Title: Crypto after COVID-19
Post by: Abiky on August 28, 2020, 09:13:31 PM
Once COVID-19 took the world by storm, the world's economy has been on a constant decline. Crypto has largely benefited from this, as the market experienced new gains in such as short amount of time. There's now a stablecoin and "De-Fi" craze making many ERC-20 tokens, stablecoins, and even Ethereum extremely popular in the mainstream world. Their prices have increased at a fast pace, leading many wondering what will come up next after the demise of COVID-19. If the world's economy starts recovering at a slow and steady pace, crypto's gains might not last for long. Maybe everything will return back to the way it was before the deadly disease? Or maybe crypto prices will remain stagnant on the market?

Whatever happens after COVID-19, there's no denying that crypto is a resilient alternative financial system in times of need. In a first of its kind, crypto has remained "impervious" from negative events in the mainstream world. My guess is that crypto will continue to go higher in price even after the demise of COVID-19, as people's trust in the banking system will diminish. The premier cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) will be officially recognized as a true alternative of Gold, proving itself as a store of value in times of need.

Thoughts? ???

During the pandemic situation, awareness towards cryptocurrencies has remarkably been increased. Even though major industries are getting pushed back due to the slowdown of the economy because of lockdown, on the other side, we have seen good growth in the crypto market.
From my point of view, once everything is settled down, the crypto market will see more investments than now.

Traditional investors now realize that they don't have to rely on stocks only, they need to keep add other assets as well on that cryptos also will get a slot with most of the investors. And definitely there will be the growth which is expected earlier itself buy covid just put a break onto the market cycle. Now everything starts to get back normal so eventually crypto market started to begin bullish.

Pay attention to the years when there was no coronavirus. Cryptocurrencies constantly went through the stages of explosive growth and then a strong fall. Then followed a period of relative calm and growth again. Each time there were various new directions for investment, which pulled up the prices of other cryptocurrencies.
Therefore, I would not worry about what will happen tomorrow or in a year - you need to use the present moment to earn money and correctly invest the earned money in several different areas for investment or storage, and not only in the crypto market.

I am with the same thought about crypto after COVID, it will continue to increase and as people recovering from this crisis. They'll start to look for an avenue of investment.

Bitcoin or the whole cryptocurrencies can be their choice for it.

If crypto really followed the stock market in the Spring crash and it was all covid-related then it's going to continue going up.

Cryptocurrenceis went against all odds and recovered pretty good especially when compared to the prices we had last year when there was no pandemic and no stock market crash and we still were lower than we are today.

I think a lot will change after the US elections this year, the crisis has not been canceled, it was simply postponed, and the next year will be much more difficult.

I am hoping that nft projects would kick off next after de-fi. This whole covid era has been weird experience, while my buddies have lost their jobs and i am doing better then ever with my crypto investments. It feels backwards, like i am rewarded for doing nothing. Well i am taking risks but it feels like this kind of luck isn't going to last forever.

so you should also be prepared for what may come in the next coming months. since your luck is in your side, you can diversify your portfolio, don't be confined with cryptocurrencies only, why not try exploring real estate or precious metals like gold? tangible assets will really be of great help if you want peace of mind that your assets will not disappear anytime. because with crypto, you have no control with the market and anything can happen while you are sleeping. but with tangible properties, even if you are sleeping, you know those assets will be there as long as you have the docs in place.

maybe with the current covid effect it provides many benefits to crypto and many people are starting to think that crypto is a positive thing. but it is not certain that when Covid 19 is finished, crypto is not certain that it will go up or down, that's just a prediction and we might only be able to see it in the future

My thoughts on this that people would never ever lost is confidence or trust in the banking system that we have known. Crypto might really give out some revolutionary effects but this one will really be just
staying as an alternative. As long government do exist on this world it cant really able to become the mainstream.Being optimistic isnt bad but hoping that much on a thing that is nearly impossible to happen
can really frustrate you that hard and also i dont really correlate Bitcoin or crypto economy compared to traditional stocks/bonds/assets that we have known. We didnt even know the exact reason
on why crypto market had risen or increase in spite of the verge of pandemic situation.

Well if the world starting to go where it was before this global pandemic it will affect on crypto for sure.As we saw in last March Price of all cryptocurrency was dumped heavily we could see that opposite scenario at the time of world recovering. Let's see what actually happen & after how long😶

Though we all know the fact that the pandemic cause a great increase to the popularity, volume, and overall market of the cryptocurrencies, it would also boast a great danger onto it. Many had been using the crypto as a front of their scam activities, and with that being said, there are no impossibilities that some countries might regulate nor illegalize the use of cryptos. Therefore, as usual, crypto in general would have a little increase for months, but then after everything would be back in normal, then theres also a possibility that the crypto market would be back same before the pandemic hits the world.

