Title: Give away again.
Post by: Peanutswar on August 19, 2020, 04:03:46 PM
This is not a new case of giveaway on youtube and while I'm lurking around with the platform youtube I found out this live.

https://i.imgur.com/Qq0RKvb.png

Again guys there is no platform that can double or even triple your money by just sending them bitcoin. If this is a giveaway there is no funds needed to be send just to participate on this event again be careful and report this immediately to prevent this kind of scams.

Report it to YouTube. These pop up a dime a dozen. Scammers will create these scams faster than you can create threads about them.

I tried opening the link but I think the account is already gone. At least YouTube is now making actions towards this kind of scam giveaways.

YouTube has millions of users that are why scammers are taking advantage of it. And even if it's an obvious scam, there are still who will fall for it that's why it's just better to report it whenever we see this kind of tricks.

Yes, and if YT takes down scam (giveaway) videos quicker, it will save people from falling for it. After the Twitter hack and the resultant giveaway scam from those accounts, I think websites and social media handles are now more alert about this tricks and take immediate actions when reported or caught.

This is not a new case of giveaway on youtube..

As it is not a new case, it is not a last case. When a channel of scammers is closed, they will open another channel and try to scam peoples. So we should report against them as soon as we see these channels.

Scammers are active not only Youtube but all also all social media including Telegram, Twitter, Facebook.

I thought that youtube have already made their action on these ads but as I've watched another youtube video a while ago, I also saw one ad showing the same scheme. Channel or ads, youtube has to stomp all of them as soon as they are reported.

I have seen this yesterday. They are above of the recommended videos on the right and they are LIVE. These scammers really paid a slot to be on top of those video recommendations. I've reported the stream right away so if people can't see the link now, this might be the first time that Youtube shut down a page fast lol (or maybe the stream was already active for several hours or days before I saw it).

But just wondering here, why Youtube approve the channel in the first place? Of course, these scammers will pay/ask first for a special slot (right?) and it will be subject supposedly for Youtube's review and checking before they will approve this page to start.

Well, youtube does accept any videos posted online. The only good thing about this is that they accept reports immediately and move on it to properly remove said scam ads once detected. Might as well just look for extensions that help you block said ads, so that you stop clicking everywhere that may take you somewhere wrong. uBlock Origin and HTTPS everywhere could help in stopping you from going somewhere pretty dangerous.

Well, anyone is free to post their vids on YT. Afaik, they don't really review it properly when it comes to scams and the like? The youtube AI only reviews those that are NSFW, or when it's rated for kids, but it's not, you get a warning or something. That, and copyrighted content.

This kind of giveaway will make people lose their concentration since it offers a lot of money. Well, if they used their senses this kind of offer does not make any sense at all but we cannot judge those people who fall into the scammer's trap because they might be tempted by just looking at the screen. By the moment we report it there are already people who blindly invest in their fake giveaway but to make things good, let's just report it first then warn others about this kind of stuff. anyway OP what if you make a telegram group and post there every scams giveaway you find. The other members will report it as well as soon as you post it, in that way their scams will be taken action immediately.

They better be. Some accusations against them are quite serious about these scam giveaways. Youtube must set a protocol that automatically set untrusted users to post again. For example this channel has been flagged by giveaway. Youtube can automatically banned and investigate related email connected to that account and suspend them or better ban permanently.

Well, if they used their senses this kind of offer does not make any sense at all but we cannot judge those people who fall into the scammer's trap because they might be tempted by just looking at the screen.
This is also another problem. I dont know if those people fall on this are really not aware of the modus or really desperate to join for easy money. We always knew that there is no guaranteed huge profits. From there, we can already assume a scam hint.

But that's really not the case, Youtube is unaware of these ads that is circulating in their platform.

As soon as possible we should be aware about those and inform other people, this thread is the way for it. Fake giveaways are very obvious and that's a 100% scam if you found one, they will ask you to send btc to them as a registration fee or to become verified as a participant or member.

Obviously, that is a scam so reporting it to youtube will make them put some actions regarding these scams that can fool more people if we don't take immediate action regarding this.

From time to time when I am checking YouTube with crypto related contents and here comes the break or just the opening of the content these kind of ads do pop up on my screen. It's an obvious scam yet YouTube still allows it to display, they'll be branded as a shilling platform of scam by this kind of ads.

I think they are aware of this drama since I've already read some articles circulating mainstream related to this yet until this time it still exists. More like poor management on my end.

The same scam: make a deposit and get a double (less or higher) rate in bitcoin back. There are a few scam give away on Youtube in 2019 and 2020 Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5198456.0)

When it really comes to money, people have the tendency to be easily fall as victims especially during this time of pandemic. But as for me, I don't really care much about the ads that appear whether in YouTube or other social media platform. I tend to close them immediately as long as the timer ends. But I know that's not the case for everyone. Some will surely click it and believe it easily. So for us who know better, the least we could to to help other people is to report such activities the first time we see one.

