I observe that the NEO coin has been sideways for more than a year in the 0.00156BTC-0.00160BTC range. I want to invest some in this coin. Is this the best price range yet?

If you don't know the reason why you are buying and holding that's a coin, then do not put your money or do some investment/trade. Always keep in your mind, to have the reason why you are buying and holding that's coins not just because the price side away or down a lot. If you asking some people about to enter, they always talk and give you advice all prediction based on their own speculation "DYOR and DWYOR" when following their advice.

 That is a 10 day chart. It was obviously pumping well. So if you'll gonna invest and buy it right now, I don't think it's a good entry.
 But if you are still on doubt, there are still ways to find out when is the right time for buying entry. If you know how to read technical analysis preferably indicators, you'll not gonna seek some advice here and decide for yourself about this kind of thing.
 
 Anyway, it's you choice to invest and hold some neo. Just let it subside a little or wait for dump so you'll be ready to get some profits after holding it. You can also consider other altcoins aside from neo. They give more potential progress and profits.

The best price is not easy to trace as volatility  are really active to this market, you have to understand the very reason why the coin
will move, aside form staking gas I don't see anything from this project. You need to do your research that's the best advice as you'll
bringing your money to something that you are not sure which ways the market will lead you. Be very active with their community and
try to go deeper so you'll be expecting things that will bring great outcome with your investment.

This is a bad idea because NEO have already taken off, too costly presently, I have interest in this coin as well and I could have buy few when it was trading at 7$ to 10$ range but I don't have much money at the time, presently Neo is trading at 17$ per coin, it will be a huge loss if bears attack the market.

Well if it dips, it should be a good time to buy. One good reason to actaully invest on NEO is GAS. It hasn't taken off, you still can ride on it. If people are buying ETH while th pe price is almost $400, they will still profit once it goes further up.

The fact that this project has good support and also starting to get more dapps on it, it will grow. It grew unnoticed by investors. Its price is even way higher than the popular platforms like WAVES, EOS and TRON.

I'd call NEO a dead coin. I've been following them from the start and was a long time holder since they were Antshares. I personally made some profit on selling NEO but I again bought them to stake. I staked them for a long time yielding nothing. The price of coin+GAS were much less than what I paid for and ever since I sold them for loss, they haven't had any significant increase. Though the team reaches every crypto related conference talking about NEO 2.0, they have zero strategy to increase the adoption of their blockchain.

There should be a reason why you are holding a coin for long term. Remember that trend changes as the year goes by.
This coin was founded in 2015 and rebranded in 2017 been called smart economy system. I haven't noticed a significant growth in their deveolopment so far. I you have any other reason unknown to people, you may choose to other wise, I suggest you do your own research into some other alts on the market.
Isn't just about the price but what it can change that can result to massive demand of its little supply

No one can predict exact tops and bottoms but yes neo seems to find support range and it is ranging here for months which could be a sign of accumulation before big rally so maybe good time to enter now.

NEO has already started to enter into the bullish zone and the pattern has already shown a signal to the pump.

You must also see the fundamental of NEO too and it's clearly announced by the developers if there will be a big update to the NEO platform. It will be more scalable, complex and suitable to be used for the defi development.

NEO is one of the top coins to hold I still remember how it punped hard during last bull season and changed the financial standing of most if its investors now neo is again gearing up for big moves up.

in my opinion this is a good price to invest in NEO, because NEO is one of the good projects to invest in (top 100 on coinmarketcap) and the price will definitely increase very high, therefore I advise you to buy NEO at this price, because you will definitely get a big profit by investing in NEO at this time.

Neo is one of my favorite coins, it is also called the chinese ethereum but i think people expected much more from neo and that is why we saw big bear trend after last bull run, now that neo is coming up with major developments im hopefully of another bull season for neo in coming months.