I think if covid has passed, for example next year, crypto especially bitcoin will still be a good store of value and even though all economies are back to normal, all crypto will run as usual without having to worry about collapsing, we are still in a bullish market until the year front

I think in some ways covid-19 is a blessing in disguise knowing that even many or most of the countries are now struggling economically, crypto still manage to maintain its composure and I think those DeFi craze and hype give a little breather for the crypto world to still stay in good terms and position market-wise and crypto-economically.

COVID-19 only affected cryptocurrency projects that tried to implement blockchain into the real sector of the economy. All the actions that took place in March 2020 influenced the cryptocurrency market only because the market is still correlated with the stock market.

being calm despite everything ? but where is the blessing with that ? price did fall but we are lucky that it recovers a little . the real blessing they say is when people got terminated on thier work and those people live together again with thier family  .

I think those DeFi craze and hype give a little breather for the crypto world to still stay in good terms and position market-wise and crypto-economically.
this is also a blessing in disguise because despite how people blame defi and the hype , both still influence or help people to get in touched with cryptos .

Crypto has been very resilient this past weeks of the pandemic, many people thought the end has come for crypto, that the pandemic will cause a great damage in the crypto market but that has not been the case, instead this strengthen the market even more, am glad after the painful experience of the pandemic things are gradually coming back into place.

awareness about good investments in cryptocurrency really make the impact on the economy at the moment COVID-19 the price of bitcoin still better and not too there are effects that occur in the price of bitcoin if pandemic ended the possibility of the price of bitcoin will rise so fast and will make extraordinary price increases in this year if all countries begin to grow in sectors of their economies.

I'm thinking the opposite actually. Bitcoin's price advanced impressively these couple of months despite of the peresence of pandemic. So what more if everything goes better? For sure investors will have more power to purchase coins since everyone got their jobs once again. I don't think it will suddenly crash, I'm expecting that more people appreciated it whether as a form of currency or store of money thus will continue using it. But if it will then that's fine, it was a nice opportunity to hoard more after all :D.
Whatever happens after COVID-19, there's no denying that crypto is a resilient alternative financial system in times of need.
We're not yet sure about it. Yeah maybe this pandemic didn't affect crypto sphere badly because it is different from the centralized one, but remember, volatility was still there. That's enough risk to consider.

Currently the digital industry is a breakthrough new alternative for those who want to earn income without having to leave the house and including new investors who are familiar with the crypto industry.

Crypto strongly reacted to the crisis situation in this year, as well as gold, for example, Satoshi created bitcoin as a protective asset against crises, but at the moment this is not the case.

We can see how crypto is being known by many people amidst pandemic. In fact, the hype about defi projects and other crypto opportunities are spreading in different social media platforms which is also a good way to spread awareness about cryptocurrency.

When it comes to alternative financial system, well we commence to utilize it. We've started to use it and the conveniency and fast transactions are being implicated thus making it to become the alternate payment method.

Isn't Covid-19 still ongoing today?
I know cryptocurrency is growing very well right now the price is getting stronger holding above 11k isn't this quite a demand for supply that has happened in the market? People are already convinced of crypto, whether it's just taking advantage of the DeFi trend or not, what is clear in this pandemic is good enough in the future but in terms of use for payment instruments it is still polemic and not yet fully used there are still many credit cards in use today for transactions.

Yes, it is not yet fully used because most countries chose to remain neutral or maintain their denial for using bitcoin. Countries that prohibits the usage of bitcoin do not change their decisions even with this pandemic, most countries prefer to use credit cards, paypal, or any online tool for making transactions without adding bitcoin to the said options.

Right now, crypto has been used by many people as a hedge to save their money since the economy of all the countries are slowly declining and the value of the money are slowly withering too.

With regards to DeFi, the hype has been there since the start of the pandemic and I know for sure that this hype will slowly decline too. Crypto after this will stay the same since crypto isn't affected that much too by what is happening right now to the economy of the world. Yes it went down very hard but it went up after a few weeks too and now it is x3 of the year-low price.

I always try to be optimistic about it.

With the recovery of the economy, I want to see more support with cryptocurrencies.
They have seen it during this pandemic, why not continue?
Ignoring its existence has a low chance. I think this may become habitual and in the end, we could see an increase in the value of different popular cryptocurrencies.

I bet that there will be a general agreement that Bitcoin is indeed resilient. Regardless of what is happening in the macro environment, it has survived. I think that in post-pandemic, many will stay in cryptocurrencies. They have seen its potential and they now will save a spot for this type of investment because they also believe that it will be resilient no matter what.

