Title: What is the best platform for quickly purchasing bitcoin?
Post by: smoothpebble on August 12, 2020, 06:57:10 PM

What is the best platform for purchasing bitcoin quickly, without a long verification process, and with relatively low fees? I have been using Coinbase for years now but I am finally fed up with their convoluted terms, long waiting periods (that they barely even forewarn you about), giant transaction fees, and their seemingly random decisions to block my transactions or “freeze them for further review” that last days to weeks at a time.

I tried to make a moderately large transaction the other day and there was simply no way to get it done. I was tying to buy $600 worth of bitcoin and Coinbase told me the “transaction cannot be completed because of suspicious activity,” despite the fact that I was using the same completely verified account on the same IP address I’ve been using for years. I tried again later about ten times and received the same message every time. What are some alternatives that won’t put me through all of this? Preferably an alternative where I can quickly buy and send btc via my bank account or debit card. Security and verification processes don’t have to be great because I won’t be holding any coins on the site’s account. Thank you for any help provided.

Here is a list of Non KYC trading platforms that you might find useful
  • List of P2P/no-KYC exchanges (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5180421.0)
And then there is also a newer list of P2P platforms
  • Help: A list of LocalBitcoin alternatives (P2P marketplaces) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5224711.0)

I just want to add this to the above suggestion.

If you want to buy bitcoin without KYC, the other option is to buy Bitcoins directly on Bitcoin ATMs.

The fees maybe around 8.93%(According to Google). This doesn't need any verification to buy bitcoins.
And this is the only fastest way if you are near on Bitcoin ATMs.

Use this https://coinatmradar.com/
To find Bitcoin ATMs near your area.

I'm guessing you're from the US and I think (as far as I can tell) banking transactions are pretty slow there? If not you could try using a form of faster payments with coinbase pro (Pro.coinbase.com) using your normal account. I haven't received any problems with suspicious activity blocks or similar (not sure why).

Atms or some non kyc exchanges are probably a good second bet but sites like bisq limit you to $250 deposit until your account has grown afaik.

Just Google "top 10 websites to buy Bitcoin".I don't believe that many people here will give you answers that are way different than the search results of the big G.There's no secret "magic" crypto trading platform that is going to offer you no KYC,low fees, fast transactions and great customer support. If some platform is promising all this stuff,it's 99,99% a scam.If something is too good to be true,it most likely is...
A few suggestions are Binance,Coinmama,Bitpanda,eToro and CEX...
I don't think that your experience with the above mentioned websites is going to be even slightly better compared with Coinbase. You will have to face the same BS everywhere.KYC,high fees, waiting to receive BTC...

If you are going to purchase the bitcoin with fiat money then p2p is the faster and low expensive way to buy. I prefer localbitcoin whenever I want to buy bitcoin with fiat because where I have trading activity so I can make advertisement for my desired price with current market value but for someone who don't want to complete KYC is is possible to trade upto 1000 euros per year, but with simple ID verification you can increase that into 20K euros.

OP doesn't want to perform any KYC verification so Localbitcoins is a bad choice from him. 1000 euros per year is so low. Maybe he can look into the links alternatives I gave him. Localcyptos for example is also becoming popular ever since local bitcoins tightened their KYC demands.

Ya well, you guys won't protect your privacy and just hand out your KYC info. This is what happens when you tell a total stranger exactly where you live. According to you, you should give me your KYC if I open an exchange.
Anyone can open exchange and according to you, we must let the world know who we are else we have something to hide? Do we know the paxful owners KYC? Didn't think so.

KYC is a method to hold your funds hostage. Funny how they will take deposits without  KYC but not withdraws. Sounds like the way criminals work to me.

Funny how you talk about scams when the exchanges you mentioned are scams. Asking for your KYC before releasing your funds. How criminal.

Btw there are many many ways to get bitcoin without KYC. Too bad it seems you guys have the same brain wave that only thinks one simple thought at a time.

You can very easily fill other fiat accounts with money then buy bitcoin with it using one of like 50 places to trade. Infact the signature you wearing has many places to trade. WOw you don't even know anything about bestchange yet you wear their signature.