I think you should be able to mention what kind of good projects you can rely on at NEO because if you say only good projects there are many good projects besides NEO, therefore you have to be able to provide specific explanations so investors and whales who have lots of money can find out the advantages of the projects that NEO developed compared to other projects.

yes, there is nothing wrong if you want to keep investing in neo but reputation also determines whether we need to continue because of course at times like this many potential altcoins that continue to grow are better used for better altcoins, if there is enough capital why not just bitcoin.

It's better you search for more about that coin, so you know if you need to invest on Neo or not. But maybe you can buy some amount first to see if that coin is good for you or not.
While the price is not too high, I think you can buy it right now, but that is only after you analyze the coin.

I remember when NEO spiked to about 200$ due to China rumors of adopting the NEO blockchain, with drastic loss for those who FOMO in and bought the top. NEO is a good pick if you ask me, but they've not been the best lately looking at development. I'm not holding NEO presently since I have a limit for altcoins I hold at a time, but it's on my watchlist. NEO has been giving updates but compared to a few other top projects, they are lagging a bit. They earlier announced crosschain features together with Ontology, COSMOS and NEAR, still waiting to see what NEO3 release brings.

investing in a top and front runner coin won't go worthless ever. But, you should eye on the rate of return while you are investing in a particular asset. I suggest you invest in NEO is good but not the best as you know these coins are already gone many ways in terms of giving the return for the investors. So, invest in NEO half of your funds as it is a risk-free asset because of the wide demand of the coin. But, you should consider other new coins which are new in the market but must keep an eye in the volume of trading also.

I rather not invest into something when it is going high so much, just a month ago the price of neo was around 11.5 dollars, nowadays it is over 18 dollars, that is a huge increase, I rather not invest when it is at over 18 dollars, it would be smarter if you invested when it was under 12 dollars.

Now, I understand that many people could think that "how could we know when it was under 12 dollars it would have gone over 18 dollars" which is a solid question, however the answer is not "if you missed out under 12 dollars, invest over 18 dollars", that is not a solution neither. So, I would say the best case for you right now is to wait for it to drop in order to invest again. Now, you know what is low and what is high, if it goes down under 14 dollars again, you could check to see if you should get in.

The bullrun will come when the NEO has a big event. This time is different with the ico bubble. People were taking big event as the main key to pump the price.

NEO once named as Chinese Ethereum but seems it was not relatively to use now,ethereum stays number 2 and making Good pump together with Bitcoin.

Neo was 10$ when I got it but later I sold for 12$ but now NEO is now trading at 18$ which is so impressive, before the year runs out the price can reach 30$, just a guess and know that nothing is guaranteed, it's not too late to buy

To me i would say yes, neo is a good project for long term, yes we know the buzz for the coin is a bit down since last bull run but sometimes it is not just about the hype you should only invest but about the fundamentals of a project,  know what neo is capable of, see all the previous and present activities, achievements of the team and the ones yet to be achieved then decide.

You can invest on NEO, it's a very reliable altcoins and also the best after Ethereum, good for long term holding too, I'm not surprised it's on top 10 list of coinmarketcap, it's possible the price will keep going up for long time to come unless bear market come out of nowhere

I agree, when I saw this price at $10 I was seriously contemplating whether to buy or not at the end I gave up the idea but now I actually regret not buying because neo of back in 2017 was very hot and everyone wanted neo, I still believe the price can go alot higher,  am just hoping it will dump a bit so I can get in,  Neo can surprise many people in the next bull market.

The NEO CEO has sold out all of the NEO tokens and currently, the NEO development team is working slowly. They allegedly dictated the speed of the blockchain when sending money in real-time. I think the project is over and the development projects on the NEO blockchain have left after that, they moved to EOS, the Binance chain.

@ 18$ I feel it's not safe but if Bitcoin keeps remaining bullish NEO can move up to 20$ per coin or more so at this junction it's more risky than when it's was at 9$, you need to understand the risk first before making decisions here

From the last couple of months neo is performing well if bullish market keeps its current moment then your investment in neo may be beneficial personally I think it can be risky to invest in neo for long term but it may be profitable in day trading so if you're good enough in trading then you should consider on this point.

