Recent Bitcoin giveaway scams

Bitcoin giveaway scams have been all over Youtube in the form of ad videos. In the videos, big tech names such as SpaceX’s Elon Musk,
Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson, and Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin are shown giving away free Bitcoin worth 5,000 BTC up to 10,000 BTC.

These fraudulent videos appear as ads that play before, during, or after any Youtube video, reaching millions of users around the globe.
These scammers have already amassed millions of dollars, and they still haven’t stopped fooling people into sending cryptocurrencies to their addresses.

While giveaway scams are not new to the Bitcoin community, this kind of targeted modus using social media has been going on as early as
February 2020. From Elon Musk to Jeff Bezos and now Vitalik Buterin, these scam videos change their “main face” every few months to attract
unsuspecting victims.

Twitter hacks on popular accounts

Before the Youtube scam videos, a cyber attack on Twitter occurred earlier in February 2020. Hackers breached the accounts of popular personalities
such as Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Kanye West and used their platforms to announce fraudulent giveaways, claiming that
these wealthy people will double all Bitcoin sent to a certain address.

Ripple Labs vs Youtube

Last April, Ripple Labs also complained to Youtube about scam videos promising free XRP to people who will send any amount of XRP to a certain address.
Led by CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple Labs filed a lawsuit against the video-sharing platform after they failed to stop the scammers.

Fake Youtube videos of Garlinghouse promoting a fake 50 million XRP airdrop were reported, but Youtube was not able to remove the content
as quickly as Ripple Labs wanted. As a result, XRP holders lost their assets and Garlinghouse’s image was tarnished.

SpaceX Bitcoin Giveaway scam videos on Youtube

This type of scam isn’t entirely new but what boosted the attacks was SpaceX’s launch earlier this year. Scammers used this opportunity to use
big tech names and launch a massive fraudulent attack alongside SpaceX’s most anticipated launch.

Months since the first Twitter hacks in February, millions of dollars have been scammed off of unsuspecting victims. With some of these videos still
popping up on Youtube, people are still being robbed of their coins.

What do these Bitcoin Giveaway scams look like and what should you look out for?

Youtube Bitcoin video scams

https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.coingaming.io/bitcasino/images/Forum/bitcoin-scams-1.jpg

It’s almost a given that it’s a giveaway scam video if a clip of a famous personality
giving a speech with the words 'BTC Giveaway' is plastered all over the screen.

Here’s what happens so you know how to recognize a Youtube video scam:

* These videos show up as ads at the start, middle or end of any Youtube video.
It shows a screen saying if you send any amount of Bitcoin to the displayed address,
then Elon Musk, for example, will double your money and you’ll receive twice the
amount you sent from your wallet.

* The screen-grabbed video looks like a live streaming video.

* The screen provides the wallet address where the people can send their Bitcoin.

* The screen includes a site such as SpaceXBitcoin.org or Spacex.VC that supposedly
gives more information. If you check the sites, they contain information about the
fake giveaway that makes it believable to gullible eyes. These sites even have a terms and
conditions page but small discrepancies on this page should make you question its legitimacy.

* These videos come from Youtube channels that look legitimate, and some may even
be verified with a checkmark. That’s because scammers hacked legitimate Youtube accounts
and changed the branding and content to emulate that of Elon Musk’s SpaceX channel. In one live
stream in June, at least 80,000 people watched and 15.31 BTC were collected by the scammers.

Twitter impersonation Bitcoin scams

https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.coingaming.io/bitcasino/images/Forum/bitcoin-scams-jeff-bezos.jpg

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is among the many hacked Twitter accounts used to lure people into the giveaway scam.
The tweet was immediately deleted by the account.

Here’s how the Twitter impersonation scams worked so you know what to look out for:

* Hackers create accounts that impersonate verified Twitter accounts of celebrities
(Kanye West), influential people (Barack Obama) and companies (Coinbase and Binance).

* By impersonating other people, they tweet that they are giving back to the community
amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and will double all BTC sent to their given address.

* Aside from impersonation, scammers hacked multiple verified accounts of companies
and famous personalities and tweeted the same content saying they have partnered with
CryptoForHealth and are giving back to the community by doubling all funds sent to the given address.

Next actions taken by concerned parties after these scams

While the scammers remained anonymous, their movements could be traced through the blockchain. Cyber-security firms such as Adaptiv
tracked the flow of Bitcoin sent to vanity addresses containing names such as Elon Musk, Tesla or SpaceX and found over 66 addresses.

