Title: Re: Transaction Dropped & Replaced Post by: elda34b on September 01, 2020, 07:00:38 AM There's nothing extraordinary. As the description shows, your transaction was dropped from the mempool because it takes too long to confirm and that's why your ETH was back. That's it, nothing suspicious.
Title: Re: Transaction Dropped & Replaced Post by: Bitbtc8 on September 01, 2020, 07:03:29 AM When transactions takes too long to get approved they will bounce back and your eth will return, this isn't any kind of suspicious activity, you need enough gas fee for that transaction to go through, just add more fee next time

You can only have 1 pending transaction, if you make a new transaction while the old transaction is still pending, the previous transaction will be automatically canceled and the balance returned to your account, but the fee is forfeited.Today i sent another payment from my wallet to another ETH address and went through. After that i noticed my pending one shows status: Transaction Dropped & Replaced So what does it mean ? My ETH got refturn to source, Some help on this pls. You only need to repeat the transaction again and add more fees for gas so that your transaction is quickly confirmed. A lot of members here experienced the same thing for the last couple of weeks because of the heavy traffic in Ethereum transactions. Dropped & Replaced Transaction A transaction can get dropped and replaced when a newly created transaction with the same FROM account nonce is accepted and confirmed by the network. And because it has the same account nonce as the previous transaction, it replaces the previous txhash. Common reasons a replacement transaction is broadcasted : 1. The earlier transaction had a low gas price which would take a very long time to confirm, so a second transaction with a higher gas price was created to replace it 2. The Ethereum Node that the wallet/service connected to was not fully synced, and an incorrect nonce was used 3. User-initiated to replace or cancel a pending transaction A transaction can be {Dropped} or {Dropped & Replaced}. For additional assistance, please contact the sender/transaction creator directly for more information. This is why your transaction in Dropped & Replaced condition, because you create new one transaction with the same nonce with higher gas than previous transaction. Nothing suspicious, your transaction will be completed... but your previous gas can't be refunded. FYI if you are sending a new transaction while you are still having a pending transaction that has not yet confirmed and that means your old transaction will be replaced with the new transaction and your old balance will be returned into your wallet. Today i sent another payment from my wallet to another ETH address and went through. After that i noticed my pending one shows status: Transaction Dropped & Replaced So what does it mean ? After that i noticed my pending one shows status: Transaction Dropped & Replaced So what does it mean ? My ETH got refturn to source, Some help on this pls. drop and replaced in my opinion your transaction is crushed and replaced with another transaction that uses higher gas that's just in my opinion, so if there is an error please correct it Title: Re: Transaction Dropped & Replaced Post by: blockman on September 05, 2020, 11:44:27 PM Jawhead99 explained it very well and quoted the source from Etherscan. @OP, you can acknowledge the replies here if you think they were helpful to you and you have understood what happened to your transactions.
The one made it and the first one didn't because it was replaced by the one TX that pushed through. Title: Re: Transaction Dropped & Replaced Post by: oscarftw on September 05, 2020, 11:54:15 PM Read here Thanks for this help. I faced another problem, my gas prices were medium and transaction cost deducted from my wallet but still tokens transaction has been pending for two weeks. Maybe after making the transaction, gas prices increased again but I didn't check now. I think I will make another transaction. Maybe the previous one will drop and replace it because I can't tolerate it anymore.Dropped & Replaced Transaction A transaction can get dropped and replaced when a newly created transaction with the same FROM account nonce is accepted and confirmed by the network.
