Title: Career Through Bitcointalk, Why Not? Newbie May Need To Know!
Post by: masulum on August 31, 2020, 04:26:14 PM
Bitcointalk.org is a very extraordinary forum, unique. Here we are free to interact, communicate and so on as long as we still follow the forum rules (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0). Many are angry, many are happy. The emotions in this forum not only make us smile alone but also make us feel what makes other people feel sad.

Then what exactly is Bitcointalk.org?
From my point of view, Bitcointalk.org has provided everything for everyone with equal opportunity. There are different goals of the members here. But one thing is for sure, Bitcointalk.org is where we work, joke, or even have a career.

Why do I say that Bitcointalk is a career place? This is what I feel, I am only a member with minimal knowledge of technical crypto development. But there is another side that I can achieve from Bitcointalk.

A career journey that can be felt by all members, if you use this forum not only to take part in airdrops and bounties without any consideration about the project and just trapped by scam project (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) promotion to waste your time. Here some career that can achieved by community

1. Become a Community Manager (Freelance, Contract, Full-Time)
One of the careers that you can get in this forum is as a Community Manager (I will call it CM). Those of you who have communication skills can become a CM. There are hundreds of legit projects that you can find from the Announcement Board page (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0) or from Services/Services announcement board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0). From there you can do a project research, look for opportunities, and apply as a CM. The payment also varies, depending on how much you respect yourself.

2. Become a Bounty Manager / Campaign Manager (BM / CM)
A Bounty Manager / Campaign Manager (hereinafter I will call BM), is also one of the jobs that you can make a promising career for you. Just look at how Hhampuz (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=881377), Murat (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=815246), Coolcryptovator (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1980983), DarkStar_ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=507936) and other top BM are working form campaign a project. Not just one project, they can hold up to 5 projects at once. Isn't this very interesting to be an example that a career as BM is very exciting. Recently I handle some campaign as BM, this is very good experience to be part of the community, you have a same opportunity, just remember follow the rules of the forum, learning, discuss, and sharing. Impossible is nothing to be one of the top member with good reputation to build your "Brand".

3. Become a money lender
Lending money is also like going through a career, you get income from the loans you provide. Even if there are those who offer interest-free, the community still appreciates it by giving something extra. If you are serious about this, you can become a successful lender. For example, OmegaStarScream (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5137889.0), DarkStar_ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3243635.0), DireWolfM14 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5132594.0) and other who doing this services for a long time with lot of customers.

4. Become a professional designer (graphic / website)
Threads, signature campaigns, promotions all require designs to attract members' interest in Bitcointalk. If you don't get the opportunity at freelance website services, try to be more serious about improving your design skills. Thus you can be trusted to be the permanent designer of a project. Or use the service by top BM.

5. Translator or content creator
Lot of project need translator to bring their project going global. You can take this place too. Also you can be a professional content writer to help a project creating content marketing or anything related. This is very good opportunity, you can work from home everyday. And working as you want :)

6. Developer
Are you website developer, application developer? You can be a professional and reputable developer here.

7. to much to thinking about the opportunity here , you can find it by your self ;D
There are many careers opportunities that can be achieved by all members in this forum.

END NOTE:
Unfortunately, this opportunity was not taken by the members. Especially the members who just joined Bitcointalk.org. They only think about Airdrops and Bounties which actually don't guarantee an opportunity if they don't do research well, even though doing research doesn't mean it will be 100% successful. However, by choosing to achieve a better career as a freelancer or full-timer, trough Bitcointalk.org. So, are you Newbie. Jr. Member, Member and high rank though, do you still want to continue to chase the something that can be a waste your time only or become a smarter members to see opportunities than just greed for shitcoin?

Let's think about it, and see you when become a better member

This forum helps a lot, it can also bring prosperity, I remember when I joined this forum, I knew nothing but nothing. This forum really opened my eyes very well, I am now more exposed and experienced. I am so happy to be part of this community. I am able to interact globally with people, is there anything more than that, I do not think so.

The forum really address about scam, many people nowadays are easily scammed, many have no knowledge about what can possibly be ensued during scammers malicious activities, but nobody can scam me. Why? Because of this forum. Bitcointalk really helped me, the latest scams and old ones are know here, and they are nothing new.