These addresses have been reported to Bitcoinabuse.com, a public database of Bitcoin addresses used by hackers and criminals.
Using Adaptiv’s research data, Bitcoinabuse found that 214 BTC have been sent to the Elon Musk vanity addresses alone,
accounting for more than USD$2 million.

Twitter’s cyber-attack response

During the Twitter cyber-attack in February and July, the social media site immediately responded and locked down the high-profile accounts
to prevent the scammers from tweeting any further. The CrypoForHealth scam website mentioned in the fraudulent tweets was immediately suspended
by Namesilo, the domain registrar used by the scammers.

Google and Youtube were sued

Unfortunately, things didn't go as smoothly in Youtube’s situation. Due to their slow response, tech entrepreneur Steve Wozniak sued Google and
Youtube for allowing scammers to use his name and image in these scams. Aside from Wozniak, 17 other victims are also suing the video-sharing platform.

Youtube denies liability saying that they are not at fault for the scammers using their platform. However, to appease the violated parties, Youtube stated,
'We take the abuse of our platform seriously and take action quickly when we detect violations.'

Ripple Labs was the first to file a lawsuit against Youtube with the accusation that despite having the power to stop the illicit use of their website,
the platform allegedly gained profit from the ad money.

Lots of people have complained to Google, who owns Youtube, since these videos keep popping up. Up to now, you can search ‘SpaceX special event’
on the platform and you’ll see streaming videos with the same screen sharing a QR code for a Bitcoin address and an Elon Musk interview clip.

How can you tell if it’s a Bitcoin scam?

If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
Some people have the notion that unlike fiat money, earning Bitcoin is easy. Alas, that’s not true. Receiving free Bitcoin already sounds sketchy and
a sweet promise can render a person irrational and pliable so make sure to not fall into such promises.

Be aware
There are plenty of scams out there, and the first thing you can do to avoid it is by being aware. Research and learn to detect red flags in deals or giveaways.
From blackmails, fake exchanges, phishing emails and free giveaways to pyramid schemes and malware, there are plenty of scams out there.

To protect yourself, learning about previous Bitcoin hacking and scamming incidents is good essential knowledge to have. This will help you
know how scammers were able to breach security protocols, and how you’ll be able to protect your funds.

For example, the controversial Mt. Gox incident where thousands of Bitcoin were stolen taught crypto holders to never store their funds on an exchange site (https://bit.ly/3lFgjRZ)
due to its vulnerability. Instead, invest in a secure crypto wallet (https://bit.ly/3gQTKpN) and transfer your coins as soon as you receive them.

Run a search
If you’re sceptical, run a search to see if the giveaway is a scam. There’s a high chance that other holders have seen it and are questioning
its legitimacy as well. Forums are one of the best places to do this as you can ask your fellow crypto enthusiasts to help certify the legitimacy of a giveaway.

Check the legitimacy of the site
Scam alert sites such as Bitcoinabuse and Scam Alert are created for this purpose. Go to any of these sites and check if the site in question
has already been reported there.

If a contact number or email address is given, reach out and ask for verification or certification. Ask security questions and request to speak with
a customer service staff since bots can run messaging applications.

What to do if you come across a Bitcoin scam?

If you come across a Bitcoin scam, you should report it to Bitcoinabuse and Scam Alert first so the sites can be taken down.
Afterwards, you should report the video and channel to Youtube as fraudulent activity or report the tweet and questionable account to Twitter.

It is vital to report the site to Bitcoinabuse and Scam Alert first because if you report the video or tweet to their respective companies,
they will be taken down but the website will still be live.

Can you recover a scammed Bitcoin?

Unfortunately, crypto transactions are irreversible as per the blockchain. Once you send funds to a scammer’s address,
there is nothing you can do to get it back. That’s why it’s important to educate yourself about these crypto scams (https://bit.ly/34UIC8S) since once you’re pulled into them,
there is no insurance and you will not be able to get your money back.

Cheers,
Karl

Just a simple step don't send out money or Bitcoin if it is a giveaway then why would you need to send first before receiving it?
That is the only thing that you should never forget on crypto or in every currency.
Just ask yourself why would you even need to pay in order to receive a free giveaways?

No giveaway will ask for payment or any returns in any forms and people should always bare that on their mind since many scammers are using now a high profile identities to create an appealing attention to the people who's seeking an opportunity.

People should remember always that to good to be true is so risky and always end up scam.

