Title: Crypto Trading Competitions?
Post by: vennali on August 13, 2020, 09:42:59 PM
Wondering if there are any trading competitions going on for Cryptos. I'd be interested in taking part. Also, where to post if there is a competition going on(for crypto specifically).

There are so many if you try checking out different popular trading platforms. It depends on the kind of trading you would love to take on. Is it Spot or futures?
Just check out the Announcements of Binance, Kucoin, Huobi, Bybit etc when you visit the platforms. Sometimes they are displayed on the homepage.

I heard about the trading competition on Binance and with Gunbot but I don’t know if its on-going or done already. Usually, the top exchanges are hosting this kind of competition with attracting rewards, so you must be a good trader for you to win. Put the top exchanges on your watchlist and wait for the new competition, it can be more big.

Binance currently had Trade Binance USDT-Margined Perpetual Futures, $100,000 in WAVES Tokens to Be Won! (https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/1e9664a21326465fab4feb81e047211e) and the rest you can really find it on their ANN thread or social media accounts. Its better to deal up with trading competitions with known or big exchangers rather than to those small ones.
Not only on bigger prize pools but also in securities as well or you do know that they do really pay up.

There are lots honestly starting from big exchanges to small exchanges or those newly opened exchanges.

I'm not sure though if there's a specific website (pit-stop) or thread here that gives regular updates about these. Might be time-consuming and hassle as it needs to check frequently.

So yes, it's mandatory to check it on your preferred trading platform manually. If you are already registered on some trading platforms, they always sent an email regarding trading competitions so you might want to check your inbox.

Looking at the participants of the trading competition, the volume is not a joke and they are really trading huge amount of money so this is a big challenge if you’re a small time trader. Using the top exchange as a platform always give at least a less risk to lose your money so if you have a great talent on trading and have enough funds, then its ok to participate. Looks like there’s always a trading competition on the top exchanges, so you always have the chance to join.

One of the big problems when you are only a small-time trade where you wont really have the chance to make it on top leaderboards if we do consider into those big traders mostly in big platforms like Binance,Houbi etc.

but also it doesnt mean that you have 0% chance unless if you are really that good then you can possibly beat them up but im not really that too optimistic when you do try to fight to those people who do had

financially capable. There are some new exchangers that do launch out trading competitions which is also considerable but depends if that one will suits out your preference.

When it comes to competition, the traders who have huge capital are mostly win because they are always part of the leader boards. I tried to join in competition before but it is not a cryptocurrency competition where I join in stock market competition. It is the largest stock market competition in my country. The good thing is we have virtual money so we do not use real money and all of the participants have same capital. The goal is to become best trader with has highest market gains in just 3 months.

If you have account in Binance, it is true that they usually email an announcement like trading competition. But even if you do not have enough capital, you can still join the competition and you can still win especially if you have proper risk management and good skills in trading.

If you are a whale and you are trading already the trading pair that is taking part on the trading competition then it makes sense to enter, but if you are not a whale or if you do not trade that pair do not bother you are just wasting your time.

Sometime ago a user posted the results of one of those trading competitions and for the most part the losses incurred by those at the top were not offset by the wins they got as such they lost money in the whole process, when we take that into consideration it is better to just trade as you usually do and not concentrate on those competitions at all that increase the volume of a coin artificially.

Currently, I participate in Senso trading competition at Bitcoin.com exchange. Here is the link of their announcement channel on telegram https://web.telegram.org/#/im?p=@BCE_announcements (https://web.telegram.org/#/im?p=@BCE_announcements).
If you wish to take a part in trading competition you need to join exchange announcement channels, there you get info when trading competition starts and ends, rewards and places that get rewards, etc... You can find announcement channels of exchange directly from exchange, be informed first, start earlier, you have more chances to get the to the higher places.

Don't do Binance though, just my advice. The whales there use this competitors as their play ground. They use the opportunity to pump coins to their desire price and dump when they have secured enough profit. On other exchange don't have much idea but I believe their won't be as manipulative as that of Binance although all exchange aren't to be trusted.

Also pay close attention to the project announcement thread on the forum and you'll be informed on latest trading competition. One important thing to note is most project introduced trading competition after getting listed on new exchanges.

The samething happen in every liquidity exchange site and thats the reason why I dont participate in trading competition cause I see it as gambling games. However, the strategy i use is accomulate the crypto that seems to have good future when the whales dump it after the trading competition but it long term invest in new altcoin is never a good idea though.