If we look at this time maybe the pandemic condition has not recovered, but the value of crypto has started to increase. I think the world's investors are back to investing in crypto, and they are focused on online business. So that companies that adopt crypto as a means of payment will continue to push up the price of crypto. And it is clear that the price of Bitcoin is starting to rise slowly.

This is the reason I think too that cryptocurrency is rising. More investors are coming in because online is becoming a good ground for investment. Business are going online and you can buy and sell almost anything through the internet. So I see it as a good reason for the increase.

I think cryptocurrency will still be sideways at the current price even after Covid is over, because currently gold is experiencing a strong bullish and will happen until Covid is over.
because I don't think different assets can go up (To The Moon) simultaneously.

If covid-19 ends then the crypto world continues as usual, and market movements persist if the profit can always be gained by new users during covid-19 because in addition to doing real work they can also spend time by adding income in the crypto world this will definitely be done if they can always get results.
This is just the beginning, we will see many investors enter the world of cryptocurrencies even more when Covid 19 ends,
even though Bitcoin volatility is very high, maybe that's what a special think for investors

I agree. Some of people will continue what were doing in cryptocurrency and for some people they will add their investments since they will have job back then. In this time, a lot of people try to do cryptocurrency like trading and investing but some of them also ended being scam and have bad experience in it. They immediately trust people to give quickly gain their money over a small period of time. It will be good not only in cryptocurrency but the whole world if the pandemic ends.

The crypto market will continue as usual, and there is no worry if the Covid-19 is going to end or not because people are now trying to adapt to the current situations.
But I don't think that we will see a normal situation out there after Covid-19 end because we already in the new normal situations, which can still be like this.
This virus makes people trauma, and they are trying to prevent and take care of their health in the public area.
If people know that crypto can give them a chance to make money, people will try to work with crypto in many ways, and they will not give up before making money.

Besides, if people like Kiyosaki is captivated by Bitcoin then we should expect more influential people to join crypto investment.
When the world economy recover and the vaccine is develop, I expected crypto to vain more traffic than the previous years and we shoumd expect serious competition with hike in price of the market.

Many people say Crypto is going to be dead now after seeing no movements in crypto markets after this pandemic started. I knew they were wrong and the crypto market will recover but it was beyond my expectation how this market come back. This DeFi hype pushes the market so hard that the ETH gas fee hit its new high. Now I see people are trying to adapt this tech at this COVID-19 situation.
DeFi technology is really making a big impact these days. The world of crypto is increasingly giving rise to new innovations which of course can make an attraction for someone to join the crypto world. I am sure the price will move up even more. let's look at the future.

Thoughts? ???

I don't want to call your post shilling or getting the market to hype but we have to see it happen before we can conclude that the banking days are over, I believe it will still take a lot of time before we can see this realization, banks have been here for hundreds of years and ours is a young technology that slowly being adopted, the paced is slow but sure.

Crypto would continue to grow after covid-19 for sure since people would start to recover and invest in it.
As we could see even when the pandemic is on and economy is declining in some country the crypto has manage to gain improvement,
So what more when those who are having a hard time right now could once again afford to invest in it.

While there is no doubt that there are a lot of profits to be had in this market I do not agree at all when you say that is the market has remained impervious to the negative events in the mainstream world, it seems we are forgetting that the market had a significant and brutal crash on March of this year caused without a doubt by the coronavirus pandemic and by the drop in the stock market, so I think this market is resistant and it is without a doubt a great investment and I think everyone should participate but still the market of cryptocurrencies is not isolated from global events and can still be affected by them.

But if we are about to compare it this time, I don't see that covid19 has truly affected cryptocurrencies. The market has been so very stable and eventually good because of the price going up.

If you have expected bitcoin to be something higher, you might change it and don't expect a lot.

The trading habits also affect this economic challenge, the crypto industry will find its path after the economic recession. The world economy is on the hold, flat mood and I don't expect big changes till 2021. The crypto marketcap is still under the half-trillion, I doubt there is a good reason to wait for the next cycle of the bull market soon. The pressure from the world economy will decrease within time and there will new investment opportunities for crypto investors sooner or later.

The economy in most countries was going down when the pandemic striking, but i think not anymore now.
Many business sectors has been opened again, applying the new normal and some health protocols.
Plus in cryptocurrency now, there are DeFi projects which i think will rise crypto value in the future.

My guess is that crypto will continue to go higher in price even after the demise of COVID-19, as people's trust in the banking system will diminish. The premier cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) will be officially recognized as a true alternative of Gold, proving itself as a store of value in times of need.