This is the simple truth about avoiding being scammed also in real life. Whatever is genuine shouldn't be attached with you first obliging. The fear of not responding back as expected when duty or obligation has been carried out is the reason we have escrow in certain services

Twitter hacks on popular accounts

As we know, scams and hacks due to Bitcoin have increased a lot in recent years.
And these scams are due to the lack of sufficient knowledge of most people in the world to install bitcoins.
In my opinion, these behaviors should be stopped as soon as possible, otherwise the face of bitcoin in the world will change.

For example, I say: A 40-year-old person who does not know bitcoin and hears the news of hacking, theft, fraud, etc. every day, gets discouraged about installing bitcoin and says (why not buy my money in gold or etc ?).
The mentality of the society must change.

This topic is interesting, in our local Spanish forum we have touched on this topic a lot, what many people should know is that to give away money or Bitcoin is almost impossible, many people do not understand it, only on rare occasions that actually it They do, most people still do not identify very well this type of scams, the easiest way to realize it is when they offer to earn a lot for doing nothing or little.

It is true that, as you said, many people do not know much about this area, and this ignorance opens the way for fraud and theft.
We need to think about this.
I have also talked about teaching this information to children in this article. You can see:

That idea itself is already suspicious because giveaways are meant to be given for free without you having to give money first before receiving one. And also, when it's too good to be true, we should really be careful and not to easily believe that kind of giveaways. It's very rampant now that we keep seeing fake and scam giveaways in poplar social media platforms just like mentioned above yet, people still fall for it repeatedly. Even in our local board, there's always an issue of using popular and influential people to deceive others

During the years I have been in the crypto market, there have been many forms of fraud as mentioned above, including airdrop projects. They asked us to send a small fee to receive something bigger. I don't think someone is good enough to give away his possessions to people we don't know. If they were really good they went to charity.

There is no giveaway like that and it obviously doesn't make sense to me, especially taking action on Youtube live and also several profiles of well-known people as a result of their hacking, most of which are the giveaway medium and it's flat with the name Binance oh my God what are they is it stupid that every day keep changing the domain to a new one? and I'm sure people already know that it's a perpetual scamer.

Sometimes there are services where you really need to make such a Deposit to withdraw money. This is a normal practice especially for a casino or a betting aggregator. This is the usual protection against bots and robots that conduct automatic mass registrations, thereby receiving some bonuses from the platforms.

Common line here that should be always remembered:

"If something seems too good to be true then it’s probably a scam"

its pretty basic but there are still lots of people who do still fall into these giveaway scams. If they have just use their own common sense
they can really point it out.

Twitter giveaway scam was popular even before. And the number one targeted people are the followers of Vitalik and CZ.

They were making fake accounts similar to these personalities and will do the same trick of asking to send any amount and they'll send with the promise of higher amount later.

Even though many of us in forum have knowledge on how to treat the scam giveaways like this, I know that there are still many people who will be baited by this scam. Those people who are greed in money which always want to double their investment in a day will fall for this giveaways scam. Who will easily caught up by giveaways which will you send bitcoin to them? This is the reason why I did not browse any giveaways in social media app because most of them are scammers. They are just spamming the social media with their fake giveaways.

Today the internet has become so insecure: Twitter, Google, You tube. We have witnessed these scams, as we know the pattern of these scammers it is very difficult to fall into the trap.
Sad is for those who do not know how these cyber criminals act and they are scammed by large amounts of money valued in Bitcoin and Ether, the most used cryptos.

Avoid anything that says they would return you 200% (or more) of whatever you invested, those are flags for scams. Even if famous people did so, better not do so, especially with how recently such issue has happened. Tbh, anything, or any giveaway, that asks you to pay or give money isn't really a give away already, more like it's a promo or something. The word "giveaway" is used to make it seem like you're actually winning, but let's be real here, you're losing a lot in this case. It's almost like gambling at that point, and really, I think gambling is more trustworthy since a win guarantees a return back, while giveaways still have that chance of you getting scammed.

Simple solution to everyone's plight regarding giveaways is actually the harsh reality, there's no easy way to earn money. Just work hard and smart, you'd see returns after a few years.

Scams come in so many faces. Even in Twitter scams are not just in the form of fake giveaways, double-your-money schemes, or investment opportunities with unbelievably high ROI promises. Asking for charitable donations is also being done by scammers.

As a matter of fact, just yesterday, the verified Twitter account of India's prime minister, Narendra Modi, was hacked by a certain 'John Wick' and posted a tweet asking people to "donate generously to PM National Relief Fund for Covid-19." The hacker proceeded to state the preferred currency, "Kindly Donate Bitcoin…"[1]

So everybody should be watchful not just with regard to investment opportunities but also with those which appeals to our sympathy.