Almost all centralized exchanges are now implementing this KYC/AML, it's an international practice to all and this also might help to combat the money laundering. If you ready for that, Bitcoin purchasing is very fast and reliable. Just try to visit my signature if you want to buy/purchase Bitcoin using your fiat through a bank account or any ATM bank account.

On the other hand, if you really don't want KYC and if you're concerned is your privacy. Choose the ATM machine but I can't guarantee lower fees because AFAIK purchasing Bitcoin through ATM is quite high. There is also called decentralized exchange like Binance DEX. Or followed as suggested above for the list of P2P exchange.

It seems OP is okay to accept the KYC but not so much intensive, that is why I suggested him to do tier 1 verification which just needs ID not much details, only tier 2 and tier 3 verification needs more documents.Localcryptos is good alternative in terms of security but if there is no KYC system then there maybe lot of scamers waiting to trade with you from hacked bank accounts which can be a big burden in later.

It seems OP wanted best of the best platform to buy bitcoin, while each platform have pros and cons subject. Here I'll show it

Centralized exchanges (e.g. Binance, Coinbase):
1. Fast
2. Require KYC
3. Low fees

Decentralized exchanges (e.g. bisq, hodl hodl):
1. Slow
2. No KYC
3. Medium fees (not low and not high)

Bitcoin ATMs:
1. Fast
2. No KYC
3. High fees (average 8%-10%)

IMO its impossible to find fast, no kyc, and low fees platform because until now I still don't find it.

Where are you located? You mentioned Coinbase so I have to assume you are in the US, in which case many of the suggestions if not all I could provide won't work for you. But I think for Americans Square app is fast, and you can also try Gemini, but I doubt they are much faster than Coinbase. Bitcoin ATMs as suggested above seem the best.

What is the best platform for purchasing bitcoin quickly, without a long verification process, and with relatively low fees?

If you want to buy bitcoin quicker, you might want to consider buying them on decentralized exchanges.
Much faster since you they won't require your identity.
There are also exchanges that passing KYCs are optional, but they are centralized,  still you can easily buy and sell bitcoins there, also for other cryptocurrencies.

Hello does if this exchange does not need kyc then how could he buy bitcoin? I mean does this include fiat supported or only can buy crypto to crypto? I just curious about this exchange, if it included a fiat gateway then this is the first time hearing a decentralized platform that were able to do that.

How about on your local place OP? Im sure there are establishment there that you can buy crypto using your fiat money.

Usually buy crypto for crypto & withdraw in crypto. When withdraw in fiat or deposit in fiat, some derivative exchanges not applying kyc, but you will be subject to a daily maximum withdrawal limit.

For OP, these list can be considered : https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges

If you want to buy bitcoin with fiat currency sending it from your own bank account... you should use dex? How the hell would that work? Dex do not have bank accounts. Use coinbase if you are in USA, it is by far the best out there ever. If you are in another nation check if you have any trustworthy local website that does the same thing, you would be able to do it easily there as well.

At the very very worst case you could use localbitcoins, it is a place where people exchange crypto and fiat between each other. However the websites that are like coinbase in every nation is by far superior, they are evolving into bigger and better places that you could exchange a lot more crypto and have bigger volumes, in our nation things are not even comparable to 2017 peak times nowadays.

I am really not a fan of Coinbase, maybe if you are from Asian countries, there are lot of alternative exchanges for that.
Speaking of an alternative, you should first identify which country are you from, because maybe if we suggest a lot of exchange and the country you are from is not supported of that exchange.
So, I for now I am suggesting you to try to check out BestChange, since you are planning to use your bank account or debit/credit card. There are lot of exchanges listed on BestChange, there are also lot of different exchange rates.

Im using coinbase but I did not tried to purchasing bitcoin to that wallet because it will not allowed to my country.
We are using coins.ph base on the Philippines which is really good to use to buy bitcoin there is a lot of deposit option.
There is a lot of wallet that you can use to buying a bitcoin make sure you choose a low fees.
In terms of using coins.ph, the good thing is; it is convenient and easy to use but the bad thing is the fees that are really expensive. I do not recommend purchasing bitcoin through coins if we sre talking about large amount of money because you will experience immediately loss just because of fees. But if the money is not that big then I can considered using coins.ph as good because it is less hassle than using exchanges where you need to fill up, verify and also a lot of transactions.