If I were you I would move away from most of these old coins, there are many people holding the bags and this is what is keeping them down unless they come up with the next big thing. The bag holders will keep dumping them and the price will not go up. The investors are just waiting for the new investors to take their bags.

Neo is a great project with a solid team, the rank, the trading volume, the circulation supply are good. But the general lesson before investing in any coin is to do your own research

I am amazed by seeing that the OP comes to this forum after more than 7 months and asked some suggestions about NEO token buying and gone again. I don't think the user will come again here in a short period and actually he need this advice. Maybe he could not find how he starts again and just asked some suggestions about NEO. We should avoid this thread to post. 

Its being long since there is any update about NEO. It is just like other coin LTC and Wave however, if you want to invest in NEO I will suggest you accumulate little by little. Most importantly when the coin is at deep. Even though anything can happen at anytime, I'm very sure you know you should be thinking of long term investment and not short term

I think neo has been left behind by most new projects. There are old projects that have same purpose with eth that has not improved. Im saying this cause most new defi prefer either eth platform, or polkadot new subtrate. Among other things, neo does not have any progress on launching anything related to defi so its gonna be a tough competition so seeing that must be the reason of it being stuck.

Make sure you buy only when there is dump in price, don't buy at 18$ but if price goes down to old ATH last month you can buy, crypto investment is all about calculations and timings, is twice safer to buy at lower price than buying at high price

You must have a definite reason you're choosing that, probably you have been studying it for a while and you can  foresee something.  I know NEO to be one of the top altcoins, it's not bad if you invest in it, but must have a tangible reason why you're choosing any coin to invest in.  All the best.

If i were you i would, but just about 20% of my investment capital,  i think NEO is still a promising coin, it is still very competitive in the cryptocurrencies market. But do not put all eggs in one basket, except NEO, i will invest in the other two or three cryptocurrencies.

seems that the price trend of NEO is going up, seems right time to buy but still weigh your possible scenarios here before buying one. though the chart is saying that NEO is on the rise, but make sure there is substantial reasoning behind such rise because it is not too easy to trust your funds for something you are in doubt to begin with.

I have been watching the NEO update regularly and there was no something interesting from the development progress of NEO. This time neo looks over priced coin compared with another coin like chainlink.

I have been following NEO for a long time and recently, in the end, I have decided to make investments in NEO. Because it has potential in its growth to grow more in upcoming years.

Their recent partnership with bsnbase is dope, and I'll be joining their AMA in the subreddit on 28th of this month. It cannot be denied that NEO is one of the best coins. Even though on Coinmarketcap, NEO is in the 20th position. However, when it comes to value, NEO is better than other coins.
It may be of interest to me that the supply of NEO is not very high, so there are many opportunities to generate high value prices.

I think people shouldn't invest even small amounts of money in NEO. Now, this project looks very sad. I do not believe that they will be able to survive in this market because young projects are doing 100 times more developments

I don't think NEO is still competing in this crypto market because the name is starting to become unfamiliar to me, even to many other investors in the market, although every year signal groups have a discussion about NEO, old investors analyze its price chart but the number of times is getting less and the most pessimistic scenario is that we will not realize it for the nearest day. The market has many new potential bright spots than ever, we do not need to capital in an old coin, profits are not as attractive as the new altcoin.

NEO is for me a coin that belongs to sleeping coins. Who knows if they really work on development or they admire that they already lost the fight with Ethereum because in 2016-2017 was NEO introduced as Ethereum killer.

The little by little investment should be done for everything, I know a friend who uses a "bot" that is not a trading bot like everyone uses, it is just a portfolio bot that makes his portfolio like he loves and he arranged however he wishes whenever he puts new money into it the bot manages to divide it equally and so forth.

