What is MDT?

MDT is a cryptocurrency of the Monolithos DAO network. MonolithosDAO is an Ethereum blockchain smart contract platform. The goal of the project, built on the principle of a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), is to create stability in the world of decentralized things. This stability is implemented through MDT — an ERC-20 standard token, which allows you to use it in all the most popular Ethereum wallets (Metamask, Mist, MEW, etc.).

How many MDTs are there in the system?

At the time of signing the MonolithosDAO protocol, a total of 1 million MDTs existed. To find out how many MDTs currently exist, check out the MDT Token Contract on Etherscan. The total number of existing MDTs may vary depending on how the system works. For example, the total volume of MDT may increase if the system is deficient and needs to be diluted with MDT as a source of recapitalization. If the system is properly managed, the total MDTs will decrease as the MDTs are destroyed in exchange for an excess of MCR from the system surplus.

Crypto Ruble? So, it will be token wich will be backed by the Russian ruble?

MCR tokens are secured by a collateral, which can be any Ethereum-based asset approved by MDT token holders. More information can be found in the White Paper on the website https://monolith.money/white-paper

Crypto ruble? Is this the official cryptocurrency of Russia?  ;D

No, this is a coin that is issued by the decentralized platform Monolithos DAO, which runs on smart contracts of the Ethereum blockchain.

MCR token sale is live? Can I buy tokens now?

Now it is MDT tkensale is live - so you can buy MDT tokens (it is management token). MCR can be issued with the provision of ETH and WBTC now, but now our goal is to create a community that will manage the system using voting and management tokens.

The Monolith team should rectify this plagiarized whitepaper and with the red trust that he's getting, potential investors will be discouraged to check this project. Since it is obvious that they copied their whitepaper, then, what's new on this project? I hope this is not another Russian scam.

What’s a fork, can someone explain to me? Is it a copy?

No. Project fork happens when developers take a copy of source code from one software package and start independent development on it, creating a distinct and separate piece of software (Wikipedia). This is exactly what we did!

The Monolith is a copy of MakerDAO and we do not hide it. The difference is in the currency that the stablecoin is linked to. In our case it is the ruble. In MakerDAO - the dollar.

you shouldn't copy evrything from them even you are fork that project, that would be alright if you only fork their concept but its not very good to copy their content and put it as your Whitepaper even your concept are fork of Maker DAO , you should make it diffrent and write your own whitepaper, only scam shit project are copy other projectt content and whitepaper because its easy work to do for scammers. be creative and write whitepaper by yourself and not copy the Maker DAO whitepaper LoL.

I can't figure out what the problem is? It's one case when a project presents itself as unique and copies another project's WP and quite another when a project just a fork. They talks about it. IMHO this is no plagiarism

The problem is they are copy whitepaper from Maker DAO and put it website as their whitepaper, is that good for you?

It is not a problem for me, because this project is a MakerDAO fork. If I understand correctly, technically the coin identical MKR, the only difference is in the currency to which the stablecoin is tied. In this regard it is not clear to me where is uniqueness. And if i correct you say what they need unique WP (for not unique coin) - so you think they needed spend money and time to rewrite the existing document in pursuit of uniqueness? Do you think it is good idea if the technical solution is the same?

USD is an international monetary unit that is understood and known to everyone. The ruble is a settlement instrument within Russia. What's the point? Or is it a government cryptocurrency?

No, Monolith is not a government project. But you are partly right - our project is aimed at the Russian market and at traders who use ruble pairs. In general crypto ruble is made for simple and direct arbitration among p2p platforms and exchanges, so that you can safely store the ruble outside of digital payments system and banks. Also we want give people simplified access to DeFi and help them to figure out how it all works.

you shouldn't copy evrything from them even you are fork that project, that would be alright if you only fork their concept but its not very good to copy their content and put it as your Whitepaper even your concept are fork of Maker DAO , you should make it diffrent and write your own whitepaper, only scam shit project are copy other projectt content and whitepaper because its easy work to do for scammers. be creative and write whitepaper by yourself and not copy the Maker DAO whitepaper LoL.

If they don't want to create their own whitepaper, they should have just put a reference link to the Maker DAO platform. I am not against with copying someone else's work, because that's very common in blockchain projects. I don't think every one of them started from scratch. But if you want to use somebody's work, just include the right references along with your copied statements.

Do you use Makerdao oracles or your own?

