Title: VOT scam token / Kolomine exchange alert
Post by: ArthurThePug on August 03, 2020, 02:03:39 PM
Just heard a friend of a friend bought a scam token called VOT from 'offshore broker' Kolomine.com

He's been unable to withdraw the coin or get his funds back which I think involves sending to an ERC 20 addy: 0x3d7afa0322f6dd2e28c16271d74e5aa22f968b48. They are using fake pretty Asian girl accounts on dating sites incl. Tinder to promote the scam.

The exchange has typically meaningless blockchain bullshit babble for describing the token:

Valid Order Chain will realize the decentralization of the blockchain, which will ensure the transparency of the blockchain transaction account book, and fundamentally solve the problem of contract forgery and tampering through credibility. Furthermore, by DApp, the parties to a contract to perform reasonable contract signing procedures, using less resources to draft contracts, and by simplifying the process to reduce the processing costs required for the signing of cross-border contracts, a distributed database of contract procedure management services and high trust to resolve written contract restrictions is created. VOT is the only token in the Value Order Chain of a global business and trade mutual trust platform, which is an evaluation of the value of global traders.

The token is not listed on coinmarketcap, gecko etc. Etherscan suggests the address has been active for about 62 days.

Apologies if this was not the right thread to post this is, couldn't find a scam discussion

Nope, here the scam accusation section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0), click Move topic in lower left.

*IMO it's better to lock your topic since we're already have a thread against VOT and Kolomine.com

you have to be careful because of a lot of exchanges like this that many deceive for investors. they cheat by selling tokens them and will not be listed on exchanges other for project fraud inevitably will trap investors to buy coin their sweet promises will always be there and they will continue trying to cheat to the events that I have experienced too when I make a deposit into an exchange then I no can withdraw and deposit I can not pull anymore.

Thanks for feeling it necessary to share all the details with us. Its not a new thing and crypto market is full with fake token, exchange, wallet, Hyip, ponzi projects which are decreasing investors interest on the field of crypto cyrrency. To keep yourself safer from all these you have to gather knowledge about valid and proper projects before making the investment otherwise most of the time chances is pretty much higher that you will get scammed.

I will suggest you to edit your topic by following  scam report format (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0). You just have to add necessary information and links which will help thread visitors to be aware about this token and exchange.