Usually buy crypto for crypto & withdraw in crypto.
So this has no different on some dex offering bitcoin dex. Ive asked it cause there is a chance OP probably gonna buy through fiat so his last resort would still fall on registering on cex like binance.

Im also looking for a good platform that dont asked kyc but were able to buy bitcoin but I think its gonna be next to impossible for now. If ever someone got any ideas or platform that allows this then Im gonna be interested. But the most way Im thinking is only p2p for anyone selling crypto.

The problem with platforms like localbitcoins is that you are often asked for ID verification from the buyer/seller himself and while I feel safe to provide my identity to LBC since they are a established and polished platform but I never feel the same confidence giving out my identity to the sellers out there because they can always misuse and misplace my identity and even when they don't do that they can always sell the data they collect during trading and make money off it.

I always feel we should rather go for Binance or exchanges like that because they do allow you to buy bitcoins with credit card and being such a massive company they would never even think of selling your data.

You can try changeNow  (https://changenow.io/) instant exhange. It's a non custodial exchange that supports purchasing of crypto with fiat and crypto. You don't need to create account so no need for them to hold your funds. You can conveniently buy your favorite crypto with less stress as you were describing. You can purchase up to $20,000 with your bank card in day.

Not every buyer/seller wants your ID to be verified every time even though lot more payment methods doesn't need ID especially while dealing bank transactions, that is why we need to read the terms of every trade before initiating one.If you wants to buy bitcoin with credit card then it may get expensive due to high fee structure, so its your onw decision whether to buy bitcoin for best price or premium price with better trustability.

There was a time that LBC used to be the best trading platform without going into KYC, but time has change, actually not just LBC but a lot of exchanges really need to comply with this KYC because it has been mandated already.

I always feel we should rather go for Binance or exchanges like that because they do allow you to buy bitcoins with credit card and being such a massive company they would never even think of selling your data.

2 BTC limit, yes that's cool, but I doubt that they can stick with this though. https://bisq.network/ and https://hodlhodl.com/ is a good alternative for me.

Its because their government made changes in the regulation of crypto exchanges to avoid money laundering practices and when dealing with p2p I guess it is okay to provide basic information to verify our account so seller and buyer no need to worry about the scammers.

I chose centralized exchanges to buy Bitcoin quickly, even though it had to go through the KYC procedure. But the process is safe,
if you object to the KYC procedure, you can use P2P platforms to be able to buy Bitcoin quickly. Or there are other alternatives with
using a Bitcoin ATM, the process is fast and there is no need to go through the KYC procedure. But it has a high cost. So the conclusion
is that each platform has weaknesses and strengths, no platform is perfect.

I think you don't need KYC to trade Bitcoin on Binance except you want to perform a Bitcoin transaction of above 1000 BTC in a day. With answers given above you must have gotten the desirable answer to where you can buy Bitcoin without a full KYC. Beware of scam exchanges.

P2p transaction is what you need I think, just find a reliable source of bitcoin then arrange a meet up with him. In that case your money will be secured. But for me, I rather buy bitcoin in exchanges so I can trade it directly to them and I can buy another coin as well.  But it is up to you. Buy in different exchanges if you want. So you will not needed a kyc.

We have exchanges in our country from where we can buy bitcoin easily but if you want a global site from where you want to buy bitcoin then I think you can go for Localbitcoins or Paxful. Both of these sites are seamlessly easy for beginners to buy bitcoin.
Alert : Beware of the scammers on Localbitcoins and only purchase bitcoin from trusted and genuine sellers.

In fact, I use binance for my daily trading as the best cryptocurrency exchange. But if I need to quickly buy Bitcoin without any obstacles using my bank card, then first of all I use resources through an intermediary and guarantor BestChange, which provide cryptocurrency exchange services in any direction. In addition, all resources have very positive reviews and transactions go through very quickly.

There are many exchange sites for buying bitcoin but the most reliable one for me is binance. Binance is the largest and best cryptocurrency exchange in the world. Transactions can be done here without any hassle and there are not many scams or thefts. Transactions are very fast almost every token exchange has a list and is informed in advance at any time that it is much safer and more secure.