So, every 2-3 months he puts some money in there, and the portfolio bot manages to use that money to divide it however he wants amongst the coins he wants and so forth, that way he always puts some money into different coins constantly at every level, low or high. I may end up using that one day. Having said that, you could put NEO into your portfolio slowly, but by all means do not go all-in to neo, it is not a coin like that at all.

I probably wouldn't invest in NEO at the moment. I still remember back in 2017 there was a big hype about NEO for beging the new chinese ethereum.
Now 3 years have gone by and there are so many more competitors around now that i don't think that NEO will reach it's ATH in the foreseeable future.

I'd rather find a new NEO wannabe project just as how DIA Oracle DeFi project is on same level with ChainLink today, NEO is an old strong altcoin but it's better to invest on such coin if they lose big value, let's say 7$ per token not while it's 18$ per token now

I noticed Neo has experienced some increasing movements lately and I really don't know what's behind the increase, but I still believe that the increase would be continuous as the worth of the Neo is still undervalued.

To be honest i see the graph are really good to buy but we all dont know what will happen the future. Looking base on it history it would be great to get in. As bitcoin are still stable at the moment. Most of altcoins movements are effected by bitcoin movement so i would buy what ever that still not pumping.. Who know you hit a pump.

I remember Neo was once a very bright project, as people felt that the project would at least make a substantial impact in the cryptocurrency space. I was surprised to see that the value had decreased substantially, though they've been some increase in the value, but I really don't know if this increase is sustainable.

You need to know why you want to buy NEO. The project was suppose to be a kind of competition with ETH where other projects can list. What have they been doing. Follow up on the developers if there is anything new.

To answer it, it is a very good project, it has solid fundementals. I think that it is better than ETH in general and has more potential but as you can see it has not gotten anyway close the traction of eth. Maybe just because eth better known.

When this project "NEO" was launched it had good potential. Some people called it better than Ethereum. But as time has gone it couldn't fulfill all the prospects to become or come closer to ETH. In the current market, it has a good price chart or graph whatever you say but I don't see any reason to buy NEO now. It already pumped because of the bitcoin price pump. So I won't recommend you to buy NEO now, you can go for other coins now.

I wouldn't touch it because there's nothing in this coin that's amazing. It hasn't achieved anything significant and is not run by people I'd trust with my money. Not a scam but nothing special either.

Unfortunately, no one can guarantee that a project is good or bad because it all depends on the development and from the projects they develop. IEO is only a bridge between investors and developers who borrow the good name of the exchange to provide support for the projects offered.

It's not so good as another altcoin at this moment and is not it better to stick into the another altcoin called DOT? Even it has already surpassed NEO in term of market capitalization and that means it's more promising than NEO. NEO is not a bad coin but this is not a hot coin right now.

I think for top ranking coins like Neo you should buy as fast as you can because the value will continue to go up even in the long run.
so there won't be any problems in the long term as it will continue to follow BTC.
Meanwhile, to do daily trading you have to really pay attention to the current market conditions.

if we dilligent in researching new project that will coming we will find many good project now. look at altcoin price in few weeks ago, especially in uniswap exchanges there are many new token rise extremely . this is good opportunity for us now , cryptocurrency investors look so confidence with current condition. in near future will be better than before.

Liberally, you can invest on NEO, it's somehow improve right now according to resarcher,  investing without calculation lead some to invest in a wrong time. But if you have large capital it's better to invest in ETH.

There are a lot of altcoins now in the market on which are better than Neo in my own opinion only.
Try to explore things more about in the top coins in the market by simply checking the coinmarketcap mate, you may find a lot of new coins
that have potentials were it can give us a nice profit in the future I think. But this is just a thought that came from me only,
of course, the final decision still yours.

Since the founder of NEO created a DeFi project that uses Neo blockchain in my opinion investing in NEO is highly recommended but if you can it's better to invest in that DeFi project because looking for is the DeFi Hype itself is good choice, it could be a DeFi token from Neo after listing the performance is not inferior to DeFi from Ethereum and also Polkadot, but i don't know if you want to join due diligence first because this is just a suggestion.