We use MakerDAO oracles. The modules Feed and Relayer. The Feed asks for the price and the Relayer delivers this price to the contract.
Feed takes the median from prices from different sources (direct ETH/RUB pair or calculate the price of ETH/USD median (USD/RUB).
Sources for ETH/RUB: binance; cryptocompare; exmo
Sources for ETH / USD: bitstamp; coinbase; gemini
Sources for USD/RUB: exchangeratesapi; cbr; ratesapi

Many people trade cryptocurrency on p2p. Many people are used p2p services for a number of reasons – verification, volume, rate... We expect that when DeFi appears on the market, the ruble will become also a full-fledged means of accumulation.

Advantages of Owning MDT, MonolithosDAO Network Management Token

Monolithos, the developer of the DAO-based stablecoin MCR, the first decentralized cryptoruble on the Ethereum blockchain, launched its network management coin MDT tokensale June 20. The initial distribution of 300,000 MDT tokens will last until August 10. At the second stage, the team will create an MDT/ETH pair on the Uniswap decentralized exchanger, providing it with ethers enough for MDT token initial price to start from $0.4. The second stage begins on August 3.

What is the purpose of the internal Monolithos token?

The Monolithos token (MDT) is a system management token. You can use it in two different ways.

The primary purpose of MDT is the right to vote in the system. It is the voting system that makes Monolithos a truly decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). MDT holders have the right to vote on any issue. For example, the community has the right to revise the maximum debt ratio or shut down the entire system in an emergency. This mechanism is an essential component of Monolithos resiliency.

What financial bonuses can MDT owners claim?

First, DAO participants can buy back crypto assets for MDT at a below-market price. These assets appear as a result of a fine for selling off the collateral. They can be purchased for MDTs at internal auctions of the platform. The collateral liquidated due to the fall in the value of ether is sold for MDT tokens at a separate auction and costs 5-10% less than its market value. I.e., the owner of MDT has a chance to buy cryptocurrencies cheaper than the market price.

Second, after each asset purchase, the MDT tokens that are paid for them are burned, reducing the total amount of MDTs, and naturally increasing their price. The amount in MDT paid for cryptocurrency on the auction is automatically burned, which creates a deficit.

How does this happen? Burning tokens encourages the growth of their value. The MDT value is divided up to 18 decimal places, meaning that as long as at least one MDT token exists, the system allows you to trade one quadrillion rubles without any need for an additional issue. You can also increase the number of decimal places in the future, which removes the risk that the MDT will ever run out: the number of tokens burned will gradually decrease as their value increases.

Third, the MDT token owner can earn money by selling the asset during the second stage of the token sale, when MDT will be added to the listing of the Uniswap exchanger. By investing MDT in liquidity on the decentralized Uniswap platform, you can earn commissions for the exchange. Also, the more tokens are redeemed on Uniswap, the higher the cost of MDT rises. You can buy coins on presale and sell them on Uniswap in a couple of months, getting a profit.

The mechanics of raising the value of an asset when selling on Uniswap are as follows. An ether/token pair is created on the platform; when purchasing a token in this pair, its quantity always decreases and the price increases in its turn. As a result, those who managed to buy coins before others can get significant profits — x2-3 or even more.

MDT owners can make technical changes to the MonolithosDAO protocol and participate in project management. You can learn more about the rights and obligations of the MDT token holders on our website, but we welcome any activity from potential project participants. MDT owners who are interested in actively participating in the management of the MonolithosDAO can refer to the voting Guide to learn how to get started in this direction.

The main question at the moment is what will happen if the cost of collateral ether falls, for example, by 2-3 times. And how participants will earn money from this.

If the value of the collateral to the MCR loan amount is less than 125% (this percentage is chosen by the owners of the MDT token), the flip auction will start.

During the flip auction, the collateral of the liquidated storage is put up for sale for MCR. auction participants have the opportunity to buy cryptocurrency cheaper than the market price.

+ A penalty of 7% (also selected by the owners MDT) and over time, the fines formed by the MCR surplus in the system and that MCR will be sold at auction flap, which sells MCR for tokens MDT (MDT owners will be possible to buy MCR cheaper than market price), all MDT received at auction is burnt and this naturally raises the price on MDT (Provision remains the same, the number decreases MDT)

Explain what the person who issues the MCR and leaves a Deposit in the ether, which exceeds the current value, thinks. What is the profit? After all, you can just buy MCR on the exchange.

To save the cryptocurrency without selling it. For example, you have 1 bitcoin, you pawn it and get rubles for a year. A year later, your pawned cue ball makes X10, and you give the rubles and get a profit.

Are there any calculations of the return on investment in MDT? What are the   possible dates?