Thoughts? ???
Same thought as this because the Market already saw the increase of people looking for another way to use in their payment system and banks cannot
offer as what crypto can do so this will remain questionable and will see the effect sooner or after
the Pandemic issue.

There are other people now that surely considering Investing and having Bitcoin at least to use in times like this?
to be ready in any cases because this Covid had thought as all of many things, never underestimate the coming of issues like this that can change the life of the world in just a months or year.

and also one thing is Banks are already exposed of the little promised income while crypto can bring you more than what you expected once you
already Know what an how this can be a good place to stock your money.

Even after the demise of COVID-19 crypto will still continue to boom but can we predict? No one knows about the future, what if something better comes up to distract people from crypto? Like Elon Musk said that "their is a need for world employment opportunity, for everyone to benefit from" just a thought though.

First of all, I don't see COVID-19 ending any time soon, it is not a curse, the world has just to live with it for some time as we have been coping with Poliomyelitis and some other viruses with the help of vaccines.
Whether the pandemic ended totally or not, crypto will still continue in its fine form as you have said.  Many have believed, that it is a good alternative to their fiat banking system, some know what they have gained from it within a limited time.  Recovery of world economic does not stop further adoption of crypto at all.

And we have to take even a little oportunity in this pandemic

Base on the series of events before the COVID19 pandemic struck on a global scale I believe that the crypto market is slowly recovering and I think it is a piece of strong evidence that even without the Pandemic the crypto market might be in the road to recovery now If we look closely in the entire crypto market only the Defi based tokens have gaining much value in terms of trading prices while the remaining number of cryptocurrencies has not. what I'm saying is with or without the COVID19 pandemic the crypto market will be the same if the market will down I'm sure it will be recovered as usual.

We hope that cryptocurrency can be a solution for people who want to make money because they can try to do many things related to cryptocurrency. The Coronavirus can stay with us for a long time, maybe until next year because so far, the scientist still tests the vaccine before they release to the public. We hope the vaccine will not take too long so that the doctor can heal the people.

Cryptocurrency itself is going to strong since this year, and we can see that the increases in the crypto market give a good sign to go up again. Maybe we will see a rally this year, so we can back to recover the losses.

We were supposed to have a large spike in May, but it never materialized as a result of the economic contraction caused by COVID 19. The prices have gone up during the last few weeks, but even with this the prices are lower than what we were having during Q4 2019. Investors may be losing their patience, especially those who purchased the coins near the ATH levels in 2017.

I think I can agree with your point about crypto doesn't be affected much by the COVID-19. Tho, the people's trust in the banking system still the same. Just amidst the COVID-19, many people looking for a new way to invest their money, and somehow, crypto shine and show its worth around that time. After this COVID end, I think many of those people will stay and will help crypto become even more mainstream.

That make sense but need to push the world by current world order to accept Btc worldwide then it will be easy for all to trust and keep faith on it and after then the system can be changed. Hopefully then the revolution will be taken place in the mainstream world.

After Covid-19, we may able to see the new world after a long time of fear and all the irregular things will be regular. People already worked online and crypto can be used at home. So crypto scenario will remain same so far I think. Let's see what is waiting for us.

Crypto after this pandemic will be like crypto before, it's algorithm that doesn't change opinion every day (like some politicians)! What can happen is that more people will join crypto after all this mess, they had time to sit home and search the internet, they saw many things, and normal people will recognize what's better. I see only positive effects, but to be honest we didn't need all this mess, crypto would make progress anyway, this will just speed up the process if you ask me!

Covid is still around so right now crypto is not at the "after covid" situation, it is still covid. People are forgetting that people may not staying standing still at their houses right now and the economy could be restarted but the problem still stands, people are still doing masks and all that, so the virus is still out there and we still do not have a proper solution.

Obviously we are doing much better than we used to, 3-4 months ago was even worse and today is better but it is not gone, we are just building a society that is used to living with the covid and that's it, it is still out there. However I believe crypto would be much much bigger in the following months not due to covid but because halving will start to hit differently when the time comes.

Corona virus is a curse and it is not a virus like any other, the problem is that you cannot identify when you are infected and it can be transferred easily and that is not the case with other viruses. Everyone has to cope up with the situation and there is no vaccine and we need to wait for much longer time for us to get a commercially viable vaccine.

It is partially true, the market will continue whether the pandemic ends or not, but everyone is waiting for the rally and for that to happen the economy should be strong enough so that big investors will be confident enough to invest in it.