Whales are always milking mediocre and average traders in every possible way they can, and trading competition is one of their play ground indeed. Specially in the mainstream trading platform like Binance.

Anyway, I'm not sure but I think I saw a trading contest in games and rounds section before. But to become more updated, I suggest to follow the Twitter accounts and Ann threads of those popular brokers and trading platforms.

Mostly Binance launches this kind of competition but somehow you have missed it already since it was done last month.
https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/b05d00bf19d24a30956d34a6e5c9bec5-Binance-Futures-Launches-DeFi-Trading-Competition

But I know that there are more to come, you only need to have a close watch in their announcement by simply visiting on their site.
May you can take a look into other exchanges because they might also be launching such activities. You don't just rely on the service announcement, the best option is to manually visit the site itself if you have time and ability to participate this kind of game.

I'm late to comment as these competitions just ended with registration yesterday. However you can track and check until when the competition ends because they might start with another one.

What sort of trading competition you need ?  One of the competition is that the more you trade, you can more chances of being a winner. This is just like wagering which is done in gambling. I would suggest you that instead of participating in competitions, better focus on trading as that will give you much higher returns.

Yes, There are crypto trading competitions organized from time to time. Since I mainly trading on both Binance and Kucoin exchanges, here are the link to their blogs (This is where new trading competition announcements are made)

Binance: https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/c-49?navId=49
Kucoin: https://www.kucoin.com/news/categories/promotion?lang=en_US

As far as I know, there's no website that lists all these trading competitions in one place.  You have to manually check each time.

Maybe OP have a good knowledge with trading that's why he's trying to find a good place to take
advantage and see how his skills will bring him good profits.
Like what you have mentioned the competitions is same a like with how wagering inside gambling
if you got lucky then you'll get the pot money.
Skills and knowledge if you have this combo you have a decent chance to win, the prize pot is
always decent.
OP may try those well known exchange like Binance who offers this trading competitions. Who knows
he got the right strategy to win.

I think there are lots of trading competitions out there, particularly in lots of exchanges. Last time, CoinCasso have a trading competition, in which they have cool prizes such as iPhone 11, smart watch, etc.

I think you are good or decent in cryptlo trading (correct me if I’m wrong later on), so you might go to some popular exchanges and get notified in their trading competition announcements.

If you want, you can join the Gunbot Tournament [1] (https://tournament.gunthy.org/). Right now, we are at Binance Futures. You have a chance to win a portion of 10000 USD (If there are qualified participants)

The requirements to join here are
  • Gunbot License
  • Binance Futures account that wasn't referred

You are hitting two birds with one stone. You have an automated trading tool for your trading needs and possible prizes. The competition is held monthly so there are a lot of opportunities. If you have something to ask, don't hesitate to PM me with this. I would be willing to help you, OP.

I never take part in them because I did once and I lost so badly that it wasn't even close. There was over 9 thousand people that joined and I was somewhere between 6 and 7 thousand, so I was basically above people who didn't participated and people who did for a minute and left, everyone who kept trading like me was above me, I really suck at it.

The funny thing is, I am actually a good investor, I have invested into crypto a ton so far and taken out a ton as well, and almost always I make a profit, of course it is not a big profit, it is a small one and it does take months and months before I can actually take out, so I am very slow, but when you compare it to stock brokers, I actually do make a god profit yearly. It is just hard to do it so quickly, I am used to slow investment instead of fast trading.

What I know is that trading competition is not a venue for average traders eapecially those that cant trade 24/7 but smart traders can profit from it when the waves is still at peak before whales manipulation.

There are actually two types of competition. One is that you need to mint maximum money in a given time using an initial which I think would be quite interesting concept but can't see any of them in cryptocurrency.
But yes generally all exchanges have a different type of competition that is to increase volumes of certain coins they keep a competition for maximum trading in that coin which according to me isn't that fascinating considering that a normal trader would never win that. I suppose you are not looking for such competitions?

In the case of crypto trading there is almost competition but especially when the price of the currency rises. you need to gain knowledge about trade without participating in the competition first. If you analyze the market well you can get an idea about the competition and it is much easier to win. gambling sites are more popular for competition. It is possible to make a profit on long term investment by determining the price difference of the currencies.

The majority of trading competitions based on cryptocurrencies are very few, most of which are carried out through the stock market or forex, what must be taken into account is that the majority that do this type of activity is to achieve Clients of the Exchanges that organize it, themselves, you should look for Exchanges with good potential, today there are many new projects that are being launched, you just have to do the relevant research.