This forum truly can be someone's careful, the forum really exposed people. But aside that, also this forum is really helping in all aspect of life. It helps the way we talk to people, the way we reply to people and the likes also. In fact, I am more disciplined than before.

When I joined compared till now, I was able to communicate better than before, among family, friends and strangers around me. The best experience about my life so far is that I know this forum.

OP is very right and there are more about Bitcointalk.

it is true here you will find a lot of opportunities but not everyone here will be able to get a job. Almost all jobs here have been either taken by senior members or those who have a good trust score.

It is not easy for a newbie, Jr Member, and even a Member to get a simple job. The demand is high here but the trust level is very low.

The senior members you see today where once Newbies. Everybody starts from somewhere. What matter most is patience, be a good member of the community and always strive to learn more

OP, we also have users who offer escrow services and currency exchange services

Best way to go for a new members here is to do some stuff for free first to build your reputation and portfolio, make connections and then you have much higher chances to get a break. You most likely need only one real break to get some credibility and start finding paying jobs or contracts no matter what you do. Things start rolling from there.

So put your work on display, do your best and sacrificing something to the gods can' hurt your chances either  ;D ;D

I think you had already pointed out that doing bounties and airdrops will not do so well in terms of opportunity to earn. Though the forum offers broad opportunity but some of it needed to some spending like in those mining crypto. Others will be needing skills in computer to make a living and make the forum as a career. Well, there could be some users who had been here and made thia forum.as their career but I think only few of them here around and I think also that those people are those high ranks that are established already like managing or owning a site like in those gaming site. They can earn on that particulars and we can say that it could get a career though.

No matter are you a newbie or legendary, you have same opportunity, not easy doesn't mean not impossible, what do you need just prove you are able to handle the job. Started to open your service, make it public, give an example of your work in the past/portfolio, let 's see someone will try to use your services. Make them happy, and you will get another customers.

Yes, if the member not doing good research to choose the project, they will be trapped by fake project who just need their identity. They will give members shitcoin they have, in return they get lot of data including KYC just for a $5 promise from shitcoin developers. About computer skill some of it not really needed, of you have a communication skill or marketing skill you can offer it.

3. Become a money lender
Lending money is also like going through a career, you get income from the loans you provide.
The funny thing here is that the forum teaches me on how to overcome the aghast whenever I lend someone my hard earned money. Due to this community and to our very own local section where I started microlending to my fellow countrymen, my lending journey started and eventually become reputable at some point and started making profits  :D

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193294.0 - I've had few lending transactions here.

Well, fortunately, having a service thread where I draw digital portrait and animal drawings helped me to survive amidst the pandemic. This also gives me the opportunity to showcase my talent and invest on the materials that enhances the output I am creating. As a result, I managed to harness my skills and be able to join few Art Contests.

There are to sub-boards to discover jobs on the forum:
  • Marketplace (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0)
  • Marketplace (Altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=161.0)

A reminder
  • You can work here full-time or part-time, it is your personal work but don't build up your house on the land of the others. The forum can be shutdown or the signature can be disabled globally, bounties can be wipen out entirely.
  • At the same time you work on the forum, try to read books, documennts and build up your other skills, technically and academically. Then you will have your backup, preventive jobs beyond the forum.

If you have been in crypto long enough, at least since 2017 you do know what happened with lazy bounty hunters.
  • The forum kicked off its merit system, old-era Junior members were demoted if did not earn a single merit. Spammers can not rank up higher.
  • Bounties began to request KYC and bounties lost many of their income that they would have earned without KYC, LOL. Beware of scam KYC requirements from scam bounties. Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221497.0)

There are plenty of career here in forum and all that are depends on skills like PR, artistic, and being a trusted manager. None on the list I do, but I am wearing signature for campaign that makes me at least shoulf I say contributor.

I am one day dreaming on handling my own campaign and even bounty but I can see that the experience needed is far too great and also the reputation must be solid for participants to get trusted.

