there is a new checkpoint on the ChessCoin 0.32% Blockchain @blk.2040000

The problem is, Windows 10 keeps updating one of my staking computers and Chess isn't set to run at launch.  So, haven't been running the wallet lately. 

Should I just let the old wallet sync?

The blockchain is reloaded with protocol 60014... this is not compatible with 60013

So, where can we get some of these coins to start staking?

You say is a hardfork, but you don't mention from what coin it was forked. It would be nice to know to see who are the coin holders. And if you can share with us the official site of the coin, that would be awesome.

The last time i did staking was some years ago with clam coin, and i'm waiting to find another nice coin for this but with a decent revenue. Maybe this is the one, i will keep an eye on it.

Their money supply is unlimited. So I don't think it is really worth staking this coin.
Would be hard to achieve a good value in the market.
And besides, no website, and what use case are they going to explore here?
If just staking, difficult to be valuable in the current market.
So many coins are sprouting everyday. So there's a lot of choice for traders to look at.

lol, then it sounds like a terrible coin... with infinite supply, without a page or a team to back it up with being impossible for them to make something from it.

I will keep an eye on the new staking coins, and after reading this commend form TT i will skip this coin, sound as a joke now.

Anyone can create a new fork, but that doesn0t mean the had to do it. If the new users want to fork a coin just to learn how to do it, that's fine, but please don't take that experiment as a valid new coin,

So, from the beginning - this is how the blockchain is composed...

Blk 1 to blk.1999792 is ChessCoin 32% Vision 1.0
after the Hard Fork @blk. 1999793 we have a blockchain 0.32%
and have a year with security under ChessCoin 0.32% Vision 1.1. worked.
Both clients were under protocol 60013

It have made an update and ChessCoin 0.32% is now under protocol 60014 - therefore the blockchain has to be reloaded...

Now we have taken new pictures, new checkpoint and the chesscoin.conf is automatically and immediately connected to the network.




Now the code should be a little cleaner... we think there is no danger but the code is being examined...

I think the blockchain is cooked.  I just sync'd with no wallet, I put my wallet back in there, and it does back to half sync'd and not syncing/connection....there is a thread on here recently about how devs can make a chain crooked to serve their purposes.   Otherwise, how do I get my old coins back?

Thanks.   I do still have a balance it shows.  Now hopefully a good bootstrap and up again.  .32% a year isn't much of a stake reward but guess if the coin becomes a sponsor again it should have a good rise in price.

0.32% a year is nothing... if you invest $100 you get only 32 cents, what a joke...

chess coin has no blockchain and is simply a coin on the ethereum network...
chesscoin is our start with 32% and we made a hard fork of it to 0.32% at block 1999793...

ChessCoin 0.32% relieves the blockchain properly and we can work with it in the next few years... we will do 12 blocks per hour and the blockchain will grow by 100,000 blocks per year...
ChessCoin 0.32% has its own blockchain and we are independent and can load the blockchain onto any laptop... it's not difficult and easy... try it out...

ChessCoin 0.32% want to find a game developer and build a chess game into the clients and this become independent of other chess sites... and there should be technical updates to stay up to date...

You should add a faucet to the site, at least that way some people can experiment with the wallet and understand better how the staking gets done.

At the end of the year, a brief review of 2020

In the spring, after the hard fork, ChessCoin 32% was almost history and in the last few days of an exchange we were able to download the blockchain and thus ensure its continued existence…

The series of tests were positive until late summer and the conviction that we had stabilized ChessCoin 32% made room for itself. Until then there was version 1.1

From September we could win a developer for the work on ChessCoin 032% who specified the code and was able to roll it out with a new protocol version 1.2
 
Today we have made further progress than we initially thought and we are driving on sight, which offers us a framework for the continued operation of ChessCoin 32% without high costs.

I am getting into this coin for 2 reasons, its rebirth was on my birthday on September 28 and I love Chess.  It should have an official soundtrack, the Chess musical.  It makes me think of all of the stamps I collect with chess as a topic.  :)

I've read through the thread and before jumping in I have some questions:

- Who can I consider the team to be behind this? It seems AKKP initiated this, AKKP account was created back in 2013 but no activity in that time, the account became active in the old chesscoin thread during the organization of the chess tournament. Any more info about the account would be highly appreciated. I can also see that ZzzzeyeZzzz is on board with this, that account was quite active in the old thread. And finally the releases https://github.com/AKKPP/ChessCoin/releases are done by lasergun (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=89317), this account seems to be involved in something called 42 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1502028.0), but no previous involvement in chesscoin, is this somewhat related to CC032?

Any information on the accounts involved and the projects interacting with CC032 would be very helpful.

- The virustotal scan is detecting some issues, are they all false positives? Can anyone explain why we shouldn't be alarmed by virustotal detections?