Hype will decline after COVID-19 for sure. Depending on how long the pandemic lasts, crypto could experience higher prices on the market because of high demand. After the demise of COVID-19, prices could remain the same or go down the drain. Considering that crypto is the future of money, I think it'll continue to go up in price over time. The pandemic has urged the need for people to rely on digital payments more thoroughly. Once the world's economy recovers, we could live in a cashless society. With CBDCs being developed behind the scenes, it's expected that crypto will remain in the spotlight for the foreseeable future.

In the case of "De-Fi" apps, they'll become heavily regulated like ICOs in the not-so-distant future. Once governments start taking action against "De-Fi" developers, the hype will go down the drain just like ICO's early days. History repeats itself, so crypto's current momentum might not last long after COVID-19. At least, crypto and Blockchain tech will be here to stay thanks to their decentralized and open source nature. Just my opinion :)

I see some of my friends in Facebook investing in cryptos right now although I kinda expect that they'll use it for selling things and accepting cryptos for that. Too bad that it isn't from my expectation.
The threat for crypto right now is people's misconception that crypto is a scam.
People don't want to throw their money digitally due to scammers not just outside but inside the digital world as well.
Currently, the Covid-19 pandemic is a considerable threat to every aspect of human life, be it health, social and even economics, many countries have become chaotic because of the impact of Covid-19. The number of frauds in cryptocurrency is the reason many countries prohibit their people from using / investing crypto at this time, even though in the current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, crypto is one of the solutions for the community in investing because we can do it without having to leave the house and by using crypto currency in transactions will certainly reduce the spread of covid-19 a little because we don't make direct contact in making payment / purchase transactions, it's different if using fiat money which maybe been contaminated with the covid-19 virus.

The experience we have got all due to the existence of this covid-19 pandemic have made people come into realization how important the usage of digital money as well as the existence of alternative currency such as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is really important mostly at time like this wherein the economic status of every country around the world have been directly affected and even the stock market have come into serious affection because of the scenario. We cannot further predict or surely instate what could possibly happen right after the pandemic if the people will still get into using cryptocurrencies since it became part of their daily life basis at the time of crisis when stock market is affected but the crypto market have excellently showcased a good performance on having an increase in terms of prices.

The possibility might be the prices will just continue to rise up since people will still consider using cryptocurrencies even after this pandemic or the price would decline since the hype is down due to no threat can be possibly seen which is the main reason why people go cashless to avoid the possibility of getting infected by the virus. No one knows what can possibly happen right after this pandemic for we all know are just possibilities and not the exact possible scenario to happen. Let us just all see.

You are right... In one way or the other, the Covid-19 pandemic played a large role in cryptocurrency awareness creation and adoption. And we all have seen the positive effects of it. We have seen a sudden and continuous growth in the market. I hope this continues
I have strong faith in crypto that it will continue to increase its value even if the world's pandemic will already be gone. People have started to look for good opportunities in crypto and make huge gains from crypto investments so possibly they will not leave crypto even if things will be back to normal again.

Most cryptocurrencies didn't suffer during the pandemic of COVID-19, especially since bitcoin have occurred because it is not affected in any country's economy status, unlike banks and stocks they are having a bad time regaining back their prices. It is the reason why it is much better to invest your money in cryptocurrency rather stocks because your assets are completely safe.

I would assume that if we are like this right now that means in the near soon future we are going to be even better. Things are not even bad right now which means we are already over covid in the crypto world, which is awesome because we really do not want covid to hit the crypto market like it hit the regular finance market, and since we were hit a bit, I would assume that we weren't just forgotten and it will come back, no we were hit so we just recovered and over time I am pretty sure that we will continue with this recovery.

Now if we are talking about actually not having any covid in the world at all(well at least not killing this much people)? We are talking about a long time and when that happens bitcoin price will be over 20k for sure because we are going towards that anyway.

Yes, it didn't somehow affected it. We've seen a backlash and probably the total effect of it on March but then after that, there's no more affection seen with regard to covid-19 pandemic.

We will look at the pandemic as an investment as it has brought devastation to the world. But what we're about to see are the possible turnover of things once it's done.

I fully agree with OP that crypto is a very resilient financial alternative, it stood strong 💪 during these hard times even after the March massive crash. Many people who gave up and sold their crypto so cheap in March will be grinding their teeth by now. Crypto has helped some people who lost their jobs to pick up their pieces, especially via trading and bounties, also community management.

Not sure about other countries but here in mine speculates that it might take a year before the pandemic ends, so for a while I might hang on to what I currently hold right now.
I am not that interested to newer projects right now because investing something would be risky if it didn't pay off now that jobs are declining to some area and savings will slowly fall.
Given that there's a year before the pandemic ends, this will make people/investors to thrive to look for an investment. And as we stay mostly online, they will resort to look for investment like cryptocurrencies.

