Title: Saito: Come help us test our games!
Post by: Lunatic_Pandora on August 26, 2020, 11:37:31 AM
Saito is a blockchain that can pay for itself at scale. The Saito Arcade, a proof-of-concept for the network, it's a gaming site where you can experience what Saito can do. It allows people to play popular boardgames with no need for Metamask, using complex, open-source apps running completely on-chain that can be developed by anyone.

Come play some Wordblocks or have a nice game of Poker and give it a try!

Check out the platform here at https://saito.io/    (https://saito.io/)

I don't believe Li Xiaolai, Bobby Lee and Roger Lim has really tried your product I really doubt it multiple times. What's with downloading the Saito whenever I opened the site? By the way, I played the Chess game and voilá it crashes and paused a lot.

This can be for marketing purposes and I played the same game and yes it didn’t response fast so there should be more improvement with the games and It should be market well here so people will not just try but to really play on this site, also no need to mention popular players especially without proof.

Your "How it works" page isn't SSL secured. I think you need to get to fix that because everyone wouldn't come by to visit and check the website if it will already pop as a not secure webpage. Also, the domain for that page is 'saito.tech'.
I've clicked to play the chess game but why is it that it has redirected me to the Twilight struggle?

Before i click, what kind of incentive do we get to try it out?
Any free bonus coins or something like that, or free games?

Title: Re: Saito: Come help us test our games!
Post by: Ryker1 on August 26, 2020, 10:27:06 PM
Well, upon visiting the site I clicked the [Learn more about] to see the FAQ and TOS but I noticed that the SSL is not safe. It should be the same page and not open by the same tab, --but that is not a big deal. Perhaps others it made annoyed.
That is a good site that has various games and perhaps there is a promotion soon to test your site and how does it work, the chess game. [as your title says to test your games]

Is this an official announcement thread?

The interface and gaming experience is smooth (already tested the poker and chess). Only saw 3 games with active rooms.

No need to deposit am I right (since I able to play or for now everyone can access those games)? Aside from requesting the Saito community to have that token and doing those mini-tasks, what are the other ways to acquire it?

Is this Saito thing already in the market and actively trading? What will be the benefit of the gamblers if the token has no value? Thru P2P in your forum?

It appears all this games are free to play so that is nice but how many people in total are playing them?
Looks like only few of them are active if any at all.
There should be some statistic with more information shown, and I think there is no gambling here in most of the games.

Yeah, no need to deposit anything. The devs have stated interest in helping anyone willing to bring other tokens to the site to implement those for gambling in games like poker. So far you can only get tokens from using the Saito arcade, as it's not being traded yet, look at this as an opportunity to get on board earlier and have a head start for when it is traded.

since the OP is already a Jr Mem, he can improve his ANN thread to make it more appealing to users. at least give some effort to introduce your gaming site. and discuss briefly how to play their games and other important things about their registration, payment setup and others because they have a bit of different approach here. lil bit confusing for the first time because you need to understand how reg works and the wallet that they are using. or better yet publish FAQ to understand about your site.

This shouldnt be on gambling board yet this do only transacts SAITO.
Next, the websites design isnt really that great where lots of Frames havent been adjusted or in the right size and wasting up soo much space in the middle part.
Its understandable for it to be a space on showing up the queue but it is just too much.

Next, theres no guidelines on how to deposit Saito your own wallet yet its not even listed on any exchanges in the market. So people are dealing with a no value shit token on here?

They need to have some market of their Saito, otherwise, how can you see the value of what you are playing here. Even if via their forum as long as the player can exchange it to usable crypto in the market.

Many gambling sites continue to be promoted here, which means there is still a lot of liking for gambling platforms that continues to increase every day, Saito is a new concept, maybe for me I think this looks interesting, the game of chess and poker is available, that means it will be complemented by other gambling games at future but I would like to know how this site will have a lot of interest in itself.

Need to try it yourself and play how it feels to play if there is comfort maybe it has become fixed.

