The company is teasing the arrival of the Radeon RX 6000 GPU series with an Easter egg inside the hit game Fortnite. Gamer Gina Darling noticed it while visiting AMD’s Battle Arena in Fortnite. After entering a phone booth inside one of the maps, her character was transported to a secret “AMD Radeon” room that contains a special console.

After entering the numbers “6000” into the console, the room then displayed the words “Something Big Is Coming to the AMD Battle Arena.”

The key word is “Big,” an apparent reference to the “Big Navi” graphics cards AMD has been indicating would arrive some time this year to address the high-end PC gaming market.

On Twitter, executives with AMD confirmed the Fortnite Easter egg, and hinted there were more hidden secrets concerning the upcoming GPUs. “Right under your noses :)

Ah, the Big Navi. Any ETH hashrate estimates?

Last I heard 3080 does 115 mh/s on eth with 300 watts., if the amd 6xxx series does not come with hbm2 then it might be a problem for amd on the mining segment.

That's still fresh, miner software and driver optimizations might squeeze more hashes out of that.

Mining rig density works best if a card is more efficient even if not at a very significant level but as long as the hashrate is almost tripled. Like around 150 mhs for 270watts vs 150mhs for 300 watts of 5700xt(3x).

If hbm2e can pull off 150mhs at 230watts or better then we have a winner here. Fury, nano and radeon vii "hbm" did not dissapoint. I have a high expectation to this tech....is it a threadripper to ryzen 9 success? We will see.

16gb is just about right, will not disappoint for about 3 years minimum.

i think new card come with 16gb gddr6  hbm2 is very expensive amd cant make good price to fight nvidia if use hbm2

AMD is expected to use GDDR6 on its Big Navi / RDNA 2 / Navi 2X graphics card, and not HBM2 memory -- with a November 2020 launch.

AMD's upcoming Big Navi has been in the rumor mill the entire year, with whispers that it would use 24GB of HBM2e memory with 2TB/sec of memory bandwidth -- but new reports suggest AMD won't be using HBM2 or HBM2e memory on the Navi 2X cards at all.

If you look at the 5xxx series, AMD managed to make efficient video cards based on the ethash algorithm with low power consumption. The new graphics cards should outperform their competitors Nvidia in Ethereum mining.
800 euros for 115 mx from Nvidia is a good result, but it could be a publicity stunt.

There are two reviews that we need to see about this card,
1. The gamer's review, it will add awareness to all gamers about this new product of AMD.
2. and of course the miner's review, well first of all many miners here will definitely waiting for it.

Good luck to AMD!

We are all waiting to see the new cards hashrates to think what to do in a few months, new 3xxx series of Nvidia or new AMD cards?
This new generation of cards can bring a new rush for hardware if the prices of ETH and BTC continues to rise and now coronacrisis can make the situation even worse about supply

But we can make some predictions that AMD will be better again in efficiency in ETH while Nvidia will be good at another algos

A few years ago the gpus that are on the lime light was the RX 500 series and 1070 nviidia, but after a years, this cards are no longer available in mining ethereum,  i never get the ROI of my 20 rx 570, I was bought it a month before mining goes unprofit, well that's the saddest part of mining story.

Then you do something wrong. My 570 (bought back in 2017) all reach the ROI and why you say it still not available in eth mining? You can still mining Eth with 570 or nvidia 1070.

I hear that AMD will be offering HBM2 versions.

Only for professional.

I found this beast on youtube review >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6sbW6H5jCg

What do you think about this gpu, the reviewer got 45MH and he told that if the official driver will become available, it will get the 100-120MH per card and the power consumption is so cool, it has only consumed 65w.

Its $1,900 your roi is years, plus the I wouldn't hold my breath for better drivers they always say that.  $1900 is 7 RX 5600 XTs at 280 mh.

Nothing special. Most SQRL products are scam or not supported anymore. Redpanda Mining is also a noob, with limited knowledge.

I think the new AMD cards (maybe some new nvidia RTX also) can beat this hash per watt ratio.

I have no idea how this youtuber just only to post his vlogg using this card, but as per his advertisement this card will reach 120MH plus of hashrate if the better version of driver will become available, But as you said this card might be a hype to all miners.

If 512 gb/s is true even with perfect miner we are bound to ~60MH/s :(
Compared to the increase in CU that somehow feels extremely crippled compared with 5700. Anf 6700 even with less bandwidth then 5700?

In this situation even the size of 16G will not help.

we all know amd favor to miner in the past, if this happen vega still the best gpu for the price, eth turn to be profitable again and power consumption doesnt count in this bull run

The question is how much memory overclock these GPUs can take and of course price ratio.
