Title: [4] Account; Ban evasion & cheating in campaigns.
Post by: YOSHIE on July 28, 2020, 03:34:40 PM
Basically the two rules below are very clearly written.

Using multi accounts, cheating and spamming are not allowed. It will result getting all of your accounts permanently banned from all my campaigns.

Fourth: Permanent ban

Your first ban is your first warning. If you have to be banned for a fourth time it is permanent and you will no longer be allowed to participate on the forum under any accounts. Note: If you are banned on one account then you are not allowed to post under any accounts you own for the duration of your ban. The only exception to this rule is Meta where you can discuss the circumstances of your ban if you wish to do so but anywhere outside of that sub will be considered ban evasion and will get your ban doubled, but it is generally best to just patiently wait out your ban and improve your posts on return and hopefully no further bans will be needed.

However, the above rules do not appear to apply to the 4 accounts below.
Main account @ardcts, has been banned.
However, the user concerned actually registered 3 other accounts to register & cheat in the campaign.

Instead of trying to gain notoriety wouldn't it be better to just pm the manager with proof? Then tag the users? And then if nothing happens make this thread?

not busting your balls, but come on man, save us some trouble.

I'd've preferred this thread (and a whole lot of others) be in the Known Alts thread myself for the very same reasons ...   ::)

I appreciate his work, but take steps before making a thread. Multiple DT don't need to tag someone in most cases. On top of that, the known alts thread should be the 1st place he posts instead of making  anew thread for each person he suspects is an alt.

new or old threads do not matter to me, which is a matter of PM from certain managers, who are doubtful and suspicious of certain Alt accounts that register in the campaigns they manage.

The answer for you is very simple.
Eliminate the rules that you write as below, every campaign managed by manager.

1 bitcointalk account per person(If you are found to be enrolling alts you and your alt are kicked out with no pay)
No neg trust accts may enroll

And instead you write a new 'rule'...
"We accept at least 3-5 Alt accounts that register in our campaign".

And we will stop, mark Alt, publish Alt account & ignore PM from the manager, if there is an Alt account & register in a particular campaign.

Do you agree with my idea, so that we are no longer (fame) = committing crime again & arrogant.

Maybe we will work only for what rules are applied in this Bitcointalk Forum.
And ignore Alt cheating & register in the campaign.

...

I can only echo what yahoo62278 has already said: the Campaign Managers will take action based on proof provided in the Known Alt thread.

Ban evasion should be reported to the mods, who, if they are doing their jobs, will take action.  If you feel the mods aren't doing their jobs, then perhaps that would be a thread for another day.  Either way let the CM's know as they've asked you.

Then, what if you create one special thread, for an Alt (Ban evasion) account, for Alt which has been banned.

Specifically addressed to the Admin and mod, they are easier to review when reported.

So we don't mix Alt cheats in campaigns with the Alt Account (Ban evasion), maybe anyone is easy to see including campaign managers.

I by no means want you to stop doing what you're doing. I want you to continue to expose these idiots. I would like to see you poost in the alts thread 1st, or make 1 thread exposing all alts yourself vs a new thread for every new connection.

Please do not take offense, I appreciate you exposing these assholes.

...

Not sure why you're trying to confuse two issues. The known alts thread is for identifying alts; reporting to the mods ban evasion is a different process.

As Yahoo suggests start your own mega thread for just your own investigations, you'll still find it doesn't change the two are totally different processes.

or make 1 thread exposing all alts yourself vs a new thread for every new connection.
yes, that sounds reasonable, but I still appreciate @Timelord2o67, I've asked him to make a new thread.

If @ Timelord2o67, there is no response about the Alt thread (Ban evasion).
Maybe your idea I will do.

Please do not take offense,
No, offended, just straightening, know we're still cold-blooded.
I quite appreciate you a manager here.

We already have it here [Report] Ban Evasion [Requesting Admin/mod to check those and ban] (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094661.0), it seems that thread doesn't active like Known Alts of any-one (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.0) created by Timelord2067

But well, we can still use it.

Thanks for the reminder @Jawhead999 - I'll be sure to give that link some prominance in the known alts thread when I get home tonight.

I think that one thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.2340) about alternative accounts is enough. It is also possible to draw up reports on violations of the ban evasion. In the message to the moderator, simply add a link to the report.
I know a similar thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2613277.1380) in the Russian local department. If you submit reports in a simple format, the moderators always react very quickly and the offender is instantly banned.

I have posted a rather lengthy post in the Known Alts thread urging people to post first there, then report to CM via PM then report ban evasion the the mentioned thread.

Would everyone reading this please follow the link and familiarise themselves with the posts' contents.

Thanks.

Thank you @Timelord2067, for trying to update it.
I have read it a new form.

In an hour or two, I will lock this thread.