I am thinking also to open up a lending service but I still need a good capital so I can roll out the funds. For now, I will save first through trading and maybe someday I could start.

Nice breakdown OP.

Had no idea that people came here to "work". I saw some people carry ads in their signatures for a fee which should be OK, but isn't it illegal to become a money lender? You should be at least licensed private money lender to do that (in most countries).

This is one of the best parts on our forum which is you can share your skills and use this to work too with the help of our services.

If you are a new member it's too hard if you will try to make a thread like simply like

"I have knowledge on photoshop"
"I can make you a banner"
"I can make you a signature "

All of those are the basic sample from newbies would like to share their skills but also it's better if they have their own portfolio so they can show and encourage different members to hire them or work to them.

You must need to gain a reputation also to get more people who know your work.

Work may not be the most appropriate word to use there. It's more like renting of a signature space, similar to what sport's persons do. A tennis player could be sponsored by a certain organization and would promote their brand on their body wear (face cap or T-shirt) whenever they take to the court. But, whether or not they have an endorsement deal they would still play tennis, which whey love doing, similar to what happens here on the forum. It's nice to earn doing what you are genuinely interested in.

Of course there are users who create account(s) here to simply exploit the system, that is not the real motive of the forum and such users do not get to rank up or learn from valuable discussions, hence losing out.

It is fact that one can make a nice pocket money on bitcointalk forum, and maybe even more than just pocket, but i think that too many new users come solely because of that reason. I mean there is nothing bad in wanting to make money, but people should take thier time to get know this forum and learn thing or two before going straight for money.

Does that mean peer to peer lending is not possible in your countries? I mean, like you lent some $50 fo your friend and get back $51. I think lending in this forum is more or less like that, it's not like you're doing a centralized lending service or business. But obviously interpretation can be twisted here and there.

I mean if i have my crypto assets and decided to lend them out to bitcointalk members for an interest rate of 10% how will the Government from my country know that I am lending off my bitcoins?
How will they even know that I am from their Country if all they can see is just my bitcointalk nickname?
Why would they even bother if there is no fiat currency they control involved in the lending business?

Today there are fewer and fewer new users on the forum, and it is precise because the majority comes here to earn money. In fact, you are completely correct. You can earn money here, but you need some knowledge. And always, where something is paid for, you need to be able to do something.
The forum has a huge database of information about bitcoin, studying which, you can acquire the most modern profession. Since Crypto is more and more included in our lives, the knowledge gained on the forum becomes a valuable acquisition.

About being trusted as BM, i feel same with you, I'm also doesn't have experience for become a BM, but someone give me chance and i take it, maybe from this i can be learn to be a good BM for community. If you think you are not get a trust from member, try to catch up. If no one not trusting you, you must trust to yourself if you can bring a good project and good BM in the future. Don't limit yourself, because you have the control for yourself.

I hope you can makes your dream come true as new trusted lender.

If in your country become a lender is illegal, so don't do it. You can choose another option as your carrer in this forum that not broke your contry regulation

Very informative/Inspired post for the bitcointalk members. If anybody follows this can grow his carrier here like others.
Op actually most of the people on the internet are very clear. they don't want to something hard, they don't want to use their brain. what you mentioned in the Op people must use their brain and experience to do hard works. But they don't. They just need free money. And for why they are creating a lot of accounts to join bounty and airdrops.

Those are a few points I've understood myself and hope other users do get too. How one can build a career out of bitcointalkforum forum. Those are few of the benefits one can get from being fully involved in the activities of the forum. It goes way more than information sharing or dispensing, you can get that on the media, social media platforms or even google.
Bitcointalkforum forum builds you all round. Some users don't even notice there content creation ability untill they get going here. It challenges you and aids you in the process. For a fact, most persons that manages and designs paid projects might just have their first encounter here and from there, builds there courage to manage other projects within their locality. It never ends here for you in bitcointalkforum, it surely effects changes for you in real life as well.

@sujonali1819
Everyone happy with free money, that why lot of newbie member trapped on bounty, because they are thinking if bounty are profitable. Some of them hear about this forum from his friends, and that person not saying about how to become good member and pick some project to be a part a people who can wear a signature with good rate payment
