IOTA holds a lot of potential for future returns and might reach around $4.20 by the end of 2020. IOTA is one digital currency one should consider when looking for a digital currency with a promising future to invest in

You still believe that project even though has been discussed many times?

  • IOTA: Snake oil insecurity with a centralized kill switch to shut off your money (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5227016.0)
  • IOTA on the market a testcoin, a scam and only a FORK of the TRUE IOTA net (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5173154.0)
  • IOTA is a scam! It is not decentralized like promised (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2376538.0)
  • IOTA - the scam is being pumped hard now don't fall for the trap (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1965336.0)

Yes they're very active, do you think very active is the way to prove the legitimate of project ::) Many scam project is very active to promote his service/project (e.g. BSV, ponzi scheme). Scam is scam, no need to trust.

Without a bias.

My personal opinion is when I've heard or read something bad, it makes my impression for that project dull. I think I have no sense of urgency to do further research if various accusations and bad reviews I've read about it.

If you want to save a lot of time, you can try it as I do.

I analyzed this project and it seems to me that this is a good investment and the project constantly shows development and investors make money. I have some coins

In the past, some popular coins such as Ethereum and Ripple also had bad news and even some organizations purpose that they are scam but day by day, they have proved their value. So, don't rush to conclude

I'm yet to see concrete proof to show IOTA is actually scam, just scam accusations without convincing proofs. In as much as I'm not an IOTA holder, I do follow the project on Twitter and they keep the updates coming through. If at IOTA is scam, I doubt if the project will still give updates till date.

There were so many scam accusations to the IOTA even if that was not related to the criminal act but we can see that IOTA has so many loop holes on its platform. it's also a copycat platform.

Some may be real and the rest may not.

There is a lot levels of scam. Biggest is when someone makes ICO and takes money and vanish.  That is considered scam for everyone. Then second level is that someone make ICO collect money and have a huge plan that he is simply not able to deliver. HE pay himself nice salary. Employ some more people and slowly spend all money that was collected in the ICO. For that not everyone can say is a scam. Even police and court will have problems with it, But investors the same way end up empty handed.

Couple of years back it was one of the trending coin but after that there are some issues with their legitimacy, did the project team is still developing or they are just active?

I will say better stay away when you are not sure about a project.

IOTA is definitely not a scam. It's around for years now and they already have a lot of partnerships with the industry going on.
I know that there was so drama between the team members around last year with public accusations between them which made the price drop quite a bit back than.
But like i said the project itself is definitely not a scam and still has a lot of potential.

IOTA is a legit project ofcourse, devs are real. It is existing since many years and a very promising project. Why should it be scam, LOL? Devs of IOTA are known and are respected computer scientist.