They are still looking for tester so I guess you are playing with bot since they don't have many users as of now.

As as suggestions to website owner if you want many people try this website you should be prepared to open a contest or giveaway that people will be interested to check that gambling sites you offer. You don't need to use large funds for this just think that you will do it as part of promotion of your site.

I also think the same thing. This might be fake to gather more people to try their website. Since this is a new website, if there are some known personality who will try it, more people will come.

I'm not too technical about this i tried your chess game but it looks like my opponent is not moving is my enemy a real person? i do like that you have many arcade games.
Probably not a real person. I also tried it, the site is still new, there is no way that we can face another person in real time.

The interface can be improved.
The need for an email registration can be encompassed since its a new platform and people might not wanna try giving their private information yet.
Many games are lagging.
Please change the bright color of the letter and boxes.
As i can see you did make something like SAITOtokens , it would be good if you briefed about them.
Improve your Announcement thread.

Best of luck

Its weird bro. I'm not familiar with these kinds of settings. It literally burns my eyes. Can you make it more simple? And smaller those text, too. Don't let those text become too big, they are very very annoying. And you need to fix the color too. The color is not really attractive at all.

Well, that its. Overall, your games look fine. Try to develop it more and make it becomes a unique place for us to come. Hope that you will succeed with what you are pursuing

I support what slapper pointed out. The colors of the website are too bright, and it's painful for eyes. The colors on the arcade page look better. But then it's annoying that every new page has a totally different design and color gamma. I've opened wordblocks, but no matter how and where I was trying to put letters, it just did not work. I'm not saying the game isn't working, maybe it's just me not doing it properly. A short tutorial wouldn't hurt. And also, I'd prefer the chat to be closed by default with a possibility of opening it because when it's open, it's distracting and sometimes obstructing view of important things.

when i play i also close the chat , not only you can see the whole page but it also clear your mind and avoid distractions when playing , also it makes your game smoother or faster .

i dont like the color that is painful in the eye but i love darker colors , anyway you can install add on related to colors or to the brightness of the screen , that helps me . about the game , maybe they have a problem or its a bug .

This one does remind me a lot about when that raiblocks first came out (I forgot what they are called now) and it was really just a scalable way to pay and mine for itself just using capthca. Not exactly a game,,, of course,,, but the same concept of paying for yourself through verified activity:)

It was hard to access via mobile if your browser is not into desktop view. It should be note that beeter use desktop site while browsing it as it brings lose where the game really is due to screen, but it works well when switch to desktop.
The requiremts about opening with email with a choice to skip is fine but maybe not literally in start maybe it can be done when starting to play.
It's good they have forum and chat box but need to add limits because it can cause spam post in the forum, as well a need to adjust the brightness of the screen to be able to play longer. Good thing is that it have many games that we can choose to invite friends to play with.

Do you have twitter page? It is nice also to do some giveaways and bonuses this way it could attract more users and more engagement to your site. Also in my opinion, the color of the site is so bright it's best if you could make adjust the settings since not appealing to the eyes just like what others said.

Some adjustments would make the site much better. As I clicked the site, this is what I've thought.
I have also tried some of their games and just like the other, I have experienced lagging.
I have tried using desktop and mobile but using mobile is much harder.

To be honest, I am a bit confused about how to play games. I am trying to play chess games, but I don't understand how to play because it's different from the chess games. The same thing that when I play solitrio because I don't know how to play it. Maybe there will be guidelines on how to play on every game, so we can learn, or at least, we can understand. It's totally different than the other gambling games that I know.

The site needs to managed more because it's a new gambling site, and the site needs to develop more to get better.
I have the same experience, I can't figure out how to play with other players. I think this site needs more improvement and focus as what players point of view is, I also think that this site is not fully built, Unfinished design is one of the thing I see.

There are some comments here about the color scheme issue that this site use, I think it's subjective but given that they are potential customer, their POV is the most matter the most.