Covid-19 has completely paralyzed world economic growth, Very many stock investors lost during the lockdown. The economy in most countries was going down when the pandemic striking, but i think not anymore now.
Many business sectors has been opened again, applying the new normal and some health protocols.
Plus in cryptocurrency now, there are DeFi projects which i think will rise crypto value in the future.
While there is no doubt the stock market has recovered since the covid pandemic made its strongest impact at the same time the real economy has not recovered at all and we are still suffering the effects of the pandemic on that front and if a second wave comes in the winter we will have to see if the economy resist, and while this may seem as if it does not affect this market it does, during the last year we have seen some correlation between the stock market and the market of cryptocurrencies and if this continues, and I expect this to be the case, then if we see another crash in the stock market we must prepare ourselves because a crash of this market may be imminent.

Thoughts? ???
At one time, the Spanish king by his example proved the uselessness of gold. I think it will be the same here. And you don't need to convince everyone with limited emissions. Just remember about the number of zanks after the decimal point

It is hard to make a prediction on after covid-19. As there is no end date, we can't make predictions. At the moment the market is quite good, over the past few days there is price crash with bitcoin as well as altcoins. This will bounce back, because from most of the users view it is corrective move.

I make predictions for the year 2021, because the year 2020 is already over. To make large scale changes in the coming four months of time is not a possible thing. Right now my complete focus is to have life till 2021?

I guess people try to trading or investing cryptocurreny with this bad situation just to earn extra money, that is why the market increasing what more after the pandemic maybe the market will go stronger and Bitcoin will touch again 20k or maybe surpass it who knows.
The epidemic has left many people unemployed and they need a job to make money while at home. Therefore, there have been many new investors entering this market with the aim of making profits. But things are not as easy as they think, Bitcoin price has grown drastically but now it is collapsing. Maybe we will soon see Bitcoin at $ 8k once again

Covid-19 did really make a large difference in the market and the crypto market benefit out of it. The stock market undeniably declined as the Covid-19 hits most of the big corporations tend to close while the Crypto market made a surge. Perhaps, that causes the investor tend to move in crypto or should I say on DeFi programs. I also have a hunch that causes why DeFi is now in the hype and apparently, this might also the reason why Bitcoin made a sudden movement.

I have a doubt that things might go back to normal the as COVID issue will be sorted or there's a chance that it will keep going. The point is we never know what will happen next hence, we should take the opportunity as much as we can.

As what I see, Crypto will boom after this covid. Imagine, the government of each country will mandate to use technologies to prevent spread of virus in the future like cashless, homebased job and e-Folder for reporting and filing files of individual and companies. So as of now only the Blockchain technology has a potential to provide it to the Goverments because we all know how advanced and what can blockchain do.

We need to survive here and take our part for the next generation.

I agree with the OP, BTC will be officially recognized as a true alternative of gold, people will no longer use fiat and local bank because they are slow and walled, cant do transaction fast and do overseas transaction like what blockchain do. Thanks to this pandemic that bring new trend "no touching money" and fear of local banking if world collapsed.
So i think crypto will raise after COVID19 gone, and world will have new era in payment using blockchain practically.

The current crypto market is not stable so during this time you need to consider carefully when deciding to invest. Most of the top coins are falling very quickly today and I am sure this will affect the wealth of many investors. I think covid-19 is an opportunity to make more money as this epidemic does not affect the growth of the crypto market.

What are cryptocurrencies doing now? When was the last time you saw an Ethereum price of 300$ or higher? Most recently, the ETH almost reached the psychological mark of 500$. New projects are growing in price, etc.

After Covid-19 completely left and the world's economic cycle returned to normal, The crypto market will continue to increase in the future.

If the trend continues, then crypto will be able to emerge victorious after the demise of COVID-19. I'd expect the industry to grow like never before in terms of development, innovation, and most of all, mainstream adoption. Right now we're in a hype phase as new "De-Fi" projects emerge like skyrocket. This is probably attributed to the negative effects of COVID-19 in the mainstream economy. It triggers a "FOMO" sentiment, leading towards astronomical levels in crypto prices across the market. Once the "dust" is settled, it's hoped that crypto can deliver real use cases for people worldwide. Already, crypto is proving to be a useful alternative financial system in times of turmoil.

In the end, COVID-19 will bring a radical transformation of the world's economy like never before. The introduction of a cashless society is happening at a slow and steady rate. Since crypto is the future of money, it'll be here to stay for many generations. The pandemic has accelerated mainstream adoption of digital payments as we speak. It won't be long enough before physical cash is phased out from existence, making crypto stronger than ever. Just my thoughts ;D

The prices are going up solely due to the DeFi hype. it will crash once again, if DeFi flops. And we are already witnessing signs that not everything is well with that sector. If the prices were going up as a result of ETH 2.0 or any other development, then I would have been happy. But that is not the case. ETH 2.0 rollout is in dire straits now and there is a lack of clarity regarding it.

