Title: [XCP] Counterparty Protocol - Assets / Issuers Thread
Post by: CryptoFinanceUK on March 23, 2014, 10:42:09 AM
I'll be maintaining this as a quick reference to the most important assets / issuers on the Counterparty Protocol (https://www.counterparty.co/).

If you can see any important ones that are missing, please post them below.

XBTC (https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,160.0.html)

Using this gateway service you can swap BTC for XBTC tokens (which are native to Counterparty) and, using these, you can trade on the distributed exchange against any native Counterparty asset without considering fees, troll orders or needing to wait for the other side of the trade to trigger a BTCPay (see here (https://www.counterparty.co/wiki/assets/), under "Exchanging BTC for other assets" for an explanation of BTCPay).

XBTC is a native Counterparty asset and can be held in full escrow by Counterparty.

LTBCoin (http://ltbcoin.com/)

Coming Soon. This is the internal currency of the Let's Talk Bitcoin (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/) content network. LTBCoin is positioned as the first "Network Coin" and aims to give content creators working on the Let's Talk Bitcoin show a stake in its success, to enable others to speculate on the success of the project, and as a means of buying sponsorship on the show itself. The currency is currently preparing for its initial disbursement (http://ltbcoin.com/discussion/6/here-before-the-ltbcoin-launch-get-your-part-of-the-initial-disbursement-for-the-initial-community).

Bitcoin Tangible Trust (http://bitcointangibletrust.com/)

Bitcoin Tangible Trust have published their intention (https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php?topic=179.0) to offer gold coins via the Counterparty Protocol in order to allow customers to bet on gold prices and to avoid volatility risk. Bitcoin Tangible Trust are aiming to be a physical gold custodian and digital gold asset issuer.