The team will make every effort to ensure that the MDT does not fall below the sale price. We hope the price will grow by 15-20% during the year , but there may be sharp movements on the uniswop and you can catch x2-x3

Will be any MDT tokens release after the presale and uniswap sales?

Tokens are released in limited quantities and will not be released again. The total number of tokens on sale is 1,000,000

+ A penalty of 7% (also selected by the owners MDT) and over time, the fines formed by the MCR surplus in the system and that MCR will be sold at auction flap, which sells MCR for tokens MDT (MDT owners will be possible to buy MCR cheaper than market price), all MDT received at auction is burnt and this naturally raises the price on MDT (Provision remains the same, the number decreases MDT)

how are the parameters being regulated now, are they already controlled by the owners of MDT, or are some basic ones laid down by the developers?

Yes, basic from the developers, since the community is currently being formed and there have been no  votes' yet

The management can issue additional MDTs by voting?

no. This is stated in the contract and vote does not affect it.

MDT owners have the opportunity to make technical changes to the MonolithosDAO protocol and ratify on-chain decisions on non-technical issues, whether it is changing system parameters or deciding to adopt a new management philosophy. To learn more about managing the MonolithosDAO protocol, visit the Management FAQ. MDT owners who are interested in actively participating in MonolithosDAO protocol management can refer to the Voting Guide to find out how to get started.

I do not understand how the volume of trading on p2p platforms, where people withdraw money for a living, where you can only pay in rubles, is related to the consideration of the ruble as a means of accumulating funds.

On p2p platforms, people not only conclusion, a living, but also keep liquidity for trading and earning money.

And the MDT token can be invested at a percentage? Or is it purely for trading and management?

Although technically, MDT can be used as collateral, there are reasons why this is undesirable.

MDT is intended to be used as a recapitalization source for the protocol. This means that the MDT acts as collateral of last resort to absorb losses that exceed the expected losses from the collateral contained in the vaults. If MDT is used as the first instance collateral, i.e., as collateral secured in the vaults, this will deprive it of effectiveness as collateral of last resort.

A negative feedback cycle will occur in the scenario when a fall in the price of MDT will cause the liquidation of the vaults provided by MDT, which will subsequently cause downward pressure on MDT price. While liquidation pricing pressure is a risk applicable to any type of collateral, systemic risk using MDT is potentially higher, since a drop in the price of MDT directly reduces the amount available for the recapitalization of all types of collateral under the MonolithosDAO protocol. The downward spirals in the MDT price also make the MonolithosDAO protocol more vulnerable to management attacks, making the cost of buying enough MDT to vote for an attacker-friendly change more affordable. Besides, if both systemic bad debts and MDT repositories were liquidated at the same time, they would become self-repairing, increasing the risk of a severe fall in the value of MDT and reducing its effectiveness as collateral of last resort.

Finally, there is the circular funding argument. The value of MDT is related to the total amount of MCR in circulation. An additional MCR generated from MDT storages will create a positive feedback cycle concerning the price of MDT, which will create even more MCR from these storages. This behavior increases systemic risk.

What opportunities to earn do MDT token holders have?

1.Participation in Flap auctions
2.Earnings on the MDT rate relative to ETH. Since with the correct
when managing the system, the more frequent auction should be Flap, when when the number of issued tokens decreases, which is natural this way increases the price of the token.

Can the MDT token, when diluted, cover all MCRs if their cost becomes zero?

An event in which the Collateral asset loses all value is considered a Black Swan, which is defined as an unprecedented, unexpected, and catastrophic situation. It makes it very difficult to predict the likelihood of severe threats to the system. There is no guarantee that the dilution of MDT will always be sufficient.

Diluting MDT can recapitalize the system to a specific limit. It is crucial to consider the severity of the situation. If it is high enough, MDT holders may consider an emergency shutdown appropriate, which will result in the MCR being proportionally eligible for the protocol manufacturer's software portfolio.

Holders of MDT tokens have a chance to buy MCR, which are generated as a result of the penalty for selling bail. And the price for them, in this case, will be as much 5–10% lower than the market price!

You're confusing MCR and MDT

I thought this was about the crypto ruble

So it is, but the tokensale was MDT

What is MDT?

MDT is a cryptocurrency of the Monolithos DAO network. MonolithosDAO is an Ethereum blockchain smart contract platform. The goal of the project, built on the principle of a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), is to create stability in the world of decentralized things. This stability is implemented through MDT — an ERC-20 standard token, which allows you to use it in all the most popular Ethereum wallets (Metamask, Mist, MEW, etc.).