This market was created with the idea of not having the need to ask for permission for banks and governments to move your money as you wish so I disagree with your point, will adoption by governments accelerate the process of adoption? Without a doubt the answer is yes, however there are many scenarios in which the adoption can keep growing without the need of approval from the governments and I think those are the scenarios we need to follow if we want to keep some semblance of freedom in this market.

Exactly. I believe that COVID-19 has brought massive hype towards crypto/Blockchain tech like never before. Since the world's economy is falling, people are resorting to alternative currencies that are independent from the traditional banking system. "De-Fi" has become extremely popular due to the many features it provides to the "unbanked". There's no need to go through KYC/AML to get access to the world of crypto, bringing greater accessibility to all. I'd expect crypto to become even more popular after COVID-19 once governments launch CBDCs of their own. Considering that it'-s been only 11 years since crypto came to the world, I'd say this is only the beginning. Of course, there are many issues (like scalability and privacy) that need to be addressed if crypto wants to stay ahead of the game. As long as developers and the community work together to make crypto land a better place, nothing should go wrong.

Given that we're still in a period of uncertainty, anything could happen after the demise of COVID-19. Crypto could go even higher in price or back to its pre-COVID prices on the market. Major blockchain networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum would need to adopt scalability solutions in order to bring as much people as they can. The Ethereum development team have been delaying scalability upgrades for quite some time now, making people desperate. If the trend continues, ETH might lose its position on the market by an alternative smart contract platform. At least, crypto's decentralized and open source nature will help it remain resilient against negative events in the mainstream world. COVID-19 or not, crypto has effectively won the battle by providing a "Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" for the whole world to enjoy. And that's what matters. Just my opinion :)

During the COVID-19 pandemic, investors needed to look for an alternative to invest their resources without the risk of acquiring the said virus. Work-from-home setups were initiated and online businesses started to rise. The need to look for an alternative way of earning income online became a necessity to most people especially to the ones who just lost their jobs.

I would say that the covid situation contributed significantly in the widespread of information about cryptocurrencies. Especially when the Decentralized Finance was announced, lots of investors jumped on the hype train which also contributed on its reputation on the internet.

I agree with your statement, because crypto can indeed be the only alternative in terms of transactions or business or investment. because of the presence of covid and restrictions on activities outside the home, it does not interfere with the main crypto mechanism. so crypto should be able to survive, and should be able to increase again. Your argument doesn't make any sense. A few weeks ago, the Bitcoin prices had fallen from $12,000 per coin to around $9,800. Cryptocurrency has remained as volatile as ever, and for comparison the stocks have fared much better. And as a safe-haven asset, gold once again proved that there is hardly any competition out there. I don't think that cryptocurrency had a lot many positives to talk about, during the last 6 months.

You've been on this forum for a long time but it's like you are just getting to know the crypto market is working. If we look at the price alone, there are several crypto currencies whose price has exceeded gold even though they have not experienced a trend like gold in general, so in this case we have to look from several points of view so that we can compare them evenly, don't just look at one only aspects like the price between the two.

Very interestingly, COVID 19 has made a paradigm shift in terms of investment and financial transactions and this cannot be separated from the analysis of the impact caused by the ongoing pandemic and preparations if this ends. In my opinion, investors are also thinking hard about how to minimize the risk of their investment, one of which is switching to a more robust system based on cryptocurrency and has been proven even though it fluctuates following market trends.

The Defi system is one of the most targeted. Surviving, or not depending on user interest in choosing their own investment pattern.

There are two factors. Firstly, the world economic crisis is going to happen due to low earnings because a lot of people not working. Thanks to it, people will start selling their assets to fulfill basic needs, like paying lease, food etc. But on the other hand, people will realize how badly our financial system works and they will slowly start finding alternatives - gold or Bitcoin. So, I would say that firstly we will fall down and then we will see new highs, like never before.  8)

Yes, it is absolutely true that a pandemic has a small impact on the cryptocurrency market, because the pandemic does not have a close relationship with the cryptocurrency world, even when a pandemic occurs, people who like crypto have increased in number, meaning that the influence and impact is limited to that.

Some people feel that the bull run will start completely after COVID-19, but it may not happen because it completely depends on the number of buyers in crypto, not on the number of users in crypto where people are still afraid of some of the risks involved big on the decisions they'll make.

