Hackers reportedly changed the description of the account with account details for bitcoin donation. Hackers said to have streamed CarryMinati’s old Bihar Charity stream with the description for Bitcoin’s address to trick subscribers.

Did they made anything out of it, is what I want to know? I doubt it though. I don't know anything about the guy or his Youtube channel or the content he posts there (don't care to find out) but I really doubt many/any of his followers know of Bitcoin or that they might have donated to the hacker's bitcoin address. Also, I don't understand why these youtubers have to run charity streams when they want to donate when they themselves make lakhs every month? Why can't they donate out of their pockets instead of asking from viewers? Publicity, right? To appear good on social media, same as big companies/politicians.

Its an old news and no one got affected because Youtube recovered the Channel in no time, but Hackers are using lot of hacked accounts to post different kind of scam traps and people are still falling for it.

Youtube channel hacking issues have become quit e common nowadays. It seems like a piece of cake for these hackers to hack any channel. Either there is a security flaw within the platform that Youtube is unable to solve or the channel owners are not following the security protocols.

Whatever is the issue, Youtubes reputation is getting dented and if they do not solve this issue fast most channel owners will move to other platforms.

Channels hackes were executed by various phishing attacks so nothing to blame Youtube here for the user's mistake they need to be careful with every promotional email they are getting and better to use separate device for promotional purposes and make sure that primary email of your Youtube account is not linked with the secondary email and your phone.