I think the matching players are not working properly or there is a bug. When I try to play a Chess, the right side mentioned as below:
Status: White to move
Opponent: Darkuso@saito

After waiting for a few minutes the players still don't move. If this player is online, he should be moving. The time counter also stuck on "01:00:00"

can't play anything. I tried playing solitiro but the instruction on how to play it that is in the middle of the screen won't move or exit resulting me not being able to move other cards. the other games are PVP and no ones seem to be joining(waited for an opponent for 5 min) or creating a room. it would be nice to have an AI in order to test the games that are PVP.

I  agree with your opinion it will make it easier for them to find more tester so they can able to play PVP games that most users can't play right now. We can't give our review to a game that we can't play it will help to your product as advertisement at the same time help your tester to earn with just small rewards.

First clarify that are you the owner of the site?
And is this the Official ANN thread?
I am also confused that is the site launched or it is yet in beta stage (only available for testing).
Moreover i like games based on blockchain.
Nevertheless before checking the site you could have stated here more information to the site, so that it could have attracted me to visit your site once.
Nevertheless if the site isn't is launched yet then hoping to see the site soon with full transparency and some awesome promotions.
Good luck team.

Yes, we are running on a blockchain, yes you don't need a password, a wallet is automatically generated for you when you go in. If you add your email, the backup will be sent there - if you don't, don't worry you can back-up your private key from the settings menu.

Thank you!

Yes, we are running on a blockchain, yes you don't need a password, a wallet is automatically generated for you when you go in. If you add your email, the backup will be sent there - if you don't, don't worry you can back-up your private key from the settings menu.
Thank you for a quick response! My question again is do you have a whitepaper or roadmap of your developments? This is interesting and I noticed the chatbox is very active. Do you have plans on running an ICO?

Thank you!

You can find our whitepaper on saito.tech (http://saito.tech) and all sorts of info in our blog. There are no plans for ICOs - We are not that kind of project.

I found a bug in chess, I set the game time to 30 minutes, but it was 1:00:00. I thought my game would end at 00:30:00, apparently it skipped and the game ended until around 00:18:00 as far as I remember (42 minutes, beyond my set time).

I think the matching players are not working properly or there is a bug. When I try to play a Chess, the right side mentioned as below:
Status: White to move
Opponent: Darkuso@saito

After waiting for a few minutes the players still don't move. If this player is online, he should be moving. The time counter also stuck on "01:00:00"
When the timer stops, it is your opponent's turn. If you set the game time to 1:00:00, it means that your opponent has left the game in the first place. Maybe you took too long to answer the challenge.

You might want to add more hints to the game. Recently tried to play, joined the game "13 days" and waited a long time for the opponent to do something, then left. I still don't understand why the game didn't start and who is to blame (most likely the opponent)  ;D

It always good to hit the chat just in case the other person is not around before you take a game to prevent that! Invites automatically disappear after a certain amount of inactivity but your opponent could have been alt-tabbed :-D

I didn't do it before I joined the game.  :(
Next time I will know that I will need to do this first. There are few players, which is probably why the opponent has to wait so long.

Perhaps you should make a sound signal that someone is ready to connect to the game and show the person who created the game a notification on which they should click the button. If it does not do this within 15 seconds, the created game is interrupted.

Hey man, this was last night right? I got into a poker game and didn't notice that someone got my chess invite. We mostly use the chat to setup games or ask if someone is around. I played a few games like that yesterday but probably missed yours.

Yeah, that's what i say the matching system of this site site not working properly, the system setting up the games to choose the players who create a room or following the room. but they are not working like that. Someone online but not setting up the game has choosen by system

There is no a matching system atm in the site, the games that are in the arcade, are games from people currently online and looking to play (an open room to join), that means that when you accept you are playing live, but that also means that if the other person is on another tab, watching tv or just afk, they wont move immediately, you can also put a game up and wait a bit so someone to take it or use the chat and find someone to play. Sometimes I have a game up on the arcade and got invited to another game, but since I'm already playing I won't see if someone takes my invite.
