The site can help to customize colors and get whatever you want, with color code too. So I don't think your thread is needed. Sorry.

Yes of course we have many options to choose from. But note that not all of them works on this forum. I have tested some shades, they will just not show up.

I have sorted out the one's which are working fine here.

In addition to this, it helped me make complex table which I am recently trying to excel in.

Using Hex code might be better than color name, since we can pick what color whatever we want it. Just replacing color name with hex code

Yes, Hex code is also good idea. But considering not everyone knows it or finds difficult to input it for speedy work, adding simple name could make miracles too.

I'm also a friend of Hex colours because it's easier to differentiate when you need very similar colors like I've used here: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197909.0)

But sometimes it's faster to use BBCode, for example when you just need two colors (green / red) or similar.

Steps :
1. Choose color that you like, then click choose button
2. Click get info. Color-hex code will appear.

Add a BBCode for your colors so that if someone want to use it they can easily know which BBCode to use. With your table, it is a challenge to find color codes to reproduce it for my tables. I guess your purpose when creating the thread is provide an easy tool with available color codes for visitors and if it is you have not build it up well enough.

One more point, I don't think the color name is necessary, just show the color, and if people like it they will pick it (its code) to use. It saves more space for your table as well.

In case you want to allocate each row in the table for a wide range of an initial color, example: green, dark green, lightgreen, limegreen, whatever, you can do it with the second table I gave you.

I don't know how much time I have invested in editing posts during my Bitcointalk career just because it was not clear what the color looks like. So I tried different colors far too often until I found the right one :D

I don't want to be mean, but you should do something more useful than adding more entries. What would be the use of having "nice name" for all 65535 colors we usually have on the computers?! And how big you expect the post will get?!

From my opinion the only real good thing of this thread is that people could post links to websites giving proper hex codes for the colors they choose. I prefer this post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5266343.msg54929034#msg54929034).

Just a heads up to OP. You can also easily copy and paste the gradient color of bbcodes that is automatically generated by these website. [1] https://www.stuffbydavid.com/textcolorizer with a lot of ease. It'll also enable user to modify their text whether they want it to be bold, italic or even adjust their size. Note that some of the fonts available on that website are unable to be used for bitcointalk.

The hex code that is generated above are just different shade of a particular hue that can also be used for creating signature designs in bbcode format. And yes, having the capacity to understand the basic can really push the creativity of a person but then it might take a lot of your time if you're going to manually insert those codes om every letter LOL.

Note that the hex color code can also be used for generating glow (background) of a text. I've used it when I posted my entry in Roobet Art Contest.

Aaww, that is really nice idea. I think I will have to revisit all the color shades to create one. But this time I will just create another post with all the BBcodes in front of every color.
This is amazing concept.

It is helpful because in the forum drop down menu there are selected colors. Having wide variety of shades handy could be fun. Will work on that mate.
