I wanted to introduce my website Gambling.org (https://gambling.org) - its been operating since 1996!.

Just recently a new site on the domain. It was launched with a new logo too :)

Please let me know if the new gambling.org logo looks nice to you...

The new site is not really completed yet so please be easy on that side, I'd appreciate that!

I''ll post more information about gambling.org news updates as I get the news content sections added to the site going forward.

In brief: Gambling.org provides reviews of fair and legit gambling sites and has been in operation dating back to 1996. Surely its one of the oldest gambling sites on the entire internet :)

I never heard of the site. Regarding the question and answer, is it around the people who ask questions and experts answer the questions or you will answer it yourself?. About the reviews, what are the basis of the reviews on the site?. I think you should also gather reviews from gamblers who gamble on a certain site.

The logo is okay. But the logo should not be your main focus. There are sites like this like sand on the beach. That's why you have to serve with good and trustworthy information and not a site that is overcrowded with text. This is good for search engine ranking but for me as a visitor this is too much. You should also integrate more colors into the page. At the moment black and white looks very boring. Also you are using standard bootstrap css colors which does not look good too. There is a ton of bootstrap css templates out there with much nicer themes.

agree on those points. also, as the OP said, they have been here since 1996 so why is it still hosted by WordPress? am assuming by now you already have sufficient funds to pay for your own server host.
and also, the list of your best online gambling sites, are all those fiat-based? i guess you need a separate section for all crypto-based online casinos, because you will have long list of that just by checking the gambling section of this forum

You are operating your site from 1996 but sorry to say that its the first time i am hearing about you. You domain name is quite good but in comparison with that website design looks so plain and incomplete to me. Someone have already given suggestion about your frontend color, sections and style of presentation.

I hope you will get some creative hands who will help you to convert your website in a new look.



  

Maybe they are into fiat online gambling sites before or up until now (as the category under online casino is only real money casinos) and since crypto online casinos are getting popular these days, they decided to introduce their site to this forum. Hoping that they will improve their UI/UX design and looking forward to see popular crypto casinos on your site.

I think this site is just simple advertising own casinos. Just it. No any "expert" ratings and reviews there.

I tried to check if they do have reviewed crypto gambling site but theres none and yet it is indeed focused on fiat based ones which i do believe that this doesnt fit out into board.
When it comes to design then its just really plain simple one and nothing special on it. Who would be the one to be interested on reading up some reviews if the site itself
isnt catchy?
This is already anticipated when anytime theres a gambling review sites do pop out which you can either presume that reviews are just simply scattering out their referral link or paid ones.

That's a good domain name, but what proves that you're the owner of a website that's been around since 1996? I mean, this could be impressive, but for now it looks like words.
The logo's fine, the overall design looks a bit too simplistic, and 3 animated guys giving points in a world where slightly more than half a population is female is unjustified. I also don't like it how you have a list of 'real money' casinos rather than something more neutral like 'fiat casinos' because, technically, cryptos are also real money. And why not add crypto casinos to this website? You have the header navigation with 'Online casino' (I think it's better to make it plural btw), but there's only one choice there. And I was surprised that one can click on 'Questions' and on 'Online casino' to go to specific pages. I thought they were just for choosing an option in the menu that opens when the mouse is on them.

I want to ask if at that time gambling was operating for a traditional way or had it been around for a long time on the internet because that year the internet was minimal, not as popular as it is today, or did this gambling recently appear on the internet so it is possible with a lot of interest?

For me this is too plain in terms of appearance and maybe many will get bored with a display like this, yes there are lots of suggestions from forum users so you can realize which one needs to be changed is the best thing including the gambling logo as good as possible it will be of interest to many people .

@bedroid there’s a big difference between registering a domain in 1996 and actually running a site on it, as I have seen from the Whois history the domain is indeed registered on 1996, but wayback machine shows changes were made in 1997 only. Also he’s not hosted on Wordpress that’s the platform he’s used to make the site, and further he seemed to be hosted on AWS as that’s what the Whois is showing.

You have a top level domain but nothing space for advertising there.

Also, Nothing special with your logo. When I look your thread I fell you want to sell this domain to the public.

Look like he isn't the owner. Domain changed time to time, in 1998 domain showed about the computer, in 1999 domain for rent until 2000.

This is amazing it goes way back till 1996 probably many would not have born by then or just around that years would be born would be o this forum. Many changes doe require on your site and possibly a total revamp and new feel at this time will give your side a good advantage over others as you have the history in it.

How much did you pay for that domain? That must be worth lots of money.

It seems the website needs to use VPN to access because I can visit on the site when I activate my VPN.
For an old gambling site already online since 1996, I think you need to make it public because it gives the gambling information, not about a gambling website provider.
I see on my website, you have a good looking website, but I wonder if you give the information about cryptocurrency too on your website or not because I see that the list on the site seems is not for a crypto gambling site. Only bitstarz casino, which I can see on the site which is familiar to me, but I hope that the other website also accepts cryptocurrency.
The link on the list uses your affiliate link, so I guess that you can get more referrals under your account.

Is your site intended for US players mainly? I took a look at your questions and all of them are mostly about gambling for US players. As a non-US player it doesn't relate to me and I don't find it that useful. I would prefer if it had more global content.

Getting your gambling site is a welcomed development 
If you can be able to have a credible hands that will help you to design the web properly.
I Can only advice you to keep on sharing the ideas till you get nice direction to follow.
Based on your ideology if you need any assistance you can seek for help people are ready to render help in such things.
Because your site will profits the people in forum, especially beginners even the old members if it's properly equipped your site.