If the giveaway is good to be true, you need to be careful because, as we know, if the giveaway is real, we don't have to send any money, but it is okay if we only send an email. But the scammers will use many ways to trick their target people, and sometimes if we are not smart enough to think if that is real or not, we can get scam too.

But unfortunately, when people see or read about the giveaway, they will do anything because they think that the giveaway is real, even if they need to send their documents. That will need our concern if we don't want to get scam, and if we read about the giveaway, we need to search for the other news to know more about that.

And most of those hackers are using popular accounts so those users will believe that such personality is sincere enough for returns and rewards.

Just always remember that there is no easy high returns, huge rewards. And never ever believe that giving out crypto will have gauranteed you that they will give it back with high interests. Theres no such thing like that.
Unless you gamble with 50/50 chance with your btc.

Whenever i see some posts like this, i always click the report button so they will be some alert to the social media teams that someone is trying to scam people.

This is old news. Why do we have to discuss this again.
Those Youtube scams are so stupid I can't imagine what kind of people are actually sending their Bitcoins to such obviously fake "giveaways".
If somebody is "giving away" lots of Bitcoin, but wants you to send him a small amount of BTC before that, that's an obvious scam.
Youtube and Twitter are sued for this scam, but I think that it's not their fault.Such big companies can't solve the problem of having thousands of hacked accounts in a few days.

All these scams are only showing how incompetent these companies are in stopping hacks and scams especially Youtube and twitter. I have been seeing a lot of these scams still active and every day a new one pops up. Either they cannot control their own system or these are all insider jobs.

It is always better to avoid such Giveaways or Airdrops on these platforms.

dont blame the platform yet because i believe they do also   care . i know youtube is strict and its also asociated with google so they dont want to allow such things that will make thier company look bad but to twitter , they can be less strict but they already released a statement regarding on the hackings happened . we can assume that they were now tightening   thier system .

for now yes thats recomended until both platforms are totally cleaned out and upgraded on their latest security  . theyl soon announce if its already safe for us  to participate on such form of crypto giveaways

What I'm familiar with is reporting the domain directly to where it was registered like namecheap for the site to be taken down. I may have heard about scamalert before but this is my first time hearing about Bitcoinabuse so I had to search for it. I think it's a very important part of the post and the link should have been provided too.

Always be aware of these schemes that can make you lose your money.

FAKE GIVEAWAYS are really suspicious and very obvious so expect that it will only fool and disappoint you. There are a lot of newbies who fall for that schemes that's why it is important for that to become the topic in this forum. Don't send money if you think that the thing that you are accessing feels sketchy or doubtful.

Value your asset above all and don't let it become wasted or suddenly disappear with just one wrong mistakes.

The day that twitter hacks happened, I knew it was a scam. If anyone wants to do a giveaway, they will never tell you to send bitcoin, not to talk of highly influential people. Imagine Barack Obama telling you to send money before he can help you. This is really very dumb because even before now, many of those influential people that posted the giveaway have not openly mentioned their support for the bitcoin in the past

This is not new I see a lot of free giveaway with the platform youtube and the only tag you will use is

Live and Giveaway then add the coin you want to search like
"bitcoin giveaway live"
"Ethereum giveaway live"

Also, there are a lot of reports right there on our beginners and help and scams accusations.

How to identify if this is a scam.

Most of them are having a

Deposit to join this event
Secured
Can double or triple your money

It's better if we keep reporting on this kind of platform to make more awareness. It's not too hard today if to find out because it's too much suspicious all of the statement they are giving on the banner.

If you are in the crypto space for quite some time already, you probably seen different kinds of scams.
This is just one of the very common but effective way scammers are using to lure some newbie investors.

I've seen many ads in Youtube regarding BTC, XRP and ETH giveaways (like doubler thingy). The recent twitter hack just to scam newbies are very obvious too. Its just that investors are ignorant and they get fall easily to these kind of scams. Well like I always said, investors will not learn if they will not experience it so... let them experience it first in order for them to adjust :).

I saw ETH giveaways ads on youtube regularly. sigh.

Completely agree, that even the first word that everyone should notice - it is giveaway, that means there will not be collecting from people. And of course everyone should make the analysis about the amounts, how real they are, just simple calculations and the reality before making some steps under emotions. Of course I would add it is better to find real pages of those real people whose profiles are used for such things. And even sometimes it is so hard to understand at first glance that it is fake account. So it is like a variant to ask about this giveaway on forums where you will find answers exactly.