Gas payments are on binance if I am not wrong, there are plenty of staking coins actually getting stake on binance as well, so I feel like you do not have to make a permanent decision when you are buying NEO. For example just put your money into binance which is already the biggest exchange anyway and use that money to buy NEO there and wait for it and when you receive your GAS just see if you like it or not, or even before you receive it as well, you can make quick decisions.

I do not think they have any time period there at all, if you own NEO you get dividends, that's it, you can do it few hours before and you still get it as far as I know. That is why I believe if you really want to do it, do not buy NEO and download wallet or anything, just use Binance and it will be quicker.

It is also showing slight bullish signal when the market is going crazy so its okay to invest but I suggest ethereum over any coins at the moment because at the end of this year ethereum have high chance to reach all time high price or atleast a four digit value due to the hype around defi projects.

NEO is not a new token and has a pretty good price history...
NEO's current price is @ $17. NEO's chance to return to ATH is also very large, so I can say that buying NEO right now is a good decision because the chances of returning to ATH are very large.

if I see NEO has a great future because NEO has its own network, large exchangers, low total supply and high volume in each exchanger besides that there are always positive updates that are made nothing to lose if you invest in NEO because it will give profit in the future

Why should you ? From my opinion, we better invest our money in Ethereum coin.
Or DEFI related projects, because many good and promising projects has been created with DEFI purpose.
But if you found a good information that i still don't know about NEO, you can buy it.

The NEO coin is still pumping at the moment. If i were you i would wait some more, wait till it subside but thats just me and nothing is really sure when it comes to these coins. Its anyones guess if you made the right choice or not.

NEO are having a strong price increase from early August until now. And if you look at day or week time on its chart, the trend is still increasing and the nearest level price that it can reach is 20.8 USD

As long as you have a clear and valid reason to hold a coin, whether it is NEO or whatsoever, then go for it. But keep in mind that not all chart readings or even such sideways movements could lead to a bullish price, as there are still many factors to consider before investing in cryptocurrency. I see NEO even back then that it has a lot of opportunities and a good system, even I had a little holdings in it. Hence, invest only a little on it if you aren't sure with what could be the outcome, so you wouldn't worry with risks it had.

I don't think NEO is a good altcoin to invest in right now. Why don't we buy new defi tokens? it is having a very good growth over the past time. Solana especially, it is one of the hot tokens of defi right now. instead of investing in NEO and waiting a few years to grow a few dozen percent, you should choose SOL. from now until the end of the year, the SOL will rise as low as $ 6 from current prices, because behind it are huge manipulation organizations and possibly pushing its prices higher.

It is still without a doubt one of the best projects in the market but what happens is that the market moves in cycles and right now NEO is not performing as well as other coins because of this market cycle, however this can be an opportunity to buy it for a reasonable price and then make money over to long term but obviously this should only be done if you are completely convinced that a coin is going to go up in value during the next years and you can hold your coins no matter what.

NEO is a good altcoin and am still holding a fragment since the crash of 2018. I have not been following on the development, but the latest/current movement in price is a reflection of what is going on behind the scenes. You can research more about it and find concrete reasons to buy & hold.

if neo can break the resistance thats will be a good idea if you buy this coin now, but if the price break the support maybe the price will falling down

Neo blockchain is an open source platform. Only a few years ago NEO was one of the most popular coins. We passed only 1 month that Neo blockchain has over 1 billion volumes. But the price isn't as high as the last bullrun. The top 20 coins made a bullrun but the Neo pump is almost twice, still has a lower price than others.

DEFI is a new trend that has a lot of hype and many investors don't really understand it to invest in. I think NEO still a bit better when to be considered it with any new DeFi projects. Of course, it may not have a very high ROI in a short amount of time like DeFi but it less risky. And NEO has some good pump like the one in today which increases 20% so NEO is a very worthy investment.
