Title: Bitcoins stuck in wallet? (moved post here)
Post by: btcjoe12345 on July 22, 2020, 08:49:02 AM
Hi,

I'm using the BitWallet app on my iPhone and yesterday deleted my old address and made 2 addresses of the P2PKH (Legacy) and the Segwit-P2SH type. I sent money to both addresses from Coinbase and both transactions have around 100 confirmations yet I still can't send this money forward anywhere from my wallet. When I try to send it says insuffucient funds and "no inputs".

On the "ledger" tab I have around 100 confirmations for both in the app but there is an "unspent" tab that says 0 confirmations for both. And when I try to send that shows 0 confirmations again.
I tried to create another small transactions and a new address recently but the problem still persists. I deleted the app and reimported my addresses by their keys but same issue again. I simply can't  move my money anywhere.

Do you guys have any idea what's going on? Or how to resolve this issue?
This is really not nice and I've never seen anything like this.

Are you sure you haven't already made an outgoing transaction that is just waiting to confirm? The mempool is quite backlogged at the moment. That would explain why one tab is showing a transaction with zero confirmations and saying you have "no inputs".

Are you also sure you have the private keys for these addresses, and not just the public keys? If you do have the private keys, you can just import them in to a better wallet (one that is open source) and make the transaction from there.

A quick check on BitWallet shows that it a custodial wallet so the use if private keys importation is out of the picture.

We cant because you dont help us with the informations we need to help you.

how to resolve this issue?

The only way to resolve this issue is by you providing us the transaction ID you got from coinbase when you sent transaction to your Bitwallet or your Bitwallet address because you might have successfully send the transaction from your Bitwallet not knowing.

I have answered most of your questions on your previous thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5263762.msg54846833#msg54846833). Please help us with more information to identify your problems like bitcoin address or transaction id if you don't have problems with your privacy. If your transaction completed on coinabse then there should be transaction id which will provide accurate data regarding your problems. Since Bitwallet is a custodial wallet so most likely they have their system to accept bitcoin, who knows how much confirmation required to deposit on your account. As far as I know, they have a few bad reviews on Google Play Store. Few similar problems happen with them. You might put a review there about problems. Hope it will be solved soon.

Please lock your  previous thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5263762.msg54846833#msg54846833) to avoid deletion.

Without the tranx Id, it would not be possible to analyze the problem. With the transaction ID it will be easy to locate where exactly are the Bitcoin. If you have the transaction ID then go to Blockchain.com and check whether the Bitcoin have already reached your wallet. If it has then contact your wallet support with the details.

There is no way to delete an address.  Blockchain is open and immutable.

Can you give us the transaction I'd?

If not, I would just try to recover 5he funds in electrum

Download from electrum.org, insert your seed and recover your funds.

Are you actually able to provide some screenshots of the Wallet screens/tabs? ???

It isn't very clear from your description what is actually happening with your app and/or any transactions you make have received/made. :-\
