I have planned to create a video on bitcoin in my local language in order to create awareness among local users. Although there are a lot of videos on bitcoin in my local language, none of them are correct or shared right information. Most of them are misleading which is a great threat towards the adoption here in my local.
So, I thought to stand up and create video with useful and right information. I have checked most of the videos and created a list of all the misleading information. Planned to discuss on these matters. However, I need your suggestion. I want to make a killing video which will be the best one in my local language so that everyone can get the correct information.
For your info, I'm not a youtuber, have not created much professional video. I have talked with one of my friends for making my video more impressive.
So, where can I start? What should I give priority?
Here's the plan-
1. Will share a clear idea of what bitcoin is.
2. Will discuss about the technical part as much as possible (As much as need to learn as an user).
3. Will bring the misleading information and correct them.
4. Will talk about the benefits of using it.
5. Will show some real adoptions worldwide.
What do you think? Will it be enough or I should talk about more?

The provided information is fine. If you want to make a short film, you should not overload people with technical knowledge and information otherwise they'll get bored real quick. Rather more general information about Bitcoin and general understandable basis is better. Create an interesting video which filled with easy to understand information. The video should be entertaining too or else nothings want to watch it. And if you want them to become too interested in your video show them some of the things you bought with bitcoin.

I will include very less technical information, basically the technical part of wallet, how tx works. In fact, the very necessary information in order to avoid any misleading information. Of course, I will not include something which may a newbie get bored of.

Great initiative OP i would like to give you some recommendations.

Since you are dealing with different points it would be better to make a serie of short videos, of 5 min. with each one of the points, because if you make a long video not all the peopleo will full watch it, so is better to give them the list of the topics and let them decide if they want to skip some of those points.

1. Making you video of high quality will be good.
2. You also need to address the issue of scammers, how people can protect their wallet from hackers, how to sight crypto scam and avoid. You should iterate and reiterate about scam.
3. Technical parts like choosing the best wallet is necessary.
4. Let them know about p2p, kyc, custodial and noncustodial exchanges is necessary.
5. Also emphasizing how kyc can be extremely dangerous.
6. Let them know about phishing and dust attack and why need to be careful
7. You need to let them know the trading and investing aspect. And how trading aspect could be risky.
8. Also let them know about mining and how it is in the recent time.

This is so nice OP. What kind of video are you making. Is it a vlog of you talking, or animation, or documentary like. I agree with @seoincorporation, try making a series of short video. Different topic and area of focus per vid. We are living now in the age of social media and if you want to engage the viewers, try making it short. We all have short attention span.

Try starting with the history of bitcoin so they could easily understand how and why is it created. History of btc somehow explains the reasons why some people says it is used for illegal activities. Don't jump into technical aspect right away. I learned about basic of bitcoin through videos, and those set of videos are 5-10 mins only.

Making animated infographic video about bitcoin is also good for people to visualize it much clearer.

Showing cartoons will make it much fun to watch so that people who will see it will have interest to it.

This idea is really good to somehow help bitcoin adoption for some people. By this video that you are going to make, they will have an idea about how bitcoin works, and why bitcoin is importance to an individual and to the society. Hoping that you made a video for anyone, a video that is easy to understand and not so complicated.

A simple Bitcoin video will do for as long as the explanation is simple and on point. It is just basically a what, why, and how of Bitcoin. A few of them could be:

1. What is Bitcoin? What is blockchain? What is decentralization? What is distributed ledger? What are nodes? What is Bitcoin mining?
2. Why use Bitcoin? Why is Bitcoin important? Why is Bitcoin immutable? Why does Bitcoin mean freedom?
3. How does Bitcoin work? How to use Bitcoin? How to protect your Bitcoin? How to tell whether a Bitcoin wallet is secure or not?

These are basic questions of someone who has just heard of it. If they are totally new to Bitcoin, these are also the most probable questions they would ask as a newcomer.  

For me, you can do separate videos tackling different topics so it won't be too much information in one video. It's better to focus on a single topic per video than discussing everything because bitcoin can be a wide topic. It might become boring watching a single video with tons of information.

Also, I'm wondering if how will you create a video? Will you use animation or not? But I think your list is already enough if you are planning to combine together in a single video. Then ask your viewers the questions they have or something that they don't understand so you can elaborate it to them.

Perhaps a short description of how the fiat system works firstly? You can not understand Bitcoin correctly if you don't know how the fiats work.
As for people suggesting to make short videos instead, I would say it isn't needed if you're doing it à la documentary. Otherwise in case of animation or vlog, yes, short videos will convert better.