Dmitriy Kryshtal, CBDO of Monolithos DAO, gave a speech at an online conference titled “DeFi: Instruction Manual”

The conference, organized by an online publication Forklog, took place on September the 29th, 2020. At the event, speakers discussed the recent trends, market outlook as well as the challenges facing the decentralized finance sector. They also answered the main question: how to earn money with DeFi? In fact, this is the topic that Dmitriy Kryshtal covered in his speech. If you’re trading on CeFi platforms and are having difficulty working with rouble, the MCR token is for you. With this token the authors of Monolithos DAO have given those who trade rouble pairs on exchanges and p2p platforms not only a transparent arbitrage tool, but an opportunity to earn money with DeFi.

To learn more, see the video from the online conference on Forklog YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/Othi6g7jhFs?t=14439

If you have questions about Monolithos DAO – ask them in the comments and we’ll be glad to answer!

How To Generate MCR?

Any user can generate MCR tokens by opening a vault on the Land platform by pledging ETH or wBTC (Bitcoin on the Ethereum network) as a collateral security. However, your cryptocurrency is not spent, but stays locked in the vault as a collateral.

Let’s expound the process of token generation step by step.

1. You can open your first vault on Land at the following link https://land.monolith.money by clicking “Create MCR”
2. Choose the type of collateral and follow the on-screen instructions to create your own MCR
3. The surplus collateral can be withdrawn to your wallet, or used to increase your coin holdings.

Important to know:

Take note of the following terms:

·  «Liquidation price» indicates the value of your collateral security that once reached, leads to the liquidation of your vault.
·  «% for stability» and «% for liquidation» indicate the commission that you will pay should your vault be liquidated

If the price of your collateral increases, while MCR – being a stable coin – keeps its value, the surplus collateral on your wallet increases. In other words, you gain money on currency appreciation.

If your collateral depreciates and reaches the liquidation price, the vault is liquidated, and your collateral is sold to the market. The proceeds are used to pay for the generated MCR and the “% for stability” and “% for liquidation” commissions. This way even when your collateral depreciates, you only lose a part of it to cover the commission fee!

How to buy or sell MCR tokens?

In the previous video we showed you how to generate MCR tokens, and this time we’ll show you how to buy them.

Let’s break down the process of buying tokens step by step.

✔ You can buy coins on the Land platform, first visit https://land.monolith.money, then click “Start trading”.

✔ You can only buy coins that are already in circulation. If you need even more MCR – it’s easier to generate the required number of tokens yourself.

✔ You can buy tokens with W-ETH. You can create your own buy order for MCR or choose one of the existing ones. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to buy MCR.

How to participate in MCR collateral auctions

Users on the Land platform can participate in MonolithosDAO Flip collateral currency auctions. An auction is carried out when the collateral ratio drops to its minimum of 125%. In this case the collateral ETH is auctioned off in a Flip auction, and this is a great opportunity for users to buy cryptocurrency below the market.

Flip auctions are carried out in 2 stages:

➡️ During the first stage users bid MCR they are ready to pay for the collateral crypto. The target amount for this stage is equal to the size of the collateral +7% liquidation fee.

➡️ The second stage has bidders compete at how much less collateral they take for the amount of MCR established in the first stage of the auction.

The bidder who offers the most attractive deal, wins.

Interesting Facts About Stablecoins

How are stablecoins different from other cryptocurrencies, what are they good for and why have they become so popular? Let’s find out!

The first and most striking difference between stablecoins and regular tokens is that they keep all the advantages of cryptocurrencies (decentralization, transparency, anonymity) while being totally unaffected by volatility issues. As a rule, they are pegged to a fiat currency (for example, MCR has a soft peg to the Russian rouble).

By the way, there are stablecoins that are pegged to other cryptocurrencies – a form of asset tokenization. For instance, to be able to use Bitcoin in DeFi projects on the Ethereum blockchain, wBTC – a tokenized Bitcoin, was created.

Some stablecoins are backed by real assets, while some maintain their peg through algorithms only.

In the field of DeFi that is becoming popular today, stablecoins are playing an integral part and are used as the foundation for a lot of protocols. With their help, investors and traders avoid unnecessary volatility.

Many modern companies are already beginning to accept this type of assets as payment, since it has become the safest way to implement new technologies while maintaining the traditional finance models. A good example is how Walmart is developing its own stablecoin.

This way stablecoins serve as a bridge between the world of traditional finance and that of cryptocurrencies. They are vitally important in increasing cryptocurrency technology adoption, making it more and more widespread each day.

Why is it believed that the up-and-coming DeFi market is promising?