The pandemic that is currently rife, of course, greatly affects Cryptocurrency investment with various fears, for example, as many alt coin prices have decreased in price so that when investors see the risks to the economy and financial system of digital currencies that exist today, but after many have realizing that cryptocurrency can actually be used more in conditions like today without making physical transactions directly and of course that makes us feel safer from the impact of the spread of corona, we can see now that little by little the cryptocurrency market starts to increase regularly and of course that is a positive thing in this current pandemic.

Thoughts? ???

Personally could not believe that crypto will be officially recognized as a true alternative of GOLD but in this pandemic situation crypto market has tremendously explore to all parts of the world and result is US bank and swiss bank making custody of BTC. After pandemic situation crypto market can not be crash because more people engaged in this time and they will connect another more people to this sector. So there is zero chance to dump of market i think. So we can easily hope for better future of crypto market.

thanks.

The worldwide pandemic makes most people realize that cryptocurrency is really useful. So I guess after the pandemic more and more people will be going to use cryptocurrency and that will make it rise. And as we can see nowadays some governments already implemented a cashless society. But let's not expect that it will be pump everyday for the coins and alts, always remember that there's always pump and dump.

Covid or not, crypto would survive. You only need to have a burgeoning MVP with a real use case. Just like everyone is jumping on the DeFi train, both real developers and scammers, having use cases is what differentiates the wheat from chaff

In my local area mist of the things and businesses are back to normal and open but as i was watching news earlier today there seems to be a second wave which is effecting a lot of countries again.
So seems like until an effective vaccine is here the problem will stay. Regarding post corona scenario definitely world will be encouraging digital currencies and digital business more and more and crypto market alongwith e-commerce has a really bright future.

COVID-19 has affected almost everyone to one degree or another. Economy and finance react very painfully to such problems in society. Many are thinking about alternative opportunities for their investments. I think many will re-evaluate their views on the crypto economy and growth is inevitable.

Crypto after covid-19 will remain popular and it will continue increase it's value. If crypto become the alternative work and source of income during this time of pandemic, after this people will surely remain in crypto because they are already know it and tested it. Cryptocurrency will be a big part of new normal.

This seems to have a clear impact on cryptocurrencies as more investors are investing in the crypto or digital world rather than in the real world. According to him, this has an impact on the world economy due to the pandemic

COVID19 just might boost the cryptocurrency as in a lot of countries they are forces to go in digital transactions. So when it comes to adaptations I think it might just help to force some countries to adapt in the situation to try technology that has digital transactions. The digital transactions might not be bitcoin or cryptocurrency but other digital money but still it forces people and the community to learn and try the technology like digital transactions when the cryptocurrency has. That just gives 1 step to adaptation into cryptocurrency for sure it is going to be easy when people already have the experience in that kind of technology.  As the economy go down because of the pandemic it might help the cryptocurrency when the pandemic is already over.

yeah,Although the COVID-19 deeply affected alot of element in our day to day way one living but the part of the COVID is that showcase to the world the potential of crypto and change the mind of people that thought crypto is a bubble. Besides, if people like Kiyosaki is captivated by Bitcoin then we should expect more influential people to join crypto investment.

The Covid 19/pandemic has really introduced to the world other forms of investment that is flexible and one can participate from any part of the world. The Defi projects fully geared during the pandemic and it has garnered more volume now.

It's true that Gold is still unbeatable these days. That's largely because Gold is a very old store of value trusted by many people worldwide. Crypto is just starting to blossom with only 11 years of existence. As far as the stock market goes, I believe that crypto has performed better in these pandemic times. Prices quickly rose in a month after a steep decline on the crypto market. That's not the case with stocks these days, as they have a long way to go before they recover to their pre-COVID levels. Wall Street is in a period of uncertainty due to the negative effects of COVID-19 on the mainstream economy.

Since crypto has performed well in these times of turmoil, I'm guessing it'll do fine after everything is back to normal. More people are becoming aware of crypto's benefits relative to Fiat. While it's true that crypto prices are extremely volatile, its censorship-resistant nature allows anyone to feel confident that their funds are safe against external manipulation. Governments and central banks are out of the system when you use crypto in the decentralized economy. That's not largely the case with Fiat. With everything shifting to the digital realm at a fast pace, crypto will be the cornerstone of the world's economy after the demise of COVID-19. The introduction of CBDCs to the mainstream world means that crypto has already won the battle. Before you know it, we'll be using a Blockchain for nearly everything we do in daily life. Just my thoughts ;D

Covid 19 left the world with shock and fear, but I'm glad that it's past and I didn't loose anyone to the pandemic. On cryptocurrency community, I don't really think the impact on the price of cryptocurrency was noticeable, the market has always been volatile and we can't trace the volatility of the market to the virus.