The old ones become new because most of us if not all have not visited your site nor heard of it since.  You are not the first who come here with old website though, there is one that I particularly remember and have a premium domain like poker.com. It gives me the chill to see how adoption is taking place that old casinos that neglected BTC or crypto before had already come here expressing their interest to BTC.

What made you decide to suddenly open up here and why did you not do it earlier? We would love to hear from you, this would make you probably the oldest site if it's true, and maybe tell us why Bitcoin now, and what's in store for the future? Awesome domain name:)

Focusing on the design I think they are pretty easy to navigate and for a non techie users he could easily use it however I may suggest if you could improve it more since most of the sites today also focusing not just the content but also the design of the UI or the website itself. Well it's just a suggestion by the way.

I agree to this it's much better if you include more global content also would you include to your website about cryptocurrency gambling sites I think many users would benefit to it since most of us in here on this section are into gambling so and also for the new upcoming gamblers they would be able to choose which platforms they think the best for them.

Despite the exact match domain, I didn't see your site appear on top when googling "GAMBLING". It's in the fifth. Geolocation matters though.


They come here to grab some piece of the traffic coming from this forum. ITs not unusual because bitcointalk provides relevant backlinks and traffic as well. If a business starts to accept BTC, it's worth announcing to the BTC community and bitcointalk is  a channel for promotion.

Wow, blast from the past. I actually remember your site, shared in some Usenet groups, used to be on the newsletter along with some other... gambling dujour site or something, can't recall, shared on the same usenet, sharing all the new lotteries that used to creep up online (remember freelotto anyone?).

Then I remember also your directory, that's how I got on to William Hill and others -- they actually sent full CDs to anywhere in the world in those days to install their software, full immersive environments and play money haha. Now, those were the wild wild west!

I think he is the new owner of the domain since ben's post was last june 2019 so i think it is already been sold to this guy anyways whoever you are op good luck on improving gambling.org

On sale will it change hands? I think gambling sites will be maintained, but in fact they can be traded. Oh my God, is it a common thing or do we have to believe in this if we switch hands to another?
I am afraid because there is an injustice when it continues.

I do believe that you should have had done a little advertising about the site , since right now , I don't think it's attracting much people.

Other than that the layout is real simple I do think it would actually be interesting if you add something like a GIF or videos , images ...more , because right now you see gambling sites they are really like a mini Las Vegas .

I do believe that you have done everything minimalistic , you can even talk with the gambling sites which are engaged on the Campaign here and then maybe put up a review about them after using them , this would benefit you an them both :D , they will get a good review from someone who is there since long and you would get more content.

Every week you can also start up a thread where you would review the site with most +1, this way you can engage your audiences , get some crowd going there . It's a lot of work I would say . Best of luck .

The trust of the people towards your site may change because there is a new owner and management but you can improve the services that your sites offering if you want to attract a lot of gamblers out there. When I visited the site, I found out that you have classic and unique features because the home page is about the history and background of your sites unlike othet gambling sites there where their homepage is the casino itself where you can see the games that can play.

Your platform is simple with a white background which is good but I am looking forward for your future updates as I know that you
can make it better to what it is right now. Your logo is quite unique but still I am sure that you can still make it better.

If yes, I'm up for some work and I can be one of those people who will give you completely unbiased reviews. Please make everyone more awake on the age matter as the under 18 age restriction is a necessary step to be followed, not just by the gambling industries but also the parents who fear that their kids might be gambling behind their back.

At first there was poker.com and now gambling.org ? Hmm, so great domain owners are interested in crypto business but... Btw any proofs that website is yours? I checked it and there isn't bitcoin/crypto mentioned anywhere, also there isn't a list of crypto casinos, except bitstarz.com that's mixed and in overall you include real money casinos.

Logo is okey, not good, not bad, just in the middle. It reminds me pokerstars because of that icon in the middle of word "g".

I remember that one (poker.com) which majority do believe that they would able to see an actual poker website but we do see the different thing but rather its a review or listing site of poker
related matter.

Even this gambling.org is such a good domain but im already anticipating before i tend to open it out which im not wrong and actually see the same thing.Its such really a waste imho  and the fact
that these kind of review sites doesnt really get that much attention.

Website listed are mostly fiat ones thats why its quite irrelevant here on this market.

I just heard this site right now and I didn’t know that there’s a specific site talking about gambling.
Anyway, its good to hear that you’ll adopt new changes and adding a crypto gambling site reviews specifically. The logo is fine, very clean to see, and the website itself is good as well. I’m looking forward for more crypto gambling site reviews, a fair review of course so many gamblers will see this site worth it.

^ I also want to hear about it, but it would be strongly legit if they hire a trusted campaign manager who gambles for fun and makes a review depends on the price tho.  I have checked firstly the website is secured, The certificate is valid. Simple to design and thinking if you going to run a campaign for testing and marketing of your gambling site company to the moon business and get good traffic in here.

They have no improvement yet on their site. There are already suggestions to improve the aesthetic appearance as they said they have been here since 1996. That's a long journey for them. They should hire a good web designer. Since crypto gambling casinos are fast growing these days, they need to catch this opportunity also. And also they have pretty good choice of domain dedicated for gambling stuffs. So I hope they will improve their services here.

Do you really believe that they've been here since 1996? I doubt that or even on sites that do claim that they've existed for long time but basing of on the appearance and development on the site then we can totally say that the domain name had just been totally wasted up or didnt able to monetize it properly yet we cant deny that this domain name is indeed good.Site design is plain and simple.

last time , i got curious and search google for old sites and there is actually old sites that still exist till this date and they retain thier vintage design but some sites cant help it but upgraded on whats new .

its only up to the management if what they prefer. building a site isnt all about money or monetizing it  .  they didnt waste the domain name because they said they have been since 1996 .