If you plan to debunk other videos, you should do it in a separate video since it will have a better influence and you shouldn't mix things


1. How the fiat system works
2. What is Bitcoin
3. Pros and cons with arguments and examples
4. Technical part, should be only with newbie level in mind
5. Adoption with arguments and concrete examples done

These points are the minimum to cover, depending on the length of the video there are much more to give

As for people saying KYC is dangerous, this is pure bullshit that users repeat over and over here, people do not look further their nose. The funny thing is 1 line above you add KYC and custodial accounts are necessary :D

Good initiative! First of all, from my experience I can say, I am one of them who suggest above to don't make your video much longer. Otherwise, viewers will discourage to watch the full video. Rather than it, you may create part by part like part -1 and so on. Better starting with Bitcoin history from the beginning, like what was the goal, development process, etc. The main thing that should highlight technology, it's quite important. There is more related object you may create part by part like choose proper wallet and kind of wallet. Yea, there are many wrong thoughts in people's minds, so you may make it clear. No one was professional Youtubers at the beginning, so start and you will be a professional someday.

I also thought of this before but my lazy ass kicks in meeh.

My idea was to create 2 different videos, one is the most basic about bitcoin and the other is the technical, so viewers could just watch the 2nd video when they fully understand the fundamentals of bitcoin to deeply know how it really works. Try to label it *for beginner* and *for advanced*, or you can create 3 if you want to. I appreciate your intention giving awareness for the people about bitcoin, I'll support this when this comes out.

When you makes a video You doesn't make a plan, You makes a script/screenplay.


Before the script, suggestions:

- A single video is no good, unless you create a viral video in the crypto area. (-Hard-)

- Think carefully if you want to compete against other Youtubers or simply want to reach a target audience. Never compare yourself to other Youtuber. They the mediocrity, you the expert.

- Never forget, quality content at the beginning has very few views, but in the long term they will arrive.
But you should know that it can be months and even years, but as I always say if the message reaches a person, you are happy.

- Don't pretend to make your first perfect video.

Important, configure your country as the main one so that your video has more projection in the area you want or the "niche", if you join Google Ads, I don't know if it is available now there is a $ 100 credit bonus, in any case create a campaign invest some money if you really want to achieve your goal.

- Bitcoin - what is it? Why use it?
- Wallets - How to choose? How to use? How to be secure?
- Clarify the misleading informations
- Scams & Exploits
- Adoption
  

I think you are missing the most important part wallets. Because without wallets you can't use bitcoin or store bitcoin if you want. So, you should definitely talk about the wallets. Most of the users of my country use the coinbase wallet which is a centralized wallet. It will be grate if you introduce them with the public wallets like Electrum.

That's a big one. You can't really understand why Bitcoin counts unless you have a reasonable understanding of the basics of fiat too.

There should also be an emphasis on decentralisation and why it's built around it and why it's so important. The friction it can sometimes create is usually why it's the first thing people want to chuck out the window but without that there'd be nothing to chuck. It's a subject that often isn't explained or thought through properly.

A content video to achieve the desired goal must have adequate time for each social network.

Since you mentioned that there are a lot of local videos that do not shared the right information, then you can create a videos about the facts about Bitcoin your 5 points are all good you just include links to your sources to make it as credible as possible, I agree with you that there are a lot of hype about Cryptocurrency without stating much about the facts, so concentrate on facts.

Nice initiative. Hmm I suggest something for your very first video. Before proceding on the introduction or anything else please tell them "Bitcoin is not a scam!". I'm sure you can easily caught their attention. Your audience tend to get interested on your video since you are contradicting their wrong beliefs. They will get triggered thus look forward on your explanation on how you able to say that bitcoin is not a scam and then sooner or later they will realize that you're right. Voila! More followers to come (I just hope they are not close minded). To become more effective, why don't try to put the sentence itself on the thumbnail of your video.

Since you already have a target audience (your local countrymen), you can make an entertaining videos like doing some animations, insert some memes to make it more alive. Audience wanted to watch not boring and not long videos.
About the topic, most of them are very confused about bitcoin.

-Make a good introduction about bitcoin.
-How it can be used.
-Why is it considered as store value.

And lets be honest here, audience is very much interested on how we can earn through bitcoin. If you'll gonna give out an overview on ways to earn with bitcoin (just state some ideas first how can we gain from it) , they will gonna be interested about it and will look forward to your next videos.

Think of expaining bitcoin in very primitve terms, use comparison with other things. Like what is mining? It is something of a guy with processing power who provides transactions for BTC network.
Also expalin how much faster and cheaper BTc transactions are world wide than other popular options like Paypal and western union.

It's a good idea to use video as a medium for learning bitcoin for ordinary people in your area. What needs to be paid attention is that the content must be solid and clear, the explanation uses language that is easy to understand. The video duration should not be too long either, because most people will be bored with explanatory videos that are too long. then pack Bitcoin Video content with good narration or text so they will be attracted.

and the last is to spread the video so that it is affordable for everyone. upload videos on social media that are widely used by people in your area. so that they can share with other people.