How can they be unaware if it's an ads on their own platform? Is there no DD prior to releasing these ads? At least they should filter anything crypto-related (for example) for manual verification. This is like saying you don't know there's an ad in front of your house when you're the one who paint it yesterday.

Report it to YouTube. These pop up a dime a dozen. Scammers will create these scams faster than you can create threads about them.

Before I post this thread I already reported the profile and the youtube live, this is the second time that I caught the channel so there is a chance they will do this again.

I tried opening the link but I think the account is already gone. At least YouTube is now making actions towards this kind of scam giveaways.

Right now these platforms are now aware about the things happening so they can an immeditealy actions, but still there are some users will continue doing this live to scam other people who is trying to make an investment to the bitcoin.

I thought that youtube have already made their action on these ads but as I've watched another youtube video a while ago, I also saw one ad showing the same scheme. Channel or ads, youtube has to stomp all of them as soon as they are reported.

Right now I found out an advertisement on youtube which is this. If you try to visit this platform it doesn't reach anymore.

For sure the team or person behind these scams are the same people before. Since Youtube is free, they can keep on making these kind of giveaways. I feel sorry for their victims. Hope karma will hit them hard someday as it is not easy to earn money. Hoping for someday, any scammers caught doing these kind of acts will be imprisoned.

I've seen numerous advertisements in youtube like this and they aren't only using Bitcoin but I saw some are using Ethereum and Ripple too.

Just be vigilant. If you are browsing here in the forum more often and you are a newbie investors then many users have warned you regarding scams like this. Don't fall for this trap if possible. Don't believe in crypto doublers like this because it is a complete bullshit. Just see the logic there and think of how they can do it. You're good if you know which are scam and which are not because some doesn't know which is which. Make a basis and think twice or even thrice. Ask some "LEGIT" experts too before investing because they can help too.

It looks like most of your time is on youtube right now on this quarantine.

By the way, this is not a new thing right now there are a lot of members already report this kind of scenario and this is a good thing giving information to the members and how does it goes and spread the awareness. Even we are spreading this kind of news there are some newbies fall on this kind of investment because if the people or know people with their lives and examine is Elon musk there are a lot of youtube live is using his name just to scam other people.

If you see this kind of life and any advertisement it's better immediately report to stop spreading the wrong information which is giving a bad image to the bitcoin not only this coin also the Eth and the xrp

Obviously,  scammers in YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Telegram, it is not a new case, and it would not be a last case.
Steady information need to pass across if such found in any of the forum, because scammers are active in YouTube and other social media.

Yes, as faster as speed of light, but this would help in future, I recently knew about YouTube BTC and ETH giveaways nowadays as the new strategy used now so its now in my DNA that such YouTube is scam. So same would happen to newbies that gets this information for the first time and prepare for future if s(he) sees such again.
This all gets effective because users and beginners trooping into the crypto space are more eager to quick money scheme without wanting to learn, read, watch useful videos, they are just ignorance on themselves, this ignites the mindset of what they have been told that bitcoin is a fast money scheme, they grow the hunger of getting it as quick as possible. There is no way this incidence could be avoided because scammers planning new ways of getting the noons at all times.
Greed results in losses. Control your greed and being safe!
This is exactly the cause of this, those greedy ones find it difficult to pay a sum for learning, other than looking for a money doubling platform and looting giveaways.

Yes, that could be that low in level of scamming but remember that the intertnet has huge audience especially in social media and if it is being advertise then pretty sure one will think that it is legit especially that most of the users know that ads in or videos in youtube are filtered and consider as legit so high chances many will still get scam. But this will not work on us because we were able to join this forum and knows about scamming strayegy. This I think if not been reported on youtube will possibly make others to fall for it.

Sad to say that they use bitcoin or cryptocurrency for scamming. When will this people stop and get a real job? They have skills in internet but why not make a living in a decent way?

Well, there are various of them on youtube, and when I saw a potential video that I think is a scam I usually report this to the youtube site. Just simply find on the bottom of the top and click the report. The more count of the number will report, --the faster the video will become to delete, and bringing here in our community is the best way to helping us each other to report the scam video. Indeed right, this is an old trick and only noob, naive and lazy people will always fall on this trap. Once they will always exist they are the feeder to the scammer, poor them.

I think because of this pandemic outbreak they cannot go back to their jobs because some of the country right now are still struggling with this virus and one of the thing they can do is doing this kind if job and scamming other people who are just starting to make an investment.

Scams like this are indeed low level scams and surely people who have been in the crypto world for a long time will not be trapped by this kind of scam method. But the targets they set are people who are beginners and don't yet understand how cryptocurrency works. Giveaway streaming like on YouTube has many victims who believe in the gifts that will be given after sending some ETH and BTC. If you find a stream like this, it's better to report it immediately, so that it's quickly blocked.