- Does anyone have experience with the exchanges listing CC032, anyone successfully deposited and withdrawed from there, anyone know if they do KYC? I'll DMOR but wanted to know the experience others have.

- Finally do we know who actually did the hard fork?

I could also offer a bounty (less than for fixing) for anyone who would explain for each false positive why it is a false positive and why it's safe to install the wallet. It's great you are now able to keep this good coin going. 

I think the biggest problem with the coin now is that you made it fairly useless to run a wallet for a staking reward.  That makes it good for bagholders but not good for everyone else.  It's interesting if a recoding could change that for future versions.  Many major coins now are staking coins.

So we definitely have no transportation costs at all! Why should we subsidize transport costs?

If you have more than 350,000 ChessCoins you also get a vote and can vote on whether we should change the staking reward... we now have developers who can also make this change! ;)

- Since there is a new client, do you know why the GitHub releases page is still showing September 25, 2020?
- Does the virustotal diagnosis on the Windows file guarantee that the macOS and Ubuntu files are okay as well?

We tested the client but did not meet the requirements of the developers... they are a special professional group and the only one who can work unregulated and without an examination...
we cannot accept blackmail and have refused to pay for the blackmail.

Now we come to Windows... Windows is what triggers the virus alert because it's built into this software!
With macOS and Ubuntu there is no virus alert - because there is no virus!

Windows says it's a virus and now we have to prove it isn't a virus?

- This repo https://github.com/Laser9un/ChessCoin seems to have ChessCoin 1.0 as well but with a new logo and a commit from April 27 2021. How is it possible that this commit is so recent whereas the history page says the logo was changed on July 3 2016?
- This one https://github.com/devbest555/ChessCoin-1/releases/tag/1.0.7-win has ChessCoin 1.0 release for Windows dating back to April 26 2021. This looks odd as well.

There is no virus in the code or in the clients of ChessCoin 1.2
It is an program algorithms that think they have found a virus and then other virus programs come and orient themselves based on these results!
For example Microsoft Windows Defender thinks that his algorithm has found a virus in the Client and the next program jumps on this train and also makes a virus report...  ;)

Why are you still using so ancient libs? The current actual versions are openssl-1.1.1l, boost-1.76.0, miniupnpc-2.2.2.

It was not possible to trace whether this delay was deliberately planned...

The latest github win release, v1.5.1 I started running 2 days ago was staking smaller than usual amounts and when syncing the previous release showed these as invalid, so it was staking on either its own fork or a bunch of new clients. Now running v1.4 with 11 connections and normal stake amounts.

Sorry... we haven't changed anything in the coin rewards code... the blockchain has no bugs and there are no forks either... you can't create new blocks since version 1.4.1 before you have the blockchain is fully synchronized...

No problem. Pretty sure the chain was synced, that's why I'm posting here. Had it running in between 24-36 hours, rewards like 0.004 each (usually 0.1'ish). Anyway, thought I'd mention it.

Perhaps it's something simple, such as version number, that makes client clusters compete over the longest chain. The explorer is probably running v1.4. Not a stake wallet expert though.

Edit, I ran my wallet with -rescan and now stake in sync with the explorer on v1.4

Dextrade has delisted cc32. I'm looking into alternatives. Does anyone have any experience with other exchanges, like Latoken? Were you able to withdraw safely? Is KYC mandatory?

I'll do my own research, and wanted to get your input as well.

Yes, we had no deals on Dextrade... but whatever!
You can sell your CC32 however you want... we are waiting for our mainnet to attract curiosity...
We are now making our own AI and adding a browser, we are sticking to the roots and using what has been confirmed...

If only it were that simple... All the exchanges seem to have bad reviews so I'm not comfortable using them. Have you or anyone used latoken, finexbox, coinsbit or exchange-assests with no issues?

Again if anyone has experience with those exchanges and wants to sell on them, or simply wants to buy chess, I'll be happy to sell for a discount. Let me know.

I have tested all exchanges...
but I recommend keeping ChessCoin in your wallet and supporting the network...
The exchanges are actually only there to exchange coins and then withdraw them again... test them first with small volumes before making large buy and sales!  ;)

To be honest, the reviews are really not encouraging. If you have tested them and was able to withdraw with no issues, can you help with selling? I can sell you some chesscoins for a discount and you can then sell them on any exchange you want.

Well small is relative, Bitcoin withdrawal fees are either 0.0005 or 0.001 so I need to sell more than that. It's relatively small, still I would not like to lose that. Plus there is no guarantee they will let me withdraw big amounts if they let me withdraw small amounts. They could let me withdraw once or twice and then block my funds until I KYC or whatever before letting me withdraw again, or worse they could just keep them...

What do you mean by that? Where do you think the curiosity will come from? Are you planning some advertising campaigns, or better, a listing on a major exchange :)?