It's not like free money, you need to invest in trading. In conversations with some
friends who participate in trading competitions regularly they don't have positive
outcome after every trade. Sometimes they lose intentionally with clear agenda
to wager more even with loss. They hope that reward in the end of competition
will cover their loses, and to have profit. They say they don't get in top 5 every time,
it means they risk. Last time my friend won 3 place he had to wager more than 5 BTC,
first place was ovet 20 BTC, you can clearly see it's not free.

If you are trying to check a different platform that is trading there are some highest trades and the lowest sometimes those are the context of ranking who is the highest-earning and who is the lowest earner. In trading, there is no real competition because most of the traders are focusing on their earning and now in the number of people getting a lot of money.

Crypto trading competition is an opportunity to get free money with own profit. Yes, with your own profit, If you don't have good skill for trading you shouldn't participate in trading competitions.

Like a real match? I think this is too far because different traders has their different capabilities on how to make trade like at the start they make a hourly and daily trade but some of the aren't or just for a long term also it takes a good time frame for this competition.

Of course you would need your own funds to join up these competition and its actually part of marketing most of the time since they do know that they can
generate more profit even if they do need to risk or spend up for those prizes which are indeed expenses for their marketing.Top exchangers do have these kind of
competitions or these things do happen when a certain coin gets listed newly on an exchange. It varies but im not saying that joining up these competitions arent
profitable. It will vary on how you do make up trades.

Right now we have a very interesting trading competition from Nominex exchange. with a reward of $ 10,000 for the top traders, especially we trade with 0% risk. because we will trade on demo platform and use the results to receive bonus, besides we will not need to deposit any money.
Besides, for sharre a post on social network, we will have 50 USDT according to exchange bonus. This is a very good opportunity for new traders to come and experience. Nominex exchange is going to be a big exchange and they are doing their job very well.

Yes you are right to that, I also often get a lot of information about crypto trading competitions via email, but I am not talented for that and I ignore it, maybe have to pick and see if it's true or not or they are just for cheating. So for that always be vigilant and really look at more details about information via email. It looks like the Binance exchange is better and for real as they often hold competitions for all trade keripto.

Crypto trading competition exists in all cases but it is easy to survive even if there is competition if you have a good idea and sufficient knowledge about the trade. Therefore, we have to follow the trading strategies and move forward. The wisest decision for any investment is to pay less in the first place to maximize potential returns, especially when it is in volatile cryptocurrencies. Although unusual in nature, crypto rises and falls like any other market Influenced in a way that allows you to make significant gains.

If you are registered in one of the big exchanges such as KuCoin, Binance or any big exchanges out there. You will get notified if they have trading contest offer into your email as quick as possible, KuCoin is going to offer more than $150k bonus separated into 5 categories and Binance's trading contest that they will give you 1 BTC.

Good knowledge and skills are needed to be able to win trading competition, because the more capital we use and the more trades

There is huge profits in trading waiting for us if we have those skills required in trading but if we are a small time traders, then it might be hard for us to excell in trading competitions. Trading can only be profitable if we take high risks in putting big capital so we can expect higher chances of winning.

There have been so many crypto trading competitions on several popular exchanges, I have participated in several.
But unfortunately I was out of luck, because I have never be a winner. I think people who have big capital
are more likely to be winners, good trading skills are needed to be a winner in a crypto trading competition too.

Wondering if there are any trading competitions going on for Cryptos. I'd be interested in taking part. Also, where to post if there is a competition going on(for crypto specifically).

IDNA will be listed on ProBit Exchange

Deposits and withdrawals open at 6:00 UTC on September 2, 2020. IDNA/BTC trading starts at 6:00 UTC on September 3, 2020.

There will be a trading competition for the IDNA/BTC trading pair: 25,000 ($7500) IDNA will be distributed to the Top 20 volume traders in this order.

In what sense for it to be considered to be the same as a casino? Competitions or Contest does exist in all sorts of industries where people should really compete for getting the peak spot. When you do talk about trading competition then it does simply mean that traders should really be acquiring the most highest possible liquidity or volume into their trades or depending on what the competition is been requiring. Therefore, this will really be talking about on how well you do make up  trades. This is incomparable with gambling yet we know on whats an entertainment thing and whats a real
investment or money making thing like trading. On topic reply on which there are some platforms do offer competitions and of course you would really
be needing up some capital.Only a few will be offering some no deposit kind of competition.