What is the best platform for purchasing bitcoin quickly,
I see that since you created the topic on August 12, there have been many answers that have been given by members here, for example suggestions given by:@log file.

However, you did not answer any of the topics that you wanted to ask, whether you are already using the platform or not.
I judge you are not serious in asking.
As additional information:
What site to buy BTC fast? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2618775.0), for you, for sure you have to tell the members here from which country you live, to make it easier for other members to provide answers for you the fastest Bitcoin buying platform.

The question is, have someone offer it for sale without using an escrow? Actually, you are not saving for fees but you are paying more for an escrow and also the risk of being scammed.   It is better to use those exchanges mentioned above, we have to stop looking at ways to save more fees because we can't find those ways. We can set into the lowest fees if we want to but expect it never be as fast as we think. The most important for us is being secured and can receive the number of bitcoin we have paid off, unlike purchasing it directly to a stranger that might only cause you to lose your money.

You can try out ProBit! I find it to be the best nowadays with all their exclusive, successful projects! I think you will like it as the trading fees can be as low as 0.03%!

Why they have to sell for low price and tell me exactly how you are going to save fees?

If you are going to trade with someone locally the escrow is important which needs huge fee compared to the trading fee on most of the exchanges and also transaction fee will be included on your side if they are selling below the market price.

Shapeshift.io is probably one of the fastest and they do not ask for anything at all. You could buy bitcoin from there as easy as 1-2-3 and you will be good to go.

If you are in america or any country that works with american banks at least, you could do coinbase as well, they are quite good at what they are doing and even though there are a lot of scam accusations against them about holding peoples funds for longer than people want until they give it back (and in some cases even not give back) there are usually some stories behind that, I have never seen anyone who follow the rules without breaking ever and not get their money from them, plus they are the most known and one of the highest profiting american crypto companies out there, which makes them a trustworthy place too if you can use them.

Coinbase is the best for me. In fact i use coinbase wallet more and i work as a reseller with some of my friends so coinbase is the best place for me buying bitcoin. everyone buys from where there are more benefits to buying bitcoin. Some people buy from someone else and some people buy from ATN and exchange.
You need to complete KYC before trading on coinbase so that os not what OP is looking for.I suggest OP to use LBC if you are not worried about completing kyc with any of their valid proof to confirm their nationality, and you can almost buy or sell bitcoin in minutes.

Hmm, Coinbase can be a pain sometimes. From own experience, I can recommend 3 such exchange platforms. First, you can use bestchange to compare the rates between different platforms - this is always useful for me when interconverting between coins; second up is Kraken they do have KYC but what I've experienced wasn't too long ~ several hours but they're usually quite good + speedy. Finally, Poloniex is also one to look into, I like how easy it is to use and can buy quick also.

If I were you though, for future purchases I'd clear the verification steps for a few of the big exchange platforms. That way when you're ready to buy you're sorted  ;)

I would recommand coinbase or kraken for the simplicity of the platform and the low fees.

Of course i verified the coinbase account with my documents a long time ago because every day i use coinbase to buy and sell btc eth and others tokens. Since I do buying and selling activities with many of my friends, coinbase wallet is very fast where i exchange tokens very easily and quickly. Not much is marked for kyc because it is verified shortly after the documents are submitted.

Dang OP, when I read the title of this thread the first thing I thought of was Coinbase, since they're probably the most trusted in terms of exchanges dealing with fiat-->btc transactions.  I can totally understand your frustration with them, however.  They nuked my account years ago for a stupid reason.

Some of them don't require KYC, but some of them do.  My experience has been that at the very least you'll need to give them a phone number in order to receive an SMS text, and some of them require you to scan your drivers license.  The last one I used only needed the phone number, and I'm sure you could get around using your own phone if that's a concern.  More of a concern would be the fees, though.  If I had a choice, I'd rather buy bitcoin through Coinbase than an ATM because the fees on the latter are outrageous (IMO).

OP, just go peer-to-peer and you wouldn’t be having problems of delay, unless you’re afraid of using decentralized and P2P exchanges, if not, that’s the right way to go and stop stressing yourself with all these Centralized exchanges. I can’t remember the last time I ever used a centralized exchange to buy cryptocurrency, all my transactions has been peer-to-peer for a long time now.

