Title: End of 2020, damn it.
Post by: YOSHIE on August 28, 2020, 02:02:28 PM
My head literally exploded and my eyes really hurt seeing the thread in Reputation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0, full of 'quarrels / misunderstandings' between DT vs DT.

One thread has not finished arising two more threads about the same problem, "Is there no way to cool the problem".....!

• Messy, is this 2020, the end of the fire year.
• Could someone bring water to flush and cool them all.
• What is your response to the fires in late 2020, is happening.
• Give one, two of your comments/Advice here.

• Spill over, all the contents of the brain that's boiling over here.
• Do not be shy about telling the truth rather than saving and freezing.

Don't take my words too seriously.
Just think of this thread for a diversion from all what's going on.

PEACE

Unless you're offering some sort of conflict mediation service, I can't think of any ways to settle these various running disputes.  It might be a headache to read sometimes, but it's generally better that grievances are aired rather than covered up.  I guarantee you the problem would be worse if people didn't have a place they could vent, because otherwise it would just spill over into other parts of the board where it isn't wanted (well... more than it already does, I mean).

Best just to put that section on ignore if you're tired of the drama.

It is a shame really. Some of these quarrels could have certainly been solved with much less drama. I have written similar comments before. We are such a small community and instead of growing together, we pull each other down. Live and let others live.

Let's see, Lauda's gone away somewhere; cryptohunter disappeared for a while; and I think 2020 has actually been a relatively drama-free year.  Consider how bad it was in 2018-19 when CH was at his worst and had several members who weren't his alts following in his footsteps.  All of that has calmed down considerably.

DT members have always been arguing with each other, and I don't have a problem with that at all.  It's how issues get settled (usually).  Frankly, I'm glad this forum allows members to argue so freely, because there are other discussion boards where even little disagreements are shut down by the mods.

I don't think there's anything any of us really need to do except to bury our own hatchets, which was Theymos's suggestion a while back.  If it's not your drama, feel free to give your opinion but don't escalate beefs between members, DT or not.

I just have seen the threads between Timelord2067 and hilariousandco. I guess this is has no point at all. Nevertheless, reputation board is now far better than ir was couple of months ago. I used to visit the board for a while back then but now not anymore as ir creates unnecessary dramas only.
I guess someone big influencial like LoyceV and suchmoon can come forward and stop the drama.

Agree with that , that there was this year not so bad as 2018-19 as you have written ! But the year isnt over for now !
cryptohunter just have not posted because he maybe gets banned if he starts again ( that is just a thought , dont know realy why the Account dosnt post anymore)
Anyway he is not disappeared , he just use the many Alt Accounts he have and they show up from time to time.

If it's not your drama, feel free to give your opinion but don't escalate beefs between members, DT or not.
Exactly

wot?

Cryptohunter recently hacked bitcoingirl.club's everything including his btt account, personal email and everything connected. The dude got fucked big time and he did all these to prove a point about LFC's PM's.

Were you living under a rock lately?

sportsbet.io stuff was huge.

Drama we see on the reputation board is not much different than in any other forum. I've been active on various forums for many years now and people always fought and argued over most ridiculous things, so what we see here on bitcointalk is pretty much pbussines as usual.

There is a solution though; those who don't like drama can simply stay away from  that board. And another thing, ignore button is heavily underused here, people should start using it more often.

It is way worse in btt because most people are here only for the sig money and if somebody else gets booted from wearing sigs, it means one less opponent and one more free campaign spot for him and his buddies. Most of the drama you see there in rep is fabricated to stir shit on people.

I would say that most of the things that go on in Reputation are because of many thin-skinned users that subsequently get lambasted for being an idiot. For a section that should be for discussing grey areas when it comes to scam-busting, there is an awful lot of knee-jerk reactionary thread-making and ad-hominem being tossed around.

The cycle repeats on and on, with constant and predictable indignant retaliation and word salads.