Everyone who is observing the cryptosphere can’t but notice how rapidly it is developing in comparison with traditional economy with its principles that have stayed the same throughout thousands of years. In 2008, Bitcoin got in the game, and it was a landmark event. Today, 12 years later, BTC is no longer considered state-of-art. More advanced projects working on blockchain technology are emerging – fast, smart, reliable, and easy to use even for newbies. Let's see why the decentralized finance market is one of the most exciting areas today.

The goal of decentralized financial platforms is to completely overhaul the traditional system of monetary transactions in the most open and seamless manner possible. Many are fascinated by this area because of the ability to create and launch censorship-resistant products, as well as because of the interesting and promising technology that opens up a huge scope for experimentation.

DeFi is sometimes referred to as "LEGO money" for its modularity. By connecting different decentralized applications, you can create completely new projects, simultaneously increasing their user-friendliness, and maximizing your profit.

Why is blockchain innovation so important? Above all, decentralized finance thrives in settings without regulatory oversight. This ensures complete protection of personal life. One of the main challenges on the way to global blockchain development is the hostile environment of outdated laws and regulations, and some DeFi projects have already failed because of this.
The bright future of the blockchain and the decentralized finance market is also confirmed by the interest from large players, such as investment funds and financial institutions. Dozens of banks have already started to work with decentralized funds management in one way or another.

Finally, against the backdrop of the pandemic in 2020, with the stocks of almost all global companies falling, DeFi offers excellent opportunities for safe and high earnings. If you want to learn more about DeFi, our website features a set of crash course cards that will help you with that! https://monolith.money/en/blog

How Old Is The Idea Of Decentralisation?

Did you know that the idea of decentralization was being discussed ever since the French Revolution?

A French 19-century political scientist Alexis de Tocqueville suggested to transition away from centralized control in an effort for citizens to resist violation of their liberties and subjugation from the bureaucratic government. He believed that those who seek to unite for the sake of the common good, will get a lot of benefits from decentralization. And he wasn’t wrong!

Decentralization is more than just a catchy word. It’s the future. It’ll bring revolutionary changes to finance, technology and politics. Today, together with you, we are pioneering this revolution!

MonolithosDAO is a fully decentralized project, and the MCR stable coin that grants its holders all the privileges that come with DeFi projects! Very soon we will present a few interesting ways of income generation using MCR, so stay tuned!

Profit With MCR Using Curve-F (3Crv)

• Profitability — over 15% (twice as much as bank deposits)
• Profit paid in stable coins
• As dollar strengthens, you profit grows

Monolithos DAO is a project that makes entering DeFi an easy task! If you have already heard about decentralized finance, but still unsure about where to start — this is your chance! We offer a very simple strategy of getting profits from various assets using MCR and the 3Crv token, which consists of three most popular stable coins: USDT; DAI and USDC.
The profits are also paid out in stable coins! Which means that you make money on both DeFi and also the increasing value of the dollar (which, analysts say, may reach 90 and even 100 roubles by the end of the year).

An in-depth description of the strategy that will help you make over 16% return on investment (as per 23 November 2020) is available at the following link https://monolith.money/investment

MDT Holders To Vote To Reduce Stability Fee

MonolithosDAO has launched the first vote for its governance token holders that will decide whether or not to reduce the stability fee.
Currently the fee sits at 4.00% of collateral per year. If MDT holders decide to go through with the reduction, it will drop to 0.1% per year, making the process of creating crypto rubles even more beneficial.

If you’re an MDT token holder — participate in the vote at the following link https://governance.monolithos.pro/

Happy New Year!

As the New Year’s Eve is approaching, MonolithosDAO congratulates you, wishing you success, well-being, and great revenues!

2020 has been marked by not only an unprecedented surge in BTC growth over the final weeks, but also the DeFi boom and the beginning of Ethereum 2.0 launch. In 2020 a lot of interesting projects came into being, among them — MCR cryptoruble, and its MDT governance token by MonolithosDAO.

We have already done a lot in developing this project, and there is even more work ahead of us! In January we will continue hosting DeFi-themed webinars and introduce to you a number of interesting cases. On top of that you will get pleasantly surprised with quite a few other things! Keep watching our social media feed.

Happy New Year!

Important news: revised thresholds!

Dear users! We have to put a threshold on MDT and MCR deposits to Bitzlato (@MCR_CHANGE_BOT and @MDT_CHANGE_BOT, as well as the web version of the platform).
The deposit threshold is now 3000 MCR cryptorubles and 100 MDT governance tokens. All transactions below this threshold will not be credited or reimbursed.

Changes will come into force starting 17 February 2021 at 12:00.