Pretty much if you ever see someone iconic claiming to offer you some sort of way to win or invest then stay away. I have even seen scams claiming my president endorses a certain bitcoin scam. It's crazy... These guys have absolutely no shame at all. Trever Noah was also used and the scammers said he was investing. This "bitcoin revolution" scam is still going on. Magical ways to bank that will make you rich. So much crap. Even Instagram is showing these ads.

All they need to do is prove the giveaway address actually exists by signing the wallet with the BTC in. So if I give away 10btc I send the 10btc to a new wallet and I sign that new wallet for the giveaway. That is what I love about crypto. You cannot lie about this sort of thing.

This will help you know how scammers were able to breach security protocols, and how you’ll be able to protect your funds.

Pretty much scams are everywhere in a lot of social media platforms like twitter, telegram, Facebook, etc. since they could just make an account easily and encourage some people to invest.

Hack account is really convincing since you could see the blue check in the twitter account and you know its a legitimate account, but I think the lesson here is just don't send any amount of funds when doing giveaways.

remember when ads related to bitcoin or crypto was banned by Google and Facebook?
now they promote the actual scams. they surely need to hire more ads and social media evaluators.
I saw ETH giveaways ads on youtube regularly. sigh.

Every ads are paid so they are not really filtered, for google its just all about money when it comes to ads. I think when you don't have a lot of knowledge clicking ads is not new or always a thing.

You could easily make ads as long as you paid google, just picked some keyword and google is going to display your ads. Still, I guess you just need to know how scams works I guess I never get scam again after I know how scams work online.

It could be filtered but what google is doing is that they rely to their AI in accepting promotions, in that way they cannot reject one's offer if they paid the whole price for the ads. If they could done it manually, they could have been more strict about these stuff but that will generate a lot of work from them, besides technology does everything now isn't it?

This is why some scams are being advertised in google, no wonder there are people who thinks that some promotions from google is legit and so they are buying into it. Too sad for those who can't distinguish legit from a scam project.

Actually scam schemes are now easy to be known for those are really old school and very obvious in nature and those who will get caught into such fraudulent actions must be just new into this industry for they are still not familiar of obvious scam schemes such as fake giveaways being announced at social media platforms like YouTube, Twitter and Telegram. At first glance, you must come into thinking that why would you bother to send a decent amount into a specific given address if that is intended to do giveaways at the first place? It should have asked you for a task to be qualified for the event and not a payment to claim such rewards.

It would be just short and simple. No shortcut and simple way of doubling and obtaining Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies but hardwork coming from your own effort. Do not rely on such things like giveaways for it is almost impossible for like that to exist and they will surely be targeting the new ones so everyone must be aware and informed to determine obvious scams to be able not to get fooled and be victimized. Keep yourself updated and knowledgeable about how things work in this industry and it could save you from potential risk of being scammed.

For me, google is not really trying and AI are already set in that way, maybe it is going to generate a lot of work to them and if you think about it your not really going to paid to fix a problem that is giving you a profit.

A lot of ads are obviously a scam or just illegal things that even AI should be able to detect but maybe as long as it is paid it should still be good to go no matter what. This is just how advertisement works in every platform, I guess there are some exceptions by the majority are like this.

Never stop learning, be knowledgeable about how things work or scams works, since there are so many users in the forum that is sharing their experience on how they get scam by some random guy, we should have an idea about what is their method in scamming, etc. A lot of giveaways in the past year are a bit profitable but its kinda change already and mostly are just data gathering to get information from the community.

Recent Bitcoin giveaway scams
While giveaway scams are not new to the Bitcoin community, this kind of targeted modus using social media has been going on as early as
February 2020. From Elon Musk to Jeff Bezos and now Vitalik Buterin, these scam videos change their “main face” every few months to attract
unsuspecting victims.
People often mock the victims and say that they don't understand how they fell for it, but I believe that a broad anti-scam educational campaign is needed. There should be some social ads and warnings about the sorts of scam that is common online. It's also important to point out there that real accounts can be hacked, fake accounts might look quite real and official-looking emails might be faked as well.
Youtube Bitcoin video scams

https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.coingaming.io/bitcasino/images/Forum/bitcoin-scams-1.jpg

It’s almost a given that it’s a giveaway scam video if a clip of a famous personality
giving a speech with the words 'BTC Giveaway' is plastered all over the screen.
As for Youtube, I think their big mistake is that they fail to take down the videos fast enough. Scamming live steams and videos are often available for at least a couple of days before Youtube takes them down, even if people report the video. Meanwhile, sometimes their algorithms block videos from relatively normal crypto vloggers (at least, not outright scammers). They have to work on improving the system.

