The Twitter accounts that have been hacked are Binance, CZ Binance, Gemini, Coinbase, KUCOIN, Justin Sun, TRON Foundation, Charlie Lee, etc. I just can't believe how these hackers accessed their Twitter accounts. My goodness!!!

Has anyone encountered these tweets from the hackers using these accounts I've mentioned above?

^ Have you tried to click the link given? I did not attempt to click because probably we will have a malware infection as the comment of the tweet said.
It is look like all major crypto companies twitter accounts has been compromised this day and keep promoting the said content by the OP given.
Nevertheless, we can conclude yet what was exactly happen, unless also the twitter company will explain this scamming attempt.

I have also seen such words, and i implore everyone to totally avoid such tweets; avoid all links as it is not safe, Even Elon Musk twitter account is requesting for bitcoin to be sent to a particular account which means it has also been hacked. Hopefully newbies adhere and avoid those links. I think it is a twitter problem, and hopefully it gets fixed soon before it causes mayhem in the crypto currency world.

No, I haven't but this is now THE BIG NEWS. With this info you'd expect the TWT stock market to plunge though somehow the market is maintained, probably because the market is closed (US stock and market hours)  ??? In any case, this may be a third party breach not directly through twitter so the plunge may not be all that great. Maybe there's still some window of opportunity here

Almost all of the twitter exchange sites account from major exchange sites have already hacked. So many awareness have already made by the big parties like cz and it's not only it. It looks like twitter's database getting hijacked.

I don't understand their link whether they are spreading panic or anything to commit a crime.
I consider this a crime that was committed neatly and planned.

I have not login in my twitter account for several days, I log in hours earlier and still had my account it seems the hacked are targetted and they have an intention to do that to promote these scam projects, Twitter will have a lot of explaining to do, it just shows and reflects that Twitter is not safe and we need not store our important information there.

It's not just them but prominent figures like Elon Musk and Joe Biden got hacked. Even Apple was hacked to post the message. This simply shows that the hackers utilized vulnerability in Twitter themselves. It has nothing to do with personal security of those people and company. It's a huge blow for twitter as the hacker still can hack any accounts at will.

Even Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos, Bill gates, Micheal Bloomberg and Kayne West has been hacked. The hacker can hack any account they want.
The hackers are said to have changed the email and taken full control of the accounts. It shows how vulnerable are our social contacts. This is indeed a failure by company like Twitter. It would certainly make people look away from twitter into something safer and to something that can't be faked by an imposter.

Twitter now have suspended those accounts from making twitts and has deleted the previous twitts made by the hacker. They are still accessing the extent of hack and discussing how to handle the situation. Many of the experts has claimed this hack to be the most serious one the internet and social media has ever had. It's just devastating to the trust of twitter.

I have seen lot of youtube accounts got hacked in the recent days and seen the same 5000 BTC giveaway scam video gets live telecasted at the same time on every hacked account and this video still going on some account and I feel the twitter hack also executed by the same hackers.But the accounts will be retreived soon from the hackers until that these platforms need to give some warning about the hack on the respective platforms to save their customers from falling in to this scam.

The hackers have stolen more than 12 BTC.

the total balance in the wallet is now only BTC0.00907371. it looks like the hacker has moved all the money collected before and this is very crazy :o

Surely no one will ignore this and this wallet address will always be monitored daily so finding an attacker will be very easy. I think Twitter should raise the level of security because without doing this, there will be many attacks in the future. I am also very sad for the lost but hope that this will be a valuable lesson in their lives and it is best not to trust anyone.

It is alarming that twitter accounts of numerous prominent people in crypto had been hacked. This could be used to trick other people. That is why it is better to be vigilant in whatever we do or read on social media. I hope twitter will do something g about this and trace the hacker. They also need to have stricter security since twitter is also used by crypto enthusiasts in spreading news and updates about crypto.

I believe everything should be normal by now as Twitter has responded hugely to it. It seems this is a hacker association attack. Never experienced something of this nature. Twitter need to do more in security wise.

