Title: BTCShop.xyz , BTCShoper, scammers Post by: StealthyXor on August 19, 2020, 02:12:54 AM What happened::
As a typical noob, browsing the forum for the first time, i noticed the marketplace. BTCShop.xyz (http://BTCShop.xyz) caught my interest and I visited their website. After a chat back and forth I was tempted to buy one of their products. The seller answered some questions and I went on to (test) buy one of their products. Seller assured me that after 3 confirmations I would receive an email with the actual product attached. The second it got 3 confirmations seller disappeared offline and is unreachable. I replied in his thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5269335) which turns out to be self-moderated and was recommended by a moderator to open a thread here. Scammers Profile Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2842733 Reference Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5269335 Amount Scammed: 0.00488273 BTC Payment Method: BTC through blockonomics.co Proof of Payment: https://www.blockonomics.co/api/tx?txid=cecf8537db8c60fbcbdad41c5a3487c95d1163028acd0f6a71842f1f2e487f5c&addr=14xcfT3JZ2SbN8QdzEqH5JD8UcAqZKGgTm https://btcshop.xyz/checkout/order-received/132/?key=wc_order_wP0LS88Tr3FYq PM/Chat Logs: The Tawk support chat on their website (BTCShop.xyz) disappears and the chat log is therefore lost. Additional Notes: Very nice first experience. :'( Title: Re: BTCShop.xyz scammers Post by: Twinkledoe on August 19, 2020, 02:21:34 AM Can you have the screenshot of your transaction with them? Also if you can follow this scam report format. Much better. I hope, you still saved all your communications with them. Because if they did screw you, they deserved to be tagged so they can't have more victims.

Sorry, I fixed the formatting Title: Re: BTCShop.xyz scammers Post by: sandy-is-fine on August 19, 2020, 03:34:41 AM You should flag him as a scammer here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;addflag=2842733 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;addflag=2842733) and if it supported by enough higher ranked users he will get a yellow warning message visible to newbies and unregistered users on top of his thread. Not that that will stop him.
Title: Re: BTCShop.xyz scammers Post by: sandy-is-fine on August 19, 2020, 04:54:02 PM You should post a message saying (asking) based on this thread to "support" the flag you started here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2842733;page=iflags (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2842733;page=iflags)
Would also suggest changing the topic name (if possible) to include the users name on the forum and change your REFERENCE LINK in the first post of this thread to the actual link to the thread and not back to the users profile as you have duplicated that. I did support your flag here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2842733;page=iflags (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2842733;page=iflags) but 2 more DT level users are needed to make it active.. Title: Re: BTCShop.xyz , BTCShoper, scammers Post by: StealthyXor on August 19, 2020, 07:15:49 PM Thanks for the feedback. Got some of the links mixed up. All fixed now I think.
I linked the thread to some of my buddies but so far that did not help much in terms of getting this guy flagged. Kinda lame that moderators can't leave a message in there, lock it and call it a day so the thread gets buried over time. I'm actually disappointed that people can get away with this type of stuff so easily on here. It ruins the whole image of what BTC could potentially be if you rid of all the scammy shady crap. That's why this place attracts more scammers. Title: Re: BTCShop.xyz , BTCShoper, scammers Post by: dkbit98 on August 19, 2020, 10:29:52 PM It would be a good idea to mass report this scammer domains and bring them down.
Purchasing accounts is never a good idea and many people get scammed or with tagged accounts Title: Re: BTCShop.xyz , BTCShoper, scammers Post by: StealthyXor on August 20, 2020, 12:53:51 AM Not sure why anyone would buy accounts but I thought I found a great deal on ebay giftcards that I could flip.
Asked the dude if they are legit and not fake or incorrect, yes he said, so I gave it a try. Turns out they don't exist at all and you pay for nothing at all. Lol. Title: Re: BTCShop.xyz , BTCShoper, scammers Post by: StealthyXor on August 20, 2020, 01:36:21 AM Domain registrar history does not reveal anything interesting.
However, I did file an abuse report with Namecheap. easywp.com support forwarded me to Namecheaps abuse ticket system. easywp.com is a product under the Namecheap company/brand. https://i.imgur.com/3MJlpK2.png update: namecheap confirmed receiving the complaint. https://i.imgur.com/B6KUsMw.png no updates from namecheap yet User keeps making new threads on bitcointalk.org as if nothing happened. Still scamming. |