I am not saying centralized exchanges are not good, they are good and for real they are very secure for newbies to make purchase, but the process takes long. The best and most popular P2P exchanges you can use are Paxful and LocalBitcoin. Check them out.

The fastest way to buy Bitcoin without KYC is recommended through P2P platforms, but if you have any doubts you can
use DEX exchanges. Still uncomfortable and hesitant about using DEX exchanges as well, the last alternative could be using
a Bitcoin ATM. Although many say using a Bitcoin ATM has a large fee, but as long as you are comfortable and do not have
a problem with the fees that must be paid, I think using a Bitcoin ATM is a great option for buying Bitcoin.

Is there any decentralized exchange support crypto to fiat transaction?

On DEX even tokens from different blockchain is not convertible! Correct me if I am wrong guys.

The author of this topic has been gone and I hope he got the answer on the day he posted this. Or I don't think if he is serious about reading our replies.

But anyway, this could not only give benefits to him, but this could also help others.
It was a thing that any exchangers will give us suspicion if we acted differently, do a transaction in volume (withdrawal), no KYC added, it could actually give them some doubts and look upon us or sometimes freeze our account until we can provide necessary supporting documents and usually confirm through email. Yeah, it was embarrassing because instead of wanting fast and easy transactions it comes into the time that we wait for a few days before it succeeds. But it is all about security and they don't want to get involved in any illegal activities. So there is no way to blame exchanger to act like that.

You can browse and get countless number of trading website for now.But only few of them are real and legit one, most of them are fake. You should read a feedback about the exchange before investing of your money. They steal money by two ways,by the transaction fee. This was common of many fake exchange, they will stole your entire bitcoin in your wallet.

In the market of cryptocurrency exchanges, there is a new exchange named changelly pro. For some reason, everyone is trying to ignore this exchange and not talk about it, and I cannot understand why? I personally like this exchange, and I also think that this exchange will suit you too. If you want to get to know cang pro better, than this review (https://cryptogeek.info/en/exchanges/changelly-pro) will help you.

At the end of the day we are talking about buying bitcoin legally, if you want to buy it legally that means you should not be capable of doing it without any regulations at all and that quickly.

If you want to use a place that is legit and follows the law, it is going to take some time, they will require some stuff and since they are under regulations they will check every single transaction you do and if there is anything irregular about it, they are going to make sure that you do not do anything illegal, so that is how the legal ones work.

If you want more "illegal" one the most legit version is actually buying from a person, if you go to localbitcoins, they can send money to your account right away and you can send your bitcoins or vice versa in less than a day if you agree.

local exchange of your country who dealing in crytpo

A commission is taken for the purchase of cryptocurrency through exchanges. Its size can vary over a wide range, for example, it can be less than 1%, reach 10% and exceed this value. However, usually, it is 1-2%. Therefore, choosing the platform, check this information, and take into account the exchange rating and reviews.

Doing KYC should not be a big problem because if the platform you are submitting documents is legit and trustworthy then there is no need to worry about sending ID proofs.

Which wallet are you referring to if you can please link it? Like you said your country have a own wallet so it will be helpful for some if you can share maybe.

I personally always buy Bitcoins through P2P websites like Paxful and Localbitcoins because I have a few traders who trust me since long time and I do not have to give any verification and I trust them enough to even send first so we use LBC when the amount is big else I directly trade with them on telegram.

It will be good if you will check first the available local exchanges in your country but if you cannot find some then you can try changelly as they are accepting bank account or debit card. I have used it in the past but you should consider checking first their credibility as I was unable to use them recently.

You can easily buy bitcoin there but with regards to fees I am not really familiar is how much is their fees. I tried checking their FAQ but I was unable to find some useful information there about their fees if how much they charge.

Coinbase is the best platform to buy Bitcoin fast the crypto wallet is an easy to use and secure referral program that allows you to make money by attracting new members. For this reason the participant and his or her invitees will receive bonuses valid for each citizen when they transact and manage in their own currency. But it also gives Coinbase customers more credibility the exchange only tries to work with countries that meet their requirements. That is whose policy is in the interest of business development no need to KYC later.