Thought it was a joke yesterday when I started seeing the scam giveaways popping up but after seeing on binance too I knew something is wrong with twitter, honestly when it comes to security Twitter got none, too weak and vunerable to attacks, I hope people don't fall for that trick

This is really big. How they targeted big names and corporation. I read somewhere it was done by a former twitter staff who fell out with the company. Really not good. I also saw on YouTube similar link attach to some Vitalis videos requesting for BTC. I just knew it was fake. How YouTube allow such tonne on its site surprised me.

This is a devastating hacking event in the history of twitter. Thankfully the hacker was fool enough to write only one sentence on each page or else there will be lots of victims. Thankfully there are people who quickly recognize it as a spam message and know that it's not from the actual page. but there are some people who fell victim to this post on each page. let's just hope that they won't be another hacking attempt on the other social media page. Twitter has damaged its reputation and the problem here is they will put it all to the crypto industry.

I just like the fact that crypto investors are now smarter, I believe if someone had to fall for that trick it would be someone who have no experience about crypto space at all, those hackers would leave with pennies I'm sure but there is no way to know, let's keep protecting ourselves, it's very important

It is clear that it was hacked and they are just aiming to get some crypto from all the desperate people right now.
But we should really be careful on the links that we would visit just like what others have said it could have some malware or anything else.

I also read some crypto news in the morning that got many big names personalities have been hacked by their twitter accounts and they are now reporting it and spreading mass awareness not to engage on that scam tweets made by the hackers. I also read some news that they using different wallets and one wallet that already bags of $59,000 worth of bitcoin. With this incident, twitter will be more strict on wards for sure for security reasons and hoping this will not be an issue on other users as well.

It is inconceivable that Twitter has not immediately improved security protocols on their platforms, because everyone around the world has been using the Twitter platform for various purposes, both business and personal.

Yeah, popular figure got hacked aswell. they got hacked not because they got phished or something else but because there's in hole in twitter system and it's actually such a huge issue because a twitter account could be very important when the followers are already millions and could potentially be misused. People should really rethink about their decision being in that platform.

Wonder what's going on the mind of those hackers. If a bug that big, I'm sure Twitter would pay big bucks and chance to future work in the industry. I have not used twitter since it got hacked 2 years ago i just know how weak the security features of Twitter so it's not really surprising to me, the Crypto community need a twitter like service to serve the community and don;'t just rely to a centralized sites like Twitter and Facebook because of this hacking so many investors are losing money.

Most of those crypto investors learned from past experiences, though there are still newcomers who are still prone being caught.


Someone who are not doing their homework before releasing their money are mostly become a victims.


It's a must to protect yourself while you are actively participating to this market, never to follow any promises that's too good to be true.

It would be nice to find out how they hack all of these accounts, the only way how hackers get access to the accounts is a phishing attack and if it confirms, then there would be more problems in the future. The last big phishing attack cost Binance around 40 million USD, so it would be nice to predict hacker´s move.

Crypto investors are now smarter than before and these kind of scams will not work for them although I believe that there are some who got fall into this kind of scamming.

In my part, I will not fall into this kind of scam even though it came from a popular person like Bill Gates or Elon Musk or anybody related to crypto. For some investors out there, think twice before making a decision. Coming from a popular person doesn't mean that it is legit already especially now that hacking is being done more frequently. The security system of these platforms must upgrade too as hackers are also evolving.

Just like OP posted, they targeted the social media accounts of those crypto companies that is surely followed by many people. Even if it is suspicious to most of us, there are still some people who will fall from this trap.

Twitter's reputation going to be collapsed after this incident. Severe them right to try to be a political correctness place for snowflakes. Did they recently try to use a more "correctly" term in the programming language like "blacklist" to become "allowlist" because of poc? Gee, if they spent their human resource toward secure their system then they won't be in a hot spot right now.

It's still become a big question and some crypto platforms have already offered the bounty to discover the hacker or try to reveal the identity of the hacker. Twitter must also learn a lot from this case as so many people were getting big loss.

Twitter is hevaily liable on this matter. If they were to switch to a decentralized micro-blogging platform where private keys are the only method to access, this wouldn’t have happened!

it was rumored that the hacker was able to access one of the twitter admin account control panel after his account got hacked. the method on how the attack was made is still unknown. possibly using an Email scams in which the admin failed for it. we awaits for more news on that issue. it is a surprise that people still fall for such scam.

