Title: I need help.
Post by: YOSHIE on August 14, 2020, 09:18:37 AM
Today I'm having a problem with Archive, I can't use it.
Archive link that I use: http://archive.is/

I have done the procedure (reCAPTCHA), done.

https://zizihub.com/0b04.jpg

Still, cannot be entered into the archive link and used.
Someone is having a problem like me or there are other solutions I can use.
For archiving.
All information and suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks.

Sometimes I too face the same problem. I can't access this site. If you are looking for archiving post from bitcointalk, you can get them from loycev archive. Or you can use web.archive.org
There is another one, I can not remember the exact name. It's related to crypto. Arweave or something. Check the bounty section. They have an active bounty now as far as I know.

It might be DNS issue. Flush your DNS, clear your browser cookies and restart your machine once. Archive.today is the alternative btw.

Have you any other alternatives listed on this thread?
[1] [Guide] Best way to Archive Bitcointalk and other webpages (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5224177)

They also have a great discussion with regards to archiving, maybe you can find your archiving issue in that thread.

Your internet connection seems to be the problem or your browser. Try first restarting your WiFi/data connection. If it's not the problem, try closing the window, visit again the link, then do the reCAPTCHA . You can also use different browser or clear your browser's cookies and cache.
If it doesn't worked, restart your device.

The site is up and working. Maybe you could try to restart your computer and download and install Ccleaner - to cleanup your system which I hope could resolve your issue at hand. If the issue still persist, try using another browser instead.

no it doesn't work also for me I visit the link  have the same result with catpchas  so its not browser problem since I tried it in two different browser .For now I think its better to use other alternative archive  that gives by Maus until its back to normal.

Tried it, there were no problem archiving (I tried to archive the thread that @Maus0728 provided, and it worked!). Wondering why you guys are experiencing such problem...  :-\

By the way, just to ask, is it okay to use this tools even the connection  isn't secured?

@OP, you probably use TOR or VPN (or both). Consider use clearnet for a moment (or via your smartphone) since you don't have to be anonymous if the purpose is only for reading the archive. But be careful with the malware or tracker (if any).

Not sure but many people use it.

Anyways, DWYOR.

I just archived a page with no issue from Firefox (plain). @Kupid002 has reported the same issue from two different browsers, so it does not seem to be a browser specific issue (bear in mind though that  Archive.is has stopped supporting Brave Browser (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5268599.msg54987827#msg54987827)). If you are in a rush, you can always use TheWayBackMachine (https://archive.org/web/) in the mean time.

Thank you for everything guys.

Now the web archive is back to normal, as usual....Can be used again.

I think it's all my fault, can't be used, even though it's the fault of the archive website itself, this is my experience, if in the future there is a problem like this.

Once again, thanks to all of you for the information, very helpful.

problem solved, topic locked.