But this forum seems to want it that way - we are discouraged to take it off the forum - one gets negative attention if anything is done to resolve it outside this website.

Bitcoin and it's theft are problems that affect life outside the Internet.  This community seems to think theft is no big deal unless it affect them directly.

I'm done exposing the big scammers here.  I've taken it where people care about victims.  :/

I agree but the egos of most people here is never gonna away. Drama has been somewhat less, but fuck does it still exist for the stupidest reasons. Man I used to love shitting on the circle of idiots who kept making alts to "frame" Lauda and cult, but goddamn it has becoming boring. Everything has become quite a bore and too redundant/repetitive.

Forum was heckin fun to be at, during the whole aTriz-Alia, nullius drama, or the hate game against The Pharmacist and Actmyname in the old DT system.

Everything is very eugh right now. So much shit has happened, and it sucks:

- Bruno and Zepher are dead. RIP :( Am still not over bruno's death, it was the same guy i was chatting on telegram with and now....he is just not there :(

- QS and Lauda have settled their beef(which was very mature of QS, props to him)

- Lutpin is ?? ?? ??

- 3/4th of the posters have left. Well fuck, this is too sad.

• Give one, two of your comments/Advice here.
Rather than being affected, how about you distance yourself from all the 'quarrels / misunderstandings' between DT vs DT?
You are stressed out because you are getting yourself involved too.

You cannot control what they will do or say in this forum so why bother?
Borrowing from hilariousandco, this is the internet.

Who had confirmed this was Cryptohunter? Is there any proof of your claim or you are just saying based on assumption? I think CH was only able to write loads of words and nothing else although he had some good point. I doubt he would dare to hack some account, he was not that bad.

Some of the members who are funny, full of drama here have found the thing you mentioned.

Rip.
Do not know this 2020, who knows who will follow.

I hope that in 2020, no one will be struck by lightning, stay safe, and enjoy the rest of life on the internet.

What more members like you, if(......)will cry throughout this universe.

very dear-a thousand dear.

Better to ignore that boards mate if you found yourself trapped on such drama. Trust system and issues will never go away and it will always be the same like in the past. Some quarrel cool down as time passes by and this will end if not tomorrow some other day.

We are such a small community and instead of growing together, we pull each other down. Live and let others live.
As much as we wanted so, there are some users with different perspective with one another, or dont have same belief over things but thats normal. Debate is also part of common grounds of forum. Its just some making it personal.

On the other note. Has anyone miss TMAN?  :D

When one DT member write something about the other DT member, the other one has to reply and this turns out to be a series of replies nd unwanted drama which have no ending. If anyone shows a big heart these small issues can be resolved.

It is impossible to get a confirmation. Even the admins won't get it especially if the hacker hid his IP.

CH was a crazy mf obsessed with DT. Same as side chain. On the contrary, I'd expect something like that from him 100%.

They two are totally different in their behavior. If you looj better, CH used to write tons of words with some logic against the merit and DT system (in general) while side chain seems to be a person who have agenda with some selected DT members and he wants them to defame although I have not noticed him much before the recent LFC_Bitcoin PM things.

Call me an idiot but I'm really had a thin-skinned that's why I don't want to involve drama in these two different sections. I have been witnessed different arguments but I have noticed that most of them are having personal issues, it might a revenge to each other until it will be connected into other DT members or let say, a gang vs gang!

Satoshi Nakamoto might not happy to see if his people fighting, throwing bad words under his community, instead of making a good discussion under Bitcoin's technical discussion or in Bitcoin development, that will might Satoshi will make happy rather than you guys always having quarrels. I don't frequently post to these sections too because I felt it will not help to the campaign you have promoted unless if you are not wearing a signature campaign it would be fine.

I hope everyone will reunite soon and no more war between different members. "RESPECT" this is all we need.

Since the DT members are popular here on the forum, some people take side of one member and the some support the other and this quarrel of single person turns into a gang fight. I read few of those posts but more often ignore them because its too much time taking with no real output.