Since you have made it in local board and people in your local board confirmed it as interesting one,try as possible to extend it to public boards were masses will view it and make correction if necessary for correction and also know the important or the help it can render to bitcointalk community.
If the example and the explanation is a welcomed development people will like to add more ideas that will enhance it's betterment.

I do think you should start the video by saying how during the pandemic the banks and all are at a stage where they can break anytime , how people like Warren Buffet are thinking of selling their stocks , how the Gold is climbing so high that it's technically impossible for a common man to invest in something that might be the solution , that might be the way to make sure that when these markets go down , you don't go down with them.

There are already many good videos online , what you have to do is to attract now only potential investors but also the economists , the common man , it's going to be a hard task , but at the same time you can even share the stories of people who are Preety successful because of bitcoins.

It's not always the people who Invested in bitcoins when it first started but even the people who are right now looking for expanding their businesses worldwide and don't have to worry about waiting days to get the approval of the banks.

Honesty I do think if bitcoins were accepted more widely , our situation will improve tons , the thing is if my college started accepting Bitcoins as a payment for the fee , my parents won't have to spend like 100$ to make sure it reaches them then wait for like 10 days for an international transfer.

Look for something that the audience can connect with and engage them .

I think you should target the interest of the people nowadays. Why don't you relate your video about bitcoin to the generation right now?

People are into the use of technology right now, most of the people are gamers. If you relate bitcoin into a gaming industry, I think this will somehow become effective.

I just don't really want people to become ignorant about how beneficial and advantageous this bitcoin is. Your video is most likely become a tool for bitcoin adoption and can effect the market heavily, hoping that you finished your video with passion and goal. Just make it understandable and explanatory so that they know how bitcoin works and affect an investor.

This concept is not new. Most likely, a person just collected a few theses that have been lying on the Internet for a very long time and put them into one big concept. In General, this is a good job and most importantly useful. Just those who are in the topic have long been aware of these theses and successfully use them.

I think this a good idea. Even if there are already such videos in your language you should still go for it.
Provide information that is missing in those videos. Also I think you should put more focus on the benefits of bitcoin since that is what the people will be attracted on.
Also, you should consider reading the comments in those videos of your local language hence you will be able to address those people and this will reach out to more people.

Make an infographic of it, it is the most easiest way for them to understand so many things, it will also help them to understand everything by the use of that thing, you may also do some interview first , that is the perfect introduction of the video for me, it will be good if there is something like that, and it will help the viewers to have an insight what will happen for the next minutes they are about to watch that videos, and what will going to learn.

I think you've got a pretty good set up established to start off with.  Once you start filming and going through thing I'm sure that you'll think of other things that are important. I would make sure you mention it's origin, how Satoshi is an anonymous figure as he knew the importance of no central authority/figure head.  When it comes to Technical's I would keep it as simple as possible or if you do explain more complex tech features, also explain what you're saying in layman's terms. 

In making youtube video about bitcoin,make it short,simple,interesting and it explain bitcoin in a short content but clear. Avoid making video that makes the viewers bored or else they will lose interest in bitcoin or cryptocurrency because they didn't understand it.

The most reasons in my area about the Bitcoin is that they still think that BTC is something:
1. Illegal and criminal, so try to make a video that ensures the prospect of BTC accepted in many more countries, a video that ensures that BTC is not only used for illegal or criminal things.
2. Bitcoin is considered as a very risky thing. So, try to give the viewers through the video about the risks and also profits in very easy ways. However, never only give the profits because whatever, BTC still offers risks, moreover for new people.
3. Bitcoin is related to scam. Well, many people still think about it because there are so many scams that they can find. So, better to give information on how to avoid scams and also not to believe such very big things that lead to scams.
4. The use of BTC in the real world.
5. The probabilities of taking profits from BTC easily.

You should start with the idea of how bitcoin works. Don't put too much technical terms because some of these are really hard to digest so, if you can simplify the terms or even the meaning of it, much better.

Keep it short and simple. Don't make a 30-minute video because the attention span of a person only takes a few minutes so, make sure that in a short clip, you somehow discuss where should they engage and where they shouldn't. Discuss not only the benefits but also the cons of using bitcoin.

You can make a separate video for every topic so it wont get long and boring for your viewers.

I think you need to find a balance between facts and art. Otherwise, this video will be boring.

Break down your rules into chapter go for the easiest part avoid language that they do not understand or replace it with easy to understand analogy, it's much easier if you do it in a FAQ frequently asked question type of video or better ask your targeted people what will they asked so you will have an idea.
