 Corruption and bad governance is like an intertwined cottons that makes up a very dirty linen, I would be speaking by picturing/drawing my knowledge from my country.

Corrupt government -prostitution- is more like a financial embezzling business than is it about leadership. I would enumerate some very plain prostitutions tools this guy's uses -i am from a developing country to point it out-.

+ Privatization:here they give exclusive right to a person -yeah you correct their person- exclusive rights on a very useful product, to be the sole distributor,manufacturer of it even if they are not capable, the citizens has no option than to buy from there person, this fetch them blocks of money and killing another rising man's business, zeal.

+ Allocation/distribution of works/infrastructure and funds: note some of this politicians here has construction companies or like number has their person that does, construction works are awarded to these companies without effective scrutiny, an funds and infrastructure are not evenly shared/distributed, higher portion are shared to their areas of personal Interest and benefits.

+ Stealing national properties and Treasury: the country is filled with naturally resources and land space, this national properties are dubiously converted to their private properties also funds are moved from national Bank into private accounts.

+ Cashing in or calamities/situation: let's use the corona virus, lots of money that can't be reconciled or accounted for has been spent, and citizens are still suffering, palliatives are just stories without actions.

Lives becomes hard/a nightmare for citizens under a corrupt leadership.

I believe your country can not be from the western world if this is the case, and there are still many countries in the world like this. If I have to convey plain truth, some leaders are not meant to be leaders because they do not carry the characteristics of been leaders. Let us look at Africa countries for example. Check some of the characteristics of their leaders:

1. Only African leaders go for medical treatment abroad.
2. They lack the knowledge to rule there nations
3. Most of them have citizenship abroad.
4. Their sons and daughter are given birth to in abroad and are called citizens of countries like USA, England etc.

This defineds that there is a problem in such countries, and if care is not taking, it can lead to more problem in future.

Most developing countries are in Africa, and some part of Asia, the countries depends on whites, they did not want to stand and be independent to certain extent, they did not produce goods and services like they ought to, this is the cause of unemployment, unemployment makes life of people in such country miserable.

If your leaders can one day realize not to depend on western nations, and nations like China, you produce manufacturing companies and the likes, then, your country standard of living will be more quality. But, with the corruption you talked about, it is likely this can not be done, that is why I said they lack the knowledge to rule.

We can't find the corruption free country in this world but different country having different level of corruption.In India corruption is getting worse day by day but both the national party has the same behaviour so nothing will change is people elect different leaders.

And also government officials are the main reason for a country's corruption rate increase and citizens are the cause of their emergence.

How to make a corrupt free country? Just leave the leaders, we should bring the changes from ourselves and every citizen gets into the mindset then the corrupt free leaders also will be emerged.

I'm not sure but I see that Japan is a progressive country and read the news that corrupt officials don't have to be proven as they commit suicide if they're getting into a corrupt controversy.

Yes, there's a bit of corruption but they have their honor at stake and just choose to do what they think is right. But you are right, there's no country that isn't corrupt, from head to toes they are scattered. Even the best public servants are hard to track them down.

Politics surely is dirty. But there are countries which have been said to be 'least corrupt'.

You are down one level with your comment. There is a super state that controls most of the world, and they appoint the governments of countries to benefit themselves. They control countries by creating controlling states within that country. Westminster, Washington, and the CCP are just three examples of these. All of these politicians are supra-national, and not national. It is almost impossible to get elected unless you are approved by the ruling dynasties.

They also call deregulation . This is when the government say they want to hands off from the regulation and subsidy they where hitter to doing as a duty for the citizenry to enjoy or pay for certain amenities at a bit lower price in percentage from what is the "suppose real price".

They preach that when the economy runs on deregulation that the people will benefit more because to them, the monies used to service those amenities would be freed up for other obligations (but this is not true for third world countries, because these monies would end up in their private accounts or that of their cronies at the end of it all).

They preach that when the economy runs in a free market and prices would be determined by international standard or private people (as in privatization) the masses suffer because price will keep going up as vats keep rising.

Corruption is a challenge to the growth of third world countries.

They benefit themselves at the expense of the country as a whole and the masses suffer it more.

Neocolonialism is not a symbiotic relationship but a master / servant relationship.

Corruption is like chief of the world because know country currently that is not emphasising on the nature of their country.
Some times i began to think deeply about corruption and how some government leaders choose to follow the pathways of corruption. Emphasising on bad governance,this is absolutely corruption,living a life of selfishness or personal interest as a serving governor or minister, embezzlement of massive funds, incomplete projects, all these is what introduce corruption in society.
 

Most of the people who commit corruption are people who have power and are related to the regulations issued as well as all the processes that must be passed. because we know that they usually do it because they feel that people need what to do which is in accordance with the rules that must be done.

there is also because people in politics where the need to be prepared to appear to be a leader, so it requires a large amount of money and after leading they usually use the power to return the funds used

From all form of corruption added to the list, I find the country to be India which has experienced the worst economic crash during the pandemic. During this time every country has suffered the same, but those countries were ready to accept the reality whereas the Indian government continue to state the development hasn't got disturbed.

More economists of the country have come forward with various suggestions considering the situation, but the government isn't ready to take it. They always try to go what's been planned by them. Whether it benefits the people, the industrial growth and nothing is given importance. But whenever the prime minister gives a talk he used to talk about Trump as his friend and mention the country is corruption free. Thought you were talking about the US until I saw the part where you said -- my country -- which I'm going to have to assume isn't the US.

But yes, other nations of the world (specifically the ones that are NOTORIOUS FOR CORRUPTION are the ones that have less capitalistic societiess and look more like an oligopoly as a government. You keep the rich and the military happy, and the corrupt government can continue to function.

Thankfully our system isn't like that in the US. You have the freedom to make any object or provide any service that you'd like (given that it isn't illegal) -- You may have to jump through some regulatory hoops, though I wouldn't compare that to exclusive access to make a product. Some regulations are good, others are bad and are lobbied for by people who are already in an industry to setup barriers to entry.