I consider such offers unrealistic and therefore do not click on such links. But there are also those who fell for this scam. I saw such information that hackers managed to get 0.7BTC. This is not a lot of money when compared to the fact that a lot of well-known accounts were involved in this scam.

I'd never click the link either for security reasons and much better not to try it anymore.

This huge hacking of twitter accounts is really alarming and it really affects the reputation of known personalities whos account has been a victim to this surprise. This is an unusual thing but hackers likely to join the Guinness world of records...

Really? That's shocking news! However, I think people with experiences will not believe in those tricks. Americans usually say "too good to be true". I don't think a lot of people with understandings, knowledge, experience about this cryptocurrency market will fall into this trick. However, there are many people who don't know about the risk of being scammed in this market, they probably will be fooled!

We've been seeing that method of scam and anyone who actually fell for that is extremely greedy. How on earth will anyone for instance think Bezos will request for BTC from followers, promising to double it? Any wise person who is not carried away by greed should easily spot the scam attempt. However, Twitter should tighten their security it should serve as a call to upgrade.

The toll is now more than 12 btc although new transactions have now stopped coming and the person responsible have already emptied the wallet. This can be the biggest blunder on Twitter's side as this can't be caused by a single person screwing up, then only a single account would have posted this endorsement. I guess the Twitter database have been leaked and for now the hacker group is only targeting the verified accounts for maximum earnings possible.


This can be a good alternative, but in case of leak of private key there won't be recovery possible and I don't think that one will be able to recover that account from the control of hacker and also wouldn't be able to block the attacker from accessing the account since login only uses private key of the user.

Although I agree on twitter's fault to let such a vulnerable on their system but still, why would anyone still gullible and fall for a scam like that?

This incident  is different since they are using the real account of those popular crypto exchange and know personality in crypto or in real life. They can easily fools their supporters for posting it in their own channel. That kind of news  should spread immediately before many people will deposit on that address and scam many of the their supporters.

Looks like Twitter is not so secured to have an account there since its vulnerable to hacking like this which can be a big problem in the future for personal use Twitter account  for updates.




You also can't blame them because the tweet came ifrom a legitimate account and not from  a dummy that's why they trusted it.

The address he used for make a message is Vanity Address Bitcoin, as you can see on the image he try to make a fud on bitcoin and promoting Monero on this case. What's do you think about this?

I just saw on the news a lot of Twitter accounts in hacks not just for crypto twitter accounts but big account names are also hacked to be able to reopen their twitter account, they have to pay some bitcoin and that's really cruel

Billgate's account was also getting hacked by kirk. As far as I know, if the hacker named kirk was the main party who has been hijacking the internal software of twitter and then they were changed the email of the hacked accounts for with his email.

This looks more like it because it was surprised at how possible that could be. The accounts in question here are big accounts of big people in the crypto space. Well, we are just seeing these names because they are the ones that concern us most in the space we are in. I am sure that there are so many other accounts that would have been hacked.

We must be careful to click any links because that is not guaranteed to feel safe from the hackers. There will be other things that the hackers will search for the next target because they can explore the bug to find the benefits for them, and they are smart enough to see the other bug. Twitter needs to improve its security if that is from their website, and the other side needs to be cautious from the hacker.

I don't know for sure what the cause is but from some information from other forums saying that there is someone who has a friend who works at the company and hacks but I don't know the details. But there are also those who say that employees of these companies sell data to someone, and in my opinion this is very logical. From this case I learned also about the types of malware that might be able to do that and the method.

This is a really big hack, a verified account and has a large following hacked by the same person or group. This also made me suspicious of people on Twitter. But this incident really made a lot of people suffer losses, of course many would be interested if Bill Gates and other hacked accounts make tweets that can double the money with a system like that. If I saw it at that time it might also be interested in sending.

We often join various platforms using Twitter accounts. In my opinion, this is the basic source that makes Twitter accounts hacked by certain parties.
