Title: What to mine with GTX1050 2GB ?
Post by: igotek on August 01, 2020, 09:03:47 PM
I have 144 pcs NVIDIA GTX1050 2GB GPUs which mining cryptonight-xhv.
What do you advise me to mine ?

I dont want to sell my GPUs. I tried to mine NIM (argon2d algo). But the rigs are unstable.
is the any ethash algo coin which can mine with 2GB GPUs ? (I know ETH and ETC cannot mine with 2GB GPUs.)

BEAM (BEAMHASH3) with MiniZ or BTG (144,5) but it won't bring much profit, but the most the most of all options you have
Look at whattomine https://whattomine.com/coins

You can check the DAG size for ethash based coins here:
https://crypt0.zone/dag-file-size

Akroma, DubaiCoin, Nilu, Expanse, Ubiq are all under 2GB right now but they won't net much profit.

Try ubiq coin (UBQ), you can use phoenixminer and mine in maxhash pool. That coin can have wallet and trade in bittrex and binance site

You can mine haven protocol ( cryptonight haven ) on gtx1050 either 2GB or 4GB variants and earn 1$ every day with 390H/s, on ETH it's 1.2$ if you can use hiveOS but I guess that's for 4GB cards only

Find a good crypto night coin like turtle coin to mine since they don't give a fuck about what memory your GPU has, I remember using AMD 6970 to mine some Monero in 2016 and it was damn profitable but Monero is not running on randomx algorithm anymore

Raven coin  ;) This will give you 20$ every month for a gtx1050, I don't see anything more better than this for gtx1050 right now unless I'm not digging enough, by the way who still mine with this cards anyways?

I would go and mine Ubiq with all that amount of cards. There have been some price upwards for this coin as I mined this a few months ago when the price was only 0.10-0.14 Usd for a coin but now is 0.40-0.50 so I think it is a good option to try.

I would start selling your video cards and buy more modern video cards with more memory.
Calculate the profit about 10 of your video cards and 3060 from one video card. You will probably get the same results.
Today is a good time to sell old video cards for a good price.
