the reason why BTC should hit its new ATH over $20k in 2021.
About the other dates, they may be true because they are calculated properly and also based on the schedule of the halving time and also its block rewards.

Damm I am just imagining bitcoin reaching 1b users. Nakamoto would be proud as fuck, alive or not, at that point his idea would have seriously reshaped the world.

I'd suggest adding

2050 Bitcoin reaches USD $1m.

Historically it always took Bitcoin until the year after the halving before seeing some serious price action, presumably that's why everyone's looking at 2021 rather than 2020.

Whether history will repeat itself is anyone's guess though.

At the point where the USD is fucked enough for Bitcoin to reach 1MM we'll probably start denominating Bitcoin's value in Big Macs rather than fiat.

Before with higher price predictions, it's hard to believe as well. And like us, we don't want to believe with such high claims until we see it and it comes one day.

Yes, those things are possible but as much as we want to see it, we don't want to expect with high prices and chooses to be realistic with the price. That's why when someone chose not believe with high speculations, you will understand why.

As for today, we are expecting the market price of the bitcoin reaches and beat the previous market price of the coin from the recent years of the coin from 2016-2017 the bitcoin rises and also this year the market price of the bitcoin goes to the moon and many people making an investment because they know the capability of the coin to get more market income. Today with the year 2020 the halving is already up and the block cut into half which is a good thing we have right now. And form the previous months the market price of the bitcoin comes into over 10k dollars which is a good improvement but now we are on the lowest market price again which is the 9.1k dollars.



This event really will happen because every four years the halving or cutting the block into half, recently there are a lot of miners selling their funds immediately because they experience a large amount of loss to their part because it is not enough to them.

On the next prediction of OP, I think it is quite impossible because those are a large number of numbers and also the bitcoin is already well known and some of them are already having a good market used of the bitcoin as for the business and investment which is a good thing to do.

Except the halving dates every other date is just a speculation. There in no guarantee that it will happen and no one can guarantee it. I have read and heard so many prediction on Bitcoin and I have noticed most them turned out to be a hoax.

Probably in that time, people will still not know who Satoshi Nakamoto is. Bitcoin can do a lot of things and is really unpredictable so maybe in that long span of years, its price increase than we can imagine. It is impossible for the bitcoin's price to have a value of 0 in the market as it became the most used and popular cryptocurrency that regulates in the market. There are a lot of improvements that can happen in the bitcoin if we have an optimistic point of view towards bitcoin.

I think still possible that the bitcoin will reaches over this 20k USD mark because there is a chance that the number of the people who support the use of the bitcoin may increase becayse they want to use the digital currency, also today with the pandemic outbreak most of the people want to use the online payment which is the bitcoin are included and this is a good time for the bitcoin to make a new image.

Such things are actually very easily verifiable because what is an immutable constant is the halving that happens every 210 000 blocks, and the fact that with each new block there is less and less BTC left for mining. Consequently, 4 years after the current halving, 19 687 500 will be mined, and sometime between 2028 and 2032 we will reach the amount of 99% of all mined BTC.

Those who are able to think ahead know how important is to be in the right place at the right time, and I think the price of $10 000 in 8-10 years will be something people will regret, just as they regret missed opportunities 5 or 10 years in the past.

These are just random dates and events that are not backed up by any analytics. Any of us can write our own "version" of the development of upcoming events, but they will not have any value.

Hopefully your prediction is true and come true, it will definitely end with a happy ending. In my opinion we also need to predict possibilities
the worst that will happen to Bitcoin. Sometimes our desires can not all be realized, it's not me become pessimistic. But indeed like that reality

I find it difficult to agree that bitcoin will reach 20k. We will most likely see a 12k price at the end of this year.

Hopefully It's not just a prediction that 100% will happen. This is the dream of everyone involved with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is reaching the top of popularity. Only if the predictions are correct everyone's dream is fulfilled. Let's see what happens in the end.

All of those years mentioned are not proven because all are only hypothetical. There are many things that could happen that will affect the date of those events. Ther is no person who can predict the things that will happen in the future. We all have our own standard or basis on the events, it will only differ on what will we trust. Anyway, I am hoping that all those events will happen it would benefit us a lot.

I think the most important upcoming date for bitcoin is the year 2140, when the last block is produced, and the number of bitcoin has reached 21 million bitcoin. As for the rest of the dates, they are only expectations that can be fulfilled, and perhaps not.
As for the frequent change in value, this is inevitable when it comes to currency stability. The more bitcoin, the lower the value, the lower the currencies, the better. This is a fact, and this is something familiar to all sorts of things.

Of course, those dates are just a prediction and there is no one who can prove it because no one can travel through time. There are really a lot of things that might happen, and maybe these predictions will really happen and not at the same time.

It was great to see your predictions by sharing them within a year. If that happened then it would change the lives of all Bitcoin users. All Bitcoin users hope it happens. But it remains to be seen whether your ideas will materialize or how long it will take.

That is such a long list for the future advancement of Bitcoin. Ever thought of Bitcoin being recognized by the government? Because that would also be a memorable date for Bitcoin since they will recognize the Cryptocurrency Industry as well. Those years are too far ahead and we should just stay focused on what are the current situations that can advance or promote Cryptocurrencies.

Hopefully , we'll be able to see new ATH and i won't be surprise of that. Like others, i'm also waiting for that. Just want to see more adoption for Bitcoin and crypto in every industry.

Memorable dates are not necessary. Because every day something happens, of course, not so often something significant happens, but we need to go only forward.