This is the problem why newbies get scammed easily because they don't know anything yet.
Just remember this line "if it's too good to be true, then it's prolly a scam".
And also, there are no free in this world–it is either you pay or work for that something to get it.
Always do your own research, it will be very helpful in the future.

People will not fall in any scam activities even scammers use a popular personality if they are not greedy and they think wisely. Only those with the desire to earn big instantly usually fall on this kind of scam strategy. Also before joining their scam giveaways people should do some research first to find out if it is real or not.

Many victims can't avoid this plaque called scam because of their actions towards getting quick money on the internet. They don't do research to ascertain what they intend to invest with rather they are after the return of their investment which always end in scam. Don't fall for any investment with the word "guarantee investment", they're all fraudulent investment platforms as history said. In conclusion, be contented with what you have and don't attempt doing multiplayer

I agree. Especially if the reward on a giveaway is a huge amount, the other party will surely ask for something in return like promoting them or getting them certain number of audience. Always be skeptical, that is the golden rule when in comes to dealing with anything over the internet.

Newbies can be easily carried away with huge mouth-watering and giveaway dangled at them, in fact it will even be an herculean task to convince some of them that those giveaway are scam mere mention of Vitalik Buterin to some them will assumed its real coupled with the fact that a reputable and credible social media like YouTube is advertising the giveaway, a lot sensitization has to be done to prevent newbies against falling for these scams the OP had did justice to these issues its left for newbies to learn and understand how scammers operates using social media.

Simple way is that there is no giveaway that would be about you sending from your own wallet. The moment that is happening, it's stopped being giveaway. Again, there is no giveaway that does not demand that perform some functions as that performance is always the qualifying role for that giveaway. So, it's basically don't get greedy. There is no free money anywhere.

I agree, in this case it is better not to be greedy. Otherwise, things may not go according to the scenario you planned. The commissions are quite small considering that the way we pay for our purchases (I'm talking about cryptocurrency now) is very progressive, so such commissions are even a plus.

These kinds of bitcoin and even ethreum this is not a new thing into the platform on youtube and twitter as far as I know even on Facebook too and most likely their targets are the newbie investors because not all the time the knowledgeable right here on our forum because most of us now are enlightened about this kind of transaction but the newbies are not.

Most of the time they are using the names of the large known people investors even the artist just to encourage to makes an investment with their channel and this is the common type of action they usually do to find some victims.

Their platform always needed to send them a bitcoin or eth payment so you can have an entry this is suspicious, right?

A give away with payment to participants on the event?

After the live for sure your money will gone too immediately the same with your hopes that you thing you can earn double or triple your money instantly.

So if you happen to find or see something that is too good to be true plus the account that you knew is offering, it's time for you to think twice and be skeptical since there are no easy money nor free in this world. Use that brain to find out the truth since scammer are always looking for an easy target the "newbies".

Most of the time this is actually the main reason and majority did really experience such scenario on where we do get scammed because we do believe that these things do really exist or possible.
Until we do lost up money and thats the time we do realize and learnt up things but it isnt really necessary for a newbie to experience loss before he would able to learn because if he's really that serious
on anything or do value up his money then he would definitely make up some research into things and would be aware on how things do work in crypto field.

Only greedy people are victims of Bitcoin giveaway scams, because in fact most people do expect instant money.
Therefore it is very easy for scammers to trick their victims, if indeed the person is greedy and expects instant money.
Actually scams like this are very easy to avoid, we just need not to make a deposit first for every rewards we get from
giveaway. Why do we have to spend money to get a giveaway, these are simple things we have to do to avoid giveaway
scams.

I follow Elon musk on twitter and the amount of posts that are inundated on his feed with these scams are crazy. Still there are so many people that are falling for them. Mostly it will be the new ones in crypto getting scammed not the ones who know what to look out for.

There are a lot of celebrities who was been used in scams like this.

Elon Musk is not the only person who are used in these fake schemes in twitter. They say that they will double your bitcoin once you send them first which is very sketchy. FAKE GIVEAWAYS are really obvious and if you are aware and knowledgeable about that, you will not become a victim of these scams. Newbies should be aware and don't engage easily on those schemes that criminals are using to steal your money and fool you.
